Great food fills you up fast and is a great place for family. They have Chinese Cajun and American. You can ask how to get a cone even though its really easy they help you like it's serious! Great place!

I ordered the combination plate with the sweet n sour chicken, egg roll and fried rice. Sweet n sour chicken- 4/5, I would have liked a tiny bit more crunch on the outside but overall was really good. Egg roll- 4/5 it was chicken and I prefer pork in an egg roll Fried rice- 5/5, it was soooo good, I again would have preferred pork over chicken, but it was soooo good!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant 10/10! Also, the food got here so fast! Maybe like 10 minutes or less even.

One of the best buffets I have ever been to. Fresh, clean, and authentic recipes. Service is friendly and the restaurant is convenient for large groups. Plenty of diverse options. Lots of protein and nutrients here. Highlights for me include the garlic chicken, steak, all the vegetables (kimchi), and the chicken noodle soup! Will be returning for sure.

Everything I ate was super delicious! A little pricey but worth every penny in the meals. Keep in mind there are no waiters or waitresses if youre ok with that then this is the place to go!!!

Great choice for Chinese buffet in Killeen. All you can it or to go box was priced $12.95 on the day of my visit. Good variety and they replenish often. Masks and use of hand sanitizer required while serving yourself. Drinks are also self service. Plenty of tables available. I wish they had better sushi options but considering their other options, it is steal a good deal. Go hungry.

We probably pass Yang Sing about 5-6 times a week. The food was alright. There were a few food pans that was practically empty. Some of those empty food pans' food was getting crispy from sitting in the pan for a long time. The variety of food was enough to enjoy the classic Chinese foods. The price was pretty consistent with other Chinese buffet restaurants. Honestly, if I had to go to a Chinese buffet in the future, I will go to the one on the other side of I-14.

The cashier just stood there and said nothing. Didn't ask how many or even say the price. I had to look at the cash register to see my amount. However, don't let that cause you to miss out on a great eating experience! The buffet is very well kept. The staff keeps the dishes removed from the tables so that you can make room for more to eat! The American food was good, the "Chinese food" given to us to eat was not the best (dumplings, sesame chicken...). And being a Chinese restaurant, I expected some type of music related to the culture of the restaurant... but it wasn't. Other than that, it was fine

It's an alright place to eat. I'd rather go to their competition asian buffet, they have a better sushi selection but wife wanted to go here again. As with everything in the economy the price has gone up but still affordable. You serve your own drinks. The staff is there mainly to clean and pick up used plates. It's fairly open space. I'd go again. It's usually not packed as they have strong competition around.

I read reviews before coming here, and the negative reviews are ridiculous. The food is hot, tasteful and the place is clean. The only issue I had was the sushi. The rice was more mushy than it needed to be and wasn't my cup of tea like that. Still had flavor, though. I recommend this place to anyone who's hungry and on a budget. Less than $14 and I'm stuffed. And yes, you do get your own drinks, but that just means you can burn some baby calories in between 😆

It's always clean and quiet when my family and I have been there. We really enjoy the overall environment/ambiance. Plus, there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy the food and surroundings. They did something the other day when we went there, a little boy took something out of one of the dishes w/ his hands and one of the staff ppl saw it and he took the whole pan out and dumped it out bc what the boy did wasn't sanitary or safe for others. Hit and miss with the hostess greeting you. One particular is very nice and makes you feel welcomed. There is a very nice older lady who cleans off the tables who is also very kind. She doesn't speak much but she's very respectful and just has a great aura about her. There's a great variety of food here. Even if you don't like Asian good. There's something for everyone here. Sushi is a definite no. Avoid it at all costs. It is very dry.

The assortment of food is quite a bit. It was all good. The cost however has gone up quite a bit since last time I went. $19 each adult. Cost me the same whether I drank water or soda which I didn't like. I didnt get bottled water nor any carbonated water just plain tap water with ice. I cut out soda from my lunches for health reasons so I won't be going back. I've always tipped wait staff until now. They didn't get tipped from anyone I was there with for the same reasons. We can't afford to tip after getting overcharged the way we did. Not to mention the location we went to was the old Lubys that got shot up years ago & people died. I usually have low expectations for Chinese American food in this area, which is why I’d always bypassed Yank Sing. But today, my fiancé convinced me to give their takeout a try, and I’m so glad I did. We ordered Chicken w/ Broccoli and SteamedRice, Pepper Steak and Steamed Rice, and Shrimp Fried Rice, and I have nothing negative to say. Each dish was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The chicken was tender, the steak perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp fried rice was delicious. Yank Sing completely exceeded my expectations, I’ll definitely be ordering from them again!

