Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. My favorite to be precise. I can it at any time of day , that being said I know good breakfast. The breakfast buffet was hot , fresh and clean. I got double for what I paid for and the restaurant seemed very nicely maitined for its age. It's my first time here , but it won't be my last I'll be back soon along with friends and family and recommend this place to other , GREAT SERVICE.
The staff was really nice and respectful ..mother Teresa was very kind and sweet had great customer service as well as the white man wit the gold teeth 5 stars the chicken was amazing
Food was delicious. Double chicken fried steak with brown gravy, mash potatoes and green beans. Can't go wrong. Always missing the breakfast buffet but I won't miss it next time.
Asst manager Norma and her crew on Sat. Jul-30-22 was awesome. Food was on point fresh and hot 🔥. They were ALL very courteous and friendly, thanks guys for a delicious lunch..

How come nobody told me about their catfish platter plates?! I don't even like everyone's fried fish, but theirs was shockingly delicious!! There was about an 8 minute wait, but it was worth it. Seasoned well and very hot. Establishment looked clean.

I wanted a country fried steak dinner tonight and I usually have to order from one of the big name restaurants, only the whole experience is usually awful, overpriced and they always forget a menu item. So I was totally surprised when I saw that Grandys had it on the menu. I figured I might as well give it a try. OMG! The whole meal was wonderful, including the giant Sinnamon Roll and the fluffy dinner rolls. I am giving them 5 stars because they exceeded my expectations. The quality of the food was perfect and I love how they didn't forget any menu items. and it was cheaper than the other guys. I will definitely order from them again!
One of the last original Grandy's restaurants still open in Dallas. The original menu items are still awesome and our family's favorite. Great location close to the highway. Staff was friendly and served our meals promptly. The inside eating area was clean and still open for customers. The drive through is also open. We hope this location stays open for a long time.

In Dallas for the weekend and passed by and just had to stop in for dinner. Everything was fantastic, fresh hot food and rolls, super friendly staff, and a very clean restaurant. Haven’t eaten at one since they left the Houston market many years ago and it was exactly as I remember! Will be making Grandy’s roadtrips in the near future!

Haven't had any of Grandys chicken in a long time, we got a family dinner pack, 1/2 dozen cinnamon rolls to go. They were low on some pieces of chicken, and we gladly waited for the fresh chicken to come up. I enjoyed visiting with the ladies about Grandys from years ago when I was a general manager in Clear Lake, Texas. We shared a bunch of stories about before and after the changes made to cut cost. The Chicken was fresh and on point, the dinner rolls were good as were the cinnamon rolls, But honestly not as good as they used to be when we made them fresh daily in the stores. Still a very positive experience and I recommend to this location strongly if your in the Town East area of Dallas and wanting some good home style cooking, go visit this store, go inside not the drive thru, place your order and enjoy your nice visit with ladies working inside.
I just recently visited the store with my son. My son got a four piece chicken nugget with fries and a cinnamon roll. On the other hand, I got a double chicken fried chicken with macaroni and okra. I got the white gravy on top with a cherry cobbler. I spent $20 on a semi homade lunch rather than going to a regular fast food place. Homecooked is always a win for me and this def taste is somewhat like a home cooked lunch. I really enjoyed and we will be back.
I used to stop here dor breakfast most mornings. My office moved and I havent been in for approx 2 years. Went last week and 2 of the 3 employees were still there! Both of them are real sweethearts so I was happy. They have had a remodel and looks much better than it used to. Oh and the dood was good also!
My husband & I ordered breakfast at the drive thru. They were out of hash browns but I got a pancake & my hubby got an extra biscuit for substitutions. Our meals were yummy & the lady at the drive thru was efficient at her job. :)
Food here is really good. Loved the customer service. The only thing I knock is the ambiance is very weird right now with the tables and stuff. Also I think they need more work on cleaning. The floors are always sticky and they need fly traps or something. I always see a fly when I'm in there.
We went to get food, asked for 2 double steak and 2 piece dark meat. Was told there was no dark meat again and when I got one of the double steak with gravy I had so much gravy it was barely visible for the mashed potatoes and the steak was smothered in it...also we asked for extra side of Fried Okra and when we got home and opened one container we thought it would be fore, it was instead the 2nd piece of white meat fried chicken, meaning we paid for Okra and didn't get it. This location is going downhill in customer service and food quality over the past couple of years. Now we are going to go to the Beach Springs location as that's the only other location nearby due to poor food quality and service we receive from this location.
