Friendly bar alot of dark wood pannelling... smiley staff the vibe has a watm homely feel to it
Great food and absolutely fantastic wait staff. Very attentive and genuinely friendly. Try to get Jillian or Matt - the pair are a riot and the friendliest wait staff you'll have the pleasure of laughing with.
Great food. Drinks were always here quick. Our waiter Matt was the best ever. Come visit him and tell him I said hi.
Everything about this place is amazing. The service, food and anything you can want to drink. Always a place that welcomes everyone.
Extremely nice restaurant with a chill atmosphere. Go here to watch anything! And have the grass fed burger
A surprisingly nice place to eat in NYC. My hubby had the best steak since South Africa which is saying something!
All of the televisons had stellar sports channles. The coke was stellar. The sheperards pie was stellar. The decor was also exquised.
OMG, I love this place. I went here for the NBA Finals the food was great, the service was great, and my bill was great. GO Here trust me!!
Just thank you to the saff realy made us feel welcome Food was hot and dilivered proptly and atmosphere was really warm and welcoming great sports bar
Good food and good drinks, with plenty of games on the TV's. Gets pretty crowded on weekends.
Great bar! Excellent food at a great price. Friendly casual atmosphere.
Great neighborhood pub, feels a little like Cheers. Good bar grub, and sports.
Great burgers. Nice place to sit outside even when it gets cooler. They have heaters
Very nice place ti watch your favourite sport match. Rafael Nadal is a common visitor.
Nice bar, great ambience, and their appetizers are pretty good too.
Sunday bartender lana is a delight. I miss working uptown and having an after work cocktail.
We went for drinks after commencement from Dale Carnegie course. This place is good for chatting. There are separate sections for restaurant and bar. Restaurant was apparently closed around 11 pm. So we stayed in the bar area. The big screens played baseball and other games.
Many things to love about Ashton's Alley: 1. location 2. tons of large tv's 3. ample sidewalk seating 4. large bar that's separate from the dining room 5. wide variety on the menu but I always get the burger which is phenomenal 6. personable bartenders
Pretty good spot for bottomless brunch. Every football game on and other NY sports games. Booths and tables. Outside seating for a more quiet crowd away from the TV's. I ordered lunch food which was good and fair price. Waitress would come right away making sure you're Screwdrivers, Bloody's, Mimosas, or beer were always full. Two hours time limit, my friend and I stayed for an extra half hour with no charge. Burgers are homemade (cheese not included, but I don't eat cheese) and my friends chicken wrap was good. Also I don't like pickles but these ones were pretty tasty.
This is a good place to watch sports. They get the Big Ten Network, which is what brought us in. They offer food and a good beer selection. Lots of seating. Looks like they have a nice beer garden for when the weather is warmer too.
Food was very good, and price was reasonable even for the city. Service was fantastic with only three. Very cozy place, definitely will be going back. Only surprised that they dont serve any complimentary bread or something while you wait for your order.
On the noisy side, particularly after 10 pm when the lights dimmed and the music kicked up. Well-executed pub food.
Went in for a late night beer, good tap selection and attentive service
Food was good. A bit too expensive. Server did not understand the beer selection very well. Would probably sit at the bar next time.
Great spot to watch any fútbol or any other sporting event, just be prepared to pay a hefty price to do so; a full bar and cold beer should dull the pain that accompanies the liquor tab.
Enjoyed the patio. Only problem was the vent from the kitchen or something was blowing heat directly onto the patio when it was 80 outside. The food was good as well.
Good food and drinks. A view of a TV anywhere you sit. Great sports bar. Music and Sports a little loud for conversation. Friendly and efficient wait staff.
Decent burger. Nice service. If you love sports and want to ignore your date this is the place to go.
Gigantic screen at the bar & plenty of space - perfect for watching the World Cup or any other sports event
Fun atmosphere for the game. Good food. And even better service
A great spot in NYC for a burger and a beer. The bar is treat. Usually packed with locals or folks stopping in for a quick bite before heading home. The atmosphere is great. Lots of large screen TVs that offer a full spectrum of sports actions. Every city needs places that offer high quality food and drink in a place that has character.
