Have been to Jams twice. Last night we had the famous Jams chicken, Risotto, Cauliflower market dish, Potatoes market dish and everything was delicious. Chicken was perfectly cooked and moist with crispy skin. The sides were delicious as well. We had a good meal here.

Have always wanted to come here for lunch and yesterday I had a really good experience. I had the scallops and the watermelon margarita I also had the Paloma but forgot to take a picture. Everything was really good. Shoutout to Saydimar for the excellent service. Will be back!

Loved dining at this gorgeous restaurant inside the 1 Hotel Central Park south. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Definitely recommend the duck salad for entree 😋😋 get the passionfruit panna cotta for dessert and thank me later 🤗🤗 also shoutout to their bartender for making a fabulous dirty martini🍸🍸🍸

What a wonderful meal and experience my friend and I had at Jams. From the beautiful space and ambiance, to the delicious food and helpful caring diligent service, this place hit it out the park!

They should leave the white lights up all year! The live plants everywhere make it an amazing atmosphere. Unique and tasty vegetarian options.

Lovely meal in a plant-filled room. The DJ is a little too loud at 6:30 pm, but well meaning. One of our party recommended the chicken and it was delicious. Would recommend this place near 57th St.

So good. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Everything we got was yummy and the service was lovely. Little pricey and best to have a reservation, but worth it!

I had an amazing experience here. Forewarned, I am not from NYC but I was blown away by the hospitality. I've been in town for a week and I've tried a lot of 15$ cocktails and 45$ meals but this was by far the best. I went to the brunch buffet and it was delicious and amazing. They fold your napkins when you leave the table! These may be simple things but to me it was great.

Reservations recommended! It was a great atmosphere and very attentive staff! The avocado toast with smoked salmon was amazing. I highly recommend it for a breakfast before entering Central Park!

The team at JAMS did an absolutely incredible job helping me plan and execute the perfect bridal luncheon! Andrea was so organized and available helping to develop my plan and reserve the space, the serving team went above and beyond throughout the entire luncheon to keep us on schedule, providing everything we needed, and the lead coordinator Mensa could not have been more attentive, kind and responsive, anticipating anything we needed. The space is just beautiful, food absolutely delicious and the location, perfect. I would highly recommend hosting any size of event at JAMS. You all were wonderful, and my guests loved every minute and morsel!

Came one night for drinks around 10:00pm and then came the next day at around 3:30pm for some light food after a long day sightseeing. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious, but wanted to highlight the tall young man working the host stand both times we were there - he remembered us from the night before, and offered to sit us in the same booth we were sitting in from before. Little things like this really take a place from good to great.

Came here on New Year’s Eve and so happy and glad we did. While everyone has an elaborate New Years menu, they did not and it is good California style food with focus on quality and flavor. The 2 entrees did come at separate time but all is good as the quality is really yummy. Being in prime location we expect to pay more and it was more but definitely worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The atmosphere and service here was top notch. I came here for brunch and there were decent options on the menu. I'm not a breakfast person though so I think I would've enjoyed their dinner menu more!

We had Sam as our server this morning, and she was lovely and attentive. The food was excellent, hot, and quick to come out of the kitchen. The atmosphere was great. I love the Green shakshuka!

Visited Jams for the “Supper that Sustains Us” event and was blown away! Murat Erbil, Olivia, and team provided OUTSTANDING hospitality, and the food quality and taste was absolutely wonderful. Standouts were the squash salad, kale salad, and chicken, among many other tasty dishes. The kale salad dressing was so outstanding that I want to bottle it and take it home! Crisp and refreshing cocktails - loved the Greenhouse. Buzzy ambiance without being too loud or overbearing and great location as well. Ideal spot for a Central Park date or dinner / brunch with friends.

Absolutely amazing.... we went there on our trip to NYC for dinner and were not disappointed! Everything was spot on, from the service to the food. I felt the food was reasonably priced too, for how good it was. I has the scallops for my entree and I have never had scallops cooked so perfectly before! Loved the ambience too!

This is a solid breakfast spot near Central Park with friendly staff and quick service. While the green shashuka I ordered was a bit salty, it was still good. Don't miss out on their delicious smoothies — would recommend!

