Excellent service. You are never left standing at the counter without someone waiting on you. You are met as you walk into the door with a welcome. The place is always clean. The food is cooked just right. Never burned or undercooked. Prices are reasonable. The manager is always pleasant. The tea is soooo good. They know how to make sweet tea.

Lunch staff on Sunday is awesome ! Lonnie and Dianais made my day ! There was another girl working the front with a beautiful smile and I forget her name. Eveyone was in a good mood. Great job ! And great services!

Golden Chick might be my favorite fast food chicken place. I love the family pack, we can get some tenders, regular or spicy, Love, Love the roasted chicken. And what about those rolls. The staff at this location is very helpful and friendly. I have found the food consistent between locations. service not so much but again this locations first rate.

This is probably the best chicken that I've ever eaten from a so-called fast food restaurant. Doesn't matter what type you get. You're going to love it. Their jalapeno poppers are amazing, catfish, chicken tenders, but especially the roasted chicken. You can't go wrong here. The fresh rolls here remind me of my mom's fresh baked rolls she made every thanksgiving. I would love to have this place back home.

I was so impressed by Ricky (the manger). My order was via the drive thru. I had been impressed by their new spicy chicken sandwich from another location in dallas area that i had to get sandwich again for my husband. My only strong recommendation...add some extra pickles and it is AMAZING! Definitely will be back.

I have been coming here for years, along with my family and extended family, and they are always very friendly here. They have never gotten my order wrong, everything has always been perfectly cooked, I've never even had a messed up drink from here. The family favorite is the rolls as those are always perfectly done and, you know, just something about a nice friendly warm yeast roll. Would definitely recommend and will definitely keep coming back here.

I absolutely love love the taste of their chicken! They're quick and efficient! The corn nuggets are yum yum and so is the fried okra! This was last night and I was super impressed.. also they give you a side of gravy as well as a spicy red powder you can put on your chicken which is super hot! My family and I have been here multiple times and have never had any issues at all. Many times, Lonnie, the manager, is there and he's not just asking how you're doing like a customer service robot....he actually seems to genuinely care and will engage in other conversations (like about golf or Star Wars) as a friend would. Super nice service from him every time and the food is always right on. We live less than half a mile from Buschs Chicken but will drive the extra 3 or 4 miles to go to Golden Chick. Even if Chicken Express, Church's, Popeyes or other chicken place is closer, we'd still choose this location, quality and consistency of chicken and service. Thanks, Lonnie, for making the Golden Chick brand more than just about chicken! See ya soon!

I think it was the manager at the drive thru today and he couldn’t have been more nice. I don’t eat here often, but definitely will come back because of that experience. Having worked in customer service it can be difficult at times, but keeping a good composure and being professional speaks volumes to customers.

The best fried fish i ever had. Everything so good here. Friendly staff and also quick. They forgot my to add something to my order once, but they fixed it when I called. The triple tender chicken sandwich with Xing sauce is a must try. The golden chicken roast is unique. If you want something on the hotter side try their Nashville chicken sandwich. I am a repeat customer, their quality has remained the same over the last 1 year. Will keep visiting.

Golden Chick has been consistent over the years for both their fried and baked chicken. It is fast food quality, but the kids really like it. Their tenders are great and the fried okra is always a hit with the older kids in the household. Their meal deals are usually a good price.

Now that chicken express is closed, I've had to find a new chicory place that wasn't Popeyes (yuck) or KFC. They serve pretty darn good chicken AND okra!

The food is always fresh n hot and staff is always friendly 5 star for that! The star removal is because the last hmm 6 visits I never receive eating utensils or napkins. Yes I should have ask at the window well I forgot but I shouldn't have to. Please start adding these items!! Other than that yall are doing great!

Rolls were hard like they sat under the warmer fire a while. Waited for fresh corn nuggets. Only 3 were fresh out if the large order. Rest were cold and hard like the rolls.

It seems that the pandemic has made things difficult for this location, but they are trying to do their best. The food always comes out hot and fresh. The tea tastes fresh brewed as well. Sometimes the service is slow and awkward. The other day I got a sandwich and fries and they just tossed the fries in the bag loose. They were hot and crispy, but all over the place 🤣

Not the best, but pretty good. I am much happier now that the dining room is back open. I used to drive a van with antennas on top, so not a fan of drive through's. The food generally gets along with me. The people are always friendly and helpful.