Whenever I go to Dallas in the morning I stop to Yank Sing buffet and the food is good! But somehow I feel absolutely weird eating in this place. It just feels uncomfortable. It’s not about the people or the stuff! The food is authentic! But I feel watched in the bathroom

Food was mid, but it's a buffet mass produced food is like that. Remember this is my opinion. Food like art is subjective. Beautiful inside, clean, and friendly staff. Will be taking my family back because they like the food.

If you have a child or children they place you in the back in a booth. It was just myself and one well behaved child having lunch together. They proceeded to sit a family with the MOST obnoxious child behind us. I had to have my soon move next to me so he wouldn't be bothered on the opposite side of the booth. My child just turned 10 & weighs 90lbs soaking wet. They charge the ADULT price for a 10 year old! He barely ate one plate. I should've called ahead and that was a mistake I won't make again. The only items I would recommend would be the shrimp and chicken varieties. Anything else was chewy, tough, overcooked, or had gristle in it. Items that should've been hot were not. I wouldn't recommend anything on the bbq/grilled area or the "American" traditional area of the buffet. The "sweet & sour" soup is just SOUR! The desserts were all a NO aside from the brownies. I don't know who is making that stuff, but I saw so much of it go into the trash. I made myself eat some of the things I didn't like because I hate to be wasteful when there so many homeless people here. I read reviews others left about being able to have a small to go, but I wasn't allowed to do that even though I just wanted the last bit that was left on my plate. We literally got 3 plates of main course food, one plate of fruit and another of desserts. We didn't even get 2nds on drinks. Now I see why so many posters state that they prefer Asian Buffet. We'll go there from now on. Oh, and the flies are a real thing in this restaurant. They kept flying around the area we were at. They should fumigate at night to alleviate this issue. Also, the staff that clears the tables comes by too frequently. Not everyone goes to a buffet to scarf down the food or take a few bites and waste the rest. Some people just go to a restaurant to sit down in a different atmosphere & enjoy the company they're with. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. That's why it gets a 3 from me.

We got there an hour before close so we are hoping the selection was weak due to the timing. The set up and decor is nice but my family wasn't too fond of the food. We did like the variety of chicken and beef combinations but it looked like someone went through and picked out a lot of the meat from most of the beef ones. I also loved that I was in charge of my own drink and its refills. I will try this place again but at a different time and hopefully it will render a better food experience.

The food is run of the mill quality. I mean there is not much to say, food was a chinese buffet. I did not get blown away, other than maybe afterwards on the toilet, and I do not feel a pressing urge to go back. So so....about sums it up. The price wasn't bad because it included your Drink, $21.00 + Tax per person. The Sushi was not Good at all the flavor combinations of the sushi just was not good. The Sushi rice was old. The WonTon soup would have been good but the Wontons were too soggy not steamed and served on the side so that they don't get waterlogged, and too much Cabbage in the Wonton soup. The Broth wasn't seasoned well and the Broth is the STAR of the soup with the Wontons being the co-Stars. Their fry oil of choice was either old or Peanut because the egg rolls tasted like cardboard. The color was there neat ness but over all flavor was NOT. The Fried Rice Noodles, Brownies, Ice Cream and Fresh Fruit were the best thing on the whole menu. I will give them another chance for lunch as see if they can redeem themselves.....🤷🏾‍♀️. We will see.

Got there as soon as it opened. Restaurant is beautiful and clean but old and outdated. Food looked beautiful and was hot but not everything tasted equally good. You can always tell a restaurant by their soup. Their hot & sour soup was gross. I enjoyed some of the dishes but tasted it the rest of the day. Kind of feel like I was restaurant catfished. Salads/fruit- good Cold shrimp- powdery with huge poop veins Sushi/fish cakes- good Soup- gross, wontons even worse Desserts- good Dishes- some good, some gross when it comes to flavor. Everything was hot and the textures were right. Price- it's a fair price considering it's all you can eat and will cost you the same to eat at McDonalds. You pay as soon as you walk through the door. Expect a line. Minimum seating while waiting. Service- saw lots of employees but no one ever came to clear up plates from our table. Good thing I didn't have seconds. They offer a free buffet with a safety drivers course.

