Opinions de Thai House Palm Springs
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt these people deserved the credit. EXTREMELY delicious food. Friendly staff and a nice quaint atmosphere. My gf and I are spice fiends, we buy about a pound of habaneros a week for dishes at home. We are also VERY picky (unfortunately)… This is the first Thai place in Palm Springs (and SoCal) that actually delivered when we asked for things extra spicy!!! I was sweating a little bit, which to me is a great indicator of heat. Fortunately for all you who don’t like crazy heat, they offer great flexibility on the level of spiciness. The food is seasoned extremely well, and I’m certain it is just as delicious at all levels of heat. We will be picking up some again to go when we leave for the weekend and will likely visit again next time we come to Palm Springs
Thai House serves delicious Thai food in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. The Spring Rolls, Papaya Salad, and Eggplant with Chicken were all delicious. I can't wait to try more dishes! The service was very friendly. This restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with a beautiful view of the Palm Canyon Drive strip.
Another of my friends places to stop at while in Palm Springs. Not all Thai food is the same because this place delivers delicious authentic Thai food. The owner you will see working most of the time is nice, friendly, and very helpful. Their isn’t one complaint I have in regard to this location aside from it being a bit small since it’s always busy I tho k they need a bigger location. But don’t let that stop you from eating here because you will love their food and return.
Very good Thai food and excellent service…. Some of the best curry I have ever had!
I am a local in the desert, and hands down this establishment has the best Thai food in the desert, and I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food.
I went here for the first time. I wanted to try the Pad Thai in downtown Palm Springs. I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp. Shrimp will be extra. You can choose your spice level. I chose level 3 and it was hot enough. The noodles were savory. I was able to taste the sweet with sour combination. The inside was cozy. Our waitress was very polite.
The food is only surpassed by the service, and while it's a simple, storefront, the gems they deliver from the kitchen belie the modest atmosphere. I had the Pad See Ew with beef, and the party shared some pot stickers, egg rolls, and spring rolls, all of which were delicious. And still the service was careful, thoughtful, accommodating, and the pinnacle of courtesy. Definitely go here.
The food here is so good complemented with great service! I and my wife had Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour stir fry, they are a must to try. Come here and you’ll not be disappointed.
Superb !!! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm genuine smile and were made to feel at home by the owner so we know we were in a right place. There should have been more pictures but we liked everything we ordered - everything was made to order and we even ended with something to go. Now what sets this place apart is honesty. After paying, I left my card in the restaurant not realizing until the next day... retraced my steps... and when I called the next day, the owner secured it for me and she even mailed it right away during the first business day. Good food + family friendly service + honesty = definitely a winner !!!
This is Thailand , put in a small box in the middle of the desert. I've spent a lots of time traveling and working in Thailand, and at the first bite of their green curry, I was back in Ao Nang, Thailand. They advertise "genuine flavors" and they are right. I always eat green curry and this one was the best I've had in years. We also tried fried rice with shrimps. Amazing. The restaurant itself is not that cozy or give the feeling of Thailand, but you'll go here for the food and service. That's the other thing about this place. The service is great! I usually don't give five stars if it doesn't have all the components such as taste, design, cleanliness , service. But this small box of Thailand deserves a five because of the food and service.
I am doing the digital nomad lifestyle and left New Jersey back in November. I have had Asian food only once since and that was down in Florida. I have been craving it for a while but refuse to eat it outside of the New York / Jersey area with the exception of California. So I just arrived in Palm Springs and knew it was time. I looked for restaurants near where I was staying and read a bunch of Google reviews and looked at websites and menus. I settled on Thai House and it was a great choice. The place was really comfortable for dining in, the staff was really friendly and the food was outstanding. I ordered the egg rolls and the mixed veggies with tofu, along with some hot Jasmine tea. I was beyond satisfied with the taste and I’d come back again!
Absolutely phenomenal! Thai House in Palm Springs delivers authentic flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. Every dish bursts with freshness, from the perfectly balanced Pad Thai to the rich, aromatic curries. The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and the service is warm and attentive. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Palm Springs — I can’t wait to come back!
Small place downtown, and my new place for curry. The fried egg rolls were pefectly crispy with thin crust. I liked their sweet and sour sauce too. The green curry with chicken was the best Ive had in quite a while. Fresh ingredients and very nice flavor. Some big strips of white meat chicken. I'll be back soon!