This place is great. The food is really good and fresh, and the place is clean. The customer service here is outstanding friendly and helpful, and they keep making sure the buffet is stacked. The bathroom here is a clean and friendly for babies, and there is parking for handicap real close to the doorway. They recognize that I was a veteran and they automatically gave me a 10% discount. I love this place.
My family and I went on Sunday the last day of Tax free weekend. It was a little after 3 pm seems like a lil rush hour. Everyone was working doing their job while the supervisor was sitting down eating lunch . Supervisor got up and was rude in front of customers she assaulted a coworker that was working diligently to make sure we all got our food in a timely manner.
I went on Saturday and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. The breakfast bar cost more than what it was worth; the selection wasn't big. I have been to another Grady's before, in contrast, this one was 'okay'. However, the cashier was nice.
I used to drive 10 are more miles just to get a dozen of Grandy,s dinner roll, and they were worth it. But now, after so many months of not going to Grandy's, I now see why it is gone down. My dinner roll was cold, not fresh, just sitting in a closed door with lots of others drying up. And you get only 1 dinner roll, and any more, you have to pay all most a dollar for an unfresh,dinner roll . A person would walk around asking, asking customers do they need another one that just came out of the oven hot and smelling good. But now the food is just laying around until a customer comes in and buy. I hate to see Grandy's go down like that when you used to see it not able to get in Grandy's because of the customers
This was my first time back in a few years and I must say the food was lackluster at best. The brown gravy was delicious and the chicken was okay but the beans and Mac n cheese tasted like it came straight from a box or a can. It didn't taste down homey or like it was seasoned.
No one looks like they were happy to be there. The food was really dry. The chicken looked like it was been sitting out overnight. I was bragging about my kids. How good this place was because we were from out of town and they thought it was trash. They thought the atmosphere was trash. It just wasn't good. It wasn't like it used to be for sure
Sunday December 6th. I do not see my receipt but it's 4:34 pm . Within a hour I went to Grandys here in mesquite. Service was good. As I ordered the 6 piece Nugget meal. Greeting as I entered. With a cute little girl in her Sunday outfit which was a paid Christmas dress. Sides mash potatoes with brown gravy. And corn. At first I noticed a young lady with braids. Put gloves on. Wonderful. She handled the food. Then I noticed the cashier preparing my food. No gloves. Then the young lady takes her gloves off. Then the gentleman come from the back with no gloves on with corn pot In his hand saying that corn wasn't right. Something about the butter. Still no gloves from no one. I received my food. The corn was fine. The mashed potatoes tasted burnt. The nuggets where juicy but bland. The honey mustard sauce was good. The roll was good.
It's okay. I love the single steak meal, white gravy and baked beans. Been eating that for years. The problem with this location is navigation. It takes and act of Congress just to get to the place. Secondly, the customer service depends on the time you arrive. Early mornings has the best service, late nights and weekends are worse.
I just left there I ordered 2 double country fried steak dinners with double mashed potatoes 6 extra rolls and the steak is to hard over cooked the rest of the food was good
Only 2 stars because their breakfast taste good sometimes. I had a bone in my chicken fried chicken and their largest orange juice is small (town east location in mesquite only) but other locations have large sizes. The employees look sad. I no longer eat here. I started eating here when I was a young child now I'm in my 30s and can't stand them anymore. Bad quality!
The place needs a good cleaning. Or upgraded as in all new booths and tile in floors and walls.
So disappointing. Stopped in this location for Sunday Breakfast buffet. Paid 20 some dollars for two only to find the buffet had no meat, eggs, or potatoes. People standing around behind the counter until someone said they were out of everything! It took over 10 minutes to get eggs, bacon, and potatoes back on the buffet. If you are going to have a buffet, you should have someone watching to see when items get low.
I do not reccomend this place at all. It was dirty and the food was very low quality. I saw two employees while I was there and only one of them was polite and professional. I won't be back.