High quality food with high quality service, this was an amazing establishment with a great atmosphere and a beautiful greenery type of aesthetic. After a long summer day in New York, this restaurant gave us an escape from the noise and heat of New York City and offered a classy lunch with some of the best service we experienced in the big apple. 10/10 experience.

This is a really cute places for brunch! It was very busy, but the restaurant is spacious. Our server was attentive and polite and the food was good with hardly any wait at all. It's a little pricey for what it is, but this is New York... It was worth it for the ambience! Recommended!

Starting off I have to mention Jacqueline and Monsur, the service was honestly above and beyond. They were so attentive and anticipated every need- I haven’t had service like this in months. The food was very tasty and the selections were excellent- recommend the barata, gnocchi and the steak was incredibly tender and tasty. The 1 hotel is always good to me but this is one of the best places in New York for a comfortable and gourmet dinner. Will be back

Great place for brunch. It sits inside 1 Hotel but I think also has its own entrance. It has a nice atmosphere with all the plants and is an aesthetically pleasing space. The food is good enough where I would probably come back here with friends if I need a brunch spot. If you are in the area in need of a brunch place I would say this place should be in your consideration set! I liked the avocado toast. The side of potatoes which is not pictured below was outstanding and the pancakes were absolutely delicious if you are craving something sweet. The katsu sandwich looked tasty. The eggs Benedict was a bit on the small side.

We ate here on our last night in New York. I only wish we had found this restaurant earlier in our trip as we had a great time. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively and our server looked after us well.

My son and I stopped by here for lunch right after our visit at the MoMa nearby. Jacqueline was our server and we received exceptional service! I appreciate her patience she had with my energetic toddler and her welcoming demeanor. She checked in on us throughout our meal and was very friendly. The food was delicious and will definitely come back for the relaxing vibe and atmosphere. One of the better restaurants I've been to in Midtown. Highly recommend!

I first ate here in 2017 but they are as good as they were in 2017. I love the food. Service was good but our waiter was a little slow with drinks. Would go again without a second thought . Our order included the falafel burger, the salmon , salad .

Delicious food, great service and awesome vibe. The smoked salmon plate and the French toast are really delicious. The tofu scramble and the fries are good too. Service was awesome and the decor is really nice. Great spot for brunch!

Dining at Jams restaurant in 1 Hotel Central Park was an exceptional experience, deserving of nothing less than five stars. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was captivating, adorned with an earthy, green decor and an abundance of vibrant flowers, creating a soothing and inviting ambiance. The culinary journey began with their exquisite burrata, a creamy delight that set the tone for the rest of the meal. However, the real star of the evening was the Wagyu burger, arguably the best burger in New York. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, a testament to the chef's mastery. The bartenders at Jams deserve a special mention for their attentiveness and skill. They crafted amazing drinks that perfectly complemented the meal. Espresso Martini and Elm House Manhattan were flawless. For those preferring non-alcoholic options, the healthy mocktail choices were refreshing and creatively presented. Overall, Jams is more than just a dining spot; it's a culinary destination where every detail is thoughtfully curated to ensure an unforgettable experience. Whether it's the food, the drinks, or the ambiance, Jams sets a high standard for down to earth dining in New York.

I had a lovely experience at Jams near Central Park. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing, with a stylish interior and a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for dinner or a casual meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really feel the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into the dishes. The location is also fantastic - just steps from Central Park, making it a great place to stop before or after a walk in the park. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great food, a cozy atmosphere, and excellent service. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I went with English breakfast tea and chia pudding, and my friend ordered French toast—which was so tempting I totally forgot to take a photo before they started eating. The French toast looked amazing, and my chia pudding was refreshing, light, and perfectly textured. It had just the right balance of flavor and consistency—smooth and tasty without being too heavy. The café itself had a nice, relaxed vibe that made it perfect for a morning hangout. Everything felt thoughtful, from the presentation to the flavors, and it was the kind of breakfast that leaves you satisfied but not stuffed. I’d definitely go back for the French toast (and maybe snag some of my own this time). Totally a solid spot for brunch or a relaxed weekend morning.

