Opinions de Quality Italian New York
I had a wonderful experience at QI this week. I was traveling for business and dining alone, which can be somewhat intimidating. Wilson was my server and made the evening incredibly enjoyable. He offered suggestions and was very attentive even though it was a busy night. The cocktails were top tier. The raw salmon was refreshing. The sol could’ve fed my entire family and the fries…. Crispy potato bites of heaven I was surprised with (hands down) the best dessert I have ever experienced in NYC-a sorbet cheesecake situation that I will be back for every time I’m in town. Thank you to everyone there for such a wonderful experience!
Wow this place was very good! It was our first night here in NYC and we weren’t sure were to go but a friend recommended us here. So we got a reservation which is a must have and got seated right around 7:30 (which was our reservation). It was scrubbusy in here and my only concerns were the lighting was really low and the music was so loud so we could barley hear. Our waiter was nice but I think it was like his first day because he seemed a little frazzled and messed the check up. The service was quick though. We got the ricotta with honey and baby kale salad. Both of these were so delicious and flavorful. The nuts on the ricotta really added the extra. Then we all got pasta for dinner and the truffle cacio de Pepe was my favorite. It wasn’t to creamy which I like and the noodles were long and perfect. The truffle flavor was just right not overpowering. We were to stuffed for dessert. It was pricey but I expected that. So overall great way to end the night!
Great restaurant with amazing food and friendly staff. I went in for lunch and loved everything I tried. For the appetizer, I went with the whipped ricotta. Very tasty. For my main, I ordered the Porterhouse Agnolotti. It was a great mix of slightly sweet and savory. My appetizers consisted of the crispy Brussels sprouts and the corn crème brûlée. Both of which were extremely flavorful. Lastly, I ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was a mix of caramel and sea salt. I finished my meal with a cappuccino. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to quality Italian and would return again.
An absolute masterpiece of a meal—the Chicken Parm Pizza lives up to the hype! I recently had one of the most memorable dining experiences in New York City here. If you are looking for a spot that perfectly balances a classic upscale steakhouse vibe with a lively, modern energy, this is absolutely the place. First, let’s talk about the main event: the Chicken Parm Pizza. I had seen photos, but nothing prepares you for the real thing. It is massive—literally the size of a pizza—but made entirely of perfectly breaded, crispy chicken topped with high-quality mozzarella, sauce, and basil. It is a masterpiece of comfort food and a total showstopper that easily feeds the table. We also ordered the Filet Mignon, which was cooked to a flawless medium-rare and melted in your mouth like butter; the quality of the meat was undeniable. Do not skip the sides! The Corn Brûlée is life-changing; it has this incredible sweet-and-savory crust that I’m still dreaming about. The Caesar Salad was also a standout—crisp, fresh, and dressed just right, acting as the perfect light balance to the richer dishes. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was attentive without hovering and made us feel genuinely welcome. A solid 10/10 experience—I cannot wait to come back!
Absolute 5 star experience — a must try! Service was outstanding, a true rarity these days. Roberto (from Brazil) was our server and he was 10/10 stars, but the entire staff took great care of us! The house brioche is delicious and the menu is extensive. Pastas offer great value and pack a delicious punch of flavor. If you saved room for dessert, you MUST try the sticky toffee date pudding. Divine. Give this place a try for date night or with a large group of friends — it’s swanky and delicious with fantastic interior design. You won’t be disappointed.
We feeling the chill and needed to warm up and grab some food. Stumbled across this place after our little trip into central park. Not the easiest to navigate, so had to ask. Self service then pay then eat. I went for a decaf cappuccino wow, sooo good. With a freshly made, baked Parma pizza omg so good. Well worth giving this place a go.
Return visit. Cocktail shrimp sumptuous. Nicely large and chewy. Pasta bit salty, but gnocchi excellent. Burger great, perhaps having leftover prime beef for patty procured also for Quality Meats brother helps. Salad nice as well. ---------- Quality meats around and been several times. Never got around to eat here. 2nd floor location smart. Sad to see a view of Rue 57 closed across the street. Hot bread to start. Chicken parmesan pizza style good to feed 3 people. Nice to share with leafy sides and condiments. Mini ravioli wagon was ok. Pasta nice. Salad good too. Serving adequate. As family style, had everything at once which could have been better if adjusted to stagger to make sure everything can be eaten hot. Yet, we didn't request so either.
