The best Chinese food! I haven't given a rating of all 5 starts before today. The food was excellent. Far above what I expected. Had the special wonton soup, everything in it delicious. Crab Rangoon and pan fried gyoza were great. Mongolian beef and special fried rice some of the best ever. The restaurant atmosphere was buzzing packed on a rainy Tuesday but not too loud. The owner John came over and talked to us a few times getting to know us and telling us about himself, family, and the history of their store. Never felt more at home. Can't wait to go back.
Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The hot and sour soup was fresh and delicious. The cashew chicken was outstanding and flavorful. Great portions at excellent prices. I highly recommend this place. The best part of the experience was my waitress Thea who was very friendly, attentive and went above and beyond.
The food here is really good. Some reviews complain about the prices, and while they are a little higher than other places in the area, the quality of the food is miles above what other places are offering. The quality is worth the price. Service was also incredible and the 3rd generation owner even stopped by our table to make sure everything was good. Will definitely come back.
Absolutely amazing food !!! Service amazing!!!! Absolutely 5 + stars. Authentic food!!! Beautiful atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone.

This was our first time visiting the new location. The dining room is clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the food including hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef, and shrimp with mixed vegetables. Everything was hot and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive.

I always feel so welcome when I come to pick up my to-go food. Not that a restaurant has to make you feel good when you go there, but when it happens you want to keep going back because they're doing something they don't have to do. They just want to. Plus I have gluten allergies so I get the Singapore noodles using Chow fan rice noodles. They are really thick and the best noodles I've ever had in my entire life. I'm addicted. Their menu is bigger than that and my friends always enjoy it but I'm limited to a select few items including fried rice. Go eat there. Or take out. Plus the place is really clean.
I loved this restaurant since I went there for the first time. The food is excellent, the portion is huge and the price is reasonable. The owner is a people's person and go from table to table greeting and spreading good vibes to all customers. The egg roll is fantastic and the place is simple, clean and cozy. Thank you for the great customer service and excellent food.
This restaurant was absolutely delicious. Very high quality very tasty Chinese food that honestly is hard to come by in south Florida. The management is fantastic and they deserve every bit of success they receive. If you have the chance definitely give Lotus a try. I cannot recommend them enough!
Great food, cooked to perfection, wonderful mix of fresh vegetables, and generous portions.
On Saturday, my family and I opted for a night out, choosing to savor Chinese cuisine. Being a thorough researcher when it comes to dining out, I stumbled upon a true gem. The food was not only delicious but what truly elevated the experience was the exceptional customer service. A gentleman, possibly the owner or manager, engaged us in conversation, inquiring if it was our first visit. Our waitress offered excellent recommendations. Delighted to declare this as our new go-to Chinese restaurant, and we hope they continue to thrive.
Friendly wait staff. Comfortable booth and table seating.
I went to lotus because one of my clients who lived near that area recommended it. It happen to be some of the best chinese food i found outside of the Miami area. Rice was clean with flavor and the chicken was fried crispy and still a light color which usaully means the grease used was newer. I was surprised because being a installer i run into alot of bad food spots lol.
Best Chinese in town. I've been going since they were on 26th Street. I'm happy to report the food is still the great quality they had before and the atmosphere is even better. Great people there too! Love it.
There are so many places to choose from when what something inparticlar well we choose the right one lastnight. Lotus was everything we had hope and more. The food was hot and plentiful and so good. But I must speak to the service of this gem. We were quite surprised when the owner/manager came around to our table to make sure we were happy and he genuinely just talked like we'd know him forever. It was our first visit but if we weren't from Nebraska we would be back time and time again.
The food is amazing here, they are a little expensive but you get a what you pay for here. The egg rolls are a must, so are the honey garlic chicken wings. Sometimes the wait is a little crazy, but the food makes up for it. Very friendly staff and management very good.
