I had the Double chicken avocado salad. Loved the presentation and how the cook put it together very good salad. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Clean restaurant and very clean restroom.
Whenever my family and I go to this specific location we are always greeted and feel welcomed. There was an specific employee who stood out to us because he did his best to make sure we were taken care of and others around us. He’s name is Mackenzie we appreciated the fact that he was very hardworking and polite.
Authentic Mexican grill. Some of the healthiest food I think u can get. The chicken isn't fried, it's grill. The flavor of the chicken is always on point. They do have some fried food options, n 2 thumbs up. They r pretty fast.
Richy and Eric at the el polo loco on Ave J was very helpful nice and pleasant to deal with. Me and my manager made a huge lunch order during rush hour and they helped us and we had our order in 10mins! We ordered 32 pieces of chicken & lots of EXTRAS!!! I would highly recommend this place! Good job Richy and Eric we will definitely come again when get lunch for our staff members!

El Pollo Loco has really come through in the past yrs or so. I use to feel their chicken was extremely too dry, which is not the case anymore. Im most happy about being able to feed my family of 3 (or 4 on occasion) for $20. Good food at a great price is rare. The cashier, I've experience her twice at this location, she's young and sweet. Always trying to upsell with a smile on her face, i always go for it😉

Finally a place without Kiosk machines. Person to person interaction is much more appealing. They should remove all Kiosk machines from Pollo Loco.
They always treat ( my developmentally disabled participants during my outing days) really good.. Very nice and clean, especially the bathrooms. The food is delicious and we can ge inexpensive snacks too( like churros) for after lunch

I've been to plenty of pollo locos but I love this one since they make your food extremely quickly. The place is always clean and their water is delicious. You can tell they clean their water filter since the water doesn't taste like the soda machines. If you need quick chicken this is the place
As another post mentioned, they get your food out quick! Super helpful staff at the front desk. The guys are very friendly. With our big order one of the young men even asked if I needed help out. Very kind. It was a large order for our school staff and they rocked it! Thank you!

First time ever at El Pollo Loco and for a Mexican Restaurant wasn't disappointed. The floors weren't greasy or slippery, employees who I talked to were friendly and nice. Went back a second time to purchase a gift card for friends who live in the area.
We usually go thru the drive thru, service is good gets you through fast. Food is always plenty never slacking on the portion size. And feeding a family of 4 the price is right.

Can’t say anything else but wow to the service! I placed an online order just a few minutes before I arrived at the restaurant and my order was just about done! Worker was super friendly and gave no hesitation when I asked for extra sauce. Drink was already prepared nothing was forgotten in my bag 10/10 service. That is the type of service I like to receive. If you like salads buy them here , I had went through the drive thru and had the double chicken avocado salad and it was delicious, really good portion and only $9.00 ! sorry I didn’t upload a photo cause I ate it once I got home 😛
I feel any one dealing with food should wear gloves even if u stacking the containers for the food. This should include cashiers if they are showing the customer their food. U are lifting the container up touching the food. Not sanitary.
Very wonderful staff!! I had 2 pick up/delivery orders today but dining room was closed.. Staff saw me at the door and graciously gave me both orders without forcing me to go through Drive-Thru!! New to LA but hope to enjoy an wonderful meal at this location in the very near future!!
Good food. Speedy service. clean tables! Only 1 in East Lancaster which makes the line long especially the drive thru side. They forgot my chips but quickly apologized and made it right.
Well I went on my lunch break and i got a chipotle avocado burrito. It was pretty slow only one car in front of me .. So my burrito was really good its was full of all the ingreadiants, they were fast and friendly and the food delicious when i asked for the jalapeno sauce 10 of them cause i love it , they gave me 10 like I asked.. It was a good lunch
Sometimes there's a wait in the car line but the soup is worth, it's very good when catching flu
stopped by the El Pollo Loco in Lancaster, CA for a quick meal, and my experience was pretty average. The staff was friendly enough, and my order came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the food just wasn’t as fresh as I’m used to from other locations. The chicken had good flavor, but it was a bit dry, and a couple of the sides tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The restaurant itself was mostly clean, though a few tables needed wiping down. Nothing terrible, but nothing impressive either. Overall, it wasn’t a bad visit—just not great. I’d go back if I’m in the area and need something quick, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this location.
Way better than Taco Bell. I gave them 4 stars because their sides are quite small and cost $6-7!
One of the many reasons I like El Pollo Loco is their salsa. Well on my last trip they gave me no salsa and unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home, some 20 miles away.
