Opinions de Seven grams New York
I highly recommend their House Blend beans. Their filter coffee and original chocolate chip cookies are exceptional, so I made sure to visit them at least three times during my stay.
They serve proper third wave coffee and their service is nice and friendly but this chocolate cookie is just shocking. If you like chocolate and intensity, it might be one of the best cookies you will ever try. I am so glad my hotel was in walking distance.
I went here today with a friend who raved about Seven Grams' vegan tahini chocolate chip cookie. And now I'm also in love with this cookie! It was one of the best cookies I've ever had (vegan or not). The tahini provides a great nutty flavor. It was a little underdone, so the inside was gooey, which I love. 10/10 cookie, I can't wait to have it again!
The staff were so kind and sweet. Got their matcha latte, very beautifully made. Got to also try their red velvet cookie and I devour the whole thing. Must get their cookie if you’re there.
THE gooiest chocolate chip cookie there ever was!! The consistency is dense and thick. Almost like a cookie dough. So, so good. Their chocolate chip along with the matcha raspberry are my favorites. Definitely one of my favorite cookie spots of all time!
Their cookies are so good, especially if you’re lucky enough to arrive when they’re still warm from the oven. I love the matcha white chocolate chip and also the peanut butter dark chocolate chip. It’s a nice spot to sit with a cup of coffee. Seating is somewhat limited but I’ve always been able to find a spot.
Great spot to get work done! I went around 11am on a weekday and it wasn't super busy. They have plenty of seats as well as outlets, and they have a bathroom. I had a cappuccino with oat milk (they also carry soy and almond), and it was nice and strong. They also have a wide range of pastries, both savory and sweet, with some vegan options.
Perfect mocha. Absolutely delicious chocolate almond croissant. Not too difficult to find seating on a weekday morning. Pleasant space. The only drawback is the bathroom. Some effort should be put into making this a more attractive space & adding decent hand soap. It is many steps down for a fine establishment like this.
Cortados and cappuccinos were perfect. Got 4 kinda of cookies, which were delicious. Quick, accurate, and pleasant service
Seven Grams Caffe delivers some of the best espresso I’ve had, hands down. The taste is everything you’d want from a classic Italian-style espresso—rich, bold, and perfectly balanced with just a touch of sweetness and a velvety crema. Each shot is consistent, with no bitterness or off-notes, just a clean, smooth finish that leaves you wanting another sip. What impresses me most is the consistency. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, the quality of the coffee is always spot-on. The beans are clearly top-notch, and the skill in preparation shines through every time. If you’re serious about espresso, this is where you want to be. Pure excellence in every cup.
The BEST coffee in the city! I love seven grams. their chai and matcha lattes with oat milk are my go to. the pastries also dont disappoint. I love their gooey cookies. I also just tried this gooey VEGAN blueberry scone today - it’s so delicious - and VEGAN!! They also have seasonal cookies and pastries
Gourmet coffee and pastries at its finest. Recently took a visit to grab some latte and an almomd croissant. The latte was very smooth and it served as a great complement to the croissant which was phenomenal. Enveloped inside a perfectly crunchy and buttery outer layer, the almond flan also added an ideal amount of sweetness to the croissant. They also had plenty of seats available and great ambience for work and study.
Nice and easy place to start your day or just grab and go. Nice and laid back atmosphere. Nice selection in baked goods (some wee flies buzzing around but it is NY). Coffee was pretty good. Service was friendly, helpful and pretty fast. Double chocolate and pistachio cookie bake and blueberry scone were 🤤😍
Another Gem from Seven Grams Caffé – Madison Avenue Edition After several visits to Seven Grams Caffé on 7th Avenue, I finally had the pleasure of visiting their Madison Avenue location—twice in two days, no less! It’s safe to say my expectations were high, and this team exceeded every single one of them. I want to give a special shoutout to Fern at Madison Avenue, whose world-class service left a lasting impression. From the moment I walked in, Fern’s attention to detail, kindness, and genuine passion for their work elevated the entire experience. Just like their 7th Avenue counterpart, this location delivers meticulously crafted coffee and desserts that are both thoughtful and indulgent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a quiet moment or catching up with friends. Whether you’re exploring this part of the city or looking for a café that feels like home, Seven Grams Caffé on Madison Avenue is worth the visit. It’s not just a café—it’s an experience.