Being from NYC we finally found the best Chinese restaurant in Ft Lauderdale! John the owner ( from Bay Ridge,Brooklyn) runs a tip top restaurant...Amazing food, service & atmosphere! Thank You!
Awesome! My friend and I ordered dinner specials with chicken for under $20 each which included pork fried rice and an eggroll. Probably the best eggroll I’ve ever had. Portion size was large, my friend took half of hers home. I, like a gavone, finished mine.. I can’t wait to go back.
Just had another phenomenal meal here! John the owner is a gem, and cares for all his customers! They are moving locations soon, so enjoy them at the old location while you can, and follow them wherever they go. Best best best Chinese food anywhere, and I have been around!!! New location is spectacular! Can the food even be better? Wow, just love Lotus!! Sweet and smiley new wait staff, too!!
I have been coming to Lotus my whole life. Yesterday I visited (since I live in NC now) and the experience was as magical as I remember! The food was phenomenal - you can tell they put so much love in it. The warmth from all of the staff was an experience I won’t soon forget. We had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and were so touched by all the care he puts into both his staff and his food. Highly recommend!
This little gem that was tucked away is absolutely wonderful. First time here( our local Chinese place was closed for vacation until October) so we searched around and came across Lotus. Such great service from our server and even the manager came around and chatted with customers about the food and was simply the nicest guy. It was a treat and now we have 2 favorites right in our neighborhood. The quality of the food was top notch. Highly recommended for dining in or takeout. Don’t miss this place.
From the moment you walk in the experience is so pleasant ! Service is on point! They anticipate your needs before you have a chance to express them. The food is always fresh and delicious!! Great portions and excellent fair prices!!
Everything was amazing! The sesame chicken is white meat and huge pieces so it was incredible. The veggie lo mein was filled with veggies, the noodles were perfect. And the egg rolls are so tasty as well!
We had not been to Lotus Kitchen at the new location. Last night four of us dined there and we were all really impressed. The food was definitely quite tasty - the best Chinese we have found in the Fort Lauderdale area. The owner checked in with us and even offered additional rice of our choice. The appetizers were served hot and seemed to be made with quality ingredients. My Mongolian Beef was off the chart delicious, and I look forward to devouring the leftovers for lunch today as the serving sizes of the entrees are quite generous. We shall return. NOTE: We dined on a Saturday night at 8:15 pm and the dining room was almost full which we see as a good sign! There is ample parking which is appreciated.
What an excellent place to go enjoy some real good tasting Chinese food...it brought me back to NYC stlye Chinese tasting food .John came over an made us feel like family he even gave us a small cup of wanton soup . Very friendly staff and service was great We highly recommended this restaurant.
Hands down BEST Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale. Been getting take out for a while now & finally decided to come in & luckily met the owner - John. He was so friendly & really cares about his customers. He took great care of us. 10/10 recommend coming here!
1st things 1st! Food was absolutely amazing ! It was very flavorful without over powering you… Chinese food has a reputation of being salty and greasy NOT HERE. we had house lo mein, house rice, and sesame chicken, and bam bam shrimp as an appetizer im not sure one was better than the other, they didn’t miss! the owner came over to the table and greeted us, very nice guy and i complimented him on his food as well! i definetly recommend !
Great food great new location. Been going since 1994. Thanks john and family.
The owner came to our table and was just a lovely person. His story of restauranting was intriguing. The food was fresh and great. Just an overall great experience. Stop in.
Great place, Great atmosphere and amazing food. One of the best I ever had, fried rice was really good I didn't even had to put soy sauce because of the Great flavor, pepper steak was super tender and delicious. The only bad thing I can say is that I don't live in Fort Lauderdale to go again other than that amazing. Not sure if it was the owner or manager but a gentleman came to the table and it was a great interaction with him making sure we were pleased with the service and food.