No pazole no explanation. We normally have horrible service at this particular El pollo loco, but Mackenzie all though he seems a little strange, he is always on top of things and goes out of his way to do his best. No plates here either. Poorly managed but since this is the only El pollo on the east side you kind of settle for mediocre service and inconsistent product.
Ugh I love to come here in December for the hot chocolate however the one on the west side has tiny cups the one on the east side has big cups but they don’t fill it but half way which is still more then the other store.
There is a habit of me receiving overcooked, over charred dry chicken. Sometimes, I forget I have to specifically ask for the chicken that is edible.
It was not good, I really shouldn't have given 3stars. Fries were under cooked, like a noodle. My chicken wings very under cooked. 4 of the 5 pink and red(blood inside), if I wasn't home already I would have brought them back.

What I started to notice moving to landcaster is that every fast food restaurant we go to, lord, they take their sweet time, horrible, that I have to wait 30min plus in the drive-through. They need to stop hiring Mama kids because it is bad the bad. They are super slow they over staff and they still bad workers..
It took a while for them to take my order. Then, when I got to the window, they took my debit card and then asked me to back my car up in the drive-through to reset their timer. Back at the window they gave me my card and food and closed the window. No words exchanged or anything. Have a nice day I guess.....
Some employees here, have bad attitudes and can be rude at times. Sometimes when order from drive-thru, your orders are incorrect or incomplete (even when you tell them correctly). They NEED to start checking and verifying orders (in the bag) before they hand it to you.
If you go inside they generally get my order correct, but in the drive thru they constantly leave items out of my order. Lately chicken is burnt on one side and raw on the other. Seems like someone is always stoned at this location. Always new employees that have no idea what they are doing. I guess weed is legal now so maybe it is ok to get so stoned and screw up peoples food?
The food is good, the service not so good. When ever I go through the drive thru there's always something missing that I ordered. I used to use their online app to order, but onetime the app froze. I went to the restaurant and they had not received my order. But the money was taken out of my account. They said I would have to call corporate. I order there at the restaurant thinking I would get reimbursed from corporate. I called corporate and someone fiddled around with the computer for about thirty minutes. Well I never did get that money back. I think I'm done with El Pollo Loco,I'll never go back again. Corporate saw this and reached out to me. And since I could prove that this was true they refunded my money that I was owed. I was surprised that they reached out to me. I thought well I do like the food I'll go back. Went through the drive thru and pulled ahead and lo and behold I was missing a order of guacamole and chips. Maybe it's just me Lol
Got the "half chicken" meal. That's 4 pieces with 2 small sides. The pieces were small and over cooked. I easily waited 15 minutes in the drive-thru. I paid $14.00 for that meal !!! 😧 But the worst part was that there was a line of at least 5'6 cars in the drive thru, the wait was ridiculous and when I got to the window, the manager was inside laughing and goofing off with his workers. It was just after 4pm on this last Thursday.
My cashier was cool under pressure young black man had coworkers who seemed confused so he had to fill orders and deal with an angry line at the register but literally kept his cool staying professional and polite while I stood in line for 30+ minutes because he had to do his coworkers jobs and his own. Long story short... they need to hire more staff asap and award this guy for not taking out his frustration on the coworkers or customers.
Not what i expected. I order my food the girl forgot some stuff and i didnt get what you i paid for. In my burrito i got lots of cabage not the right amount of chicken and on the tostada lots of letuce not enough chicken.
Just bought 3 tacos for lunch and I found a black hair about 2-3 inches long. I tried calling a few times to let them know but no answer… way to ruin my lunch break :/
Service has not been good lately. Slow and customer service is non-existent. Walked out on 9/17 without ordering because there was a 30 minute wait for any family meal. Eight o’clock on a Saturday night? I don’t understand.
When I ordered my food the worker seemed rude and upset because I wasn't familiar with the menu. After I ordered, I payed cash and the shift leader doesn't know how to count he tried to jip me 15 bucks and I called him out and he immediately said " oh you're right" seemed purposely tbh
The only thing I didn't like was that the pico de Gallo was expired it tasted bad I feel bad That I didn't went to tell the manager because they should check the sauces before they give them I had to go home and throw up .
This place is a hit or miss. I think it is corporate owned. No wonder. I live literally 3 min away from this location, but prefer going to the one on Valley Central Way. Also it is franchise owned and they cook the chicken to perfection! Never have an issue there. This location almost always has sassy employees, chicken undercooked or over cooked. Corporate needs to come back and train everyone. This is why I refuse to go here, always disappointed. I’ve been a El Pollo Loco lover since the 90’s.