So where do I start l. So one day I was already in a bad mood but I decided to go to Grandys and get food for my family (because we all Love Grandys) so I go through the drive-thru and I was told "Oh we don't have chicken today" that floored me but no apologies or suggestions for possibly something different, but alas nothing so I had to go through Chicken Express and Taco Casa because not everyone here likes Chicken Express so I ended up spending more money than I wanted to...fast forward to March 7th I went to Kroger's and decided while I was out I was going to buy my brother in law breakfast and something for my sister that I was going to take it to her job. So the website states they were open at 6am but it was around 7:30ish and I pulled in the drive thru and when I was asked could they help me I started giving the young lady my order just to hear her say I'm Sorry but we're closed because we don't have a manager and then it went dead silent. So I had to go to Denny's and again paid more money than I normally would not have spent. This Grandys service unfortunately has not been the same and I had gone downhill and that's ashame because I love their baked beans and the rolls if their hot. Thanks and hopefully this location will go back to being Awesome and on point with their food and customer service. Thanks
The outside appearance of this location is unappealing. This (and other locations) can seriously use at least a basic paint job, fresh flowers, layer of new pavement. Grandys chain overall needs a revamp. As for this location, the customer service has been satisfactory with my visits. The food however, has SIGNIFICANTLY declined. Whenever there is an issue, they correct it. My chicken nuggets have been rubbery, chicken fried steak completely dissolved upon frying, gummy mac and cheese. I think the main source of concern is corporate being complacent with the outdated look and menu. Wouldn't recommend simply because the problem lies with corporate not with the staff: IMO.
Grandy's , in the 8O's , Grandy's was good , but , something changed , i don't know if it was The Ownership , The Quality Of The Food , or both !! But now , you get better food at Devil's Bowl Speedway Concession Stands , No Lie ; , Grandy's is trying to compete with "" Rosa's Cafe , Raising Caine's , Jersey Mike's , Jason's Deli , and Mcalisters Deli "" , it just ain't going to happen , The Food Tastes Old Or Something , Perhaps Poorly Prepared , The Dining Area Isn't Very Clean , nor Are The Restrooms , and , The Customer Service Is Pretty Bad !! Grandy's Need's A Face Lift not only in The Deco , but , Also The Employees , It Is just A 1OO % Disaster , Sorry Folks , That Is My Unbiased Opinion, Just Beware , and Truthfully, You Could Get A Better Meal At La Michoacana Taqueria Meat Market !!
Grandy's is one of my all time favorite restaurants! I brought a coworker to this chain. Keep in mind I've never been to this one before. My chicken fried steak tasted funny and my coworker's chicken didn't taste good either. I was a little embarrassed because she's new to Texas and I told her that she HAD to eat here. We both only took 2 or 3 bites and was done. I ended up buying her a burger across the street and told her I was sorry. The sweet tea was still good, though.
Got here at 7:30, looked like they was closed. I asked the lady if they are open she said yes. So I ordered a 2 piece, she said that’s all we have is 2 pieces left, didn’t have anything. Just close if you are not going to cook anything else
Stopped in for breakfast. All of the food is already cooked and sitting in warmers. No one is cutting potatoes to make hash browns. Cheap, deep fried patty. I got one scoop of eggs. Literally used an ice cream scooper to get my eggs out of a pan. This location is run down. Ownership has not spent a penny on the interior in the last ten years. Men's urinal didn't work either. No thank you.
Staff was less than courteous, not so much as a half smile. After waiting in the drive thru for over 15 minutes (with nothing said) we got the food and left. Opened the bag and there was gravy everywhere. Will not be returning to this location.
This has been a rightful reminder to why eating out is very overrated. I ordered form here and the old school woman told us to pull to the first door just to wait an adituonal 10 min. I went in there and the woman had an attitude as if she didnt choose the job she works, bottom line i normaly don't review but i have lately welcome to the new world order.
I had breakfast here. I ordered French toast, eggs, & bacon it was served with a coffee & a glass of water. The bacon was overcooked and greasy, the eggs were tasteless & I'm quite sure they were not shelled eggs. The French toast was deep fried greasy and just gross. It was the frozen kind you buy at your local grocery store. The coffee was weak, I only enjoyed the water and the politeness of the staff. Will I return? Perhaps for lunch / Dinner, not breakfast.