I rarely give five stars but this place truly deserves it. The food is consistently delicious. Portions are generous but the crown jewel is the amazing customer service. We were greeted and sat quickly. Ordered the pork noodle soup. Hot and delicious. For my main I had the spicy eggplant and added shrimp. This too was delicious. I opted for the non spicy since I was sharing it with my dinner companions so I cannot speak to the level of spiciness it would have originally had. Pork fried rice was fresh and hot. We were even visited by the owner/manager who took a sincere interest in our experience. Will definitely return
Enjoyed fabulous atmosphere and spectacular service. Our food was incredible and fresh. Chicken Curry and Egg Foo Young was deliciously prepared! We are looking forward to return visits for General Tso Chicken. My new go to dine in or carry out! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience at Lotus 🪷
Great place to eat! We had Mongolian beef and shrimp with lobster sauce. It comes with either soup or egg roll and choice of rice. We ordered each 1 wonton soup and 1 egg roll. Both were great. Wanton soup broth was really good. The restaurant owner was very kind and friendly and gave us hot and sour soup as well and was also very good (Thanks John for your hospitality!) The main dish was amazing. Mongolian beef was very good and we loved the shrimp with lobster sauce. Two thumbs up. It was the best Chinese restaurant ever!
First time here: Egg drop soup and crispy egg rolls were very good! We also had pork with veggies, it was exactly what it was. Also had Mu Shu Pork with pancakes…so incredibly delicious!!!
I visited this place while on vacation. Met some family members there for dinner and me say the level of customer service we received from the owner was amazing! He personally greeted every guest in the restaurant and asked how their experience was. He made a powerful statement “My goal isn’t just to earn your business one time but for a lifetime time.” That mentality is the reason why he makes sure every customer has a great experience. I visit Fort Lauderdale often and will definitely be back.
My husband and I lived in Brooklyn our entire lives. We used to go to Chinatown in Manhattan for the best Chinese food. The hot & sour soup we had at Lotus was the BEST we've had since 50+ years ago in Chinatown (we told that to John, the wonderfully friendly and personable owner!) It's a MUST for anyone visiting the southern east coast of Florida!!!
We were greeted upon arrival. Brenda, our server was wonderful! The owner John, stops by every table to greet you. And the food…it was excellent!!!! If you want a cool, friendly environment with great food this is your place!
Wife and I recently ordered a take out from Lotus Chinese Kitchen. We ordered the Vegetable fried rice and it was delicious. they use good ingredients from what we could see and taste. The cost is very reasonable and our order was ready very fast. My wife just walked in picked up and payed and right back home it was absolutely the quickest and most tasty option during peak hours for dinner. This restaurant has a great vibe and also very clean and comfortable place to dine
I've dined in and take out. Quality and taste are exceptional on both! Service and staff are professional and friendly! The owner cares about your experience and checks in on the guests. The food is great!! Whenever someone asks for great food, I always recommend Lotus!!!
Wow! By far the best Chinese in town. We’ve been trying to find a Chinese spot in town for years. The food was amazing! The service was great and the own John makes the entire experience unforgettable and very welcoming. We had the house wonton soup, gyoza, rangoons, and two entrees. Everything was honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I wasn’t in the mood for Chinese but I am so happy my boyfriend vetoed my decision and took us here. Highly recommend.
My family and I have been coming to the Lotus for years. John and his staff are amazing and the new location is in a fun spot for browsing around and strolling. One of the last times I was there, I got the pleasure of enjoying a dish they were trying out, it was fried rice with shrimp and pineapple, and of course served in half of a pineapple. Delicious and aesthetically pleasing. 😌 Shout out to Bruno our waiter for the evening of our most recent trip to the Lotus, you were wonderful and attentive to the whole table that was over 10 people. You are a badass, my guy! Worth the trip. The food is good, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the people are great! Lotus, you are the best!