Best coffee shop I've been to in the midtown area over the last 2 weeks! My preferences lean to coffee-forward third-wave style cafes, and this place doesn't disappoint in that regard. The cortado (aka Gibraltar for some my west coast folks) was made correctly with well-crafted espresso. The croissant was actually delicious, with a flaky exterior and gooey interior. The equipment they use in the shop is top notch. These are true coffee people here! Also quick note based on another review I saw: if you don't want a lot of milk in your milk-based coffee drink, get a cortado or a cappuccino. Lattes have a lot of milk. Or ask for less milk.
This morning at Seven Grams, Hendrix (I believe, but maybe Henderson was his name) helped me with a 10-cookie order and thoughtfully labeled each one—such a small detail, but it made a big difference. I also asked for just one pump of vanilla in my latte (I’m type one diabetic), and they were kind, accommodating, and didn’t miss a beat. The cookies? Gooey, rich, perfectly baked, and packed with flavor. Great service, incredible treats—Seven Grams delivers every time.
Loved it here! So sad they’d run out of the pumpkin choc chip seasonal cookie but I got the tahini choc chip one to takeaway. Was recommended by a friend back in Australia! Did not disappoint! Loved the pumpkin nitro cold brew (all vegan and huge vegan selection of coffee and treats and takeaway baking mixes). But sad the nitro coffee wasn’t mixed well and so sickeningly sweet at the bottom I had to throw the bottom part away sadly
I had an absolutely wonderful cup of coffee (AND received great/warm service!) at this establishment this morning and got a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie to go. I just had the cookie…hours later, and OMG…I’m dead. SO DELICIOUS. 🤤
Nice staff and pretty fast! I ordered a hot chai latte that I really liked and my friends got some of their cookies that they enjoyed. Cute place, good amount of seating, very clean - I will be back!
I used to grab cappuccino and gelato as soon as I arrived at Penn Station for city adventures, but that has been changed to cappuccino and classic chocolate chip cookie once I came across this gem. Just a few blocks but well worth it. The lemonade + nitro cold brew is now my goto drink while it is available.
Absolutely must go!!! For starters, incredibly kind, professional and fast staff. Also perfect latte and the best cookies I’ve ever had!!! The perfect balanced sweetness and texture. I got the vanilla latte, matcha cookie and classic chocolate chip cookie. I need there to be more locations so I can go all the time. I’m hooked now
No doubt the best cookies in town!!! I needed some sweetness and a little break from a wet day in NYC, and Seven Grams provided it all. I had the Biscoff cookie, which was absolutely delicious, and an oat milk latte with some pretty latte art that I know isn't easy to pull off with that kind of milk. Shout out to the barista! They have a lot of different cookies to satisfy any palate and free Wi-Fi if you need to get some work done, 10/10! Next time, I will buy a tray with a selection of cookies to bring into the office and share with the rest of the team from Supp! See you soon 🍪
Great coffee shop! I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a croissant — both were delightful, and the croissant was fresh and fluffy. The atmosphere is clean and modern, yet still fun. It’s a perfect place to work and also great for people-watching, whether you’re seeing folks pop in for a quick coffee or settle in to get some work done. I highly recommend!
Best coffee shop in the nomad area! They serve a delicious espresso with chocolate and caramel notes. It gets pretty busy during prime time but the baristas work like crazy to get drinks out on time. After the rush hour subsided i went up and told the baristas how much i respect how hard they were working (there was easily 15-20 people in line and for a small coffee shop that’s a lot). Despite the rush you could tell they were making each drink with care. I didn’t think anything of it and say back down after saying this, but their director David came over and introduced himself to me and gave me a free chocolate chip cookie! I’ve had their cookies before and they easily one of the best cookies in the city. On par with Levain.
I stopped by to try the cookies. They are tasty for sure. Most people will enjoy them. They were very soft and gooey, the not fully cooked type of gooey. They were also sweeter than my tastes. These are just my preferences, though. Plenty of folks love the warm, gooey cookie. I prefer fully baked cookies, but not going to throw shade on a very solid product. The cookies are a bit pricey. I paid 13$ for two. Cute place though.
I love getting my ooey-gooey cookie fix here! Pretty pricy but hey, it’s nyc. The classics and matcha are my go-tos, but I’m excited to try other flavors next time. Always a treat!!
Single latte cost me over $8. If you like strong coffee this place is not for you; there was way too much milk in my latte.
It is a very bright and airy cafe - the seating is decently comfortable but there’s not a lot of it. This place has the best chocolate chip cookie in new york, although the coffee and the matcha cookie is not great.
Came here for a coffee and to try the cookie. It was good but not outstanding as per some reviews here. Maybe because the cookie wasn’t fresh from the oven therefore not soft and warm as I was expecting. It was good, but just a regular cookie you can also get in Starbucks for less.