Down the street from Times Square, a sensorial experience begins as you cross the threshold! Service was prompt and pristine. My colleagues were equally satisfied and noted that it would be a daily. Steak cooked to a perfect medium paired with JW potatoes and a side of sliced tomatoes! Thickly sliced and subtly dressed in house maître d'hôtel butter, simply delightful. Business was handled and appetites sated. Enjoy!

First time at Jams and will def be back. Met up with friend for quick brunch. I ordered English breakfast tea and Chia pudding, friend had French Toast and it was so good that I didn't get a pic. My chin pudding was refreshing, good consistency and tasty. Our server, didn't get his name, was courteous, friendly and very pleasant. He was patient with us and made us feel welcomed.

Brunch at Jams NYC with my family was such a wonderful experience. Located at the 1 Hotel near Central Park in Manhattan, the elegant vibe carries through every moment. I was enamored by copious plants around the restaurant, especially above the bar. If you plan on dining on the weekend I recommend making a reservation in advance since the place was packed. My bloody mary and lobster benedict were fantastic. Great place to dine if you're going to a show at Carnegie Hall!

There's greenery festooning every corner of Jams; baby squash on the tables, sparrows nesting in the walls outside. Inside, a calm oasis, where the staff are friendly and the food ambrosial. Lobster Benedict washed down with a Bellini? Yes please. Brunch of champions.

I wandered into Jams on a whim — honestly, I only meant to use the bathroom. But the host was so warm and welcoming that I decided to stay for a drink, and I’m so glad I did. 🍸 The Drink I ordered The Greenhouse (about $25), and I can honestly say it was the best cocktail I’ve ever had in my entire life. Worth every penny. Balanced, vibrant, and crafted with such care — the kind of drink that sticks with you long after the last sip. 🍴 The Food & Atmosphere Although I only stayed for one cocktail, the food menu looked incredible — everything passing by to other tables made me want to come back just to eat. The space has a chic, stylish vibe, yet it still feels approachable. 🤝 The Service From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and cared for, even though I hadn’t planned to stay. The service felt personal and genuine — something you don’t find everywhere in NYC. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jams truly lives up to the hype. Between the welcoming staff, the atmosphere, and that unforgettable cocktail, I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

5 stars! What a charming spot! Perfect for a relaxing weekend breakfast with the family. We ordered the bagel with salmon, pancakes, and brioche French toast. Everything was beautifully prepared and served in generous portions. You can tell there’s real care put into the food. The almond croissant was a standout. It was flaky, rich, and packed with real almond flavor. If you’re a true croissant lover, you’ll be in heaven. The ambiance, both indoors and out, is cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

One of my absolute favorite breakfast spots in NYC! Their Greek yogurt with granola is served to perfection—fresh, creamy, and beautifully balanced. The green juice is equally amazing, refreshing and full of flavor. The natural design of the space, filled with greenery, creates a calm and inviting atmosphere that’s hard to find in the city. It’s got such a wonderful ambiance—perfect for a relaxed start to the day. Plus, the location couldn’t be better. It’s just steps from Central Park, making it the ideal place to enjoy a delicious breakfast before a peaceful walk. I absolutely love it here!

We planned a fun brunch with a larger group of friends to celebrate a birthday and had an excellent time! Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Their food is delicious, as are their coffees and drinks. They serve an organic menu which adds to the freshness of their food. Highly recommend the brioche French toast with strawberry and lemon curd (pictured). Also the atmosphere is cozy and inviting with all the plants.

Had a great brunch at Jams! We tried the Salmon Everything Bagel, Brioche French Toast, and Greek Yogurt Parfait, along with some coffee. The salmon bagel was packed with toppings, which was a big plus. The parfait was fresh and delicious. The French toast was a huge portion—definitely filling! The ambiance was really nice, and the interior design gives off that laid-back Californian vibe, which I loved. Overall, a great spot for brunch, and I’d definitely go back for dinner!