Hands down the best Chinese food in the entire East Fort Lauderdale area the service is amazing the owner is so nice the food is great, the only issue is when you get off work late at night like 7:38 and you want a great dinner on a weekend night you can't go because they close at 9:00 p.m. for a busy City area like East Fort Lauderdale they should at least stay open till 11:00 p.m. like other restaurants and let us get a chance to have that great food when we get off of work and we take our family
This is hands down the best Chinese food in South Florida! The staff is so sweet, Lisa was our server and she was amazing. The owner even came by our table, which made the experience feel extra special. The place is also super clean and really cute. Highly recommend!
The food here is really good with good portions. So far best place in town for Chinese food.
Amazing experience! The food was delicious and fresh. The establishment is modern and clean. The employees are all so sweet and bubbly especially Althea she was an absolute sweetheart! I will be recommending this place!
First of all food is amazing!! Bang bang shrimp app is a must try!! I had the shrimp and mixed vegetables with brown sauce super good!! Lisa was my server she was very nice and attentive! John the owner table touched and checked on us at the end as well super nice guy! Made the experience very welcoming and hospitable. Great experience great food!
Brenda was our waitress last night and did an excellent job. She was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed to have a nice meal. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and I love the new location. I noticed they were doing a lot of take out, as well as serving customers in the dining room.
Came by for the first time—I wasn’t totally in the mood for Chinese but hubby really wanted to try this place. I’m so glad we came because this is easily the best Chinese we’ve has in the two years we’ve lived here. Our search is over—the quality and atmosphere make this place a perfect place. John, the owner, makes sure everyone is happy with their food—super nice. I thing I’ll be craving this place often ☺️
Best Chinese in the area hands down. Authentic ingredients and genuine Chinese taste. They use quality food and fresh ingredients. They do not over over salt and sugar to compensate for poor quality ingredients like other Chinese restaurants do. No MSG added too. Highly recommend if you want good food.
Excellent!!! I’m originally from New York which has some of the best Chinese food you will ever have. When I came here I thought I was back in New York! The Ribs were soooo Good! And the rice is real authentic Chinese fried rice. This place is a must try! Best Chinese food I’ve had in years! And let’s not for get the service! Amazing! Lotus has become one of our favorite restaurants! 😊🤗👍
The staff was very polite and knowledgeable the food was absolutely delicious although all I had was soup and eggrolls it was my first time there, but it was delicious and very reasonably priced.. I went back last night and had the chicken Dinner meal had broccoli, carrots, onions, peppers, and a brown sauce came with brown rice eggroll there was so much food and it was unbelievable the taste the staff. The lady at the front was so nice the best price, And the best taste I have to give an update to the review. I had such a bad experience. there is a new girl working at the front and she is absolutely terrible. She is so bad that I ended up just ordering a soup and an egg roll. I didn’t even order dinner because that’s how bad she was. I probably will not be coming back because I am annoyed. It’s a shame, but unfortunately, when you get a bad taste in your mouth from service, it’s not good
Fantastic food: the orange chicken is out of this World and so is the General Tso chicken my wife had. Our server, Lisa, is the best and nicest server I have seen in quite a while. She treated us like family! The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it to people, like it's, that love good food and service in a great environment. I would give them 10 stars if available!
Went here on a Friday evening with my wife & the food was very tasty. The manager walked through the restaurant to check on the quality of the food. I will definitely come back.
You can never go wrong with Lotus Great food , fast pick up, we loved!!!!
The food is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. A must-try is the Hawaiian fried rice… it’s delicious and served in a hollowed-out pineapple half, which is both fun and flavorful. A solid spot for good food, good service, and a relaxed dine-in experience.