Cute small coffee shop with a handful of baked good options. One long communal table seating about 12 people and 6 individual tables that can seat 2 each. Wifi and restroom available for customers. The space is small enough that side conversations don’t echo and aren’t too loud. The coffee was good. Nothing special. I got the chocolate chip scone which I thought was also ok. All in all, good cafe for studying or working.
This place popped up as having one of the best chocolate chip cookies in Manhattan, so obviously I had to try this. Got a matcha latte as well as the regular chocolate chip cookie (the vegan ones weren’t available) and it was a smaller cookie compared to other ones I’ve seen, but did have a generous amount of chocolate chunks. It was on the crispier side. There’s free wifi and there is seating indoors. They have cookie bags available for purchase, so I got some matcha white chocolate chip ones for my sister. She said that they reminded her of muffins (in a good way).
Modern style coffee shop. This place is set up for work (work alone or meetings), the majority of the people had laptops and were working. They have a selection of beverages and pastries. I found the place not very cozy, just for the way it is set up (all white); I wouldn't go there to read a book. Prices are at Starbucks level.
Nice little cafe located close to Madison square park with ample number of snacks (including many vegan options) and hot drinks to choose from at decent prices. They also have whole, skim, almond and oat milk options. Their chai is quite good and flavorful. However, the vegan chocolate cherry scone I had was bland and the texture was quite off.
Very airy and modern vibe with lots of seating available. There was a short line when we arrived but it moved quickly. Lots of pastry options, but we went with the chocolate chip cookie and chocolate almond croissant. Chocolate chip cookie had a cakey consistency, but not bad. The croissant was really good and had a good ratio of chocolate and almond filling. For drinks they don’t have a traditional vanilla syrup so I got their iced vanilla lavender latte. Really good and I’m a fan of lavender so I didn’t mind it. I would say you get both vanilla and lavender flavor in the drink.
Went here because someone said they have vegan cookies and yes they do! They have 3 vegan options, 1 chocolate chip cookie and 2 scones. There are plenty of regular cookies here and I kind of wished they had another kind of vegan cookie rather than 2 scones. I didn’t try their coffees. Place was cute. Seating inside. I knocked off a star because the cookie is tasty but quite greasy for me. I liked the richness and slightly undercooked cookie though.
Super nice dudes working here! Iced tea is delicious. Coffee is great. Iced latte we got tasted like horchata. Nice, clean little cafe with natural wood decor and good music that isn't too loud. Comfortable but not real big, so seating likely fills up. Would definitely come back if I was in the area more.
Huge selection of cookies and amazing service, they gladly warmed my chocolate chip cookie up for me. Tbh the actual cookie wasn’t all that great. Good for a cookie but blander than the other options in the city. That said, the other flavors looked great so worth trying. This one is straight up melted in the middle so if you’re into that you’ll love it.
One of my favorite coffee shops. It's not huge but still spacious between seating. Always clean. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for. They are my favorite cookies in the city. They are always soft, thick and tasty! They are pricey at over $6. I've had the cappuccinos and iced lattes and they are tasty too. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Ambiance is pretty chill. It's not noisy nor is it "library" quiet. I hope they open a location in midtown soon.
Only ordered a chocolate chip cookie so not the best judge on there food. Cookie itself was very delicious. The tiramisu latte was nice. Couldn’t really finish it a bit too creamy/ milky for my liking. The redeye was great though - love a strong coffee. Staff super friendly! I’d like to come back and try something different.
Nice spot to treat yourself to a delicious gooey cookie. Lots of table space so also a great spot if you want to get a coffee and work from there. Matcha cookie was really good, the right softness to break apart in easy pieces, and made gooey by the white chocolate chips inside. Staff are nice and easygoing, good vibes all around and good soft music in the background.
The man working at 6:30pm on Wednesday night refused to give me a bag after I bought 2 cookies and a latte. He said they were 50 cents each and seemed irritated I would even ask. So note, bring your own bag, since they don’t provide them here. Great coffee and cookies though 🍪
Cold brew was okay, cookie was amazing, the man who rang me up was rude. I believe it was ~ $13 for a cold brew with flavor and cookie. I came on a Thursday afternoon and was able to find a seat but there are a lot of people who were working from there so could be good if you’re a WFH person, not for me
Rude staff. Went in to get a coffee and some cookies for my colleagues. I pointed and I asked for 2 of each from a specific area of the display. To the girl behind the counter It was like I insulted her family and asked the dumbest question she had ever heard. She was practically rolling her eyes. Weirdest vibe ever, cookies were good though.