I had a wonderful experience. The waiter was busy & the host came to make sure we were good. The waiter suggested the meat balls very spectacular. The drinks were strong. Brussels sprouts, & spicy lobster pasta exceptionally great taste.
I had the most incredible dinner with my girlfriends on Friday at Quality Italian! Because we had 7 people we made a reservation a few weeks in advance, and I’m glad we did because it was PACKED. We sat upstairs in their gorgeous dining room and everything we ate was absolutely amazing. My favorite dishes of the night were the chicken parm pizza, the pesto pasta and the sticky toffee! They also had an incredible espresso martini that I highly recommend!
We had such an amazing anniversary dinner and our server JC.T was amazing kind and answered all of my questions! The staff and manager Miguel were also so kind and helpful during our whole experience. We had a dining time of about 2 hours and it was so nice and amazing! Will totally be back when I visit nyc again !
Tried quality Italian while visiting Manhattan. The service was amazing. The food was amazing too, and the drinks were on point. We order the famous chicken Parmesan pizza, which is a huge chicken with cheese on top . We feed six people with the pizza an appetizer. we were good to go amazing place. I will definitely come back make a reservation if possible.
The service and food were amazing! We had a party of nine, and the waitresses were super attentive - everything came out smoothly, course after course Our favorites: Starters – stracciatella and prosciutto Pasta – lobster and truffle And the chicken parm pizza 😋 The interior is great, the restaurant has several rooms, and all the tables are set up for large groups
For me a rating is based on total experience and this restaurant excelled in every area. The main dining room is on the second floor but on the first floor is a bar with a few tables and garage doors that open fully. We went for lunch and it was a beautiful day so we sat at a table which was open to the outside, perfection for me. Service was great, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, can’t ask for anything more. I definitely need to return to try more menu items but for this visit the gnocchi was the star. Literally melt in your mouth and the leek in the sauce was present but not overwhelming. Absolute 10 out of 10 in my opinion. Ricotta appetizer was delicious and creamy. Very mild flavor. I asked for extra honey which was great and would have loved more pine nuts also because the texture added a lot to the dish. The tomato and Stracciatella was very good but wasn’t wowed. Likely my fault should not have ordered two cheese appetizers. They start the meal with a small pan of bread. Yummm!!! Flavorful and chewy in the best way. Drinks also very good. Highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning soon.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality Italian Classic NYC Glam Meets Modern Flavor 🍸🍝✨ Dinner at Quality Italian was an experience that completely lived up to the hype sophisticated, flavorful, and full of that signature New York charm. From the chic ambiance to the incredible service, everything felt perfectly curated. I started the evening with one of their signature cocktails light, pretty, and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, the crab-stuffed shells were incredible rich, creamy, and beautifully plated. The main course was the highlight of the night: tableside pasta that was both a performance and a flavor masterpiece. Watching it being prepared right in front of me made the whole experience feel exclusive and special. And that dessert? Unforgettable. Warm, rich, and paired with a scoop of ice cream that melted perfectly into every bite pure heaven. ✨ The atmosphere was cozy yet upscale, with dim lighting, great music, and those classic NYC views just outside the window. Whether it’s date night, a celebration, or a chic dinner out, Quality Italian is the definition of city dining done right. 📍 Midtown Manhattan, NYC 🍝 Must-try: Crab-Stuffed Shells + Tableside Pasta 🍸 Perfect for: Date night, special occasions, or an elegant evening out in the city
What a great experience, we came on a Friday night our first time in New York City celebrating joint mine and my boyfriend’s 21st birthday and also anniversary, this place was incredible. The staff really went above and beyond for us and treated us so well next time we’re in the city we’re definitely returning. They very kindly brang out a lemon sorbet desert for us to on the house. The vibes and the atmosphere of the restaurant are also great. A bit more on the pricier side depending what you get but worth every penny
Dinner at Quality Italian was a marked improvement over others from start to finish it delivered. Our waiter was outstanding: genuinely attentive and proactive, which set the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was lively and full-tilt so much so that I practically lost my voice trying to keep up with the buzz. The food really stood out. We began with grilled octopus for starters, which was tender and flavorful. The highlight was the spicy lobster rigatoni alla vodka: an absolutely amazing dish with excellent balance of lobster and sauce. This is a high-energy spot rather than a quiet fine-dining lounge, so expect volume and movement. If you’re in the right mood for that, Quality Italian offers both service and dishes that feel notably better than many Midtown alternatives.