I ordered chicken fried steak , double mashed potatoes and brown gravy on the side, another chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green,and Al-carte chicken breast and 2 order of funnel cake sticks,.. Got all the way home to Heartland Texas and guess what no chicken breast and 1 ordered of funnel cake stick.. The chicken breast was $3.19 for 1 and yes I want my chicken and my other ordered of funnel cake sticks. I can't call the store cause nobody answered and I been calling since 4:45 and it's 5:24 now.. 😡😠.
I purchased 2 meals to go from this location this week. When I got home the green beans I paid for were not in my bag. I Immediately called the manager and told him I would come by another day to get a refund for the vegetable I didn't receive. When I went to get my refund the same manger on the phone his register wouldn't allow him to give a refund. WTH.... Won't be going to this location again. Horrible customer service.
Tried to get food from here. Literally no one in the drive through line besides me at 3 pm on a Saturday. No one was there to respond. These service staff are absolutely useless in this location
I made the mistake of coming here. We’ve sat in the drive-thru for 40 minutes and counting (Only 3 cars) I called to see if everything was ok, the manager said they were short staffed. This is definitely unacceptable. Terrible experience. I wish I could give 0 stars!
Service was bad. Drive thru took about 15 minutes . By the time my son age 5 recueved his food it was to late..he didnt want it. Waisted a whole meal and the soda that we revlcieve ed tasted horrible. I told them what a long wait for fast food and I didnt even recieve a apology. We work hard just like you okay. At least very grateful you have a job and thank god. Treat others how you want to be treated . By the way my son has autism and you dont know the struggle it is to feed our kids . So to know he didnt want to try it after that long wait when there was no other cars in front or behind us. This was tonight at 9ish.
Came here for breakfast. It was disgusting. My scrambled egg were wet. My son had a hair in his biscuits and gravy. My husband who eats absolutely anything even said it was gross. Do not recommend
went to this location no other cars were there on a sunday afternoon, that alone made me almost keep going. I should have followed my first mind. I ordered country fried steak dinner mashed potatoes and baked beans I kept smelling something burned, got home to a hard roll burned baked beans and no eating utensils. It was trash, which is were it had to go $9.50 wasted I'll never go there AGAIN!!!
Poor attitude it’s an inconvenience for them to take my order. You’re bothering them for even stoping by. Let go of the whole shift and rebuild this store back up and hire people who want to work then I think this location Would be great get rid of the negativity
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! Came to this Grandy's location the other night and ordered a chicken fried chicken Meal and a 10-piece chicken nugget meal, it was about an hour before close. After getting home & settled 30 mins later I was annoyed to discover that there was no chicken fried chicken AT all on the plate! The mashed potatoes were lumpy & the chicken nuggets tasted like they had been sitting under the heating lamp for hours. I called back & talked to Cece & she said it would be taken care of. Went by the next morning & they would not refund me because they say since it wasn't the same day. Even though they were closing the night before & I wouldn't have had time to make it back. The GM was horribly rude & hung up on me. These SCAMMERS kept my money & the food that I returned.. No food, no refund. I will be reporting to the FTC. ALSO have pics which I'm sure would be a health code violations. Foods openly exposed & fungus growth inside the restaurant. Ridiculous!
They should close this place again. They did not have orange juice in a breakfast place, the fruit was not at all fresh highlighting that the grapes were not washed but all full of dirt. the pancakes were never hot. the butter was damaged. definitely my family and I will not return to this place
I got food poisoning from this location. This location always gave me colder chicken nuggets but last time I went my daughter and I both got food poisoning. i lost a day or work. I was so sick I couldn’t even make it to the parking garage at work. It was bad. I was in bed for over a day. Ugh, just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt and legs hurt. Be wary of this location. They are sloppy and slow. Grandys is not what it used to be.
Ordered chicken fried chicken and it was inedible. It cut and chewed like gristle. I ordered this late one evening and waited until the next day (a 30 minute drive) to return it for a refund. The server was respectful and polite— the Manager, on the other hand, was defensive and refused my reimbursement due to next-day return. I waited 5 to 10 minutes at the window for her to address this matter and then another 10 minutes while she contacted “Corporate”. She informed me that she would have to “file” a report for “consideration”. — all over $6.89 — the BBB has it’s hands full!