Wow this place is a gem! Tia provided great service! She was super helpful, answered all our questions and was very attentive. The owner, John was gracious, welcoming and took time to say hello to each of us, thanked us for coming and answer questions. The food was fresh and delicious with lots of variety to accommodate our party of four. We all said we’d definitely be back soon. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
I found this restaurant, after months of searching for good quality. Chinese food lately, all you can get are walk-ups and takeouts, and the quality is just not there. When I saw the name Lotus, I jumped all over it. Because I remember 25 years ago when they were in a different location and it was outstanding than so we took a shot and went to have dinner, and it was just outright amazing. Not only is the food great. The service was amazing. The owner is very passionate about his job and his customers. He not only came to our table and we had lengthy conversation, but he made sure he went to every table in a warming way to make sure they enjoyed their meal. And to have a good conversation, that's just the way business should be done everywhere. That people go I feel like good Chinese food and his house wine as quality wine. Please visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed
I just recently stopped by here with my mother and my sister. We've actually been coming to this restaurant but at a different location since we where children. This was our first time stopping at the new location since we are back in town now. The owner actually recognized us, which was so sweet and amazing after all these years. The restaurant is quiant and beautiful, located very conveniently to shops and malls. For our appetizers the owner recommended the Bam Bam Shrimp, and wow it was so tasty. We had to literally stop ourselves from devouring all of it lol. We all had 3 different soups and 4 entrees and everything was cooked to perfection. Even the young lady that was serving us was so sweet and accommodating. We where truly greatful we stopped by again after all these years. I promise you guys will see us soon!❤️
Spent a while looking for a proper sit down restaurant, not a takeaway with seats, in Fort Lauderdale. Came across this establishment which was very welcoming. The owner John could not of been nicer and was very pleasant he advised us about the food and portion sizes amongst other stuff, like Welsh Joe Twigge who I new from years ago eats there, it's a small world after all. The food was nice and reasonably priced and the service was spot on, and John kept checking all was OK, which it was. Its defo on our radar for our next visit, god willing, hope this review helps someone.
As a regular customer who orders from Lotus ~2 times per month, I feel confident in saying that this place is absolutely amazing. The food is consistently good. It’s not too greasy and doesn’t leave you feeling sluggish. The ingredients are high quality and you can tell. The staff is accommodating, considerate, and very good at what they do. We popped in today for a pickup order since they were one of the only open restaurants in the area and they were packkkeddddd. It took about 2 hours from the call to place the order until the food was ready for pickup. The hostess did warn us on the phone that it would be a long wait. Once in the restaurant, you could see that the kitchen was beyond slammed with orders for in-house service as well as takeout and online orders. The hostesses working the register handled the chaos with such grace and compassion - even with frustrated guests chewing them out for the long wait times. Highest of compliments to them and the rest of the staff for hustling through that crazy (all-day) rush. Despite the busy kitchen and long wait, when we got home the food was still fresh, flavorful, and obviously prepared with care. It’s a holiday and the staff is working their butts off to provide meals for their guests and doing a damn good job of it. I love this place and look forward to many more takeout meals from them.
This was the first time we have dined in the new location, there was a bit of a wait time, it was Saturday evening and they were quite busy however, it was clearly worth the wait!! The food was quite delicious, well prepared and presented! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and John, the grandson of the original founder and current owner, was very personable and engaging, greeting all of the guests and checking on them throughout the evening, a quality that seems to have gone by the wayside in many other restaurants we have dined in over the years, and we were happy to see it! Overall, we had a great dining experience and certainly will continue to return as well as recommend to our friends and associates.
This is easily some of the best American Chinese food we’ve had in SoFlo—even from our perspective as Chinese cutomers. They offer a great variety, generous portions, and truly excellent service. What sets it apart is the owner; he greets every customer with genuine warmth and sincerity. Talking to him feels like catching up with an old friend.

