We were passing through and wanted to grab some food. We were all pleasantly surprised with this place. Great environment, great food! 2 people got burgers, one person got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and I got the brisket nachos. All the portions were big and everyone really enjoyed their meals. I would eat those nachos again in a heartbeat. So good!!

Came for breakfast and wanted to try the lunch restaurant, and the brisket tacos were one of the best I’ve had in the area and even better than some Dallas ones. Small-town vibes, and the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff super friendly. Mango margarita was good, and the prices are decent for the amount of food.

Second visit....OMG the bbq fajitas were so good! Loved it. Food was great, excellent portion sizes, and the service was super friendly. Definitely worth the drive!

On a short road trip we chose this as a lunch spot, having never been. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our visit here. Decor- 10/10. Clean, open, kind of railroad themed- very well done. Would make a great event space Food- we only has brisket nachos but they were excellent. Plenty for 2 people to share. Service- our server was Pepper. She id an excellent job. We saw plenty of menu items we would love to try on our next visit. Highly recommend- 12/10.

Stopped in for breakfast and got lots of smiles, too!! Super happy, friendly waitress in the morning, so that makes for a great start of the day!! The home fries are by far the best I've ever had!!! Can't wait to visit family again in TX cuz we'll be comin' back for more!! Fresh squeezed OJ, breakfast margaritas and a big fluffy warm biscuit with butter and apple butter on top....can you say deliciousness!!!

Went again this morning and it was fabulous. Pancakes, biscuits, eggs, sausage and chicken pot pie were served at our seats, all of which were excellent. If you're in Fort Worth, it's well worth the drive

Excellent restaurant with owners who really care about the customers and food they love themselves. You can really tell they put their hearts into the menu and attention to detail of the layout. Very impressed. If you're ever in Joshua this is a must see.

SUPERB RESTAURANT This place has really fresh food. Everything is made fresh to order, so dont expect fast food. The hand battered chicken fried steak is excellent, nice thick crust and wonderful gravy. The smoked meatloaf is served with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce it is really amazing. Their seasonal veggies are always great. The hand cut fries are the best I've ever had. Try their loaded fries, you wont be disappointed. Believe me when I say, it is worth the time to drive here and well worth the money. Staff is super friendly and even the cook will come out on occasion to ask guests if they like their food. That means he really cares about each plate being served. They also have a great bar menu. Happy hour is really good and they serve some unique and different drinks. We have been so pleased with Hickory Tree- Joshua, that it's our new FAVORITE restaurant within 30 miles.

BNSF safety surveys claim their engineers lose total visibility for .27 seconds as the train they're conducting cruises behind this brick brisket & brunch bordello. Vibes are immaculate here, cuh. Bottle and draught options far out pace the other local eateries brewski offerings. That's probably the nicest way I can say downtown Joshua doesn't deserve a place this drippy. Food review... Smoked Meatloaf: Conway Twitty ate a plate of this meatloaf after writing Tight Fittin' Jeans. HT Loaded Potato: (4.4/5) Spuds not duds is tattooed on my mothers upper left bosom for a reason. We were raised on baked taters. So when I say if you feed one of these to your son for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next 18 years it will make him a #1 draft pick in the NFL you can bet I'm telling the gods honest truth. Basque Cheesecake: *inaudible grunting noises* it's tough to explain how someone can successfully take cheesecake up a few notches but the homies at Hickory Tree have found a way. I'd serve this at the Easter Bunnys or Aqua Mans funeral and fully expect life to go on without them. Is it out of your way? Probably. Is it insane brisket that's not INSANELY priced brisket in 2026? Yes. Try this place!

I got the biscuit and gravy and my mom got the hungry man breakfast. It was good however I was expecting sausage bits and the gravy was only sausage flavored. We will definitely be back to try out their dinner. Good customer service and no wait to be seated.

I don’t care for breakfast items, I ordered a chicken fried steak with the gravy on the side. They charged 2.50 for a side of gravy. I thought all cfs comes with gravy. Well, don’t order it on the side.

Worst Breakfast! Got an omelette with Biscuits and sausage gravy… the gravy had bbq pulled pork in it.. totally disgusting, couldn’t eat. The potatoes had no flavor, the omelette had tons of sausage but little cheese and to top it off I got diarrhea… I will never eat there again!! The servers were very nice though… And perhaps the cook was having a very OFF day… as there are lots of good reviews…
