Wow services was 100% it was our first time there and it was great our server was very nice and polite and her customer service was great yes I do recommend this place it a great place to come and enjoy food and drinks.
Authentic Mexican food restaurant w/ great service & value. The food is delicious & highly recommended
Had a great time, the waitress Thiara was great and so sweet. They have AMAZING Birria Tacos 🌮
Excellent!! We go here often during the day & the food is always excellent. The service is consistently great & the food delicious.
Great food, but the server had a little bit of an attitude and was not always present.
The Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to huge portions, great drinks They offer something for everyone from mozzarella sticks to chicken fingers for the peolpe who would prefer that over great authentic mexican food. For a family or get together there will be something on the menu for everyone. They have the best service & staff is friendly professional and top notched. Ask for Jenny for your server she's is excellent, friendly and professional she made us feel like we were family. I recommend if your looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and the best in Rochester visit this great restaurant 😋
This place manages to serve a ton of different Mexican dishes hot and fresh to your table, in short time as well. The food is really great. The only place I've seen that serve the chips with refried beans. They are good! If you get fresh guac they make it right in front of you and you have the choice of what goes in. There may be a small language barrier , but that's expected at a good Mexican place.
I had the Ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection. The rice was slightly mushy and the drink I got was too sweet but it got me buzzed so I didn’t care. If I am ever back in Rochester again, I would definitely come back.
We decided to try the new restaurant in Greece, New York, M Rancho Alegre, on the spur of the moment for lunch. From the time we walked in the door we were impressed with the festive interior design and the very friendly and welcoming staff. The dining rooms have a lot of beautifully carved wood booths. The bar is large and inviting. Our server was friendly, helpful and very polite. He helped us with questions on the menu and sauce options, etc. He brought chips, salsa, and the most delicious dish of pureed beans, garnished with a crumbly Mexican cheese and onions. Although I have never understood the interest in refried beans, this dish changed my mind on what is possible when they are prepared, right! These are the caviar of beans! When the food arrived, it was plated beautifully, and the aroma was amazing. I had a thin, but large steak (maybe a flank) that was seasoned and cooked perfectly at medium rare. It came with two sides, salad, tortillas, and sauces. It was delicious! I cleaned my plate! My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla that she loved! We had an amazing dessert of churros that had a soft creamy center, wipped cream, chocolate, and a cherry! Wow, were they Delicious! We also went to MI Rancho Alegre a few weeks later, and again, we experienced great service and food! I HIGHLY recommend going out of your way to the west side of Rochester to enjoy MI Rancho Alegre off Ridge Road west at the intersection of I390. The entrance is off of a side street just north and east of I390. See you there!

Mi Rancho Alegre- everything was delicious! Chips offered with bean and salsa, I always order the same chimichango whenever I eat Mexican, and the $30 margarita was the best on the drink menu.
Very authentic Mexican food with an extensive menu. Only draw back is bar tenders that don’t speak any English. Entertaining at first quickly becomes a pain. Great drinks and food. Go! You’ll love it.
This was our first time here and it was very good. The fajitas and pork burrito were tasty. Service was quick and accurate. I'm glad we finally made it.
Incredible experience at this lively and uniquely entertaining restaurant. The food was phenomenal, with huge portions, great taste and so many options. The menu is huge (18 pages), service was FAST (less than 10 min) and our waitress was great - super attentive and responsive. If we lived nearby, we would be here often! Keep up the great work.
Nice place newest Mexican Restaurant in the area. Get a BANG!!! for your buck, over 10 page menu. I must say I enjoy eating at Margarita, that’s down the road. This place has them beat by a long shot. I have dined in multiple times just to make sure I enjoyed their food and drinks. You have to go on a Sunday as well the refried beans with Shrimp comes free. That’s like a nice app itself. If you go I’m sure you’ll be pleased
The food was so good. We ordered entirely too much, not knowing how generous the portions would be. And their bean dip is incredible! I also really enjoyed my Virgin peach margarita - I can’t wait to have a real one after I have this baby. Thanks again for taking such good care of us. We will be back.
I made the trip to this new restaurant in our area and I couldn't be happier. The staff is attentive and accommodating, the place is well appointed with nice artwork and large booths and the portions are so huge we had to make a 2nd trip for dessert. I highly recommend the Cheesecake Burrito, big enough itself to share. I'm looking forward to going back for Taco Tuesday and a few trips in the summer for dinner around their outdoor fire pit. This is authentic Mexican fare at very reasonable prices.
My husband and I are from out of state. We stopped in to eat and let me tell you, this did not disappoint. Service 10/10, drinks 10/10, food...12/10! Get in here and try this, it'll change your life
New Mexican restaurant. It has the same vibe as all the Mexican restaurants. I have never seen any Mexican restaurant that gives bean dip with chips and salsa. The chips are always fresh, and the bean dip is great. We had chicken pollo mole and taco fajita salad. We ordered the lunch portion, which is lower in price than the regular ones. The lunch portion is more than enough for a person. It is a great place with cheaper prices.
