Opinions de Novikov - Asian Restaurant London
We visited the Italian section of Noviko and had a lovely experience. We ordered the Black Truffle Mushroom pizza and the seafood grill, and both were very tasty and well prepared. The pizza had a rich truffle flavor and the seafood was fresh and nicely cooked. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is comfortable and beautifully designed, creating a relaxed atmosphere. It was slightly on the expensive side, but overall a great dining experience and worth visiting.
Went for the lunch set menu at the Italian side was very skeptical as usually set menus are always somewhat below par with choice of food, portions and taste quality, but I was proven wrong . The starter ( Salmon tartare) and my main ( Cornfed baby chicken ) were very nice and tasty my friend also enjoyed her meal. We were also treated with a complimentary bread basket. Great value for money and a glass of wine/ Prosecco is included in the price . Just didn’t enjoy my Mocktail Coco Loco I think it was ( lemon, lime and coconut ) it was waaaaaaaay too sweet.
What an amazing restaurant and experience. I feel like I could eat here everyday! We had a very large group and took the idea of ordering a little bit of everything and we were glad we did. Personally my favorites were the mini Wagyu tacos and king crab, but nearly every dish was flawless. They also have an amazing wine cellar with near endless selections curated from around the globe. It would be hard not to find something you’ll like.
This was our first time dining at Novikov, and we chose it to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The restaurant’s exterior was beautifully decorated with festive Xmas lights and decor. The door staff were courteous, respectful, and made us feel welcomed right away. As we entered, the interior decor and ambience were equally stunning. We were greeted promptly by the staff, who were friendly and efficient. Although we arrived a little early, they quickly prepared our table, took my wife’s coat, and seated us comfortably. While the dress code is listed as “smart/elegant,” we noticed a mix of attire, with some guests wearing dirty Converse lol, puffer jackets, and hoodies. Despite this, most guests were appropriately dressed, which matched the sophistication of the restaurant. I would recommend sticking to a smart, polished look to fully complement the dining experience. Our host for the evening, Kanzah/Kiki, was outstanding. She introduced herself at the start and provided flawless service throughout the night. She had an impressive knowledge of the entire menu, carefully managed my nut allergies (a note for future diners: many items on the menu contain nuts), and attended to every detail with precision. Her professionalism and attentiveness were truly remarkable. She worked like a machine all night! The rest of the staff also upheld an exceptionally high standard of service, making the entire team stand out. I would potentially even go as far as saying the best service I’ve had at any restaurant in a while. The food was absolutely impeccable. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and wonderful flavors. While the presentation was excellent for most dishes, the overall quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Overall, highly recommend it for its exceptional food, service, and ambience. It’s a fantastic choice for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience.
I was greeted and shown to our table quickly when we entered the restaurant. There was a nice vibe in there. The waiters were pleasant and knew the menu well. We ordered and didn't have to wait long to be served. The quality and presentation was fantastic. The food tasted great and we really enjoyed our meal. The only criticism would be that it was a little overpriced even if it is Mayfair. However, I would return.
Wonderful experience at Novikov Asia, plenty of halal options and the staff were so friendly. I would say the small plates are so much better than the main plates as we enjoyed them more. The sushi and dim sum definitely need to be at the top of your list. It is very busy and you need to book in advance to get a table, the aesthetics match perfectly with the theme of the place. The drinks were also very lovely!
There’s this cool spot in London’s Mayfair that mixes Italian and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant’s got two sections: Japanese right when you walk in and Italian further inside. In just a week, I ended up eating there three times—twice for Japanese and once for Italian. The Japanese side has super fresh sashimi and some fusion dishes with a Chinese twist, like roast duck and truffle mushroom rice—seriously tasty stuff. Plus, the service is awesome. Definitely worth checking out! The Italian restaurant is a culinary haven that leaves a lasting impression. Their pasta is simply unparalleled, with perfectly cooked noodles and rich sauces that hit all the right notes. The steaks are juicy and tender, cooked to perfection, offering a mouthwatering experience with every bite. And let’s not forget the seafood, a highlight of the menu, fresh and flavorful, transporting you straight to the sunny Mediterranean.