My wife loves Thai food. I've never had it. The place was small but clean, other people sitting in were chatting away quietly, nice atmosphere. Our server was friendly and she was quick. I had the yellow curry with chicken, my wife had the veggie fried rice with shrimp and we had the egg rolls for an appetizer. It was all really really good. We couldn't finish our food and our server packed it all for us nicely. We live down the street and we will be back.
If you're looking for *real* Thai food in Palm Springs, Thai House is the place to go. This is honest, authentic Thai cuisine — not the Americanized version many people expect (think Panda Express-style “Asian”). The flavors here feel true to tradition, and that’s exactly what makes it special. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about making your visit a great experience. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food is delicious — and the prices are even better. Authentic taste without the upscale price tag is always a win. Highly recommend if you want to experience Thai food beyond the usual Americanized take.
Really nice and cozy place. Stuff is amazing. Really generous portions. Soup and duck were delicious. Highly recommend this place.
Enjoyed a relaxing dinner and the service is wonderful!! I started with the Chicken Satay and then had the Eggplant stir fry with chicken along with Jasmine Tea. I'll definitely be back when in PSP again.
The country style curry is amazing! I’ve never tasted such deep flavor in the broth of a Thai dish. I got mine with a little extra spice. And the family that runs the restaurant are all personable and kind, especially Mom!
Great Thai restaurant in Palm Springs. Able to make adjustments for vegetarian/vegan requests. Spice levels 2 and 3 were about the same. Staff/owners were friendly and helpful. “Spicy noodle” is drunken noodle/pad kee mao.
Really great Thai food. Some of the best since I got back from Thailand.
Quick service, good sized plates and excellent prompt service. Indoor and outdoor seating available
Great Thai restaurant! The owners are super sweet and helpful. Everything here looked so delicious and ultimately I chose the green curry. I asked for it spicy and it did not disappoint. It was refreshing and filled me up just right. I also ordered the mango sticky rice which was absolutely delicious. The mango slice was generous and perfectly ripe that balance well with the rice! 10/10 would return anytime :)!
Had a great dinner here the food was really good. We tried the Panang curry and spicy noodles. We asked for spicy and all of the food had a good kick so this place can actually do spicy. The spicy noodles were definitely the highlight but portions were on the smaller side. The curry was good but a bit too watery. We prefer it to be a bit thicker.
Honestly, it is the best customer service I have ever received in a restaurant down town Palm Springs. We had a little mistake in the beginning with the coconut shrimp but our waitress quickly took care of it and even comped the dish for us, which we didn't ask for but are very appreciative for. We got the pad Thai and Tom Kha pot soup. Both were delicious and flavorful. The Thai tea was really tasty as well, they use actual half and half in it. Over all would come here again solely based on the customer service.

For great Thai food, this place hits the spots. The place gives hole in the wall vibes, and the food delivers. We got the yellow curry, pad Thai, fried fish, papaya salad, and pad see ew, all of which impressed me with tons of flavor. Thai ice coffee is a must try!

Listen, I didn’t eat here but five stars for the server who came out to the street when we were getting back into our parked car to let us know that someone had hit our car while parking and proceeded to leave. She let us know she tried to get the license plate but the driver saw her watching him and took off. She even offered us the surveillance camera footage if we needed it. I love a clear crime junkie / murderino girls’ girl. She was awesome. Thank you!!
Overall would go again. Drunken noodle was vegetable heavy and texture was a tad grainy near the end. That being said, the pad Thai with the addition of a side of Thai chili was phenomenal. Portions were a tad small for the price point but given the location and foot traffic the price is understandable. Lastly, the waitress was very sweet and added greatly to the experience.
Great Thai food in downtown Palm Springs! The service was quick and friendly in spite of us walking in on a busy Friday evening. The curries and tom yum soup were just right. We had a wonderful time!
This place was a great find! Ordered takeout; staff person taking the order was super friendly! Ordered Kung Pao Chicken (3/4 spice level); Best Kung Pao flavor, white meat, crunchy fresh peanuts, and great Thai heat! Also ordered Orange Chicken (1/4 spice level); crunchy white meat chicken, excellent flavor! Portions were on small side, but very good and enough for dinner. I'll be back next time I'm in town!

Really good Thai food! I liked the Tom Kha soup, lemony and creamy; lots of chicken and onions. The pad Thai was also a tasty dish. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the chicken, peanuts and sauce only added to the overall flavor. I personally could have used a little spice, but it was still pretty good. Their Thai ice tea is sweet and delicious! Great friendly service . Can wait to come back for the Spicy Basil.