WELP, Here's The Deal on Golden Chick! I've been a fan of Golden Chick since I was a kid. Back when a real deal cost less than 5 dollars. Even with the price increases, I still find myself in this drive-through at least once a week. Other than the outside of the building, badly needing a good pressure washing, everything about the Hutto Golden Chick, in my opinion, lives up to its name "GOLDEN"

I had a bad experience, but the owner was quick to resolve it! Ordered a family meal online before 9 pm to “skip the line”. Was given a 9:41 pm pickup time. Arrived at 9:30 and the drive through was the only access. Reached the window at 10:05 to be told they didn’t have enough food to complete my order. Said the might have been able to fill it at 9:40. When I told them I was in line since 9:30, and asked what alternatives were available, I was offered to come back tomorrow and get my order free (since I’d already paid for it)! Ridiculous process followed by rotten service. They need to fix this process or close online orders! Update: One week has passed and the charge on my credit card has not been refunded as indicated by the attendant at the drive through. The Franchise office has responded to this review and I have submitted my complaint as requested. I will further update my review based on the customer service from the franchise office. The owner of this Golden Chick reached out to me and sent me a refund very quickly and promised to go over the online order process and customer service with the manager. He stated they should have not been able to run out before filling the order and he’d review the process. The food is consistently good and the owner was quick to fix things so they deserve another chance.

I've been to this place quite a few times over the years. Food has been consistently good. On occasion, there's been a middle-aged woman working the drive-thru window who isn't the friendliest person, but most everyone has been alright. I don't consider myself cheap, but I feel like the prices for fried chicken or chicken tenders is getting a pretty ridiculous.

I don't go to Golden Chick that often but I went today 2/17 and Gia an employee there was awesome. She patiently waited for me to decide what I wanted to order in the drive thru. She gave me different options of what I could order. She is very knowledgeable. She is a great asset to your restaurant. People like her are what keeps your customers coming back.

I love Golden Chick but, the last few times I've gone the bun is hard and crumbling it's like they leave it out in the air and it gets stale!! I only get a 30 min. lunch so it's hard to check it before I get back to the office....on a side note the "Sweet Tea" is amazing for this Texas heat and the staff is always so friendly!!!

First time for us. Drive thru girl was not very receptive...got home and the order was partly wrong and partly missing. Went back for the missing part. Inside it appeared that most people in the kitchen we not wearing gloves, one person that was, was drinking off of her cup and then returning to work... Without changing her gloves. The manager seemed nice enough, he made my missing food and off I went. Will update on second try.

I ordered online and I had to wait in the drive through line to get my food there is not mobile order parking so after waiting 15 min to go get the food I had to wait another 15 when I got there and they almost closed on me I called to make sure they knew I was there in line and had been waiting. So maybe that’s more the app then the restaurant. I got my food the spicy was all most too spicy but friendly service. I think like everyone else their short handed

It was mid to be honest Last time I actually consistently ate at this Golden Chick was like 5 years ago because I live in Florida now (ah the beloved nostalgia that hit me when i ate here); I ate here today since I'm visiting Texas. The place itself is clean and I'm pretty sure it was renovated but the food omg that chicken had way less flavor than i remember. also I think they changed the green beans recipe and they aren't nearly as good as they were back then. Also the staff was friendly though :D It's not bad though, nor is it super good, I would eat here if you just needed something to sort of satisfy you.

This is the 3rd time I specifically order SPICY chicken and get regular. No attention to detail sometimes. I also got told that they've never sold Arnold Palmers. I've been living in Hutto for 13 years and a 6 piece with an Arnold Palmer has been my order since i was in highschool. Other than that this location is great. Customer service is great and they're always willing to go the extra mile if they ever mess up your order. I just wish they'd be more consistent.

04/22/24 great food service was alright but home girl that works there in the leggings today around 7 that just got there she was wearing leggings that I could see right through and saw her skin and red panties there are children there I didn’t get her name I’m debating calling. Hope she gets new pants !

I used to really enjoy going there, but they've dramatically raised their prices, $3 to $4 on certain items. The one in downtown Round Rock is more generous with their chicken than the Hutto location. I really like their French fries, they're so good!

This is my local GC. The food is always good and the place is clean with good staff. But the employee that owns the gray Mazda that parks in the ONE handicap spot is effectively making it difficult for my elderly mother to get in and out of the building. This car has been parked in this spot the past several visits. Please consider taking a different spot since your probably on your feet all shift anyway.