Elegant establishment! The Asian restaurant is a cool and busy place. Service was quick and professional. The food was outstanding. We got to choose our fresh seafood. We went for the lobster and the red sniper which was prepared by the chef to our liking and tasted just delicious and was full of flavour. Great food and wine menu although it was very pricey. The overall experience was amazing!
We have been to this amazing place a few times and have tried the lounge, the Italian and Asian restaurants. And all of them are amazing. There are fresh vegetables, pastas, and seafood in front of the kitchen and you can see the cooks. The calamari is one of the best I’ve had. They have a few dishes with truffle and all truffle dishes taste amazing. The service is also great. Staffs are super friendly and polite.
One of the good places to be in. The food kind of dishes are very good and delicious. Well organized from door to door reception are even kind ladies are taking the orders to your table. We re- ordered some dishes and were so good. The service is in a swift process mood. Good vibes and atmosphere so positive totally deserved the high ratings from all audience members. Keep up the good work guys.
Service has gone down, kitchen is lazy and will not even tolerate a honey allergy. Was quite disappointing. Quality and service has gone down drastically in the past few years. They charge you minimum charge of 100 pounds per person and the say they cannot serve you any food. Very bad way to trap your clients.
Lovely food and service! Sushi is great, but be specific with that you order, it can be a bit greasy. The music was super loud like in a club,we asked twice to lower the volume but they only lowered it 2 percent. That was the most annoying part. Other than the super loud ear breaking music, food and service is great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely experience.
Novikov Asian is one of my favorite restaurants in London, always offering a refined atmosphere with elegant décor that makes the dining experience feel special. The food is generally delicious, and their sushi remains outstanding with top quality and incredible taste that never disappoints. The service is excellent, with staff who are attentive, professional, and eager to make guests feel welcomed, which is one of the main reasons I always come back. This time I noticed that the quality of some dishes like the tacos and fried rice was slightly different from before, but overall the experience was still enjoyable. Novikov remains one of the best Asian dining options in London and is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine cuisine.
Very nice vibes in the place. The restaurant serves both italian and asian cuisines. I went for the asian restaurant. Sushi was really good. Recommended dishes are noodles, chicken sweet and sour and the top highlight was king prawns with the special cocktail sauce. Speacial NOVikola is recommended from mocktails menu and it has a special twist. Service was ok with minor delays in serving. Dessert was delicious, the special limited edition of chocolate cigar is highly recommended. The place is pricey but worth it
It's like at the top of what you can get in London. Been there a couple of time only but it was great. Italian food is good although I prefer a more rustic atmosphere . Asian food is equally great
Novikov Restaurant & Bar stands as one of Mayfair’s most established high-end dining destinations, combining scale, energy and international appeal in a way few venues manage successfully. Positioned just off Berkeley Street, its red-awning entrance is understated compared to what lies beneath — a multi-room restaurant concept delivering both Asian and Italian cuisine under one roof. The Asian restaurant is the more theatrical of the two spaces. Dramatic lighting, a central display of fresh seafood and a vibrant atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you step inside. The sushi and sashimi selection is precise and visually immaculate, while signature dishes such as black cod, robata-grilled meats and truffle-infused plates demonstrate confident execution. Flavours are bold yet controlled, and presentation is refined without feeling overworked. The Italian side offers a slightly calmer, more classic dining experience. Handmade pasta, quality seafood and well-sourced ingredients form the backbone of the menu. The contrast between the two concepts gives Novikov versatility — it can be a high-energy evening out or a more composed dinner setting depending on where you sit. Service operates at a professional Mayfair standard. Staff are polished, knowledgeable and efficient, although the venue’s popularity means peak evenings are lively and fast-paced. It attracts a well-dressed international crowd, including business diners, tourists and high-profile guests, contributing to its reputation as a social hotspot. Pricing firmly reflects its £100+ bracket positioning. However, the combination of scale, atmosphere and culinary consistency helps justify the premium. Novikov succeeds because it understands its audience — it is less about quiet intimacy and more about experience, presence and confidence. For those seeking dynamic luxury dining in central London, Novikov remains one of Mayfair’s most recognisable and dependable choic
Great place with a nice atmosphere! The food was good, delicious, and well-prepared. The staff was also very friendly, making the experience even better. Highly recommend!