Pros - the Greenhouse cocktail was delicious; perfectly balanced and extremely refreshing - the miso butter is out of this world - the plants around the restaurant are very pretty and create a nice ambiance Cons: - the seating around the bar is a little awkward (I was bumped into twice while I was seated at the bar) - the music is kind of loud; not the place to carry out an intimate conversation

Brunch at Jams was great! The staff was accommodating and understanding of the fact that we arrived late to our reservation. The food was really good, I had the kale salad and the French toast. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only downside was that there was an issue with the bathroom door locking while no one was in it so I ended up waiting to use the restroom for 10 minutes or more. However the staff eventually realized the issue and unlocked the door. The check took a while to come but the restaurant was busy as it was peak brunch hours so this is understandable and not a big deal. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Jams to someone looking for a quality restaurant in Midtown/Central Park South.

Sustainable, organic, locally sourced, all the good stuff. Vegan and gluten free options. Waiter was super friendly. They offered us an extra dish to apologize on a tiny mistake on the menu - great service. The crab gratin was lacking a bit of crab but still very good. The squash was sweet and delicious. The gnocchi were excellent. Sunday was ok. They have some original cocktails - like the one with charcoal - and a decent list of wines sustainably produced. The setting is airy, full of green and wood.

This spot is located inside the 1 Hotel Central Park. It had a nice amount of seating, although not huge space. We started off with some drinks. I chose Grapes of Wrath. The interesting thing was that they had some sugar on the outside rims, but only about half of less than half the glass rim was coated… Did they forget to do the other side, or they realized after half way that they were not supposed to do that??? My hubby went with Apple Crusta. It was more lemony than apple, which was a bit confusing… We ordered Maplebrook Burrata and Salt Cod Brandade to share as appetizers, and they were both really great! We all enjoyed it a whole lot. For main, I had Coconut-Curry Seafood Stew. It was delicious, spicy and full of jewels of the sea! The others went with Berkshire Pork Chop, and Pan Roasted Atlantic Hake. I heard it was the best pork chop she ever had, and the hake was a big hit too. We also had one side dish to share: Fried Fingerling Potatoes. Sooo good, it disappeared quickly! Since we all enjoyed the food massively, we decided to push our luck with desserts. We had Cranberry-Almond Tart, Ginger Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Chocolate-Peanut Butter Baked Alaska. They were all really good, but the tart was the crowd's favorite. The bathrooms were not in a great shape. I heard one of them were not tidy (toilet paper all over on the floor), and another one, the toilet was not flushing. I went into the one with the broken toilet, and since I am a proud handy-woman, I fixed it for them before I used it. Seems like several people had used the toilet before I came along, so I wonder when any of their staffs went to check the cleanliness of the bathroom… The rest of the space and the food was amazing, so it is very disappointing to see that they are not putting enough care to their bathroom… Other than that, the service was great. Our water glass was always filled, and we were well taken care of. I would love to go back and try more of their amazing dishes!

Brunch was good, not the most exciting menu but still worth it. The vibe is excellent, like a coffee shop vibe but inside a swanky hotel. Being near Central Park is obviously a great perk, eat a good meal >> go for a walk. Sunday brunch is on till 4pm! Oh, and they don’t have syrups (weird) so if you get an iced cap, don’t ask for vanilla!

I

Cool brunch spot attached to an up scale hotel. Really nice atmosphere. A reservation is best for peak meal times, especially weekend brunch. We were early for our reservation, but they were kind enough to give us a table a little ahead of time and even though we were waiting on one more person. There was a little bit of confusion amongst the waitstaff, and it was not clear who was in charge of our table. Our order was taken in good time, and the food came out pretty quickly considering they were busy. From the several dishes we chose, the pancakes and the katsu sandwich were the faves. Didn't try the potatoes, but they looked delish!

I've eaten here before in 2020 so I was excited to go back. The food was very good, but our dinner entrees were forgotten about. I'm not sure how that happened, but the staff was kind and offered a complimentary dessert for the table.

Great little place close to Central Park! Jams Benedict was ok, but nothing to write home about. You are paying for the location and not as much for the food. Other items may be better. Drinks were good as well.

I recently dined at Jams and was thoroughly impressed by the food and atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic feel that is complemented by the lush greenery of Central Park. The menu is innovative and offers a range of options for different dietary needs. I particularly enjoyed the roasted beet salad, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made sure to accommodate our requests. My only critique would be that the noise level was a bit high, making it difficult to have a conversation at times. Overall, Jams is a great spot for a special occasion or a night out with friends. I highly recommend it!

