The fried fish, hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw at this place are undeniably the best in town. Trust me, the Kens tartar sauce is on another level. I don't mind waiting ten minutes for fresh fried fish because it's absolutely worth it! Plus, the service is both friendly and speedy, making the whole experience even better.

The chicken, fries and bombers were so good I ordered drive thru and they gave me my drink and asked me to move forward when they came and gave me my food it was hot and fresh and I asked the girl if she could switch out my drink due to it tasting so watered down she had no problem doing so only lil problem I had that the fried pickles were burnt but everything else was super good I'm sure if I would have told them about the pickles they wouldn't have had a problem fixing it they were great I will definitely be going back again

Shout-out to the amazing team at Kingsville’s Chicken Express! I couldn’t decide what I wanted and kept changing my mind at the Drive-thru, but the staff were so patient and polite, and beyond helpful. True professionals at this location, not to mention the food is bomb. I got the fillet fish and spicy chicken tenders. A must-visit!

I’m there every Tuesday for the fish special: two fried fish filets, four hush puppies, fries or coleslaw and a drink for $8.49. It’s always been piping hot when I get it back to work for lunch. The manager Ms Juanita is the sweetest as well! Go see her and get you some delicious fish! Their chicken tenders are my favorite in town too.

Chicken Express in my eyes isn't bad. The size of their pieces of chicken reminds me of Flintstones. The prices are better than Popeyes. My only issue with Chicken Express is the sweet tea. It's ultra sweet. It actually made my teeth hurt. That's the only reason I didn't give you guys 5 stars. Other than that, I'd recommend Chicken Express to anyone.

If you want a nice change in food and fried chicken or fish is "in order"...then give Chicken Express a try. Its a new very nice change in fried chicken...and the corn meal fried fish is great too!!! The restraunt is clean and service is prompt...try them!!!

Best fast food chicken and fish in Kingsville. I eat here pretty regularly for lunch. I will say this is probably the only place in Kingsville that has not messed up my order. The staff is always happy and respectful. Love the gizzards.

First time visiting food was good...I had the gizzards and my kids had the chicken stripes... the only down side is the floor is very slippery... I slipped and fell the manager didn't come out to see if I was ok or not

The catfish was crispy but a bit dry. The service was ok and friendly. The lobby was a little dirty, but overall it was ok.

This is the first time I visited your store. I have always told my children and grandchildren to say 3 positives before a negative: (1) the store was clean, (2) did not have a long wait, (3) polite employees... OKAY the negative... I order the express fish plate.. I told the cashier I wanted OKRA, she even turned around and said OKRA, but I didn't check my order till I got back to work.. NO OKRA... but french fries. If I had wanted french fries, I would have not asked for OKRA!

At the drive through: the attendant was polite, I ordered a 2 piece meal, only thighs, I was informed that many sides were out for the night, so my mom settled on double mashed potatoes and a sweet tea. I added an extra mashed potato and 2 extra rolls. We ended up with a 4 piece tender no drink , 4 potatoes and 3 rolls. Apparently when you double the same side it voids the drink (which I wasn't told until I got off) and to top it off 2 of the potatoes were rotten.

This is the second instance of bad service and rudeness at this location. Today while my wife was ordering for us the lady taking our order was not paying attention. My wife had to keep repeating herself. The lady asked if we needed anything else. My wife said, "Uhm..." and before she could finish her thought we were told our total and to go to the window. We left immediately. This place was great when it opened and now has gone downhill fast.

Food is good but the service, not so much. I ordered 8pc with family okra and fries. We waited about 10 minutes. We got our food and no okra. So we asked "where's the okra?" She said I didn't charge you for it. Well, we ordered it. She said there's a line of cars. So go around and go through again to order it. So in order for us to get what we ordered, we would need to go through the whole process again. SMH So it was a toss up, cold chicken or hot okra. So needless to say, that will be our last (this was our first) visit to Chicken Express. Thanks, but I'll pass. -1 star for time -1 star for prices -1 star for service We paid $34 for our partial order.