No mustard given at first , stale noodles first time with a black one inside the bowl, the meat was ok a little undercooked, rice was ok I was little disappointed, usually it’s very good

8/1/23-Yum, went early around 4:00ish and it was busy. Owner came over introduced himself. Check to see if we were happy. Very nice touch. Very large portions. I had the Mongolian beef combo . Soup or egg roll. I went w/soup, but did order the egg roll too. G had the general Tao chicken. Large tender pieces of chicken. All good
We ordered takeout for a group of 7 adults - so we had a large variety within our order. Food seemed to be good quality - the chicken dishes had hearty chunks of chicken which was great. The Mongolian beef had quite a bit of flavor. We did all agree that the chicken dishes - general tsoas and cashew chicken - needed some more flavor. They had a great amount of sauce but lacked some deeper flavor to their dishes. The folks at the restaurant were great - pleasant, service oriented, friendly. We ordered ahead and asked for the food to be ready at a specific time and it was ready when we got there and piping hot.
Coming from the northeast this is the best spot in Fort Lauderdale. This reminds me of a place that would be in Chinatown in Philadelphia. It’s your typical neighborhood traditional Chinese restaurant. It’s delicious! The portions are a little smaller than a corner store type place but the flavor and usual suspects are all on the menu. My favorite is the steamed dumplings and the won ton soup. I’ve also enjoyed their sesame chicken and my husband has enjoyed a few different beef dishes.
Some of the best Chinese food in the area. I won't make a special trip from Boca, but I'll be back when I'm in the area. Egg rolls and General Tso were really good, as was the broccoli in other dishes. Basic table serve atmosphere. Since this initial review, I've been back several times. It's not a fancy place, and it's not a cheap carry out kind of place. What it is - good food, a wonderful staff, and a simple and comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy.

Place is clean and staff is friendly. Food is decent but I wouldn’t say the best Chinese food around. It is a little pricy. I would go back but only if I’m in the area.
This location replaces their restaurant that was located on 26th St. I always enjoyed the food at their previous location and this is no different. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly and efficient. Everything on the menu seems to be good. I regularly order my favorite of Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. I prefer the brown sauce that's made up in the northeast(Massachusetts), but I have gotten used to the semi clear version that's served in this region just as much. Their lemon chicken is great and they have killer wings. I usually go with a group and we sample each other's dishes. None of us is ever disappointed. Sometimes I wish my stomach could accommodate more food, but we all have our limits. The atmosphere is nice, but the place is small. It's more of a "quick" place to eat a full service meal. You're in and you're out. It's not a place for romantic dinners 😂 or long chats. It's not like going to PF Chang's. The two are totally different in atmosphere although the food at Lotus is just as good. The friendly owner, who I believe to be the son of the original founders, makes his rounds and always says hello. He sees after every detail. He ran the previous location after graduating from college. They work really hard here and very efficiently... The prep area is open to view and a bit tight, but they make the most of every inch and there's never a wait for your food. The food is ALWAYS piping hot. I would say that the prep area is carefully organized and choreographed chaos. Everyone works as a team and that's what makes such a small space work so well. The only two issues I have are very small and may actually be a GOOD thing. ONE: The place is simply too small. I think they may have outgrown it due to their ever increasing popularity. It's a great location, however, I think the square footage is less than their previous location, but I could be wrong. SECOND: While the restaurant is always impeccably clean, due to space limitations, I have noticed that they commonly keep some supplies out in plain sight. The clutter is organized, but unattractive, especially given that the space is so tastefully decorated. I'm not sure if other, more attractive storage solutions exist. I think they may simply have run out of space. Again, those are just minor issues at present. Wait times for tables have been fairly short at the times I have been there, but then I don't really know what their peak hours are and I am pretty sure my visits have been off peak. Unfortunately, they are not open until later in the afternoon on Sundays (4:30?), so despite the fact that my church is in very easy walking distance (across the street from the back of the plaza), they are not open for lunchtime on Sundays. It pains me to no end when I'm in the mood for Chinese food. For good Chinese food at reasonable prices, this is a great place to go. It's quick and easy. They are located in a business/shopping plaza that has ample parking. The restaurant is easy to find and is clearly visible from Federal Highway. They have a website, so check them out online.