I go to East Side Lancaster El Pollo Loco to support them and closer to residence. But today I was appalled by a flat burrito not fully closed and dripping of junk. I ended up with an upset stomach even though I risked eating only half. It was a good 30 minutes to go thru drive through. I will travel to West Side where service and food are better.
I've been to this location three times. The first time, the tortilla was refrigerator cold; then, there was very little chicken in a burrito; and finally, today I left without ordering because no one seemed to be available to take orders. I predict this location will not last long.
I’ve been here twice in the last two weeks and the first time the food was just ok and the second time it was awful. Double chicken bowl had barely any chicken which was old. I ate the tortillas with salsa and that’s all that was edible.
2024.0820 I find the fire grilled chicken greasy. The skin sticks to you fingers. The sides are too small. If you need to feed 4 or more people you need to buy a family meal and it is mega expensive. Your best bet is to have a coupon to buy chicken only. At home, make some instant mashed potatoes, open a can of black beans or pinto beans and a can of corn. For a little effort on your part you will save a lot of $$. If you must, buy a large mac & cheese but I don't think it's that great. They changed the reward point system. You now have to order and pay thru the app and can no longer just scan your receipt 😔
I came by at lunch time today and they were moderately busy, nothing too crazy. Took me about 20 minutes to order on the kiosk and it seemed pretty hectic in the kitchen. I am writing this review because I am disappointed on how my food came out. The chicken in my chicken avocado quesadilla had pieces of fat and hard charred pieces which made it difficult to chew. Also, there were literally only 4-5 chips in my chip bag. Lastly, I asked for an extra pico and she took a green sauce away and I didn’t notice till I was gone :(
I asked for Loaded Chicken Nachos with no guacamole, Pico De Gallo, and Sour Cream. They put guacamole on it. I mentioned it, because I am allergic to avocados. Instead of making a new one, they just removed the guacamole, but not all of it. Needless to say, I didn't eat them. And I really wanted to try them...
Food quality was not that great. Hardly any flavor. Had a street corn burrito bowl and the chicken was pretty bad. Tasted like it was 9 hrs old and had the texture of it also, dried and shriveled. If I hadn't gone through the drive through I would have returned it. I'll never eat this brand again. Made me feel nasty 🤢 Do not recommend

I order 2 chicken avocado burritos, and they were not much of anything except mostly lettuce and cilantro. The burritos were smaller than how they should be originally the actual size ordering from other el pollo loco restaurants near me. I rather give no stars. Just highly unsatisfied.
I ordered a meal at the drive through window. I ordered a three piece meal and got avtwo piece meal. Because of my asthma I asked for a coke no ice and had to repeat it because the attendent kept saying ice tea. The chicken leg was smaller than my index finger and look like a little ball. The bone appeared to be cut off at the top of the squab-not chicken leg. The attendent was friendly but I will never go there again even if it is close to my home. Thus was my first time going there and my last.
Not good. Me and my boyfriend went today. He ordered 3 tacos al carbon and once we were home he saw they only put 2 tacos and worse there was a fly inside of it 👎👎 he didn't have time to go back because he had to go to work. He just threw them away. 👎
Ive order online numerous times and they always seem to disappoint me from not sending items on my order to not sending my chips and salsas the point is they always mess up they need better customer service and better managing attention to the deliveries this will for sure be my last time to order on line from them and maybe even to drive up there not worth me paying for a service I don’t receive!!
Too pricey for what you get! 😠 My chicken avocado burrito turned to be a lettuce burrito with 2 tiny pcs of burnt chicken and a little bit of rice, beans and pico de gallo! Other burrito was exactly like mine...for $16...never again!!
I went in to order on 11-05-2020, expecting that my order will be correct when I arrived home it was all wrong nothing that I receive was correct. The 3 tacos al carbón had onions and cilantro when I asked for them plain. Stuffed quesadilla had cabbage pico and the creamy cilantro when I didn’t want that my double chicken bowl didn’t not have easy rice and more beans like asked for. It seem like they don’t care to read the order they just put everything on just to make the stuff go faster since they do have long lines. It’s not the first time that i have to go back and have a rude manager upset because they messed up on my order like it’s the customer fault. I expect better service but I highly doubt that will happen.
Honestly it was terrible service tortillas were cold lemons very old not fresh chicken was ok. They need to fix a couple of things to better serve Public. Dont recommend this Pollo Loco on J ave and 20th st east to Nobody Cashier gave service like if my good order was for free. 👎
Tried their new shredded nacho and double nacho, both were terrible chips were soggy too much sauce the chicken was left over chicken. Total experience was horrible. Girl at the was very nice, the food was not worth the price.