The food and atmosphere was definitely the highlight of our evening. We were amazed by the quality of the food and would definitely go back. We did feel the service was a little lacking, but that could be chalked down to the staff already having a long evening of service.
Has to be the best place to eat in London! Super kid friendly. The menu has a lot of halal options. The best service, food doesn’t take forever to come out. Great mocktail selection. I dream about their beef tacos. Even if you are full, you have to try their desserts (the ice cream with berries is the best).
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exceptional dining experience at Novikov – Pan Asian Cuisine in London! From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the chic ambiance, the stunning interior, and the vibrant open kitchen, where chefs crafted each dish with precision. The service was flawless—attentive, knowledgeable, and ensuring every detail was perfect. The staff was happy to recommend dishes and pairings, making the experience even more enjoyable. We got fresh coconut water and my favorite drink- pomegranate ginger juice Now, onto the star of the show – the food! Every dish was an explosion of flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Here are some of the highlights from our meal: Quail eggs, wagyu beef soiders, yellow tail carpaccio, tuna carpaccio, crab leg, Besudes the other things we ordered as follows-: 🍣 Sushi & Sashimi Platter – The freshest cuts of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, delicately sliced and served with premium wasabi and soy sauce. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were just as impressive. 🐠 Miso Black Cod – A must-try signature dish! The cod was buttery soft, perfectly caramelized, and infused with rich miso flavors, melting effortlessly with every bite. 🥟 Dim Sum Selection – A delightful mix of truffle mushroom dumplings, wagyu beef gyoza, and prawn & scallop shumai—each bite was packed with fresh, well-balanced flavors. 🔥 Crispy Aromatic Duck – Served with warm pancakes, hoisin sauce, cucumber, and scallions, this dish was crispy on the outside yet incredibly tender inside. 🍜 Wagyu Beef Stir-Fry – Cooked to perfection, with tender slices of wagyu beef tossed in a fragrant garlic-soy sauce, served with seasonal greens. 🍛 Thai Green Curry with King Prawns – A rich, creamy coconut-based curry with just the right level of spice, served with fragrant jasmine rice—comfort food at its finest! 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice – A sweet ending to a perfect meal, featuring perfectly ripe mango, creamy coconut sauce, and warm glutinous rice. Everything was flawlessly executed, from the quality of the ingredients to the exquisite plating. Novikov never disappoints! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious Pan-Asian dining experience in London. Will definitely be coming back! #NovikovLondon #FineDining #PanAsianPerfection #FoodieHeaven #LuxuryDining #MisoBlackCod #SushiLovers
Wonderful experience here! The service was wonderful and accommodating. They did a small happy birthday with sparklers and accommodating dessert for my husband. The alcohol beverages were delicious alongside with the food. The environment and atmosphere was a vibe and uplifting. We sat at the Italian side, hopefully next time will get to try the sushi part! Would recommend to friends and family.
Amazing each and every time I go! We were served by Rio who is a fantastic waiter, really engaging, charismatic and has a great sense of humour. The food itself was awesome, especially the Wagyu Steak and the Dim Sum!!
Truly a high class experience. One mishap, while booking a reservations online I did not see there are bookings for Italian and Asian kitchens but you can order certain items from the other menu such as oysters. Very well trained waitstaff and service. Appropriately timed dishes. You do not feel rushed. You get your moneys worth. The drinks were very delicious. Reservations I would say are required. The limited time only cigar dessert was phenomenal as well as the presentation. The Greek salad could have used more ‘oomph’ like onions and cucumbers.