Had a good experience here for breakfast. I shared with one other person and the portions for what we got were perfect. French toast was delicious and our side of potatoes was bigger than expected. Only con for me was there was no regular hot sauce. Good latte and healthy options.

Beautiful place for an evening date. There are lots of plants, wood finished, and in general the interior has a warm and cozy vibe. The dinner food options are limited but delicious. They have good vegan and vegetarian options too. The service staff was polite and accommodated our reservation request at the window side table.

Nice place near Central Park that offers delicious food. We were there for lunch and as usually I tasted the burger 🍔. It was nice, but it didn’t impress me. Having in mind that it was 20-30% more expensive than the burgers in Manhattan it wasn’t special enough. We tried few more things that were also nice but I didn’t find them special.

Had an amazing summer salad for lunch, so good came back for an equally amazing dinner with an especially good roast chicken and a peach and plum salad. The cheese plate was much better than most. Service was excellent. Restaurant is full of plants which was very pleasant. Only disappointment was a tasteless tuna crudo which seemed to have none of the seasonings listed in the menu item. Second visit the salad was not nearly as good and the chicken was dry and tasteless. Third visit the salad was terrible and the chicken was only slightly better than the time before. Sadly this will be my last visit

I had a wonderful dining experience at Jams in the 1 Hotel Central Park. I ordered the cavatelli with tomato sauce, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a beautifully designed space that feels both stylish and cozy. I especially love the décor and the abundance of plants, which add a fresh and natural touch. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d love to return to!

My friend and I finally decided to try out this place we often pass by. We made a reservation and were excited to see if it lived up to our curiosity. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be just mediocre. We ordered the fries and lobster Benedict. The fries were overly salty and not the style we usually enjoy. As for the lobster Benedict, it was underwhelming. The flavor felt like it was missing something, and it didn’t offer any surprises. On the positive side, the atmosphere was great, making it a convenient spot for a casual meet-up. The servers were okay, providing standard service without much to note. Overall, while the food didn’t impress us, the ambiance and convenience might make it worth another visit for a simple get-together. However, if you’re looking for exceptional flavors, this might not be the place.

Jams at 1 Hotel has all the makings of a great brunch spot—beautiful ambiance, a cozy setting, and a menu that feels promising. However, for a higher-end hotel, the food itself is pretty average. That said, their menu is quite unique - we opted for the vegan peanut butter oatmeal, botanical breakfast and side of chicken sausage. Truly, their peanut butter chocolate oatmeal is absolutely TO DIE FOR—rich, comforting, and worth a return visit just for that alone. Everything else was decent but nothing particularly standout. Since table space in NYC is quite limited, we opted to sit at the bar, which ended up being a great choice. The bar has a beautiful counter, and the plus side is that you can order food there as well—a nice perk if you prefer a more relaxed experience. Service-wise, our experience was mixed. The host was not friendly or accommodating, coming across as standoffish and uninterested. Fortunately, our server was fantastic—attentive, fast, and kind, which made a huge difference. On a super cold east coast morning, stepping into a warm, inviting space for a cozy brunch was exactly what I needed to fuel up for the workday. While the food overall doesn’t necessarily match the upscale setting, the oatmeal alone is enough for me to return.

Good location, love the greenery inside and outside the restaurant. Food was good, not amazing. Service was better than other places I’ve been to in NY.

Excellent service - friendly, helpful, & efficient. Great atmosphere and location. The bacon & eggs were perfectly cooked. The prices were far too high for the dishes. The fruit and avocados were not fully ripe.

Frankly, the food was just ok, nothing to rave about. We had the soup (parsnip, cappuccino chestnut), fried calamari, and pan roasted sea scallops with cauliflower puree. The scallops were good, although the plate was not hot. Service and ambiance made up for the food.

Great place and ambiance! The good was good, but overpriced. Maybe it’s a standard now in NYC. The host forgot our Capoucino and had to be reminded again. SAME thing with the bill. Overall, too expensive for me to go back.