Updated 02/20/2024 Decor is still awesome, service is about the same but the quality of the food has gone down in my opinion. Since in the end the main reason for going to a restaurant is to eat, I had to lower my evaluation. Pretty much everything I ate was around a solid 3 Stars. Price has gone up and I do not feel that the meal I received was a good value at $18. I will not be back for a very long time if ever. This is one of the most impressive decorating jobs that I have seen in a buffet, truly a beautiful place to dine.

Disappointing! We arrived at 9:00 pm, 1 hour before posted closing on the door and website which was 10:00pm and we had finished our main plate of food by 9:30. Upon our arrival, we were told to look at the buffet because they were not going to refill it. We saw main dishes, fresh fruit, sushi, soup, salads and desserts so we chose to eat the buffet. After we ate our main dish plate of food, we returned looking for fruit and dessert. Everything except the main dishes had already been picked up from the buffet. $32.34 for 2 people before tax and didn’t even get a chance to enjoy it.

TLDR- The food got me sick, felt overpriced and of below average quality although the facility is beautiful and well maintained. The interior is beautiful and very well maintained. Someone put some real care into the place and the craftsmanship was great. It was a little disappointing that they played some mix of 70's - 80's hits for music which very much spoiled the atmosphere given how well they nailed the interior and lighting. I was surprised to find that they do not use a waiting staff at all. You pay when you walk in and get your own drinks. I did like that no tip was required and the owners seemingly have the integrity to actually pay their own employees unlike some buffets; But the price point was terrible in my opinion. It was $15.95 which did not come close to being a good value given the quality of food. I also noted that they did not seem to track tables and the hostess kinda wondered around aimlessly looking for a booth which was strange. Not sure what the point of her walking me to a table was given there was no drink service and she did not set a location. For the food itself it was presented well. The buffet was full with most of the typical dishes you would expect being there. My biggest issue is that it seems like it was not prepared correctly. The eggrolls were not the typical 'heat-em-up' style you find at most Asian restaurants. They looked good but tasted bland. I also noted although it was suppose to be a chicken egg roll I could not see or taste any chicken at all, it kinda felt like if someone took that grinded up lettuce that comes on a Mc Donalds burger and added a few other greens and wrapped it up. Then it was the same story for the pork pot stickers. But it appears they literally just took a piece of sausage and steamed some dough around it. Words can not describe how wrong the flavor of that came out although their sauce was decent. I assume not many people tried them given the doe was rubber like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. The worst by far was the Hot and Sour soup. I am pretty sure they have just been heating up the leftovers every day and trying to hide the old flavor by dumping stuff into it. It also had an extreme sweet / vinegar taste which was nothing like any hot and sour soup I had ever tried. I feel like that soup could straight up hurt someone. All in all I tried a solid 12 or 14 dishes. If you go here stick to the standard ones. The Sesame Chicken was probably the best; but although they didn't seem flatly prepared wrong the rest of the dishes just were not good in my opinion. They did have some random American food as well which might be a good option if you have kids and they are picky eaters. There was also sushi which was as good as you could reasonably expect from a buffet and for drinks you serve yourself a variety of soda or go with tap water. All in all it feels like they have a beautiful facility but well below average food at a well above average price point. I can not help but assume they are cutting corners in the kitchen pretty hard core and it really shows given their end product although they did present everything well. The reason I am going 2 stars instead of 3 is that I felt sick after eating there. Something I ate my body was very unhappy with and I thought I was going to throw up for a while. Maybe I just got unlucky but given what they did to their dishes I would not be surprised to find out there is quite a bit of things going on in that kitchen the health department would take issue with.

People ringing us up and the lady who sat us was very straight faced and not friendly. The egg roll and other food was cold.... weird for a place that just opened. The sweet and sour sauce is dyed orange so much it dyed my fingers!!! I have NEVER had that happen. The lo mein was not cooked right and cold. We found some steak strips and filled up on that and fruit. This place is a for sure NOOOO.

While in the restroom, you can now hear Hispanic music playing as opposed to what I remember was classy instrumental music from my last visit. The noodles were almost completely dry. This place has taken a turn for the worst and I'm not sure if it's because of a shift in management, but I most likely won't be revisiting.

This is the most disgusting Chinese food I have ever eaten . Even the fortune cookies were stale . The food was wrong color. I wouldn't recommend this trash to my worst enemy !

Food was cold and tasted like it had been set out for hours. Service was horrible. When we requested they had to call some one on the phone and then told me only could refund for 1 buffet meal. This is the worst place I have eaten at and would recommend this restaurant to anyone at all.