Had received a very small portion and the macaroni was more cheese and very very few to none noodles ***UPDATE*** I recently went to this location when I ordered I pulled up to the window where a young guy took my payment and handed me one drink then walked away from the window. He beginning to make another drink then I see him walk out the restaurant. We waited for a while and see two people finally come from back and begin fixing food then after seeing us irritated and notice that we all been sitting for a while came to the window to ask if we received our order. I let them know that we haven't which she apologizes and told us he just left out and didn't tell anyone so she handed us a bag and second drink. My mom begin eating and notice hair in food which I called restaurant and everything no assistance so sent an email but still no response as of today and that was about a week ago.

My friend went to this store a few days ago.. and we ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy… and 2 shades… that night.. I ran to the bathroom and haven’t stopped running yet… I think we may have a stomach bug from this place.. food may be expired idk.. … all behind this food.. and my stomach is continuously boiling.. please don’t eat here…
Waited in line for 20 minutes before we got to the speaker to order and the worker asks if we can wait a minute. She never comes back on the speaker and after several minutes we say “hello” to which the worker just says “Grandys”. We try to order nuggets and dark meat chicken and they had neither. We say never mind and drive on through the drive through to leave and see that there were no cars ahead of us and they had left us sitting at the speaker and were not helping anyone and we’re letting a line build up around the building. So sad since I loved this place as a kid.

The service in the drive through is super slow. I'm looking at the employee preparing the meals in the takeout containers, and she is moving like a super slow snail. We waited over 15 minutes for our food.
1-4-2024 1:15 pm TODAY Grandys at this location has to do better! I sat at drive thru to order 10-15 mins before anyone acknowledged I was there, I said hello 2 times then blew the horn… instead of the worker Acknowledging me, she gets on the intercom and STATES NO SENSE IN BLOWONG IM WORKING BY MYSELF AND DOING the best I can which is understandable, but at least say welcome to Grandys give me a moment or something! This place is always slow, and she was still trying to get the cars ahead of me order correct I end of leaving and another car that was in front of me please hire fast pace workers at this place we don’t have many Grandys and one of my favorite places ! You lose business for sure do to the slow workers and not help
If I can give this place a zero, I would only thing that was actually good was the mashed potatoes in the white gravy the rolls was nasty as hell taste like they just been sitting up the country fried steak, didn't taste, right. After I took three bites, I threw everything up. Omg they need to close this place down.
This place or food is not that bad, depends on time of day you go. It is ALWAYS empty and hardly a line in the drive thru. BUT how is there no line and still take 20 minutes to get an order out. I could of waited in a longer line somewhere else and been faster
Took them 25 mins to get our food, then when the lady brought it out to us she slammed the trays on the table! The chicken was hot but was not no where near done, the rolls were cold and had a sour taste, mac n chesse was cold, corn was cold and my daughters was the same and her mashed potatoes looked awful and had a brownish color instead of white, my 7yr old son never complains about any of his food but this time he pushed it away and said it was too nasty tasting and refused to eat! We ask for ranch and bbq and they were rude and didn't want to give us any. If I could I would give no stars, thats how bad it was. Here is some tenders!

Me and my husband were eating lunch and a Hispanic woman with blonde hair got A phone call and discussed the hours of the workers that were working there for everybody could hear the conversation on speakerphone. not only is version of privacy. I find it very inappropriate to do, especially in front of customers.
Not very friendly and food didn’t taste very good at all. Lady working had her baby on the counter in her baby carrier playing with the baby. I sat and watched my food sit in the window for a good 8 to 10 minutes finally after I honked horn she stopped playing with baby to get me my order. This use to be the best GRANDYS NOW I ONLY GET DISAPPOINTED.
The food is disgusting the floor sticky bathroom disgusting as well and toilet nearly overflowed and literally saw a bug exterminator moving around the kitchen
I was a manager at Grandys 26 years ago in EL Paso Tx always made sure my customers got fresh food place looked clean and employees had good customer service got excited when I saw a Grandys in Dallas Tx but how things have changed place looks filthy inside and out girl taking our order seemed frustrated and felt rushed the food was what got me now I understand why Grandys is always dead fried chicken and chicken nuggets was not fresh looked liked it’s been sitting there for I don’t know how long no flavor dinner rolls taste like yeast not the dinners rolls we served backed then I am very disappointed spend almost $50 and most of it ended up in the trash what surprises me even more is the reviews and pics that customers post and management does nothing to fix the situation it’s a shame..