This is my second time visiting this place. The first time was over a year ago, but it seems like they are still having problems with service quality. 1. I like the interior and location. 2. The food is pretty tasty, and the coffee is delicious. The chef and his team deserve respect. 3. The service needs some work. Servers forget to bring some items from orders, and the waiting time is long even when it's not too busy. 4. Additionally, the bathroom needs some cleaning as it has an odor

The restaurant is absolutely lovely and the service is excellent! It is very pricey and the portions are small - everything is à la carte. Have been to Carnegies the morning before this was a fancier version of the avocado toast but half the portion with no egg and twice the price but it was delicious. If you’re looking for an upscale spot that’s quiet and money is no object I would definitely give it a try. 😊

Close walking distance to central park. Had the pancakes and husband had the salmon bagel sandwich. Food was decent, lattes tasted too milky though.

The place atmosphere is adorable with all plants everywhere! Stop by to have a breakfast with kids. However, the menu was so limited, and surprisingly there was no even oats for kids. Lobster eggs Benedict was a bomb!!!

The joint is spacious and the atmosphere was great! The staff were quick and attentive. A bit steep on the pricing but it’s NYC, so I was prepared. The ingredients were mostly fresh, but overall could be better (at least the vegetarian options which is what we had mostly; sourdough was a bit chewy, frittata was dry). French toast was incredible!! Would certainly give it another try (probably for lunch or dinner, over brunch). Highly recommend!

Came a few years back for brunch and loved it, so we made it a priority this trip and then wished we hadn't. The food was not as good as last time, and service was terrible. The hostess started to take us to a table along the side wall, then another employee came over and talked to her, and she redirected us to sit at another location - the table closest to the bathroom and next to the drink prep station. It took a long time for anyone to even come to our table once we were seated, and other than taking our order, we did not see our server again until he brought the check. He didn't check if our orders were right (they weren't entirely), no coffee refills until we flagged down another server, etc. Our food was just ok - the huevos rancheros were good but a small portion, and the frittata was dry and flavorless. The pastries were just ok and last time they were a highlight of the meal. The aesthetic in the restaurant is great, but I do not plan to return.

We went on Christmas Day for dinner and were quite disappointed. I found out about it on a best brunch review list and we really like California farm-to-table style food, so were excited to try dinner. My husband's pork chop was so dry he couldn't eat it. I had a Christmas special, the game hen, and au jus tasted like liquid smoke which overpowered the entire dish. The appetizer (lobster salad) and side dish (delicatessen squash) were both great, our server was lovely, and I really enjoyed my cocktail so we'll likely give it another shot. The manager did say that brunch was their best service (and that is the review list I found them on), so that is likely what we'll do.

I had food here twice - once for lunch (hamburger) and a second time for an afternoon snack. The service both times was excellent. I sat at the bar and had a different person each time, but they were both friendly and attentive. I would give five stars for service alone. The food was… ok. The hamburger was tasty - but quite simple and honestly a little over cooked (I ordered it medium rare and received it closer to medium). The fries were just frozen French fries from McCain or some other big company that sells food to restaurants. The ketchup was surprisingly tasty The second time I ordered a focaccia and it wasn’t good. It was old and rubbery. I have no problem with day old focaccia, in fact I love it at home after I toast it, but the restaurant didn’t even bother warming it. It was just bad. I would recommend the warm it in the oven before serving it to costumers.