Second time visiting this location, first was about a month ago; I picked up some grub on my way home from work for the family, can't remember what I ordered but it was around $40 for the family. Ordered at the drive thru, got home and the whole order was wrong, we were hungry so we just are what was in the there bags, didn't bother calling because we did eat the food after all. The second trip, tonight (8:40pm, drive thru had a few cars, no one inside) went in and ordered for the wide and I. I ordered the double chicken tostada and she ordered the mini bowl. While the order was being cooked we tried to find a place to sit, every take was available, but they were all dirty and not one person in the front cleaning. All the employees were all in the back, behind the counter cleaning; someone was cleaning the grill with a water hose pulled into the inside of the kitchen area spraying the grill and scrubbing the grill. It's hard to believe that not one person would be in the front cleaning, every table has sauces and trash on them. Now the food, nothing was warm and the wife didn't want to complain because she was afraid of something happening to the new food coming out. Would love to hear from someone about this issue.
Every time I order online food they always missing items. Today I order some food online and guess what they are missing again. I call the store today and i dont know if she is a manager or what and i told her wat happened to my order. She make me hold a few mins and she went back and she tell me she is sorry for the item for missing and she want me to come back for it. Then she told me that i should tell my brother not to go to the drive- thru to pick up first of all its not my brother fault for missing the item. It is they have the reciept for checking all the item you order. How come they dont have the item in the bag. Second the manager is also rude. So from now on im not gonna order food here or come on this location. They are the worse placed ever
The night crew was more interested in talking and gossiping (all guys) then doing their actual job. Had to wait 10 min at the window for them to take the payment.( they were chitchatting away) Wait another 10 min to tell me their out of Mac&cheese at 9:30 pm. They didn’t even provide me with any utensils or condiments that I had asked for. Never coming here during the evening shift.
🛑🚨Last night I went to get dinner and employee was standing omg on the grill while there was still chicken on the grill then he was spraying degreaser on the grill in front of the chicken while chicken wasn't covered then didn't even wash his hands or put gloves on grabs pitch for picks up chicken and starts to chop! Great job night crew oh and also having personal convo out loud was very disturbing as customers were there waiting basically unnecessary vulgar language in spanish🛑🚨
I ordered through the app two large chicken tortilla soup, a double protein avocado pollo fit bowl and a chicken tinga burrito. The burrito was not included in my order, either you forgot to include it, or dasher took it, because other items in the bags were a little messy also! And the soup was mostly liquid. There were very little pieces of chicken but lots of corn, and on the salad as well. It's ridiculous to be treated like this when the food is actually delicious.
I’m really trying to be kind here and keep from giving this 1 star. It has its good days and bad days. More bad though. There has been multiple times we’ve waited over an hour for two burritos… but what’s even worse is the staff most of the time. Tonight a man named Joseph did not seem very happy in his employment. Working with customers and that depressed to the point where you can’t even say hi to people, or confirm that he understood our order is pretty sad. I don’t know what’s going on in his life, but you may want to check up on him. Or maybe that’s his demeanor? I don’t know. Update: Went today… I keep trying to give this location a chance and they keep making it worse. I really try not to give 1 star reviews, but you have left me no choice. I will not be coming back to this location. Their doors were locked at 12 on a Friday. There were no signs posted stating they were closed. There was one customer in there (I don’t know how they got in) and the staff just ignored us. Avoid this place. It’s worth traveling out of the way for your El Pollo Loco fix.
We ordered extra avocado slices, paid for it but didn't get it. Paid for chips, didn't get chips, paid extra for chicken breast in family feast, no breast!! Asked us to take pics of a $75 order!!😡 The nerve! This was on Thursday April 28 between 2-4 pm. Would give a zero if I could. But I gave 1 cuz the actual food was great!!!!
Juan G got an attitude with me because your speaker doesn’t work well and he couldn’t hear me. No greeting, no receipt. He acted as if I was bothering him. The service is subpar. I will just take my business elsewhere. No biggie.
I am disappointed with my neighborhood, El Pollo Loco. Their original chicken bowl looks awful with chicken pieces, including skin and grissel. It was cold, and the onions were not fresh, and they failed to add cilantro. They can't call it the original chicken bowl anymore! That's false advertising. It no longer contains white meat, at least at this location. Furthermore, I have been here on 3 occasions in the past 4 weeks, and they were out of chicken! This is a chicken only restaurant! No chicken, why are you open? The drive-through line is long, and you don't find out until you make it there to order. Now, I had to wait for the other cars in front to leave to get out of the drive thru. Some cars left right away once they could, but I wonder what the other cars ordered if they are out of chicken?