I highly recommend this place it's a differently authentic food, and their easy on flavors have more selection on their menus. vegan foods and kids' food kid friendly atmosphere. There is much better drinks selection. Good people and polite. They have taste of music selection. It's pricey there's no going around the price because a salad cost 16$ to start off but above all it great so check them out.
Our entire experience here was Top Tier. From the customer service to the amazing food...I'd give this restaurant a strong 10! 🏆 🥇 The empanadas are some of the best I've had, I was absolutely blown away! 🤯 Everything was chef kissed.🤌🏿😙 I'm not even going to exaggerate at all... this Mexican restaurant is well put into my list of top 3 in Rochester, NY... HANDS DOWN! Kudos 👏🏿 SEE YOU ALL AGAIN SOON☺️🇲🇽
Stopped in on lunch and this place is very good! I wish I would have taken a picture. Prices were fair for the amount of food. The beans and chips were amazing! And the Chile colorado was the best. Food came out quickly and waiter met our needs. Thank you!
This is one of my and my family's favorite restaurants, and definitely #1 for us for Mexican food. Great food, great people, great vibe. We have been going there regularly since they opened up, we have never had a bad meal.
Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday, we were impressed. We had previously tried the food via delivery and it was good but we decided to stop in and get the real experience, honestly really glad we did because it was that much better. It's very nice and spacious inside, very clean and just pleasant to be there. Our waiter was very efficient and friendly, everything we tried was outstanding. We highly recommend Mi Rancho if you are in the mood for over the top Mexican food.
Absolute banger of a Mexican restaurant we are from Minneapolis, Minnesota and the Mexican restaurants. There are phenomenal so I wasn’t expecting something over here in New York to be this crazy good. Had myself to tilapia and even though I was full, I decided to finish my fiancé‘s plate because it was just that good. Also had a mango margarita just don’t remember what it was called exactly but it was absolutely awesome. Definitely plan on coming back to the restaurant when you come back to New York.
We moved to the Rochester area from Arizona a number of years ago and have attempted in vain to find a Mexican restaurant that rivaled what we had back there. Everything we tried fell far short of the standard we had become accustomed to. Until we found Mi Rancho Alegre. We no longer have to wait for a trip to Arizona to find superb Mexican food. The restaurant itself is spacious and nicely adorned. In short, the atmosphere is wonderful. Upon being seated we were treated to fresh tortilla chips, salsa, and a tasty, nicely garnished bean dip. Our waiter, who hailed from Mexico, was friendly and attentive. My party of five ordered various menu selections. Our daughter ordered the beef nachos which were piled high on a huge plate. I ordered the combination of three with my choices being a chile relleno, tamale, and chimichanga. The food was outstanding and the portions eye-opening. (Even the beer I ordered was colossal, served in a chilled glass mug.) I’m a big eater and it took all I had to finish my meal. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough – and look forward to many return visits.
This is an excellent location! I arrived here on a whim, and I'm pleased I did. I adore the atmosphere, and the salsa bar is a fantastic addition. The food was quite fresh and generously served. I sampled various Mexican beers, calamari as an appetizer, then quesadillas for the main course. The staff is also quite friendly, which is always a big advantage. I'll definitely be back!
My experience at Mi Rancho Alegre was Amazing! The service was top notch as our table was waited on by many service workers and our table was never empty of food as we were given many servings of chips and salsa. The alcohol and non alcoholic drinks were very generous in serving size and the margaritas especially were a perfect mix of alcohol and fruit! The food we ordered came out fast and was cooked to perfection, my carne asada was juicy and tender!. Overall Amazing experience from the food to the service. Great for celebrating, date night, or going to the bar for drinks. FIVE STARS ! Can't wait to go back
Our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Rochester area! Family run. A large menu, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, and super friendly service. Portions are large ... we had chicken mole and a trio of enchiladas (we ended taking half home). The guacamole was made tableside (nice touch). We finished our meal with really tasty flan ... so good. Go give them a try...you won't be disappointed!
Great food, great waitresses, service could’ve been a little faster, as it was not a busy time.
Happened in by chance and was impressed. Extensive food (9 pages) and drink menus (6 pages inc desserts)! Seemed authentically Mexican as everyone I encountered used English as a second language. Well I might add. Very pleased and will return. Congratulations on the 2nd location for your family business. Muy Bien! 👍
My husband and I went to Mi Rancho Alegre for lunch bc we wanted to try a restaurant we haven’t been to before. The restaurant is so cute! Very nice staff! And the food was delicious! Real veggies, real cheese, perfectly cooked meet! Oh and the portions were unexpected, my burrito was as long as my forearm! The total rounded up was $39 for the 2 of us dinning in! The night before we were out and stopped at Taco bell spend $41 on take out and we were still hungry after.. Mi Rancho Alegre was worth the try, as long as you like/prefer real Mexican cuisine you’ll love it!!