I posted a very good review of this place a year ago. I have since then visited it twice today being one of them and the food has just done a complete plummet. It is heartbreaking because I always loved eating here and would get excited to come. I went today with my 9 yr old son and spent about 30$ just for the two of us to eat, and nearly everything I got tasted absolutely awful. I am not the kind of person who likes to waste food so I usually will force myself to finish what is at least on my plates. I couldn't even eat but a pinch of everything I got because it just tasted over cooked, rubbery, or undercooked. The mushrooms were always my favorite and they tasted fishy. The only thing I could really finish was the greenbeans. Even the deserts were disappointing. I literally was falling asleep on the way home from what I'm assuming is the MSG in the food. What happened to this place? 🙃🥺😢 I am disappointed to say My family and I will not be returning back here after today's visit.

I could sit for a while and chat. The food was alright. Rice was good but chicken broccoli was way oily. Ice cream tasted like water and the fruit tasted sour. The sushi was hard and seemed old, maybe from way early when first opened up. If no one eats it they must not check and replace with fresh. Staff didn’t speak nor take us to a seat or anything. Cashier was on her cell phone texting while checking us in. Since the last time I came here. Cashier was rude. Food bland. Drinks flat. I’m not coming back again. Sad to see their standards go down so bad. The kids didn’t even eat the food, not even the water ice cream. Even that was horrible

No clue how they have a rating of 4.0, the food is disgusting. No flavor, the fish is extremely fishy, the chicken options are all soggy. The best item was the lo mein and the Diet Pepsi. Ice cream was just flavored ice. The sushi was either bland or had a nasty taste. Extremely expensive for how poor quality the food is. They don’t even have that many options to begin with…

My family and I ate there today 05/27/23z It was absolutely NASTY and Disgusting. The food was being horrible. The soups were too salty the food has no taste. The fruit was SOUR. The fried rice was COLD. The noodles were all STUCK TOGETHER. It made me throw up. We also paid for a party of 7 but only 6 people showed up. The cashiers are RUDE. They REFUSED to give me a REFUND, even though the 7th person didn’t show up. For a MILITARY town this is a horrible restaurant. ASIAN BUFFET across the street is 100 times better than this place. I do not Rex this sorry excuse for a restaurant and I would never go back.

The atmosphere is very nice and there was a lot of food to choose, but nothing we had was hot. All the chicken taste the same and all the beef taste the same. There was no service. You get your own drink, our plates were stacked up before anyone offered to clear the table. Had to pay $10 for a 3 yr old which ate about 3 bites. Will not go back. The only friendly person was the lady running the register.

This is the former site of luby's cafeteria where on October 16th, 1991 a crazed gunman brutally murdered over 20 people in the worst massacre in American history at the time. I bet most people who have eaten there recently have no idea what happened there 30 something years ago.

Food was pretty bad and ate mabye twelve different things and they all tasted like chemicals and even my gf went outside to get some air and threw up..this was about four months ago and 40$ down the drain

I came here with my little brother because we really liked the place but I got my first plate and the chicken was raw but I decided to give it another shot and got another plate with my lil bro and we got lil dessert cakes and his had a hair in it so long that it sagged onto his plate so I showed the workers and we got our refund and left

I took my son to dinner last nigh & we did not get to enjoy $38 that I worked hard for & decided to spend at this establishment 💔😣. My son was super hungry & I was so happy that he finally allowed me to choose the place we were dining last night, got there & every dish that K tried to enjoy taste funny & the texture very much gave STALE‼️‼️ Ribs, fish, steak, imitation crab, rice, noodles, egg rolls, orange chicken…. EVERYTHING I TRIED EXCEPT CORN NUGGETS taste funny & texture was had been out for a while. I informed the clerk in hopes that she’d do something like change out the food & she gave a don’t really care type demeanor. I use to like the place but I’ll think twice before going to spent my hard earned money there again.

The servers were very short, the options are limited. The sweet and sour chicken was too salty and cold even tho it was straight off the hot plate. The general two's chicken tasted bad and was fatty. The fried rice was hard, the egg roll also tasted really bad and was cold. I didn't even finish my plate and just left. The food was horrible. The dining room needs a serious cleaning. If you really want a good buffet food, it's worth the drive to go to Dynasty in Temple.

Ordered yang sing fried rice. Recieved shrimp fired rice when I called they told me they could only fix it if I drive the 30 minutes back to them so I didi. Before I did I marked the box I had. When they took the food the lady took it back into the kitchen after its been in my car and house! When she brought it back to me with the right rice in it it was still the marked box!! So they essentially heated up the shrimp rice i had and added the other meats to the same rice