Customer service was the worst! Iv been coming to the grandys for 27 years and never have I been disappointed till now! The employee just didn't want to do his job, was told of I wanted chicken nuggets it would be 30 min so I said that was okay I would wait, then the worker got an attitude and said we'll it'll be an hour if your gonna wait and said he didn't feel like it.... he was very rude about and and the attitude in his voice l, I can see why this place no longer has any business. Not to mention we tried to go into eat and they had closed and locked. For reference it's lunch time not like it's late or anythin.

Waiting on line for 15 mins since the 2 employees started yelling at each other and bowing up fixing to fight. All the customers are shocked at what they are witnessing. They are not being respectful of all the customers standing in line....never seen such a display of poor poor customer service..
Went through drive thru for dinner. I was the only one in line. They didn't have what I wanted so I picked somthing else. I paid and sat waiting till a significant line formed behind me. Someone behind me asked if I could move so they could get out of line cause we were there that long. I would have left if I hadn't already paid. I had to eventually go in for my order the inside was dirty. I got home the chichen was cold and wet.
Went through the drive-thru....nuggets and fries is all I ordered. Mrs. Adonnica the manager on duty took my order. Failed to mention it was going to take forever. I pull to the windows the male takes my money. Still no mention....you know you're waiting a while when you put your car in park. Then the guy comes to the window and says pull to the front. I asked if he was sure cause I've already BEEN waiting. He said it would be about 5 minutes. I pull the front give them 10. I see my nuggets. It's not even 8:30pm and they have the doors locked. So I knocked on the window and asked what's the hold up. Lady comes to the door and say we're waiting on fries. Fries??? I could have sworn chicken takes longer than fries....what did you give the last of the fries to the one car thay was behind me? I asked for a refund and told them....all that time waiting I could have gone to dine in only restaurant. I understand nuggets but why don't you have fries ready? And the whole time you have one guy on break in the lobby. Probably the real cook cause the one back there needs some assistance. 3 working in the front constantly starring at the monitor with all the orders like they really moving some cars along. I guess I'm expecting too much. No customer service. No sorry. No offer to make it right. Over 20 minutes to end up with 0 food.
Found long strands of hair in my food. I've always experienced issues at this Grandys. Guess it's time for me to find another location.
Horrible experience. Lobby was closed. Order was prepared wrong with wrong items, the gravy was omitted entirely (never mind wrong option). Military discount (which Grandy’s regularly gives) not applied. Unwilling and unable to provide refunds as I was informed there was no manager at the store. Male staff member who made himself in charge was extremely rude and unprofessional to deal. Website doesn’t function properly making it impossible to provide feedback or get someone to follow back. Running out of Grandy’s to go to. Maybe they need to go bankrupt and call it a day.
On 11/08 23 around 12:50 pm. I was the only one inside waiting to order for 4 minutes or longer. Two more customers came in. That's when my order was taken. Then the worker took their order. After taken all three orders. She began to fix them. The two people who order after me received their order. My order was to go. Their orders was dine in. I asked her nicely do dine in orders take priority over take out. She said no. I then asked why did they get their order before I did and she said (waiting on the chicken fried steak to come up) I then smiled and said they ordered the same as I did. Knowing that she knew what they orderd. She said have a nice day. I responded I will and will be contacting corporate.
Lazy people work here. Its 8:40pm. Drove through for the catfish meal, never fails. They said they were out of catfish then another guy comes on the speaker stating the fryer takes too long to heat up. 👁make your mind which is it? 👁 They close at 10pm. They have plenty of time to work in their hours. LAZeeyyy...
I don't come often for breakfast, but today I was very disappointed. I ordered the Morning classic breakfast. They served a small steak patty, which is not the size on their menu. I ordered a coffee and OJ, only for them to say we don't have coffee. How do you not have hot coffee ,it's chilly out today! I asked if it just wasent made. The kid said no we just dont have coffee today! Im like wow, this service is bad today ! Older employees here had better service before . I hope you all can do better, or just shut the place down.
