What your about to read is a true story....Its Friday late night, I walk into this Dennys because I have a 3 hour drive and was falling asleep. Anyway, Eric Johnson greets me right away and let me choose where I sat, so I sat at the breakfast bar in the front, I was only ordering coffee and an apple crisp. A quick look around I see a few tables sat, and other tables leaving as I walked In. Nothing abnormal, and doesnt look busy at all for how dennys is usually staffed, so cool Eric came back with my coffee and asked me to hold on for a couple minutes before he takes my order...unusual, but ok. I see him go and take payments from other customers at the front and greets others as they come In, also asking them to hold on for a couple minutes. It doesn't take long to notice that he is the only server working tonight, sad but true we've all seen that before and some of us have even been that person. So yeah, im gunna cut this guy a little slack, this is already a tough enough job as it is than to be forced to run the front of a sit down 24hr restaurant by yourself late-night on a Friday. So Eric comes and pleasantly takes my order and walks away. Anyone would notice that he was clearly in a state of high concentration and focus. OK, here's where I get blown away. ERIC puts all the orders through to the kitchen and then I saw him go around the wall and on the cooks line and started pulling tickets and hanging them just before he starts putting food on the grill and dropping fries and so on....I looked around again to figure out that he is the only one working the entire restaurant, no kitchen staff, no manager not even a dishwasher, nobody!! I worked and managed in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and never saw this happen. HERE'S THE THING, Eric didnt complain, didnt talk negatively about other staff not showing, he didnt seem upset or overwhelmed, he didnt even tell any customers that he was doing this all by himself. He just did his job, and then he took turns doing everyone else's job too. And this man is seeing it through, I sat here for a while just to watch because I am so impressed, not only with the focus and capability of this man but also with the way he handled it and his super focused "get it done" attitude that he shared with no one. He wasnt looking for praise, or an at-a-boy or sympathy or pity, and he's not trying to impress anyone. He came to me a few minutes go, because im the last one here and asked if i needed anything else and if he could go ahead and cash me out because he had some work to do in the back, of course no problem so I paid my tab then sat down to finish my coffee for a minute. I asked for his name so i can write this short story about him and As i just walked out the door I could hear Eric in the back rinsing and running dishes through the dishwasher. The man didnt even sit down to take a 5 minute break after all that. Now hes not an old man. But no spring chicken either. I think, no I know that I would not have handled that situation will at all. So im taking something away from this and learning from what he showed me tonight. If i didnt tell about this, I think no one would've ever known about Eric Johnson taking us all to school for a night and reminding me how easily we all will find negativity to move forward with and showed what it looks like to just be human...he easy we forget. If only we could all be a little more like Eric. Corporate Dennys, I hope you find an equivalent response to Eric's loyalty and make an example out of his ways. Make think man feel special, he deserves a game changer and make it go viral, I've met no one that deserves it more than this man Eric Johnson, who I've never met before. Best wishes Eric, go change the world one person at a time. ERIC FOR PRESIDENT!

I can't make pancakes. I'm old and have tried many times. Whoever was on the grill today, 1/30:26, thank you. The pancakes were delicious. ~ Miss Andi I doordashed so I can't review the physical location.

Exceptional service. Greeted by several employees with a smile and good morning when we walked in. Staff are warm, friendly, and very attentive. Anyone who wasn’t serving us was cleaning, stocking, or cooking. Restaurant was very clean and comfortable to dine in. Worth the stop!

Customer service was exceptional and it was one waitress who was handling everything by herself and doing great at her job! Food was delicious and coffee was yummy too. Definitely Will be returning.

Finally a great diner. Aside from the prices. Food was well made and came out hot. The waitresses are exactly what I expect when going out to eat; fast, checking in on their customers and making it a great experience. I forgot our waitress name, but she was extremely friendly and her smile lit up the room. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness.

So Dee Dee was our waitress and she is amazing! The definition of southern hospitality... and not in a fake (i have to be nice) kind of way, shes very genuine and made our experience quite pleasant! Will definitely be staying at this truck stop again for sure.
