hands down one of the best cafes in the county and best cafe on a ridge in the world. Best juevos rancheros in or out of town. Favorite smoothie is the aloha w/ spirulina. I just had the best sandwich I’ve ever had here and I’ve lived on the ridge for ten+ years, it’s called the SEAN JUAN breakfast sandwich. In house pesto spread on fresh focaccia with tofu instead of the egg, avocado as the choice of protein, onions, local heirloom homegrown tomatoes, and melted cheese of your choice.vegan chipotle mayo on the side 🤝

Make NO mistake about it: This is the best food and service you are going to find in this area. Any rating LESS than 5 stars will more than likely be some outsider of our beloved "Ridge", and can not possible understand why this stop could be sometimes slow, as food this good is cooked to order; staff is really busy because it is the ONLY Organic place around, and they may complain food is expensive, which for Organic, Hand-made with Love wholesome food using local ingredients, it is not all that bad. What you really have to understand is that the owners LOVE food, they LOVE you, unconditionally, and this joint is so funky and cool indoors and especially outdoors is that if you live here, you are eternally grateful for the "Ridge Stop". If you're passing through: TAKE YOUR TIME, and enjoy one of America's last freest places and spiritually uplifting places you're gonna find for a long, long time. Namaste!

Great food, excellent coffee and super cozy atmosphere make this cafe one we'll come back to. In a little town called North San Juan, Ridge Cafe caters to the locals. You can tell a great restaurant by how they treat their regulars. Smiles abound, greetings are yelled out to walk that enter. Sit in the front garden area, in the sunshine and enjoy Huevas Rancheros and your iced espresso. Wave to the motorcyclists driving by. Listen to the sound of a small town where everybody knows your name.

I’d like to give my compliments to the chef to the staff and to the management. I eat here every day. Today I ordered a Gracey’s Panini sub the bacon for avocado sub chipotle sauce and sub the chicken for tofu. I always create a very custom order and they’re happy to make it for me the Panini’s are amazing I also recommend the tofu chimichurri Panini. They’re fresh orange juice is amazing and the menu is extensive you really need to take some time to look at all the amazing things they have to offer. I’m making this review because my sandwich today was so damn good so thank you Chef

It's not everyday that you stumble across a good organic cafe on the back roads of California - but when you do, you need to tell someone about it. GOOD ORGANIC CAFE is something I'm always searching for, especially on the long, curvy drive from Donner Pass to Oroville. Outdoor seating, great BLT and blended mocha. Gluten free options too! Cool location, will be back for sure.

What a great spot! Stopped through en route to do some mtb and grabbed lunch (a teriyaki chicken-veg-brown rice bowl) to enjoy on their patio. Also snagged a cookie to enjoy later on the trail that was absolutely scrumptious. Staff were super sweet and everything delicious. Don't miss this place!

You will find wonderfully tasty and wholesome food at the Ridge Cafe, including delicious vegan and gluten free choices, prepared by kind, helpful staff. Food is great. I'm a bit bummed they wanted to charge $1 for salsa after already spending $25. Kind of funny.

Stopped in for a little breakfast ended up behind the cafe in a nice outdoor setting area enjoying my food and the shade. Nice a little hidden California.

I've been here twice now to see Lantz Lazwell and the Vibe Tribe. They are a fantastically lively bunch. Very entertaining and talented. Although service can be slow, the staff is quite friendly. Relaxed atmosphere with a whimsical backyard area complete with lots of flora, fairy lights and little fire pits. Plenty of seating and room to dance. I recommend checking out an evening show here.

Delicious food and great atmosphere that made me want to come back. #Yummy Coffee was not very good the next day and service was rude. Commenting negative on my order and a patron very assaulted me. I'd still go a third time to roundabout my overall experience because I've heard great things.

Been there twice. Burrito bowl was tasty, but we waited 40 min to get served. They were not busy. It had the NSJ culture. Good tea and coffee options. Needs some TLC!

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, unless you enjoy that 'dine with the homeless' atmosphere. We were sorely disappointed because the food was bland, a bit pricey and skimpy portions. We won't be back.

We had breakfast here this morning. The best feature is the outdoor, shady gardens in back. My friends avocado toast was terrible: two pieces of white bread barely toasted with a smear of avocado and a heap of nutritional yeast. My breakfast Sandi was ok but soggy. We each had Golden Milk that was “ok” but served a little warm instead of hot. Maybe it was a bad day?

This place is rediculouse if you want to wait all year for anything just to find out it's been ready and put aside the whole time with you standing right in front of themnthis is your place! Very very judgmental hippies that give dirty looks and call cops!

Halfway decent cafe trying to operate within a cesspool of a little town. No shoes, shirts masks or any other type of clothing is actually required. Won't be stopping by here anymore, I'll just wait till I get to town.

This place caters to the dark underbelly of a magical little town and leaves an unsavory taste in the mouth. Which is quite a shame since the food and beverages, though a bit high in price, are quite fantastic

Sadly dogs, the smell of their excrement and the accompanying flies have taken over the back yard dining area of the place making it really hard to want to sit and dine. A half-hour wait for a smoothie today when there are barely any paying customers is sad. And that’s with more people behind the counter than ordering. Still wish you guys the best
