This place is amazing. The beef bun and steamed dumplings were excellent. I wish there was more seating and parking. But that has no bearing on the food or service. My only regret is that I didn't get 2 beef buns. I was only in the area to house sit for a friend. I will definitely be back!!

One of the few places that has actually gotten BETTER over time! The price is a little high but the flavors are always so rich and the ingredients are good quality. It’s become a regular spot for us now! Scallion pockets and beef buns are by far our favorites

We ordered some dumplings to get delivered and honestly they were nothing but amazing. Pork belly bun the best I've had in Los Angeles and dumplings were everything I could've wished for. Chili seaweed also top tier. Love this spot.

Have been passing by for a few months now. Came to Mason's for a quick bite for lunch, so glad I did it was delicious. Veggie bun was my favorite. Sorry ate so fast I forgot the pic ,but will definitely be back!

After having visited San Francisco several times over the last few years, I became addicted to dim sum, but on returning home it's clear that there's a serious shortage of dim sum in certain parts of L.A. Fortunately Mason's in Highland Park has got you covered. Their vegan dumplings are savory and filling, while the veggie "chicken" and "beef" rice bowls don't leave you missing real meat. The best compliment I can give is that I want to try them again soon. the front counter woman was also very nice and helpful, and they also have a healthy choice of beverage, from soft drinks to sparkling waters and hispanic fruit sodas. Recommended for dim sum fans and vegetarians/vegans.

My go-to restaurant when I’m in LA. I found out about Mason’s on DoorDash a couple years ago and it’s weaved it’s way into my taste bud’s heart! Vegan Chicken Bowl is my favorite and I almost get the dumplings too. Really tasty, quality food.

It's a bit on the small side, but the food is perfect, and we always get a jar of their chili oil for the road.

The dumplings are amazing. They have a very traditional taste. They also have modern dumplings takes. The soup dumpling is very juicy, Make sure not to pop them before you put them in your mouth. The shrimp and pork dumpling is delicious. The servers are very nice and there's quite a bit of room indoor seating. Parking is a little difficult but most people live around the area. The price of the food is all right.

Large portions shared it with a group of 3. Very yummy fresh and makes you feel good inside. Also we ate so fast i forgot the beginning picture it was very well put together and yummy.

How Mr. Mason achieves that silky‑soft texture is beyond me, but I’m so grateful he does. If you’re looking for a hearty, flavor‑packed meal that keeps you coming back, this is the one. Don’t miss it!

Modest, clean, small and superb dumplings. I ordered the 8 piece steamed vegetarian dumplings. Delicate and thin rice shells with a finely chopped and savory mixture of veggies. The soy/vinegar sauce provided the perfect balance. I would go back to try other dishes as well.

Plus tax and then tip on top (not included in $26) highly recommend this place. Delicious !!

Great place! Loved the food for the price. There is parking, which is nice. They run out of food quickly on the weekends, so get in early! The kiddo love it too. Definitely going back.

Amazing vegan options. The teriyaki vegan beef and rice bowl was delicious and so flavorful- and the vegan dumplings were clearly handmade and tasted amazing.

The dumplings are definitely delicious at this spot. Each set of 8-10 will tend to run you $9.

Clean and yummy, soft crab soup dumplings are a little too fishy.

The sides are the highlight at this place, loved every one of them. The pan fried dumplings were dimensionless, just tasted like doughy burnt gristle. The soup dumplings were actually good. I could eat road kill with the black vinegar and ginger though. Get a damned dishwasher. Serving people in paper boxes is nauseatingly anti-environment. SF wouldn't even let them do it, but LA does.

The food was VERY delicious! I can't recommend the stewed beef over rice enough, that dish is AMAZING! The gentleman who took our order also let us know about their anniversary promotion, which resulted in a discount that was enough to make our drink free and still took a little bit off of our bill. I would've given a full 5 stars if it wasn't for the show speed of the food run. They were fulfilling a very large phone in or online order, and I think this slowed down the kitchen so much that of the 2 dishes we ordered, we didn't receive any of our food until about 30 minutes after we ordered, which was only 1 of the 2 dishes. The 2nd came out about another 20 minutes after that. All in all, I would definitely come back.

This place is great. I've gone a couple times now and each time has been just as delicious. It's easy to tell that the dumplings are made on the spot because they are always hot. It can get a little pricey depending on how many things you order but it hasn't stopped me from returning.

We had the pork xlb, pork/chive steamed dumpling, beef/onion/cheese pan fried dumpling, bok choy, and green onion pancake. Our unexpected favorite was the pan fried dumplings. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I felt that I was paying DTF prices...for food that tasted good but not of similar quality. Most of my xlb skin broke before i can eat it. Order at the counter. Food served in to go containers, which was convenient if you have leftovers. You do have to clean up after yourself.

The food just pops up with flavor, literally - especially when they're hot, the soup just pops in your mouth. Highly enjoyable food and staff, but the price is well - pricey though. But still recommend

Girl in the front with glasses could have been a bit more helpful but luckily the other server helped us out to make sure we got the order right. If it's your first time here or never had dumplings before this is a good spot to get yourself acquainted. The menu is straightforward, simple and easy to order. Will definitely go again.

The boiled leak dumplings were a bit salty for me, but they were not bad. Clean, affordable, and tasty. Frankly, I was getting tired of Din Tai Fung, so this place was a great alternative, like Dan Noodles.

I’m sad about this. I love dumplings and Mason’s is usually great. Both of the orders of fried dumplings I ordered today for carry-out were burnt and tasted bitter. I’m disappointed.

Cute spot. Vegan dumplings are not it. Super bland. Vegetarian rice bowl was pretty good, but the vegan meat was pretty dry. Bf got the pork buns, and they were also under seasoned and dry. Seaweed salad was delicious though!

I don’t under understand these reviews.. soup dumplings are overcooked and salty, vegan options had no favoring… and $15 for dumplings is crazy to me. Id consider this as unauthentic.. wouldn’t come back. $50 for three items insane to me not even din tai fung isn’t that expensive…

Surprised at all the positive reviews for this place. First time I went and the soup dumplings were way undercooked, both inside and out. Outside was especially super doughy and not good at all. Figured I would try it again, and while better than the first time, it still wasn't that great unfortunately. Wanted to really like this place.

Food was pretty good, but very odd atmosphere and all the food was served in take out containers - which is disappointing from an environmental and service perspective. Pretty pricey for the lack of quality service and experience. Food was also pretty oily. You’re better off going to Dan modern or Din Tai.

You guys need to check on your Aurora, CO location. That place is absolutely disgusting. "Mason" should be embarrassed that this is his namesake. It's so bad that I don't think you'll ever notice which is why I'm writing a review here.