Fast food coffee. If you’re looking for a decent cappuccino do not come here. At least on Saturday mornings lol. Asked worker who took my order would they call me when my drink was ready and he said yes. They didn’t call me. So my drink was sitting on the counter for longer than it needed to. That said, there was plenty of seating. It’s a decent place to get work done, but again…don’t go looking for good coffee (or service tbh).
I wandered in b/c the tiramisu latte they were advertising looked good. I went to order it - $14. Seeing that, I left. Yes, New York is expensive, but $14 for a latte?
The chocolate chip cookie is over priced its $6 a piece and i would recommend they choose good belgian chocolate for it instead of what they are using right now as it tases like semi sweet chocolate chips.
got the pumpkin spiced tiramisu for almost $15. stick with the regular pumpkin spiced latte, not worth the up charge for the tiramisu. the cashier who also took my order had a really strong breath lol
I had an unfortunate experience at this coffee shop recently. I went in to try the Spice Pumpkin Latte for the first time. When my order was ready, I was given a latte with a huge amount of ice. I mentioned that I couldn't drink it with ice. In response, the barista rudely snatched the coffee from my hands and said she would remake it. This made me uncomfortable, so I asked for a refund. When I requested the barista's name, she ignored me. The manager joined the conversation, and when I asked for their names again, the manager said, "If you want to discuss it now, I'll come over," but still no names were given. I picked up a bag of cookies to demonstrate to the manager how the employee took my coffee, but he seemed displeased. I explained that the employee had taken my coffee in the same abrupt manner, which I found upsetting.
Price is outrageous, $9.50 for a vanilla latte is wild.
Had a horrible experience. While I was placing my order, the older man with a beard taking the order was extremely short and dismissive when we were asking what the flavors were. When I asked if my cookies could be served warm, he said that they had just come out of the oven so they are still warm. We had no problem with this until me and my friend got the cookies and they were rock solid. I have eaten your cookies many times and they are always gooey and soft, so I know how they are supposed to taste. When I asked another staff member if they could be heated up, the same man started aggressively shouting no from across the cafe, causing a scene and making me and my friend very uncomfortable. At that point, I lost my appetite and no longer wanted the cookie. I went to the counter and asked another woman working if I could get a refund and she tried to shame me for wasting a cookie. It wouldn’t have been a waste of a cookie if the other staff member hadn’t refused to heat it up for me. Additionally, you should be more concerned of how your staff berates customers than a waste of a cookie— especially coming from a bakery, which typically throw out dozens of baked goods daily. Just since you’re having a bad day, it’s not an excuse to project and take it out on everyone else. I work in hospitality too, but it really applies to everything.
Wow these employees are inept and disrespectful of their customers. It should not take 15 minutes to get a coffee on a Saturday afternoon when they aren’t that busy. Four employees were standing around doing nothing, while one was very slowly making coffee. The cups they use are low quality garbage that leak. One coffee was $5.50!! And the service is terrible. The manager on duty on August 17, 2024 at 2 PM should be terminated and barred from ever working in the food service industry again, anywhere! This place is horrible, there are 10,000 better coffee shops anywhere and every everywhere around Manhattan. Avoid at all cost!
Ordered the tiramisu latte. Do not recommend at all - it wasn’t good tiramisu flavor, nor was the coffee quality good. I’m mad I spent $15 on a terrible latte
I was a regular customer at this cafe, I got all my coffee and my cookies here. Until one hot spring day I came with a coffee from my friend’s university buffet and asked them to add ice in my cup. The tall man with glasses (probably the manager) said it’d cost me $2. I thought it was a joke and continued with: “haha I only have 50 cents”. Judging by his stare, I understood it was not a joke, and I asked to clarify, to which he said: “You haven’t gotten your coffee from us”meanwhile trying very hard to distinguish a logo on my cup, but unsuccessfully (of course, because it was a free coffee from a school buffet). And I said, that I usually do get my coffee and cookies here, to which he didn’t seem to respond. All the other workers knew me, so by the look in their eyes every single one of them was telling me they didn’t understand why he’s behaving like that. It’s just ice. On a hot day. For a regular customer. So I had to leave quite embarrassed and with a ruined mood for the rest of the day. People like him shouldn’t work in hospitality and service. Never come back.
The barista serving me had really bad breath, bad enough to completely turn me off from wanting to eat or drink anything. The cookies were also not good at all… do not recommend