I love coming to the golden chick in Hutto because of the afternoon manager. She always welcomes and makes it feel like home. Food is always prepared well. However I noticed that while she is working hard there are many team workers that are on their phone or yelling near the drive thru window. I believe one of the workers name is Diannis. It makes me appreciate the manager work even more for taking care of absolutely every order from the drive thru to the counter to all mobile orders.

I haven't been to this Golden Chick in Hutto in a long time and today I remember why... These were my tenders I got. I ordered the 4 pc with a side and ordered the family side of Cajun Dirty Rice. It's a good I ordered the rice because the tenders were finger size, and I have big fingers. They were gracious enough to throw in one extra to make up for it but when all are that size it was not a good enough gesture. Not for having spent $20.00.

I love their Okra. And their fries are better than competing local chicken places. But this is my third time in a row to get home and find out I'm missing half my order. This trip was mashed potato and Okra sides missing. And the food was luke warm at best, which is a new issue. 3 strikes and I start looking elsewhere unfortunately.

the chicken sandwich was dry and cold. I didn't enjoy my meal at all. But the chicken tenders with the gravy is good. I recommend the tenders over everything there. There was also a weird brown stain on my drink. Always check your food before you leave the place.

Used to be better back in 2003-2004. Food had no flavor, cold chicken, overpriced. Chicken Express or Bill Millers are better options if you want fried chicken

Only positive was that the food was hot and fresh. I won't go into full detail, so long story short Golden Chick gets your drive thru systems fixed so your employees can remember when they tell someone "Can you hold please". Dude cleared out a line of 3 cars and had I not said anything prior to pulling forward to check I would probably still be waiting to order.

I don't know what happened but I think the manager changed and everything got worse. I used to go here almost every day as an athlete and get the same sandwich but these last few times I haven't seen the nice lady taking orders or the cool manager, and they got rid of the free ice cream for dine in guests. The bread has slowly gotten harder and the chicken less crispy and soft to more hard and chewy. It's changed for the worse and having been active here for over 2 years I'm just dissapointed.

I am a chicken connoisseur. I love chicken every way to prepare it and I have to be honest this chicken was not very tasty. It wasn't flavored properly. R they just have a bad recipe. I don't know what it is but I did not care for this chicken. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was good. They don't serve actually all "tenders", I can tell they just cut up other part of the breast meat up and they are getting smaller and smaller. 4 out of 5 times my orders were wrong. I understand giving wrong items but you can't forget my gravy and sub out with some old mushy rice.

It’s our hometown staple. However I’ve noticed a steady and consistent decline in quality which has frustrated me to the point of writing this review. Whether it’s the underwhelming size of the already pricey fish fillets or the now consistently colorless, UNDERCOOKED and LIMP French fries which are often cold when ordering the family tender dinner requiring we place them in the air fryer upon making it home which causes us to have to eat our meal in potions if anyone decides to eat the French fries at all that is. DISAPPOINTED (Repeatedly)!

This place has been consistently horribly managed and disorganized to the point of extreme irritation. My order was a 6-piece with fries and a 4 piece with fries. At 7:15. They seemed unable to adequately plan for the rolls. 42 minutes to get my order. Family pack orders placed after mine with 4-5 rolls served before me. Ridiculous! Sadly this has happened multiple times at this location. Manager just works the drive-thru window with no accountability and has no clue how to maintain a functioning system or restaurant. He allows his front line employees to take the rants of furious customers and says nothing.

Yesterday I was in this restaurant and ordered for me and my son, and the bill was somewhat expensive, but we wanted to enjoy the weekend, but we were shocked by the taste I ordered big & wicked combo and my son ordered 2 pieces chicken like kFC The meal for me was so salty that it was as if I only ate salt. I can’t eat my sandwich so I talk with the manager I think there I just told he it is too salty I did not ask her to return my money or give me a replacement, but all restaurants ask the customer because the customer is always right for the success of any company if you want to return the money or exchange it, but the surprise is that . She told me that you asked for this sandwich, as it is spicy and salty. And she said next time order another one 😂Other than this request and the meal my son could not eat, I also paid the money for the garbage and i never ever go to this restaurant agin

Today is the second time I seen this elder Hispanic lady on her phone with customers waiting to order. The associate looks at us and continue with her phone. After 4 minutes she closes her phone case and ask the gentleman how can I help you. Then when I order she repeats my order back incorrectly. It literally took me to get another lady helping the drive thru to help with my order. The lady behind me was about to order the associate opens her phone up again. The lady told her she needed to order her meal. I’m like wow if I would’ve known this I would have brought my phone in to take pictures. She really needs to talked too about that phone. Because of her customer service if I could it would -2.

