I like this place.

For a good small town bar and grill Dan’s is hard to beat. The Philly Cheese Steak with Queso is hard to beat.

While running from hail and tornados in Rio Vista, my wife and I stumbled upon Ramblin’ Dan’s. Dylan (at least what receipt showed) was awesome. He suggested the chicken tenders (10/10) and the cheese steak (also 10/10). Hand battered and fried to golden perfection. He was right, best ones I’ve had in Texas. Cheese steak was also on par with the better one we’ve had while living here. Overall, great food and great place to hide from the ‘naders and baseball size hail. Will make the trip again, hopefully in better conditions. (No pictures this time, was starving).

Come check out V the clown 🤡 Every Wednesday night for bingo, she dresses up in a clown costume with makeup. She serves free drinks The food is great. She goes around the bar and makes people laugh. She's the best clown entertainment in town.

Cheap drinks good catfish and coleslaw. Alot of beer options. Quick service and local homebody kinda bar. 2 pool tables. A juke box and a patio in the back.

Rambling dans is a great hang out place and a place to get lunch! They have pool tournaments on Thursday night and have live bands play! The prices are reasonable and the drinks are always cold!

We’re traveling, pulling a travel trailer, off the beaten path. Along the way, when looking for places to stop for a bite, access is key. For this particular establishment, called in a “carry out” order AND it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! First indication was in for a juicy, flavorful burger, was the amount of napkins provided! If we’re ever in the area again, a definite stop & DINE IN meal will be on my list. The atmosphere, although we made a brief stop, was inviting and clean.

Steak strips and French fries with gravy and toast. Food was hot and crispy, well seasoned and didn't take long. That gravy is dang near as good as what I make at home!

We went for an after adoption luncheon with close to 20 people. There was only the 1 waitress at the time, but she knocked it out of the park. The food is excellent. You must check them out.

I live in North Carolina and was just passing through and I am glad I decided to eat supper here. This was the best burger I've ever eaten and the waitress was very nice and friendly.

My dad (Ronnie Sawyers) was the owner of this Bar and Grill for many years. I spent most of my growing up years right here. It was an awesome feeling to be able to come back here to visit. It brought back so many years of memories. I watched this place evolve from a small town bar to a thriving bar and grill. These guys have done an awesome job bringing everything up to date. From the big T.V. screens,pool tables, outdoor deck area and much more. This is definitely a place you don't want to miss in Meridian Texas. Great customer service and positive vibes. Thank yall! 😊💕

There wasn’t a kids menu but they shared a huge plate of chicken strips and the pizza bread appetizer. I would 100% recommend this place. Everyone’s food was amazing! Rambler burger, best I’ve ever had, gravy best I’ve ever had, au jus sauce simply amazing. I personally had the chicken fried steak sandwich and it was again the best I ever had. Perfect breading. Oh and their fries are amazing as well. Our server was super friendly and so very helpful. When they say dog friendly they aren’t kidding. My son-in-law brought 2 Great Danes and they were very well taken care of by the staff. Out of 10 stars I’m giving the a 20. Just uhhhhh. I wanna go back now.

Our waitress was very friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and the margaritas were very good. The fries were a little salty (would have been 5 stars.)

First time was amazing. Past two times food wait was long. As they are working on their staffing, we still continue to visit as they improve.

It's a bar, so the atmosphere is just ok. The food is awesome, the best fish and chips I've had in a while. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and he took really good care of us.

Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. Burger could have been juicer and the mushrooms and onions were burnt. I ate it because I was hungry and taking off the cheese with the mushrooms and onions. Will try them again because it just may have been a fluke for my first time ordering from here. 07/09/24

This place has class when it comes to displaying food but the taste is that of an amateur chef maybe a student but overall it was ok. I just wouldn't order the flat iron steak anymore. Guacamole was bland and the salmon was bland.If you're into bland this is the place for you.

I'd give it a 0 stars. Waitresses were rude and disrespectful. How can you close the griddle but still serve fried food. Really need to learn to run a restaurant. Kitchen closes at the sa.e time. Maybe if you'd come check your tables you'd see we were still waiting to order!!

Didn’t get a chance to rate the food. place was busy, the one waitress never acknowledged we were there. no menu no service. After waiting around for a while , we went down town to eat. if you have time to kill and are not very hungry, go and watch other people drink.

Can't really give any stars. I never been there before. This place did not give clear hours of operation for the kitchen. Came in and seated ourselves because noone greeted us. When a waitress did show up she handed us menus and walked away. Never even got her name. When we were finally waited on 35 minutes later we were told that the kitchen was closing and that we could only order fried foods and nothing from the grill. In my experience if the kitchen is closing, it is closing no exceptions. However, when we were brought the menus we weren't told the kitchen was getting ready to close. Therefore my heart was set on a burger. Then another server from the bar came to our table and got very rude with my ol' man. I will not be going back. Service was horrible.