It was the first time I visited this place and was impressed. Such a beautiful restaurant. We had lunch in the Italian food area. The food was delicious. Excellent service too. Would definitely recommend this place.
The Italian restaurant is superb, the starters were amazing! The flavours were intense & rich! The Lounge downstairs is perfect for individuals who would like entertainment but in a comfortable environment with a great sound system & attentive staff, 10/10 the staff, the food & hospitality was beyond amazing!
One of the most amazing dinners I have had in London so far. Chef Luca is exceptional, combination of flavours make you dream, freshness of ingredients is notable in every dish. Professional and attentive service, vibrant atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back and also trying Italian side of the venue!
The food here is amazing ! The sushi was delicious, the best I’ve ever had in London and the black cod was incredible. We loved the Wagyu tacos too and the fun cigar dessert. The service was impeccable and Antonello made our night feel even more special. I will 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back !
🇯🇵Asian Restaurant: 🍽 Food: 5/5 🤵🏽Service 4/5 🪑Ambiance 4/5 📝Notes: Novikov is my favorite Japanese restaurant in all of London. For me they have the best food and the best service (most of the time 😅) Tonight was a bit slow as we showed up on time but had to wait almost 20 minutes to be seated. But other than that I had an amazing time. And I understand how something’s places can be packed and pressuring for the staff, so that’s why I wont drop down to 4 stars. I highly recommend the Asian restaurant 🙏🏼
Very classy restaurant, with a diverse menu, including some Halal food options
Dined in the Italian restaurant for a special birthday. Definitely not cheap and the tables were too close together but otherwise everything is perfect. Service was great, food delicious, portions generous. The candle in our desert and singing from the staff was a super nice touch too.
2nd time visiting, foods great! Experience a lot of new things, I just can’t justify the spend plus the service charge. The money bags, duck, sushi roll, black cod are the best items, if you visit you must try, the rest I honestly can’t see the price attached to them! Good experience with friends, but I can definitely suggest to you better options with better quality of food with a fraction of the price. I understand location etc plays a big part, but it doesn’t justify the cost of items in this place.
Food here is good but that’s about it, it’s certainly a dining experience and service is very good. The raw veg nibbles u get when you sit down are a nice touch! Not quite the place to have any meaningful conversation, music is pretty loud! But the restaurant is nice, great decor, really enjoy going to the back where they have a mini fresh food shop type thing going on! There is also a lounge for drinks!
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and service second to none. Staff were always on-hand, but never hovering and nothing was too much trouble. Once we ordered, food arrived promptly, was cooked to perfection and very well presented. Given it is Xmas time, there was a good buzz about the place, but it wasnt noises or intrusive. An excellent option if in the Berkely Square / Green Park area.
The customer service was better than expected. The vibe inside was not as good as expected. The food however was good. Nice texture for the tiramisu dessert. The calamari was just okay, fried rice was cooked well. The honey and lime chicken was the highlight of my evening paired with a glass of homemade sake.
The food is delicious, but the receptionist at the door not at the reception table lack of hospitality and didn’t show any effort in welcoming us. Otherwise, the waitress and other staff were great. It was crowded and we had to wait a while for our food.
Probably the best Japanese cuisine experience I've ever had. Food was exceptionally nice. Really enjoyed everything especially the sushi, mocktails, steak and desserts. Customer service was very good also, staff were very friendly and respectful. They are polite and check up on you regularly. Food is halal and meat quality is good, very delicious. The sushi tasted amazing, looked and tasted like a lot of effort was made to make these. Regarding price, it was quite pricey, our bill for 2 came out quite expensive. I'd definitely return for a special occasion only, but it is definitely worth it.
