Our favorite coffee shop for more than a decade! We have been enjoying breakfast or coffee here for years and it would always be our first stop when driving up from NYC. As New Paltz residents, we love coming back here and starting our weekends right. Great coffee, matcha drinks and sandwiches. Amazing service! Could say a lot about their many hot sauces which are also available to be purchased to-go. We highly recommend this small, family owned place. ❤️

I mean, this is the PUDDLE!! The most iconic coffee shop in New Paltz for over 20 years! Completely family owned and operated for the entire time. All beans are roasted fresh in house multiple times a week. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, and owners! Drinks (especially the cappuccino) are incredible and have that signature "Puddle" aftertaste. It also gets you REALLY energized!! Thursday to Monday, you're able to get breakfast there until 1 p.m., the food is REALLY good, especially with a cappuccino. I would HIGHLY recommend the "James Sandwich"! Atmosphere is chill, with great music always playing. There's a huge outdoor area, as well as indoor bench seating overlooking the Walkill river and mt. Mohawk. Totally worth the trip!!

Great coffee shop at a great location on Market Street. They have classic coffee options as well as plenty of original drinks. I really enjoyed the Mudd Puddle Coffee. The staff was super friendly and service was prompt. They have outdoor seating available with a great view of the barn/antique shop. Parking is towards the back of the street and there is also street parking available on the main road.

Nice antique barn , across the way. Excellent vibe, and coffee is REALLY spot on DELICIOUS. I did not see any obvious vegan food choices, so not sure about that... but if you are going for the coffee and vibe it’ really nice.

Had an Italian Panini with Chicken. Definitely left an impression. I was amazed at the assortment of teas and in-house cofre roasting. This place is great!

Thankfully I visited on one of days with no mudd and zero pudding. Hopefully that does not happen often. The structure seems very sound and even the outside is well covered. Makes you curious as to how the name was earned. I was served possibly the biggest and best Americano ever served.

So miss inside sitting area, eliminated during renovation, (just cramped bar stool area now). Sit in cute, tight, outside back or Water Street Market community area in front, which are fun in warm weather. Most frustrating thing is kitchen seems always closed—I live in Lloyd. Now only serve breakfast, despite old menus shown. But the breakfast is delicious, and decaf coffee very good.

Mudd Puddle is a cute little cafe to go to if you need a get away with someone to have a good convo. They have seating inside, but have a bunch of chairs outside too for comfy spaces out seating. The pricing isn’t too bad, a chai latte is about $4, and the pastries are around the same price. The customer service wasn’t great, we didn’t get welcomed in (and there were no other guests), but that’s the only reason it’s not 5-star. Worth a visit :)

Really solid breakfast sandwich before our hike and the wait wasn’t bad. There was a whole fridge of locally brewed beers which was cool.

Cute cafe with a nice view from the back veranda. Limited countertop sitting inside. Some pastries available, no kitchen on Wednesdays. No WiFi.