I will definitely not be coming here anymore. After I payed for my order the host Silvya was rude af and she threw my receipt at me and rolled her eyes. I wanted to call the manager to the front but it was not worth my time. If you don't like your job find another one. I would rather drive to another location then come here.

On September 22 at or around 5:37pm I came through the drive thru and ordered food. When I asked for a receipt the young lady said it will be in the bag with a condescending tone. When I expressed to her that I would like the receipt she closed the window! Then began to talk about me to her fellow co-workers which looked at me through the drive through window and started laughing! I have been here numerous of times and never experienced this type of service or disrespect! I don’t know if it is a manager or ownership problem but you lost a customer today!

Third time in two weeks they have gotten my order wrong. Simple three piece all thighs with extra roll as my side and ex-large fruit punch drink. I been going there for over 8 years now. Service is going down lately.

Patty, has numerous times have given me bad food telling me it’s fresh. I spend lots of money at this location it’s just tiring that I can’t get what I ask for yet I pay over 15.00 every time I go and also gets lots of family meals. This time (that’s happened mulitiple times) told me My fish is fresh, yet it’s grey in the middle and far from fresh. This is a recurring thing when it shouldn’t be.

This place is extremely rude. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes with all the workers just staring at us our food was wrong and cold. When we told them that we ordered spicy tenders and they were regular the manager tossed 3 packets of zing powder and said “there make it spicy.” I am extremely disappointed with the service and food served by this place if i could give zero stars I would.

Want consistent disappointment? This is the place. This place needs some serious training. Every time I get anything from here SOMETHING is ALWAYS MISSING. This is the worst Golden Chick ever. I decided to give them another chance. Im new to this side of Hutto and was excited because there's a Golden Chick here. I thought it would be good like the one in Pville. NOT‼️ the first time I tried the one in Hutto, I ordered the dirty rice and it was SUPER greasy, the second time (today) I ordered dirty rice and it was over cooked, so the rice was mushy. The tenders were cold and the gravy was thick thick, the roll was hard and dry. That's it im done! Don't waste your time or money. This is a warning....you will be upset 🤞🏾I should've pulled up to KFC.

I work late so most of the time by the time I get there its drive through only. I get my food and park. Normally I don't have any issues. This is the last visit I will be making to this store. The so called manager silvia is so rude. I ordered got to the window (it was opened) and silvia was yelling in Spanish at another employee very loudly. She was calling him stupid white boy you need to clean the oven and take the trash.By the boys reaction you could tell he didn't understand anything she was saying. He just shook his head yes and continued on. How can a manger talk to someone like that? Even if he didn't understand what she was saying. I got my food and parked I was watching them close the store as I ate my dinner. I saw 2 people working and 3 people on their phones standing around. And Silvia she was standing in the lobby watching TV and talking a phone call. I watched a girl take several large bags of food out to her car. By this time silvia had disappeared in the back and I was done with my food. I should say I have seen on several occasions food being taken out and put in this same car but different employees putting It in there. (I come here alot). The staff is normally on thier phones except 1 or 2 that are cleaning. I will say one employee that is always friendly is Lonnie. He should be in charge not Silvia. She should take some management classes to learn how to talk to employees.

No napkins or utensils, had to go back inside several times to get it corrected. Then the manager proceeds to blame his staff for messing up, when he was working the drive thru. Maybe instead of talking to customers about absolutely noting in the drive thru, maybe...just maybe...CHECK THE FOOD ORDER BEFORE YOU SEND IT OUT! Will never go back to this horrible establishment, I'll drive to the Round Rock location where they can at least cook tools right & not mess the whole order up

I always go here at least twice per week, to have a 3 piece golden roast, and to polish it off with a nice free ice cream cone. But they have now taken away their ice cream. Not a cool thing to do, honestly. A lot of people spend money so they can have a little sweet something after the meal. I can't go back here, for their spitefulness. Wrong.

Terrible food, terrible service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I got sick here, and was in bed for a week. I took it up with management and eventually got to the top, and talked to Corey Bush. He told me he took it up with his lawyer and said his lawyer advised him that I wouldn't win in court if I sued, so he said to have a nice day and ended it. No refund, no offer of a free meal, no compensation of any kind. Next time, I'm calling an ambulance, staying in the hospital, and then he'll have to pay... but I'm never returning to ANY of their locations. Popeyes is my new favorite chicken place. Garbage business. Stay far away.
