A cozy cafe with a couple of tables and bar seats inside. The staff are really nice and helped me pick out a rhubarb danish (which I hadn't had before) which paired well with the latte I got. Definitely will come back or stop by if I am passing through.

So cozy with games and books you can borrow. Staff is friendly and I recommend the white mocha latte (I had it with pistachio milk) 🥰🥰 you can work on your laptop for up to 60 mins with an order and there's free wifi. Limited seats.

I absolutely love Zelma’s! I’ve been going for a while now and will definitely keep going. I almost don’t want to give it so good a review because then more people will come and it will get crowded but Zelma’s is so good it deserves all the love First of all — coffee is immaculate . Wonderful service and delicious every time! The lady at the counter is so sweet and gives good recommendations when I can’t make up my mind. Second, the cafe is extremely clean and great for studying. They have 5G WIFI! This is how you know they care~ the bathroom is also great! It’s always annoying to sit down and study then realize there isn’t a bathroom. Zelma’s is 10/10 in environment and atmosphere. Everyone has a good time. There’s a little chess and checkerboard in the corner and I resolve to play someone there one day. It’s so cute As the weather warms I’ve noticed Zelma’s to get busier and sometimes there is no room to sit. Oh well, I’m glad people are appreciating the cafe! 10/10 - my fave coffee place

Espresso is SO good. I got an almond milk cortado (hot) and the espresso was dialed in perfectly. The milk was high quality and steamed correctly. I sat in the outside area — so glad they have one. Chairs are small and not that comfortable but I’m glad they exist. Indoor area is small but super cute.

Exploring a new coffee shop that can effectively caffeinated you is one of those things needed to start off the morning right. I was pleasantly surprised when Zelma's opened up in the neighborhood. It's a small establishment, very clean, and neatly decorated with coffee signs, and small pieces of art. There was even a flower wall right by the entrance. There were pastries, a refrigerated section for yogurts and juices, everything you would need for breakfast. I got the latte to go. The barista was super nice and made it quickly for me. Coffee was full bodied, strong and better than anything I could make for myself at home. The only comment I would have is that the items on the chalkboard sign outside weren't on the menu inside, so that was a little confusing. I would love to return to have a coffee at the shop with a book.

I enjoyed my afternoon tea with blueberry danish and the atmosphere was absolutely great. It was nice, clean, they played quiet music and their seats are very comfortable. Also barista was very friendly.

Hands -down the best place for coffee lovers in the area. I ordered Cafe Latte and almond Croissant based on recommendation from Jessica. Writing this review as I am drinking the coffee and eating croissant here. I highly recommend. Enjoy

I have had coffee in every borough in the city and usually out of convenience chain shops is the go to, but after trying Zelma’s, anytime I am in the area I will go out of my way to stop in for their cappuccino. The beans were perfectly roasted Just the right amount of milk and their sugar free vanilla syrup is perfection. Keep it up guys!!

I’m there often enough that they have memorized my order, which never fails to brighten my day. Their beans are excellent, and their café au lait is the perfect blend with smooth flavor and just the right balance of coffee and milk. The menu is reasonably priced too, which is rare on the UWS. The shop itself is fun and inviting, with good music, interesting artwork, and comfortable seating. It also seems to attract genuinely kind people, which adds to the atmosphere. All in all, Zelma’s is an essential part of the UWS community, and I hope it never changes.

I got an iced latte and their tres leches cake. The latte was pretty good, with a solid flavor. The cake was not bad, and they do have a number of other pastries. I have had some very good cake in the past. It's in a good location, two blocks from the 1 train, so makes it convenient for passersby.

We have been here several times. The Golden milk is spot on. It's served to you at your table on a cute wooden tray. Beware kind of a high percent if you use your card. The place is cozy. We haven't tried the pastries so can't say.

Kind of disappointing? I’ve walked past a thousand times and it always look so cute from the outside. Their prices did not match the price board and $5 for a medium tea is pretty steep (and sadly it was not good). Starbucks is cheaper + better tasting. Safe to say, probably won’t be coming back 💔😢

The prices on the board aren’t accurate, you’ll be charged $2 more than the listed price without them mentioning it. When I asked why the total was higher than the menu, the cashier said “price increase” and pointed at a sticker on the wall that said the same thing. Very scammy way of doing business.

I was so happy to have Zelmas as good addition to our neighborhood. I am a very frequent customer. The other day I went in and saw a crappy piece of paper with sharpie type that said 'price increase' written on it stuck with tape on the menu. Not only did it look cheap and nasty, it did not display any new prices. I was charged $5.17 for a cup of tea!! Pure insanity. That's more than Starbucks!!! I asked if they were joking and they pointed to the crappy little nasty sign on the board. I will never go there again. Highway robbery. I feel embarrassed for them.