CHECK YOUR BILL, WRONG CALCULATED TIP & OVER PRICED WATER, (I don’t mind spending money on a good meal, drinks, service etc) but when they asked us what type of water we wanted (sparkling or still?) there was no mention they are going to charge you $15 for each, soft drinks aren’t listed on the menu. We were charged $15 for 1 bottle of sparkling, and $15 for a bottle of still?! That’s insane, are we at the airport or something? Hey management: There’s literally no need to gouge people on water, just charge higher prices for the food and drinks if that’s what you want, and offer water at regular prices, also offer tap - NYC tap water is fine and should be an option. I scrolled through the reviews afterwards and see that someone else did mention the crazy $15 for water previously. A real issue we had was incorrect billing. I had lunch with my friend and we asked for the bill to be split in half (which is very common and should be easy math = total divided by 2) however when we got the split bills, the amounts on the separate bills were more than half of the total bill (with no explanation) and the suggested tip amounts on each of the separate bills were higher than the tip amounts on the combined bill (simple math: 20% of $150/ by 2 is less than 20% of $150) so clearly there’s either an issue with their cash register system or a human error issue, but either way not a good sign of management oversight or check out procedures? I suggest you DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT ESPECIALLY IF YOU SPLIT IT, AND CALCULATE THE TIP YOURSELF. Finally - the stuff we SHOULD HAVE FOCUSED ON (if we didn’t get distracted by the checkout/ billing) Food: was well presented, the chicken was a little dry, but overall the crispy chicken paillard was tasty. Atmosphere: calm and inviting, place is nicely decorated on the inside and out. Went at lunch didn’t feel over-crowded. Our server was attentive, checked in with us several times, and we didn’t feel rushed. Overall, It was a mixed experience, which is why I gave it a 3 stars.

My wife and I had dinner here this past Saturday night. We were very much looking forward an adult evening out, as we had received great service from the bar the prior couple of evenings. Shortly after being seated we wound up next to two obnoxious children with very minimal parental control, there was another child yelling, which their parents found amusing, and another table with a loud child. For a nice hotel, and restaurant, possibly considering a hard cutoff for children would be nice to avoid a spoiled meal over loud children. Table service was ok, would have liked it to be more elevated.

This was my third time here and every other experience has been great until Sunday. Our server (our receipt said cashier was Rowan I believe) had zero interest in waiting on our table. We waited somewhere between 30-60 minutes to get our check when we finished eating, that was only after I went to the hostess asking for the check. Our waiter totally disappeared on us and was neutral to borderline rude.

It took awhile for the host to get to us, but we were able to easily get seated when she did. The service was okay, as was the food. I didn’t think the food or drinks were anything special. The prices were very high and you definitely did not get good quality food for it. The place itself is cute though, good atmosphere.

I came here for lunch and ordered an orange juice and a chicken sandwich. Honestly the chicken was a little dry and did not taste like it had been under a heat lamp. Tasted more like it had been on the counter for an hour. The fries were good. The juice was fine. It was an Ok meal but for $30 it should be amazing. The pickles were excellent though.

A interesting place inside of one hotel Central Park . Came down on our last day to get her breakfast. Food was all right you typical healthy breakfast food. Ordered a bagel with lox crackers with an egg well done and avocado. Received bagel with locks scrapers an over. Easy egg and delicious avocados. My main issue was service was not very good at all. It was not too crowded. After about 15 minutes Of being seated, we were not approached by anyone I had to ask a server for coffee. And that’s how pretty much went from that point on.. There’s so many breakfast places in New York that they should pick up their service abilities a little

I was very excited to try Jams in NYC but my experience was dissapointing. From the very beginning everything felt a little messy and I felt unwelcomed… table wasn’t set upon arrival and when we got seated the table didnt have silverware or water glasses… waitress was a little rude and even dropped water on the table at serving while my table was unstable and I had to ask twice for something to make it even and not dropping all the food everytime we got a bite… food came earlier than beverages, salt grinder was empty and food taste and presentation were average… I had great expectations but they fell short… I will try again just because chef Waxman is amazing…

The three stats are for the ambiance. The food is okay, but overpriced. The worst part about this place is how rude the hostesses are (especially on the weekends). If you don’t care about good service for the price you’re paying, then the ambiance is worth it.

We were seated & then absolutely no one acknowledged our existence except a bus boy finally. He was very kind, but the wait staff was HORRIBLE!! It took us well over 30 minutes for someone to take our order & again it was the bus boy! He was kind and you could tell he was embarrassed by our treatment…I got the cheeseboard which had no taste or anything special except the bread! The brussel sprouts were wet & not at all something to get ever again! My husband got the burger & fries & it was meh! What a complete disappointment & to think Jonathon Waxman is the face to this place! So disappointing!