Buonissimo, this place is unique Italian experience. Delicious freshly made Italian sandwiches with authentic flavors, including a great vegetable sandwich, paired perfectly ingredients. with a good coffee choices Everything tastes fresh and high quality. Great spot for a quick bite or a casual sit-down
Loved everything about this place! Quality Italian sat us right by the outside patio. Beautiful fall day. Service is a 10! Delicious table side Lobster pasta is a must. Fabulous wine selection. The Caesar Salad absolutely had me wanting more. Truly enjoyed the lemons on the salad. A must when visiting Manhattan and NYC!!
Had an absolutely amazing birthday dinner experience here! The staff was superb and so helpful throughout the entire dinner. From suggesting apps and wine pairings to ensuring I had leftovers bagged up in time for a show, they were an absolute delight. This was a perfect pre-show dinner, everything was delicious, and I can’t say enough about how fantastic the service was. Highly recommend!
"Quality" Italian, it's real. I've had Italian in the city, and this place has overwritten everything I know about Italian dining experience. The waitress was knowledgeable, she practically recommended every single item with details (it's a 1 page menu, but still took us almost forever to decide). Every staff worked with swiftness. The presentation of the food was extraordinary. The Tiramisu looked nothing like any tiramisu I've had in my life (in a good way!) Gotta gotta try the Whipped Ricotta 😋 The ambiance was great too. This place is especially recommended for special occasions, as it gives you special vibes. We tried as much as possible on the menu, but didn't get a chance to try the Chicken Parma Pizza, so we'll definitely be back for that in the future!

This name is well earned. In a city where you can find Italian on every block, it gets competitive and this place stands apart. The chicken Parmesan pizza is amazing.

Fantastic Italian spot in NYC. The food was consistently excellent—fresh pasta cooked perfectly, rich but balanced sauces, and high-quality ingredients throughout. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without feeling pretentious, and the service was attentive and knowledgeable. Everything felt thoughtfully done, from the menu to the wine selection. A great choice for a relaxed but elevated Italian meal. Would definitely return.
Stepping into Quality Italian, right in the heart of New York City, feels like being transported into a stylish trattoria somewhere in Florence. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism that immediately sets the atmosphere for an unforgettable dining experience. The service is truly impeccable. Our server, Alessandro, was attentive and personable, offering detailed descriptions of each dish and providing thoughtful wine suggestions tailored to our preferences. The staff as a whole worked seamlessly—plates appeared and disappeared at just the right moment, water glasses were refilled without asking, and every interaction felt sincere and welcoming. It was clear the team takes pride in their work, and that pride shows in every gesture. The cuisine is where Quality Italian truly shines. We started with their signature burrata, impossibly creamy and served with fresh focaccia still warm from the oven. The pasta selections were outstanding—each noodle clearly handmade. The linguine alle vongole had layers of flavor, perfectly seasoned and reminiscent of classic coastal Italy. The standout dish of the evening, however, was the bistecca alla fiorentina—juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection, seasoned in a way that allowed the meat’s natural flavor to shine. To finish, we indulged in a divine tiramisù that was both airy and decadent, leaving us already planning a return visit. The ambiance ties everything together: it is elegant without being pretentious, lively yet intimate. Soft lighting, refined décor, and subtle Italian music create the ideal environment whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner or gathering with friends. There’s a natural balance between New York city chic and Italian warmth that makes the restaurant feel special and welcoming. In conclusion, Quality Italian is a gem in New York City’s vibrant dining scene. From outstanding hospitality to exquisite dishes prepared with heart and craftsmanship, it offers an elevated yet soulfully authentic Italian dining experience. It is a place you’ll want to return to again.
This is the quintessential midtown italian-american spot that can serve you a steak or a decent pasta as you host a team of 6-8 folks and drink good cocktails. There's nothing wrong with Quality Italian, and it has its place, it is not however a great date spot or a place for a romantic evening. The vibes are fire for a work event or birthday. The Corn Brulee is one of the best dishes out there, and each pasta dish is good. But nothing is going to wow you and make you want to come back.