The worst fast food chicken I've ever eaten. Chicken and okra over cooked. Too much batter. Only good thing was the jalepeno and cold slaw.

I went 3 days ago and not only did i get charged incorrectly by the cashier, I also didn't receive any food or a refund after emailing the owner. I still haven't received any response so I guess this is the only way to get their attention. UPDATE: its been almost a week with no email response and after calling (to no response, no one picking up) its clear to me that they intend to just scam me and never refund me for food i never received. I'll never revisit them at this point, not worth the trouble, which is a shame cause the foods not bad.

I love coming to this location when I want a randomized order. 4/5 times this place will give you a quarter of your order completely at their discretion. Yet still be unable to understand what exactly is on the menu. Well done.

My father, who struggles a bit with his english asked the manager at #chickenexpress if there was someone who spoke Spanish. The lady replied: "THIS IS AMERICA WE DONT NEED TO SPEAK SPANISH." He then said I'm asking you a question and she said "and I answered." Best belive I'm calling corporate and putting a complaint and taking other actions on this type of stupidity! My father felt discriminated and poorly treated at this place!!

Was quite disappointed and perhaps not likely to return again. Drivethru speaker was broken so drove up to the window. Greeting? "What do you want?" and that was literally all. No please, no thank you, no you're welcome, no come again, just an annoyed look on her face. Jug of sweet tea was sticky. Food was a disappointment as well.

Bought a gallon of sweet tea today 7/14/22 about 1400 hours, and got back to work opened it and it tastes bad, like the taste when tea has sat to long and is going bad, usually it's pretty good but not this time, buyer beware.

Finally made it to this place! Ordered fish fillet dinner plate.....portion was good but fish extremelt dry so ordered a chicken wing which turned out to be "old" ... The biscuit was very cold....I did enjoy the sweet tea and the cole slaw! My husband who os not at all a pucky eater also did not like the fish...he enjoyed the corn and okra! So for $22 we ate okra...corn...cole slaw and drinks!

Getting really annoyed lately with getting a $2 side of mashed potatoes that’s barely half full when you order it with no gravy. Tonight someone very obviously scrapped the gravy off the top leaving literally 2 mouthfuls of potatoes. Wish I could attach a picture. Seriously quitting eating here for awhile. Service has gone downhill since opening.

Absolutely horrible customer service and the hours on line do not match the store hours. So disappointed thru should really get some training from the chicken express up in Fort Worth area. Y’all need to do better

Stopped here a few months after opening, used to the location in Portland. Not my favorite but I wanted something aside from Popeyes. found a roll with a baby roach baked in on the bottom. come on Kingsville...

This place is so disgusting! I ordered a #1 with mashed potatoes. I got mashed potatoes that looked like grits and tasted very sour! They took 45 minutes for two meals! I love chicken express, but it’s gone down hill!!!!

I have never had a bad experience until today. I went during lunch and when I got back to work to get ready to eat. My chicken looked old and was cold and my roll was too. My tea had no ice and was warm. If I had more time during lunch I would have taken my food back and got a refund.

Ordered 2-4pc tenders, half spicy and half reg. Restaurant doesn’t have spicy tenders they didn’t call or text to inform me. So they didn’t make the order at all. I showed up to pick up my online order, then I am informed that the order is not ready. Order was placed 45 minutes before scheduled pick up. They asked for my phone number and email. 2 methods of communication and no attempt was made before my arrival. What’s the point of placing a scheduled order ahead of time if it is not going to be ready at the scheduled time?

Every single piece was overcooked, extremely dry, tough, and completely unappetizing. Both meals had the exact same issue, so this wasn’t a random mistake — it’s a serious problem with how the chicken is being cooked. I also tried their cookies, and they were mediocre and pretty disappointing. The fish was the only thing cooked well, and the sides and biscuits were good. But none of that matters when the main item — the chicken — was this bad. What really sucks is that this place is right down the street from my house, but after this experience, I’m never coming back. If this is the quality they’re putting out, I have no interest in giving them another chance. This visit deserves 1 star, and I hope management seriously re-evaluates how they’re preparing their chicken, because this was unacceptable.