Nice decent clean Chinese restaurant with an open kitchen serving up so old American Chinese dishes. 5/5 $19.00 Lunch Pork Egg Foo Young was really freshly made, thoroughly enjoyed it. 4/5 $15.00 Stir fried string beans was good, fresh as well. Service was just ok...not looking for Michelin service, but waitress was just blahhhhhh. Didn't see as if she loved her job. Unfortunately.

I ate at Lotus Chinese Kitchen when it was in Wilton Manor and I did not care for it. My friend ate their new location and said the food was amazing so I had to try it. The food is definitely better than their old location but it’s nothing to write home about. I had the orange beef that was tender but too clogging sweet. The fried rice is plan bad. I would not order that again. The egg roll was just okay.
Lotus is a Chinese American restaurant that has been in business since 1975. It originally opened in Wilton Manors and reopened in 2022 at its new location. This was my first visit; it was a mixed bag. My favorite dish was the Singapore Mei Fun, a classic Cantonese dish they executed very well. I thought the kitchen had a hefty hand with the MSG and/or salt (especially the wonton and the egg drop). Wontons were doughy. The hot and sour lacked heat but had vinegar; you'd be better off spiking it at the table or bringing it home for takeout and hitting it with chile crisp and white pepper. The other fried dishes, such as orange chicken (White meat) and bang bang shrimp, were coated with a particularly gloppy cornstarch-thickened sauce and were overly sweet. I liked the Mongolian beef (although I think a black bean sauce or oyster sauce would be better). The fried rice was okay; it was undoubtedly adequately seasoned and had wok hey but was very “basic.” The soy sauce was very light, and I would have liked the use of dark soy and more pork and more scallion and also bean sprouts. If you ordered the genuine Cantonese things as opposed to the American style, you would be much better off; the owner told me he could prepare them, so the next time I go here, I'm going that route instead.

It was my first time coming to eat at this restaurant even though I live close by. Even though Manager/owner provided us with a free wonton soup and we greatly appreciated it. The service provided by the waitress was not good. The attentions to our table and other tables next to us were the same. The food presentation on our plates wasn’t very nice. Never came back to check if everything was okay, pickup empty plates or check if we needed anything else. Finished eating and table was still full and waited for a while to get our bill and finally it was dropped on the side and walked away. Wanted to express my experience to owner/manager but was still busy talking to other tables and didn’t want to interrupt.
Stopped there today for lunch. The food was fine but I think it was way overpriced. They never even brought hot tea or noodles to the table like they used to at their old location. When I asked the waitress she said they only do that for dinner. Definitely won't be going back.

Most absolutely mid Chinese food of my life, complete waste of money, why is the chicken rubbery? Not even mid. At least the service was good. Never going back. The search for a good Chinese place down here continues.
I was hesitant to give this Chinese a try and regretfully did! Entire food was dead in taste and spirit!! Ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and tasted like they boiled shrimps and dumped it in their egg soup mix, sauteed string beans that was limp and drenched in the sauce, yang fried rice with dry rice and wonton that tasted like warm water with soy drops in it and wonton meat that might as well not been in it lacking so much taste!! This permanently ends my gig with this resta! The best experience was the Uner delivery!!
Our server, Bruno, was amazing. He was very attentive. The manager/owner came around a couple of times to check on all the guests. The customer service was great. The food.... not so much. *Fried dumplings had a good filling but we're quite doughy * egg drop soup: very yellow and thick * general tso chicken was good. Only had 5-6 pieces but they were very large prices (like the size of a small fist) * sesame chicken was a bit bland. The flavor was okay, but just wasn't quite enough to tell it was sesame * the shrimp with lobster sauce: between 3 of us we ate exactly 3 bites. It lacjed flavor, had a weird texture and clumped in your throat. * sesame chicken I want to rate it high be cause the service was good. But... just don't order the shrimp in lobster sauce
Have no clue how this place has 300+ 5 star reviews. Food is your typical take-out gross food. Egg drop is slime, beef fried rice is mystery meat, and general tso are HUGE chunks white meat, half decent at best, but weird to have 6 big pieces in the whole dish. They default to pork fried rice, NOT white rice, and sucked too. Pork Dumplings meh... This place is making up reviews somehow. If you can get a $7 lunch special, and craving that heavy chinese flavor, go for it. For that, it MIGHT hit the spot.