I tried the new shredded beef birria and although the taste was decent, they barely put any meat inside the taco. It reminded me if the little sorry tacos from Jack in the Box. Besides the micro portion of beef, there was nothing else inside the taco. The sauce that goes with it is watery and not good as they claim on the commercial. I was extremely disappointed in this limited edition menu item I will not order it again.
The worse customer service I've seen employees have no respect for customers. I wonder what kind of owner will let their employees bring business down treating customers the way they do. They not even make the orders right look like is not what we want to order is what they want to give us.and you can't complain about about anything or they will hit you on the face if you dare.
2nd time this month that I get an attitude from staff! Working everyday as essential worker, I order my food thru the app and pick up during my lunch time, Food is already Ready which is great, unfortunately it's just the Attitude I'm receiving from Staff when I ask for Salsa, today the young lady assisting me just had an attitude overall. It's sad that as I am rushing trying to get my food and trying to help them by ordering they get U in a frustrating mood just because they are not being professional, maybe Rosa (I thik her name was) is way too young to know what Professionalism is in any kind of jobs we do, or maybe Pollo Loco should teach that to their staff.
This will be the last time I go to this drive thru. The cashier charged my card twice and didn’t even know my order but charged my card anyways. Normally I don’t have a problem here but this time the food was extra spicy which I can’t eat, and was not satisfied with the service I got. Just want to give a warning if you use a card at the drive thru check your statements to make sure your not charged more than once.
I would give this particular store less than a one star if I was allowed to. I have come to this store several different times and every time have had a terrible experience. The employees are always extremely rude, they close their dining room anywhere between 30-45 minutes early, and their drive thru is always packed because their employees are incompetent. Also for some reason an hour and a half before they close, they are always out of chicken for their family size meals. I would not recommend this store to even my worst enemy. Hopefully this helps to decide where NOT to eat. The one on Ave L and 10th is way better!!!
Cashier was amazing however when asking for a wing lovers the cook Jose was rude he then about about a legs lover Jose said I have nothing bushing him off. Very poor team work on Jose behalf and he was really rude...service stars are for cashier and clearly there were 2 full racks of chicken that was done
I was looking forward to having pollo loco for lunch before I head to work, I went home and started to eat my burrito and I noticed a fat chunk of pink nasty chicken, I was so disgusted, Thank You Pollo Loco on Avenue J in Lancaster I didn’t even get my green salsa either you guys have some rude cashiers especially Jocelyn 😡😡😡😡
Very disappointed with my order, I purchased 2 orders of chicken tacos, the tortillas were not heated up and just a little bit of chicken. I ordered a 3 side combo and they didn’t give me my tortillas. Very disappointed! Half the staff were hanging out just talking and the other staff were working
The posted closing time is 10:30 PM, but when I arrived at 10:20 PM, the restaurant was already closed. This is misleading and inconvenient for customers who rely on the listed hours. If the location closes earlier, the hours should be updated accordingly.
I like everything here except the grilled chicken is always overcooked. This has been since October. It was dry and the skin was black. See the pic, I had to eat around the burned parts. Please stop burning the chicken... I would give a higher rating but I mostly get grilled chicken here. Update: Went here again 3/26/19 and they forgot items (salsa, utensils, straw) and I ordered my chicken juicy but still a little dry. Used the form that owner suggested in response to my last review and I received no acknowledgment that my form was sent. Downgraded to 1 star. Guess I'll go to the one on 10th St W and L from now on.
Edit from Review of 7 months ago: Got a coupon in the mail to try their new stuffed quesadillas so we thought we'd try them again. I ordered 1 shredded beef stuffed quesadilla & 1 chicken & avocado stuffed quesadilla. Get home quite a bit later (4 cars in front of me but I was gone for over 30 minutes and I live about 3 minutes away!) and cut them in half as my husband wanted half of each. ZERO avocado in the "chicken & avocado" quesadilla - and the wrapper even had an avocado sticker on it!! I immediately called but nobody would answer the phone! 1) When it takes a long time in line 2) When the employees obviously want to be elsewhere 3) When you don't get what you ordered / what was advertised 4) When they don't bother answering the phone ... it's time to give up trying! Pictures attached of an avocado sticker but none in the food! Been recovering from surgery for the last couple weeks & didn't feel like cooking. Grabbed 2 new coupons & got to the drive-thru just before 10:00. I didn't realize I could only use 1 coupon! So for 2 salads & 2 quesadillas, my total was OVER $30 (that's WITH a coupon - it would've been over $40 otherwise!) for 2 people!! When I got home, I emptied the bag so I could go over my receipt ... but there wasn't one! So not only was the cashier exasperated that I asked how much something was, he didn't bother giving me a receipt.
