As a non-binary person of color I did feel a little out of place with the usual crowd but staff if very nice and welcoming. I asked for a variant of a long island ice tea and bartender was very excited to make the drink at request. I do enjoy the music as well and need to experience karaoke night here so I will return.
One of tbe best Shhh dont tell
Great bar for older gay men. Strong, reasonably priced drinks. Nice vibe, friendly folk
Great local bar where everyone treats you like a best friend. The drinks are strong and delicious. Always our go to bar in Palm Springs.
No food; but the drinks are powerful. Great place to meet up with friends. One is able to talk with friends without ear-shattering music.
Best Karaoke host anywhere! And it's a great place to have a REALLY strong cocktail (or three if you can manage) and actually talk to friends - old and new.
Yup the best spicy Bloody Marys in town. Daily vodka and whisky specials. Splendid outdoor patio with a great mountain view ;) Just nice bar service, friendly always. Thanks!!
The bar has a wonderful neighborhood feel with good strong drinks at a reasonable price. The music is ify. They need to play fun music, not a loop that plays weird variety music. People leave when it's not good music.
I read a few reviews and some 1* reviews rate the age group of this bar and not the bar itself. This is not ok, if you're looking for a younger crowd don't go to Streetbar! But don't give a 1* review because you feel like the crowd is too old for you. Love this bar, the drinks and the people. Best bar on Arenas for drinks and just having a good time.
A bar full of friendly, happy Gay men and other members of the LGBT community and their friends. The bartenders and managers are the best. The drinks are strong and you get your money's worth. Streetbar is the oldest LGBT bar in Palm Springs and it has been around for so long because the regulars and tourists love it.
It's my "Cheers," my home away from home. Should I admit that?😁 Friendly staff, good libations, always a welcoming atmosphere and truly festive at every opportunity to observe a holiday. A real cross-section of patrons; someone for everyone. And by that I don't necessarily mean someone to hook up with -- though that's certainly possible sometimes -- but all age groups, and people are generally friendly.
Always enjoy meeting friends here. Best pours on Areanas. Generally, if you go during the day/afternoon, its a total local bar with the usual faces and poisons. HH crowd arrive around 4pm-5 and gets busiest around 6. A line will build as the space has a limited capacity of 250 which includes those in the outdoor patio areas. Staff is friendly. Be polite. Be courteous of others. If you're visiting, dont go in here with your bridal party. Not cool and definitely unwanted.
My go to place if I want to have a drink downtown and spend time talking with others. I go during the day and the bartenders - all of them - are great! Personable, great service and very respectful of the customers. And the "regulars" (and there are many) are an interesting group of people and make the experience even more enjoyable. An older crowd, many retired. A no attitude place to go in downtown Palm Springs. Try it!
Our friend took us there for a drink. It’s a local bar mainly for mature men. The bartender was fun and friendly. Really enjoyed the atmosphere there. The drinks were on the strong side. We had a great time. Definitely will go back next time when we visit our friends in Palm Springs.
This is by far the most friendly bar in Palm Springs. The staff Tommy, Justin, Mark and Jeff are super sweet, understand what customer service is all about and treat all customers with the utmost respect. The owner should be proud of them. Customers are super friendly and make you feel welcome. A no nonsense and game playing Clientele. Good times, good vibes.
Been going there for a decade and just now realized I never left a review. The employees at this bar make everyone feel welcome, and the service is always top notch. The bar seating is very comfortable and the crowd is great. Everyone always seems to be happy and friendly. Also, good crowd for an early afternoon happy hour, if that is your thing.
Gay Bar for predominately men 40’s yrs old plus, does not exclude women. Great atmosphere and lively patio. Active afternoons - 10:00 pm+/- Good friendly crowd! No food! Not a restaurant! Wall seating, some tables, large bar with seating. Events with small stage on certain nights. Has huge chandelier over bar that is decorated for every holiday!
My favorite bar in Palm Springs! Great bartenders, great lounge singer, and great prices for great drinks!! I will always come back here whenever I'm in PS. Great times and very friendly people!
Great place to celebrate with old and new friends. Attracts a mature crowd and very popular. Great drinks. Nice patio on Arenas. Stage with live talent. Christmas Eve was a great singer performing Frank Sinatra hits. Often filled to capacity with a line waiting to come in. Very friendly crowd having a great time.
This is a fun bar with strong drinks. Mostly older gay clientele and a mix of other people. Very friendly staff! Completely open now and No masks required!

This place is a wonderful place for older gentlemen's and some young. I picked out this place for the last 3 years. And the people are so wonderful. We make good friends.
This is a LGBTQ+ bar only, no food. Good strong drinks.
Lovely spot to unwind after work. The lighting is soft, and the playlist was a nice mix of chill indie and soul. I had a gin and tonic that was perfectly made — lots of fresh lime and just the right amount of tonic. The bartender was friendly and remembered my name by the second visit, which made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. The bar snacks are surprisingly good too — highly recommend the truffle popcorn.
Fun, fun, fun local "gay cheers" bar, where everybody knows your past 🤣
Popular local gay bar for the social "older" crowd. Very popular for happy hour. The usual to go to especially Fri-Sun. Good drink prices with generous pours.
Bartender Billy is amazing. If you tell him what you like, he will create a masterpiece. He's very entertaining as he flips this and spins that. I'm not sure what type of establishment this is, but I was with a group, and it was fun.
Aaron G. Beebe — Owner of GonnaHappen Streetbar – Palm Springs Streetbar is one of those classic Palm Springs spots where the vibe hits instantly — friendly, fun, and full of personality. The staff is welcoming, the drinks are solid, and the crowd brings that true Palm Springs community energy. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or looking to enjoy the nightlife scene, this place delivers every time. A great spot with good people, cool atmosphere, and the kind of local charm you can’t fake. Definitely worth a visit. #Streetbar #PalmSprings #GonnaHappen
Lots a fun here and very friendly staff with very friendly cocktails. Plenty of street parking and plenty of friendship. No food is served here, but there is an occasional lady that walks around selling tamales, and they're the best
One of the best bars on Arenas. Such a fun atmosphere and amazingly attentive service. This is a go-to bar for the "scene" in Palm Springs. Get there early on Fridays!
We had a fun afternoon at this bar today during Labor day weekend. Friendly crowd and the best ( Stiff ) drinks in Arenas. Bartender was nice and friendly. So much better than those in Weho’s.
Great ambiance karaoke night was fun and great drinks. Although the bartender did ignore us for about 30 minutes.
Great local place with strong drinks from a top notch staff!