I used to really love this place. Went back last night after not having been in many years. I used to think it was a better Carbone but I was underwhelmed by my food last night. Little gem ceasar appeared to have what tasted like lemon zest which was too over powering. The veal milanese was average at best A bit dry and too much mozzarella on top. Just not that appealing. The desserts were the highlight. The chocolate olive oil cake was terrific and huge. You have to share it. The service was accommodating but our waiter disappeared for long stretches. Nonetheless the enormous space was packed. My friends enjoyed their pastas but weren't blown away. I hope this was just an aberration. I'm going to Quality Meats for my birthday in two weeks! Haven't been there in years either.
It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty but also clean & quiet. I sat at the bar on the 2nd floor. The fresh baked bread they served was warm & delicious. I started with the filet mignon meatballs which were very tender. Then had one of the daily specials: fusilli with a filet mignon sauce. Which was ok but there was something off with the texture, it had a crunch to it like shavings from a hard candy. For dessert I went with the Amarena cherry ice cream cake, again ok but since it wasn’t fully defrosted the bottom layer of the cake was a bit off. Not that any of this stopped me from finishing any part of my meal other than the ginger ale chaser for my whisky lol
This restaurant has a fun, lively atmosphere—definitely a great spot for a group outing. The vibe is energetic and upbeat. The staff was very friendly and attentive, though the service felt a bit more formal than expected given the setting. The food was solid overall—pasta was cooked well and the flavors were delicious. Everything we tried was enjoyable, but nothing stood out as particularly memorable. A good experience if you just want some well cooked food in a reliable spot.

Excellent find on avenue of the Americas.... really great food. Fabulous roman salad with chicken and great meatballs. Wine and gelato topped it all off. Excellent waiter, friendly and attentive.
Some highs and lows with our visit. We had reservations and didn’t have to wait to be seated. We were seated at probably the worst table in the house, right at the entrance to the kitchen and it was nonstop traffic right at our table. Other than that the ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. Our server was very good other than he didn’t return to the table after each course was served to ask if everything came out ok. The food was mostly great, the octopus app was very good, the veal also was good, the spicy lobster was not. The pasta and sauce was very good but the lobster was a tiny tail that they over cooked and stick to the shell. I got very little meat for one of the most expensive mains on the menu. The best part of the evening was the dessert, Sticky Toffee pudding. IYKYK. Order it.

While the food itself was excellent, the service and overall handling of a serious safety issue were unacceptable. I’ve worked in both the food industry and hospitality, so I’m never quick to judge or overly harsh. Unfortunately, my experience here was truly disappointing. The food was great. We ordered the chicken parmesan, two pastas and the corn crème brûlée. Everything was outstanding. That is the only reason this restaurant received one star. The remaining four stars are lost due to a dangerous and poorly handled situation. As my husband and I were finishing dinner, I reached for my coat and purse and immediately had to throw my purse down because the chain was extremely hot. I was confused at first, then realized the wrapped pole next to my seat was dangerously hot. The heat transferred to the chain of my purse, then to the leather itself, causing visible cracks and indentations. For context, this is a Chanel purse. Because the dining area was very dark, I initially couldn’t fully see the damage. My husband and I went downstairs near the entrance where there was better lighting, and that’s when the damage became clear. I then asked the front staff member, Durin, if I could speak with the manager. Durin appeared speechless and unsure how to react. The first thing he said was that the manager was busy and asked me to leave my phone number so I could be called back. He did not ask if I was okay, did not assess the situation and did not ask where the hot pole was. I was shocked. I asked him how he knew the manager was unavailable and requested again that he check. He left for about two minutes and returned to say the manager, R.C., was busy and could not speak with me. If a paying customer requests to speak with a manager over property damage and a safety concern, I don’t understand why that wouldn’t be addressed immediately. I was willing to wait. It was barely 7 PM. Durin handed me the general manager’s business card and told me to email R.C. He assured me multiple times that they would resolve the issue and that they would take responsibility, emphasizing that they are a restaurant group with over ten locations in NYC and that they would not ignore me. Frankly, that response came across as dismissive and stuck-up. I don’t care how many restaurants you own if you can’t offer a simple apology, ask if a guest is okay or have a manager speak directly to a customer about a dangerous condition in your dining room. He also assured me the restaurant would cover the damages. It has now been over two days, and I have received no response by email or phone. I am extremely concerned that guests are being seated next to a pole that becomes hot enough to damage personal belongings. This is unsafe and should never happen in a restaurant. Excellent food cannot make up for unsafe conditions and a complete lack of accountability. I've included the photos of food and hot pole here.