The food is mediocre at best but the staff seem nice. My pork fried rice was undercooked and crunchy , my wonton soup came out luke warm and my chicken lo mein was just meh, no flavor at all. I asked if they had hot sauce or Saracha and all they have is some oil based sauce with pepper flakes in it and it turned my stomach . Had to immediatly go to the bathroom and release the toxins as soon as I got home if you catch my drift .

They have a very slick business practice. My order was take out. I showed up. They took my Cc immediately and then when I asked for my order., they told me it was another 15 minutes. They should not take my money until my order is ready. Now you are stuck! What a trick!
I recently had what was easily the worst Chinese food on the planet. I’m betting there are 1 billion Chinese people who would agree with me. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. I received a plate of dry heavily battered deep fried chicken nuggets, dry sticky white rice and an orange sauce which was probably intended as sweet and sour. I could dip chicken nuggets in sweet and sour sauce at McDonalds and it would be far better. I will never again return to this truly awful fast food junk Chinese restaurant. The Lotus should be renamed the Inedible.
I am so disappointed in this restaurant they used to have reasonable prices now just recently they just raised their prices again and again and again. Now they charge $25.00 for walnut chicken which is just chicken and broccoli with white rice. I can go to longhorn steakhouse and get a steak and baked potato and a big salad and a loaf of bread for $19.99. Like I said what a disappointment. The prices are too high now and not worth it. Not paying $25.00 for chicken and broccoli. What a rip off.
Food has changed and it’s AWFUL. This place used to be my go to Chinese place in Wilton Manors but NOT any more. I ordered here tonight with a friend in town from the UK and such a disappointment. the General Tso chicken which was huge pieces of chicken in a soggy batter and the sauce was not good it used to be bite size chicken in a great sauce and we also got the sweet and sour chicken which was over cooked dry pieces of chicken and very dry no flavor fried rice. the dumplings were good but the ginger sauce just tasted of vinegar as well as the home made duck sauce just a vinegar taste. So just wasted 50 dollars on the grossest Chinese food ever. I will never go back after how awful this food was.
Worst customer service I’ve experienced! Don’t order anything from them online!! I was charged and never received my order. The restaurant has not offered to help in any way. Stay clear of this place!!
Food might be good when u eat in the restaurant but when I orders door dash delivery beef with string beans all I got was a container filled with green beans and 3 little piece meat and the 3 piece of meat besides the half pound of beans was rubbery . I try to get a refund but was denied one. Very disappointed paying 22 dollar for green beans where I still search for the meat . Soooo disappointing
After the ratings for the best Chinese takeout at the local newspaper, the sun, Sentinel, were published, we were surprised that this place got the second position in Broward County, right after Hong Kong city BBQ. We decided to give it a try dining in. We ordered a glass of wine that was in the category of undrinkable. The soup, hot and sour was very liquidy and with very little tofu, egg and bamboo shots. A fried rice had a complete lack of taste, probably because of the absence of MSG. My chicken dish was very gamy . Price average, not a very attractive atmosphere, a lot of takeout. This experience reinforces my theory that in Broward County there is a widespread absence of taste buds. It is mind-boggling that this place was selected as the second best takeout in the county. I ate the food because I was hungry, I will never come back.
Ordered form uber eats. Order was promptly delivered. I was shocked how terrible my lunch was. I thought this restaurant had a great reputation and It’s so expensive!! I ordered the General Tso. Just gross. So sickening and sweet. Nothing spicy about it, just sugar deluxe. The chicken was so dry and chewy. It honestly tasted like horrible rank candy. It’s in my trash can. Waste of money!
