Update: I'm obsessed with their Cali surf burrito 🌯 😍 Update: still delicious. Busy around lunch time. Still delicious. The food is amazing. They've even fulfilled a LARGE order for a local PTA (staff appreciation event). Everyone was raving at how delicious the breakfast burritos were. Looking for keto-friendly? Order a carnitas or carne asada burrito supreme w/o the tortilla. YUM!!

Love their food. We've been going there since it opened. Very friendly staff. It's not a fancy place, a bit too cold in winter, so we get food to go.

I'm so glad this place is so good, because it's the closest taco shop to my house. Best items are the rolled tacos (not too hard, not too soft) and the fish burrito. They do charge 50c for drink refills, but you get chips/salsa and hot carrots (they are mild) for free. They have all 3 flavors of aguas frescas and a few different soft drinks on tap. No beer or wine.

I stay about 5 minutes from here. This taco shop is outstanding! The food is always hot, served correctly, and the service is great. The atmosphere is calm, clean and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for those of you looking for great Mexican food!

Macho taco is our go to Mexican food restaurant in Rancho San Diego. Try to California burrito, it is one of the best anywhere. They have a great free chips and salsa bar. Also a great option for takeout orders. Easy parking and quick delicious food.

Work was kind and patient, I asked what along the lines of what's good, and they recommended the carne asda burrito. It wasn't to pricey for a burrito given it size but to be fair im from a different state. Would recommended their Horchata it was pretty good as well.

I went there today 7/12/ 24 for the first time and ordered some carne asada fries with cheese and guacamole. Let me tell you!!!! The fries were fresh and just the right amount of crisp, carne asada was well seasoned and perfectly grilled, with an even layer of cheese and the guacamole had just the right amount of spice. They were ssssssoooooo good!! I will definitely go back!!!

The food is really great and its truly authentic mexican cuisine. I got a carne asada burrito and it was the size of my forearm and densely packed. It tastes amazing but was just a little chewier and greasier than I personally prefer. The Jamaica I ordered was also great, not too rich or too sweet.

Great food, good service, friendly people Today was my first time here & I will come again. My burrito was delicious, they didn't mind adding Cilantro to it. The rice & beans were tasty & warm. What a nice dinner I had today !!! I think I will go there tomorrow 😏

Great food and affordable. Got the fish burrito and it was solid. The lady behind the counter was a little rude (hence the 4 stars) but this place is great overall. Free chips and pickled carrots too. 👍

It's a taco shop. Kinda hard to screw it up. Great salsa bar, the chucky one has good punch. Rice good. Beans good. Tacos tasty n crunchy. Shrimp burrito is good, could use a few more shrimp.

There was a little bit of difficulty at first with the order but after repeating to correct it, it was prepared correctly when I arrived to pick it up. Had the Carne Asada fajita burrito, and a combination number five plate with tostada and taco rice. I would recommend this place it’s quick and fast and delicious. Prices are a little bit higher than on the menu.

For years, Machos was our go-to taco shop. The food quality has gone down so much, it’s really sad. We’ve given them a few chances too. We got two Cali burritos the other day and they were bad, luckily their breakfast burritos are usually good.

With so many good taco shops in the area you would think the owner would listen to all the negative service comments and find better people to work the front. Sorita’s is always busy but we’ve never had a rude experience there.

The food is good, but customer service is terrible, the girl in the black sweatshirt, puts your food on the counter and gives you her back when you are getting your food. Can't even look at you and at least smile or a thank you, welcome.

I've been getting food from this establishment off and on for a few years now. The lady that's usually working the counter tends to be kind of rude, but that's not why I'm leaving this review. I got a machaca burrito from them on March 19th 2021 and have since been suffering from the worst bout of food poisoning I've had in my entire life. I'm 90% certain the store was the origin of my food poisoning as it was the only meal I had eaten that day and I was doubled over in agony within an hour of eating their food.

They refused to take a phone order 20 minutes before closing. The lady kept the phone off the hook for 2 minutes and I could hear her, then she hung it up. Then she hung up on me twice more. 13 minutes before closing, their lights were turned off and the door was locked. I wonder what the owner thinks of the workers being so lazy.

Rude cashier. Food is average, but they over charge. All their prices went up significantly, but they didn't update the menu. When I asked her about being overcharged, she pointed to a hand written note taped to the cash register. She told me, everyone knows our prices went up". Not me! I demanded my money back, all of it!

I ordered taco salad on 08/29/23 at 5 pm, there was no sour cream or Guacamole on my salad as it comes with. When I asked the cashier for sour cream, she was on her phone- rolled her eyes and was so rude when she throw little cup with very little cream on it. Not going back for sure.

I was in the area and thought I would try them again. It was a mistake, I couldn't get exactly what I wanted in a combination because it wasn't on the menu. I guess no substitutions. Absolutely no atmosphere,the cashier / order person had no personality, took my order and money and seemed a little impatient when I want a substitution. I normally go to La Posta on Campo Rd. in CDO because they do make the customer happy with substitution. Will not make this mistake again.

I used to go here all the time when they 1st opened up. Excellent food, great service..But like a lot of the businesses they have went down the road of getting cheap. I just got back home from picking up a Carnasada Burrito. The bag felt light, I didn't think to much of it Until I Get home uncover the foil and seen a almost flat burrito. I cut my burrito in two picked up one half , and the meat falls down deeper in the tortilla it is literally 1/4 full. I am posting pics on my Facebook with a copy of this Review.

Wow I've never met a cashier this disrespectfully rude. She even keeps a frown and turns her back instead of acknowledging you. All I asked for was a rip off $5 pint of salsa but she refused to fill it to the top. I kindly asked if salsa is expensive to make , and she made a face an ignored me. I said thank you as I walked away and she still ignored me. I know there isn't a language barrier because I've spoken to her in Spanish in the past, yet she's still the same. Her and the other one that looks like her. NO MORE CHANCES