I ate here twice. Pretty standard Thai food. I wasn’t crazy about the Basil Fried Rice. The Pineapple Fried Rice tasted decent but had a lot of empty calories with the rice and cashews (which some people might be fine with). I got 3/4 spicy and it was super hot which made the Basil Fried Vegetables more interesting. I guess I did get more vegetables in the basil dish but the sauce was super bland. Service was helpful and friendly and hard working.
Good authentic home style Thai. The lady that owns/runs the restaurant was super sweet. Not much for atmosphere, but simple and tasty Thai food.
Excellent service. Great friendly conversation with the servers/owners. Good food but small menu. I just wish they had a bigger selection of traditional Thai and regional dishes. Overall great experience!
Not the best Thai food we've ever had but it was right in downtown PS.

This small, casual, no-frills, family-run Thai restaurant offers consistently excellent Thai food and friendly service. The portions are generous enough to enjoy lunch the next day. It's our go-to Thai restaurant in Palm Springs.
I’ve been to hundreds of Thai restaurants, and unfortunately this one did not make my Top 10. We ordered the Tom kha and chow mein. The Tom kha with chicken, mushrooms, and onion had an uncharacteristic astringent flavor and the chicken was dry and overcooked - difficult to chew. The chicken chow mein with mixed vegetables also had the same quality chicken and overall fell flat on flavor. Our servers were generally friendly but service was 0.25X speed and we overheard waitstaff unprofessionally yelling a couple times. We were also stared down by waitstaff towards the end of our meal which made us feel quite uncomfortable.
I ordered a pad Thai and im very disappointed. Flavor was not great.. I couldn’t finish it. I was super excited about it but not anymore. It seems when I got there my order wasn’t ready. They asked me to wait 5 min and I feel like they rushed it. Would not recommend this place. They also gave me a fork instead of chopsticks
Dang, I really wanted this to be good as delicious thai food is extremely hard to find. Let's be real, good any kind of food is really hard to find here in coachella valley... thankfully they exist, sadly its amongst a sea of cash grab eatery's. Okay on to the review review Pad Thai: this dish is my barometer on gauging a Thai places passion and food quality. Admittedly not a great one as some more authentic dishes like spicy basil for instance could have more passion out into them however, there is logic to my decision here. If a place isnt interested in serving a high end, authentic, nice a wet plate of Pad Thai, then everything else would be hit and miss with less consistency... food is at an all time high so im very strict with where I spend my money. I do like to try new places (hence this visit) so here we are. Ever since the greatest thai place within a 70mile radius went out of business (really awful location and unapologetically authentic) the search for the next best thai place continues. What you get from Thai House here is yet another very generic plate of dry Pad thai. I even had to ask for them to add green onion because otherwise they serve it with green beans or bean sprouts... I could care less about that though.. here im going to educate you and I hope it serves you well... you can always tell a delicious Pad thai by 2 things... first the less important thing, the transparency of their noodes... the more transparent the noodle, the more likely they are made in house. Also they taste infinitely better than the generic store bought nonsense you get at most places (including this place). The second and most important way to visually tell solid Pad thai is how wet it is. Yes, the shinnier/wetter the better. This solidifies freshness and in house made sauces. The sauces used here at Thai House are generic... id wager not made in house. Their hot sauce was the same bottled acidic , more ingredients you cant pronounce, you get at most "Thai" places... id absolutely pass on this place. The people were very nice but they are not passionate about their restaurant... id sit down at a table and have this conversation with them face to face... they dont care. Anyway, the adventure continues! Dont waste your time or money here sadly.
The service was horrible. We came in and asked for a table, and the server/host told us an outdoor table would be ready in a few minutes for our party of seven. The server/host even showed us exactly where we would be sitting. While we were waiting, another large party arrived. When our table became available, that group argued that they had arrived first, even though they clearly had not. Despite knowing this, the server/host gave our table to the other family. To make matters worse, the other family surrounded me as I spoke to the server/host and insisted the table was theirs. The entire situation was handled very poorly and made me and my party extremely uncomfortable. I will never return to this restaurant.
This was our first time trying this place as a local. We have another go to Thai restaurant, but we decided to give this one a shot. First off including tip for carry out it was almost $90 for two of us. It certainly did not feel like $90 worth of food. Second, we ordered a hot pot of tom kha soup And they put it in a large cold beverage cup with a plastic lid on top. By the time we got home and opened the soup, the lid had melted into the soup with broken plastic in it. We were unable to salvage anything but a taste. The rest of the food was just OK Nothing extraordinary and portions were small compared to other Thai restaurants in town. We wanted to love it, but didn’t.