Food was exquisite, lovely atmosphere and fairly friendly staff. The wagyu tacos in particular were superb! Wish the staff were slightly more attentive to our needs, we were sat off to the side so it was slightly harder to get their attention. Overall, 4/5 stars
Dined in the Asian side of the restaurant - The restaurant decor is nice and has an intimate feel to it. The presentation of food ingredients is also nice seeing all the colours of seafood and vegetables. The staff are helpful and always wizzing around. The food was nice and the portion sizes are very much decent👍🏼 although the egg fried rice was not nice tasting. I would be interested to try the Italian side of the restaurant to see the taste of the dishes there are like.
Very loud music to the point it was hard to hear each other! Otherwise everything was really good The food was delicious, we had wagyu tacos, California roll, honey lime shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, noodles and egg fried rice And for dessert we had bread pudding and Novikov cigar which was very tasty and creamy. The staff was attentive and friendly For 4 people it was about £290
3 people for dinner on a Monday night at > £300 pp, you expect stellar service (esp as about 2/3 occupancy), and stellar food. Service was average at best although arrogant at times. It was fast though, and sommelier was very good and knowledgeable . Some of the food was well above average, some absolutely average. This place now certainly running on the fumes of its past, and having eaten here many times before with much superior service end food I can only assume an inferior change of management or new poor leadership from a novice floor manager… Shame
I recently celebrated my birthday at Novikov in Mayfair with my sister, and while the experience had its highs, there were definitely some aspects that didn't quite live up to expectations. Let's start with the positives—service. The staff at Novikov were absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The service alone truly elevated the experience and made us feel welcomed and cared for. However, when it comes to the food, I was a bit underwhelmed. I found that several dishes lacked flavor and really needed a little extra seasoning—salt in particular. It was disappointing, especially considering the reputation the restaurant holds. While the presentation was lovely, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me. In terms of value, Novikov definitely feels overpriced, likely due to its prime Mayfair location. I understand the appeal of dining in such a sought-after area, but for the price, I expected more from both the food and the overall atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, I felt that the ambiance could have been a bit livelier—while the space itself is chic and upscale, the vibe felt a bit too subdued for a celebratory occasion. Overall, while the service was remarkable, I don’t think the food or overall experience justified the steep price tag. It was a fine dining experience, but not one I’d rush to repeat.
It’s not that special… we went Novikov on Thursday at 8pm and the vibe was good. Our server was super friendly and the service was fast, as well as the starters and even main! We had the chicken tacos which I loved! The prawn money bags were 50/50, I just didn’t like the texture but the spice and flavour was perfect. We also got the California roll which was horrible…! He enjoyed his lamb chops, and I didn’t really enjoy the duck salad. The cocktail zombie was quite nice and strong. Overall the experience was nice, however I wouldn’t go back and I don’t think it’s worth it for me personally. It was also upsetting to see those live crabs in those small tanks outside.
The service was not great. Very slow and you need to ask the waiters many times to get what you need. I was expecting to have an outstanding services given there was 15% extra charges for the service. Pizza was below average. Pasta was good
Lovely restaurant with great service. We dined at the Asian restaurant. The food was nice, but overall I would say that I’ve eaten similar dishes which tasted much nicer at my local East Asian restaurant. I don’t think the food matched the price point, except for the limited edition cigar dessert.
I had two vastly different experiences at Novikov, one at the Asian and one at the Italian. The Asian side was great all around, very good food, attentive service, etc. But my experience on the Italian side was totally different. While the food was fine, the service was terrible...practically non-existent. They screwed up my reservation, telling me to wait in the bar area while the table was finishing, and after 25 minutes without anyone checking back in with me, I went back to the hostess desk, and she told me my party was already seated. Well, I was a party of one and clearly hadn't been seated. Then the server had to flagged down for drink order and for food order after lengthy waits for both. I would be fine if there was even an ounce of apology, but it was as if they didn't care. Same thing happened for dessert, and no one ever checked in to see how food was the entire dinner. Shockingly terrible service for a place like this.