One of the bars on Arenas. They've been there a while. An older crowd. Very roomy for when they get busy. The drinks were just OK. I ordered a Manhattan. It was weak. I recommend sticking to beer and shots. Service was good. Very fast.
Fantastic neighborhood bar! Drinks are generous, fairly priced and the staff is warm and friendly. They need to fix one process. When you go up to the bar to buy your drink, you have to stand over a filthy, dirty, stinking 55 gallon Rubbermaid garbage can. Granted, their footprint is tiny, but it’s offensive and unappetizing. For paying customers to have to put up with that health hazard is very unfair. Cannot believe that inspectors allow this process to continue. Plus, there are always two patrons sitting on either side of the garbage can and seem oblivious. Also, and probably no fault of their own, the place very often smells like septic tank back up. Between the huge garbage can and septic smell, it needs some work to be five stars. They have the fastest working, hardest working bartenders that exist anywhere. They over service the customers and try to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Security is great. They have a devoted and loyal following. Friday nights are a true circus. It is a PS fixture. Please guys, clean up your operational process.
Neighborhood 'cheers' bar with strong drinks and friendly bartenders catering to an older gay clientele. Lots of subtle changes taking place. Always very popular! No food service but outside food welcome.
An awesome place to visit. Except they judge you b4 even meeting you and they are stuck up. Before people were curious of a bew face in town and they greeted you and talked to you. Now they judge with out a simple HELLO! I greeted all who came in and walked by me but still noses turned up and attitude arose.
Street Bar is the ultimate "neighborhood bar" in the gay ghetto of resort-town Palm Springs... With great staff and great drinks, it's hard to have a bad time at Street Bar... The crowd is very diverse - from the old to the young... some have made Street Bar their only destination or a stop on their way to the next watering hole... The lighting can be a bit ... bright ... by some standards, but it's nice to be able to walk through the bar and not trip over somebody's leg or something. Some nights have "live entertainment" in the form of great singers or performers or drag queens... A good bet for your visit to Palm Springs - the P-Town of the West..! Appears to be cash only.
Great place to meet friends and new acquaintances with great drink prices in a safe haven. One actually can talk to someone without screaming unlike many other places (I'm talking...I mean shouting... to you San Diego "universe"!).
Excellent bar to hangout with older men.
Small gay bar. There are two rooms and the patio. The crowd is 40+. The music the night I went was 80’s if I recall. My drink was good and the staff was friendly. I think it would be a fun bar with a drag show or if they did a theme night like show tunes.
What a fun place to start and to wind down the night in. The drinks were strong and affordable, my Bacardi and orange juice, $5.50. The videos playing on the screens dotted around the bar were entertaining to the tenth degree, musicals, showtunes, film productions. The DJ kept them going and the clientele came and went, as did we, and fun was had.

Definitely not for lesbians even though this bar comes up for LGBTQ+.

What I like about this bar is it’s very relaxed vibe and friendly. If I didn’t want to go for karaoke and just sit and have a drink with friends I would give it a couple more stars. I think they are worried about music being too loud because while singing karaoke, I can’t hear myself much nor can I hear the soundtrack which is like a whisper. I mean, if you don’t want to have music playing there, don’t offer karaoke (this should be sweet music to the ears of people who do not like loud music in a bar).
Honestly? Not accepting credit cards in Palm Springs? In addition, the Atm charge a lot in addition during withdrawal. A clear negative point despite cool atmosphere and service.
Absolutely disgusting behavior tonight from the bar staff. Harassing non binary friends and purposefully misgendering them as the manager and another bartender throw them out. This bar is not safe for women or for trans and non binary people. My only regret is not dumping my drink on the counter as I walked out.
One of the bartenders there accidentally misgendered a patron (which the patron handled gently by saying that it's OK to make a mistake, but to please refer to them by their correct gender) and the bartender threw the biggest tantrum over it, REMOVED their drinks (which is not legal?), and had them thrown out of the bar. The patron in question kept insisting that it was ok the bartender got their pronouns wrong, they were just trying to be helpful, but the bartender kept going on about how he's just "being a gentleman by calling them ladies, and they look like ladies so he's going to call them that. For this to happen in any establishment is abhorrent, but to happen in a queer one is actually just so incredibly foul.
The bartenders are not very friendly, they discriminate if you are not local. They served one drink and said they won't serve anymore because I told them about the drinks I had prior to coming to this place. Customers were very friendly but bartender were not, they took the drinks from my hand that they sold to me. Disgusting and unprofessional. Worst
Racist establishment. The bartender loudly stated that my friends and I were “driving away all the customers”, simply because we were singing along to the music. And as we were leaving he loudly announced “good they’re leaving you all can come back inside”. Don’t come here if you’re not white, unless you want your beers with a side of racism.
Terrible service. Rude staff. Waited 20mins still no Latte. They don't care. Says its the system. Come on get your act together.
After 11:30 the ac is very high in the winter time. Bring your jacket sweetie.