Came here for lunch and the service was bad, saw my server a total 1 time and a couple of the other servers that we had to ask met us with a cold attitude, watched the drinks and food wait at the bar and the window for a while as we were waiting. And why would they tie teabag to the mug that’s not very proper, But the restaurant has a nice vibe. The only good servers where the Asian guy and the server that gave us dessert at the end, but one of the dessert came out without everything on the menu and when I had to ask 4 servers for it it came out cold, overall bad service except for the Asian guy, he should be the manager

Walking in the place looks beautiful. Filled with plants above the bar area, great lighting. I'm not sure if the server assigned to our table was a busboy or a waiter, as a gentleman took our order and the check was brought by a different person, J. We got our bottled water and then our meal. I ordered the salmon and wow, overcooked & dry. Other parties ordered gnochii, the broccoli was blah and the pasta was ok, sauce was ok. When the plates were cleared, nobody asked if we wanted coffee or dessert (we went somewhere else). Maybe because we look like tourists? There is one restroom which had not be serviced in hours while 3 waitresses stood there chatting away. The place was NOT busy. A few squares of toilet paper were left for me to use. Overall, you can find better.

I had lunch at Jams with my husband for my birthday. I was really looking forward to the food and experience. The restaurant was beautiful and the vibe seemed really great. However, from the moment our waiter came over, it was HORRIBLE. He was VERY INATTENTIVE...our food came out cold, the appetizers came out minutes before the meals - they were literally trying to clear away my appetizer plate while I was still eating so that they could bring out our meals....which came out COLD. The cocktails were 'meh.' I got the FLANK STEAK and fries, both of which were STONE COLD and the meat had clearly been reheated on one side (one side was well done while the other side was rare and it had that funky taste that meat gets when it's reheated). At this point I was not so hungry so I asked for a takeout container for almost my entire meal. When I got home, much to my surprise there was ALMOST NO FOOD IN MY TAKEOUT CONTAINER. I reheated what was there and SOMETHING DIDN'T TASTE RIGHT about it so I threw it all away. Lastly, I didn’t expect anything for my birthday but I was also surprised that the waiter didn’t even acknowledge it. I was so disappointed that I called right after I got home and saw how little food was in my takeaway container. This woman assured me she would call the next day because they were so busy. Two days went by and I called again. This time they asked me to send an email to the manager, which I did promptly. Both times they assured me they would make this right...I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM EITHER ONE OF THEM. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK to this beautiful restaurant that probably has great food if it's served properly and I encourage you to consider this as well.

Totally gross heaping amounts of food on a plate with no discernment or quality of ingredients for brunch. Just not good. Staff was fine but didn’t even ask if we liked the food… clearly didn’t as our plates were still full. So many other great breakfast places around in the upper east and west so I don’t recommend at all.

Sat to buy for about five minutes, waiting for a drink, because the bartender was busy serving other clients, Which was not the issue. My issue is that another person just walked in and sat down next to me and the bartender turns to her and ask her what she wants, even though I have been sitting there, and he saw me sitting there and saw this young woman walk in. So I got up and I walked out. The restaurant and the food are expensive and it’s designed to have a great atmosphere, but that is really disheartening when you were waiting to be serviced and somebody just completely ignores you to talk to somebody else and service another client who had just walked in. Thank you so much.

Awful service. I ordered the French toast which looked lovely at first but as soon as I tasted the whipped cream it didn’t taste right as it was more like cheese. We queried it with the waiter as everything else was nice, however when they came back from the kitchen they said it did not taste like cheese and it is just the way that they make it. I said ok but asked if it was supposed to taste of cheese and the waiter said no and that they had tasted it and it didn’t. I didn’t appreciate being made to feel like a liar as we were really impressed and were enjoying our experience up until this. The staff were rude, would avoid this place at all costs unfortunately

As a guest of the hotel I ate here twice both times our order was put in wrong and the meal experience was terrible. Breakfast was the worst. 2 mistakes with my order, my food arrivied cold. I was given my correct order as an addendum but it still tastes terrible and dry. I am paying 50-60 dollars per person with drinks included for this price this is unacceptable.

This is by no means a Michelin-level restaurant. They brought me a mug for tea that reeks of egg yolk — clearly someone drank from it before me and it wasn’t properly washed. My mood is completely ruined! Please, gentlemen, at least maintain basic hygiene!