I recently dined at Novikov and was disappointed by the service, despite the food being good. I ordered the Wagyu sirloin, prawn fried rice, and Chicken & Morel Siu Mai, which were all well-prepared. However, the overall experience fell short of what I expected from a high-end restaurant. Upon arrival, the door staff was welcoming to the guests in front of me, but when I approached, they were standoffish and did not greet me. At the host stand, I mentioned I had a reservation (for one person, which I booked online and confirmed over the phone), but the host seemed unaware of this and whispered to another staff member before reluctantly seating me, despite the restaurant being less than 20% full. To be fair, the waitress was polite and attentive at first, but the service dwindled as time went on—especially after the whispers from other staff. My waitress was even interrupted mid-conversation by another staff member and left to attend to another guest. No one checked in on me during the meal to ask if I was enjoying the food or needed anything else. When I finished, there was no acknowledgment as I passed several staff members on my way out, and the door staff didn’t open the door for me as I exited. For a meal totaling £159.23 for one person, I expected a much higher level of hospitality. Unfortunately, the indifferent service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.
My boyfriend and I went last night to have a late Valentine’s dinner and we had such a bad experience. The waitress “or assistant manager 😏 Bee / Pee probably using a nickname” was taking our order. The order was wrong and on top of it she was so rude. We ordered some sushi where the seaweed was so hard and chewy and the whole Gilt bream head that we ordered end up being silver bream and on the bill put as besugo. My boyfriend was paying and I just asked for the bill to check something and saw that. When we ask the waitress she said that it’s the same price 🤔So she served us silver but charged us the price of the besugo btw is not the same price. When we asked how many grams was the fish she arrogantly said 800 grams. I am a fun of fish and been pescatarian for 2 years before and I know what 800 grams fish looks like. And the cherry on top of the cake was when she told my boyfriend that “WHAT U EXPECT “ like we never been to a restaurant in Mayfair and we can’t afford, very disrespectful. In fact we just been to your Italian one few months ago and it’s a huge difference between the two of you. Such a bad experience and low quality customer service from some of the staff. Will never go again even if it’s free. Just the name not what we customers expected, extremely disappointed.
Worse experience in Mayfair ever. Horrible service with lots of mistakes from beginning to the end. The fried seafood platter was so badly done, the food didn’t feel fresh and the batter was so bad that it’s soggy. The pasta was so salty even my local restaurant can do a better job. For the price they are charging this is so disappointing! They never fill up the water and we have to chase after them. The service is sol cold and poor with little communication. We were a group of 8, it’s very difficult for us to get together for once and this is a huge let down. The decor looks cheap and boring. It felt like a canteen for the rich. Would not recommend and I would not come back even it’s free.
I’m writing this review on behalf of a friend who felt uncomfortable raising these concerns themselves. I am really disappointed in this restaurant and would not recommend to anyone I care. This was an expensive Italian restaurant in London, with prices well above what I would usually pay — £36 for a single pasta dish. Given the cost, we expected attentive, professional service. Instead, the experience was rushed, dismissive, and unwelcoming. From the outset, it was clear we were not treated like other diners. While surrounding tables were allowed to sit with the same drinks for the entire time we were there, we were hurried through our meal. The bill was brought to our table before we had even finished our drinks, which made it very clear we were expected to leave. We were also asked four separate times whether we wanted the flowers removed from the table, despite repeatedly saying no — it felt intrusive and unnecessary. The service was also noticeably biased. When the bill was presented, it was handed only to my male partner, not to me, which felt outdated and disrespectful. As for the food, it was fine — but nothing close to justifying the price. At these rates, “okay” isn’t good enough. Overall, the impression we were left with was that the staff would have preferred we weren’t there at all. For a restaurant positioning itself at this price point, the service should make all guests feel comfortable and valued. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Overall, if you are conscious of how a restaurant would perceive you - DO NOT COME HERE, they are judgemental and elitist.