The young lady swiped my Bank of America card in the drive through, and said that it did not go through (10/16); they were having issues. Then the manager came, and I gave her my Capital One card because it was something weird about the 1st swipe, and I did not want issues with my bank card. She went to the front counter and swiped it, and it went through. Both of the charges came out for $25.61 totalling $51.22. I was able to go inside the store on 10/24 the same manager and I went through the card payment sheets. In addition, I pulled up both charges so that she could see that I was charged twice! We saw the Capital One charge, but not the Bank of America charge. She called another manager, took my number down, and said she was going to call me later that day. I never heard back from her.
I used to come here a lot grown up was always good food great staff clean restaurant times are changed. I just left from getting the scrambled egg breakfast and boy was disappointed. The staff saw me come in immediately said hello but I ended up waiting five minutes for them to actually take my order since they were busy doing other things. The steak was old and cold The biscuit was in the warmer and was barely look warm. The gravy wasn’t even hot and eggs tasted Bad. And What upset me the most was I was taking this to go eat at work and couldn’t take it back or I would have all I eat was the eggs and biscuit waste of money waste of time. The gentleman serving My food didn’t even bother to check the food to see if the quality was good nine dollars down the drain now I can see why they are closing locations and rarely have a look busy. I will not be returning. There’s too many options out there to have to settle for bad service and bad food.
This restaurant seriously needs to reevaluate its operations. The food was simply terrible. We were the only customers there on a Saturday around 2 PM, yet everything we ordered tasted old and dry. I snapped a picture of the cinnamon rolls — they looked and tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Honestly, they could have been a week old and I would have believed it. Every single dish we tried was disappointing. Needless to say, I will never be returning.
We're visiting the DFW and from an area where there's no Grandy's so naturally when we see one, we'll stop to eat at that location. This has to be by far the worse location we've ever eaten at. Walking in at 7:45pm the 3 employees in the front almost looked at us like, "why did you choose here to eat"!! We walked up to the counter and weren't greeted. We stood there while they chatted amongst themselves and finally when the cashier was done talking she turns around and says oh yall ready to order? My husband orders my combo and then TRIES to order food for himself but everything he wants, she replies we out, we out, we out! Its not even 8pm and you have no food cooked in a very popular area on a Saturday night because you're ready to go home!! Smh So my husband ate what I got because according to the lady thats all they had chicken fried chicken or steak! Its 2hrs to closing according to the website and there's nothing made not even cinnamon rolls! Anyways we got our food and it was flavorless! The gravy was literally a watery mess and the steak was drowning in this gravy and you could still see the steak because the gravy was that watery! Everything was maybe luke warm too. Very poor customer service by the employees there tonight. The lady proceeds to lock the side door nearest to our vehicle while we were eating. Trying to leave the lobby, they made us walk a longer way to our car with a baby because the guy wouldn't unlock it to let us out through the side entrance! It was cold and raining. He said it's locked at 8pm no exceptions. While eating we saw a few people leave because they thought the lobby was closed. I'm not sure what the policy for Grandy's is for closing the lobby area but they should at least have a legit sign posted from CORPORATE on both sides of that door that it's locked at this time and to use another door to enter the establishment. Usually ALL doors remain open during business hours. Just thought that was weird to do also. We will never eat at this Grandy's!! P.S. THE HIGH CHAIRS NEED TO BE THROWN AWAY! THEY ARE NASTY AND GROWING MOLD ON THE STRAPS!
Yes you see it!!! A cricket!!! Service was horrible! My mom went to order lunch. Man in drive-thru was rude and lied. Tried to give her a condiment container as a side of beans. Got home and after I ate 3 FORKS OF THE BEANS, I crunch down on something crunchy and low and behold, A NICE EXTRA CRISPY CRICKET!!! So I drove 20 minutes back only to get a snooty "that's fine" when I asked for a refund. NO APOLOGY!!!
I haven't had chicken in a long so I decided to go get some. Pulled into Grandy's there was about 4 people working. My food was like week old chicken. Couldn't not eat it, the fish was delicious fresh and hot,with the mashed potatoes green beans no taste,the bake chicken was old too very very disappointed. Didn't get an chance the eat the chicken sandwich