Good experience here especially when you reserve your table during games. Service can get better with more hospitality but the place has a great bar. We went for a game and had a good time here and prices were not too high. Will visit the place again.
Love all the stuff very friendly and great waiters. We had a birthday dinner for my sister and the service was awesome. Mathew great person with a sense of humor and very attentive to the orders . Will go back again.
Fun bar, great for watching hockey! Good food, though certain items are a bit more than you might expect... Still, good space for friends and great for groups.
Decent drinks, but for a $18 grass fed burger, mine was well done instead of medium rare, and I didn't have time to wait for another. Maybe the rest of the menu is ok.
"Bright Pretty Lights" I came here on the suggestion of the waldorf concierge for casual dining as im in town for the week. First impressions, i was "greeted" so to speak, by the hostess doing a fine job of holding up the wall with her back outside by the front door staring at the bright pretty lights. So i walked in and waited by the host station to be seated. After looking around being ignored by waitstaff an older man (possibly the owner), asked if i needed to be seated. He handed me off to another waitress who could have been the hostesses sister. I ordered a steak with a loaded bake potato. She looked at me puzzled about the loaded baked potato request and said oh ok baked potato. My dinner was brought out by another young man sans loaded baked potato but with a plain potato. It took me explaining what a loaded baked potato was to get their closesy facsimile of one. The steak was good, sides were fair, but it appears they have one true waiter and a bunch of support staff. I think the waiter may in fact be a manager. But he is the only one who checks on tables while the rest of the floor staff appears mesmerized by bright pretty lights.
To expensive (7 bucks a beer, 20$ for a Caesar's salad), staff is not unfriendly but not very nice either. Food tastes alright. Many open tables, not very crowded.
Love this place and the staff is wonderful. I love Alisha great bartender. The drinks are fabulous and the food is delicious. If near by a must.
Midtown upscale sports bar. Not a dive but in the heart of corporate midtown. Attracts a after work type crowd.
Just an ok sports bar. Not my thing. But many would appreciate the ambiance.
A pretty ideal sports bar midtown that serves up classic American restaurant grub. The place can get pretty busy especially on the patio on nice days. I enjoy the burgers and wraps. Great drinks and selection of beers.
Pretty standard Irish pub/generic sports bar. They have a huge outside patio, however, so if you want to grab a drink and some food and enjoy the weather it's a good spot for that. It's also not on the avenue, so it's not as loud as some of its bar neighbors.
Usually go here for brunch. Love most of their breakfast food but they usually burn the bacon. Waiters tend to forgot to come back to check on your table. Nice place to go to watch sports though.
Food sucks (especially the hamburgers), drinks are ok. Brunch is decent.
Looks nice but the service was uninterested and we felt like an inconvenience when I - obviously a visitor - didn't realized immediately what a "full bar" means. We left the place without ordering anything.
Saturday night in NY, a restaurant that's not even half full. 35 mins to bring appetisers out. Another 30 mins for entrees. Plates not cleared from the table. Inedible shepherds pie, rubbery chicken. The fish dishes however were tasty and not overpriced. One entree from our order arrived 25 mins after all other meals. Only one server was pleasant. The others were either rude or just stupid. It was hard to tell. Dos Caminos next door was completely full. We should have realised! Avoid Ashtons.
Terrible. If you are from out of town avoid this place. Sat at a table in the bar Sunday to watch a game and not one person offered me a menu or asked if I wanted a drink. Even though 2 or 3 waiters/hosts walked by ne like i was invisible. After 15 minutes left.
The manager was very unprofessional and decided to make up an excuse and tell us there wasn't enough room for us and decided to kick us out during the world cup final. He could have worked something out with us but he immediately decided to be stubborn and unhelpful.
Owner was a complete tosser. Never go in there again. However, his poor staff were run ragged and really helpfull. Very expensive.
Concierge at the Hotel Elysée who sent guests over to watch the NBA playoffs on a Wednesday night. The website mentions that the bar is open until 4am. My guests went there around 10 to watch the Golden State Warriors, and the bar was closed. I called the number listed on the website, only to receive a busy tone. Some clarity on hours of operation would be greatly appreciated.