This was our first time at this relatively new restaurant. It is usually packed. It was indeed busy, but we were able to get seated immediately. The service was not up to standards though. Although we immediately got nachos we couldn't even get a glass of water for 15-20 minutes. The salsa was not my favorite. It had a bit of sweetness and no chunky tomatoes, onions or the usual. The bean dip was absolutely delicious! A little bit of tomatoes and cheese really sweet it off. A refill of chips was better than the first serving. This time the nachos were nice and warm. I had huevos with chorizo. I forgot the name of the dish. Delicious. Chorizo usually causes upset stomach for me but not at all this time. Nice warm tortillas set it off perfectly. The rice and beans were well done. Much better than most Mexican restaurants in our area.
The food was so good I felt like I was in Mexico, I really liked that they give shrimp ceviche and beans with your chips. I had a steak torta that was good as well, the meat was very tender and the portion was huge. What I didn’t really like was that the horchata refill is charged an extra 4 dollars but other than that everything was great.
Good Mexican Spot with Room for Improvement While staying nearby, my hotel recommended Mi Rancho, conveniently located right across the street. The service was welcoming, and my server was helpful in suggesting what to try. I started with the tableside guacamole, which was a bit of a wait and, unfortunately, lacked flavor. But hey, it’s guacamole—I still enjoyed it. For my main, I went with the Tacos Jalisco: three lightly grilled corn tortillas in a delicious house-made red salsa, filled with my choice of grilled chicken, topped with onions, cilantro, and queso fresco, and served with guacamole on the side. These tacos were excellent, hitting all the right notes with freshness and flavor. I’d definitely go back to try another dish and see what else Mi Rancho has to offer!
Overall very good! We went on a Sunday night and were seated right away. Chips and salsa were excellent. We had a fajita chimichanga, pork and pineapple tacos & chicken fajitas. Flavors were fairly good, we had expected shreaded pork and it was chunks, wish they had called that out on the menu. I loved the guacamole. Might have been the longest I have ever waited for Mexican (35 minutes). Bust clearly good quality ingredients and the staff were all very nice. We will be back soon!
First time trying Mi Rancho as it was right across from our hotel. You start off with chips, salsa and mole for free. My mom and I ordered the 3 combo plate and fresh guacamole. Coming from Canada we are stilling getting used to the portions so this was way more than enough food for the two of us. The guacamole was fresh and good. The 3 combo plate however was just average. Think Taco Bell but a little more refined. Like 0.1% more refined. The tacos came out soggy because it was touching wet stuff. The burrito was meh. The mole was good - salty and thick. The rice however is what saved it for us. It was absolutely delicious. If we would have gotten ground beef, rice and some salsa, sour cream and guacamole it would have been much better. The service was lacking however. Long waits for server and he was forgetful. My mom ordered a drink and it came after reminding server when dinner came. My cutlery was dirty and I notified the server upon him bringing the main dish and I had to get up after 5-10 minutes to remind him I still needed cutlery to eat. Don’t think we’d come back - we’d try somewhere else.
Never really had a bad meal here. Atmosphere is VERY LOUD, but very nice. I noticed that they also had a change in menu. Less options from what I could gather. I received a pistachio martini, which was more like pudding, with a very fake taste to it. The rice we received was cold, as well as the beans. Our waitress was super nice and didn't rush us. Felt like she was very on top of things, and was good with refreshing drinks and the tortilla chips. For the price and what you receive, very reasonable. You'll definitely have leftovers. Portions are large. For the one time out of many that I got cold rice, we will absolutely still return. It was super busy, and I get that. The entire staff is super friendly. Absolutely worth a try.
Mi Rancho Alegre is a solid spot for Mexican food in Greece, with moderate prices, excellent service, and some unique touches that set it apart. Right away, we were greeted with chips, salsa, and a bean dip at the table — a nice little bonus that made us feel welcome before we even ordered. For appetizers, we tried their Mexican-style fried calamari, which came with jalapeños and a honey-based dipping sauce. The sauce had a really nice flavor, but the calamari breading itself could have used more seasoning to really make it pop. Still, it was a creative twist on a familiar dish and worth trying. For my entrée, I went with the Tacos Pastor, and they were exactly how I like them: absolutely packed with pork and pineapple. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying, and the accompanying salsa verde was no joke — it had a burn that lasted nearly an hour, but I loved every second of it. The rice and beans on the side were also better than expected, with more flavor than you usually find at places that treat them as an afterthought. My wife ordered the Quesadilla Asada. She thought it was fine — tasty enough, but not something she’d rave about or call a standout dish. Overall, Mi Rancho Alegre delivered a friendly, flavorful experience with a few areas that could be punched up (a little more seasoning here, a little more “wow” factor there). Still, between the welcoming service, solid portions, and dishes like the tacos al pastor, it’s definitely a place worth visiting. A strong four stars.
We came in for Taco Tuesday. Great variety, Good price. Tacos Carne Asada, al Pastore, many good choices. Background noise was pretty loud but that means people were having a good time. Hard to hear the servers and they spoke Spanish as a first language. Another visit: We came in for dinner and set in the outdoor patio. Anthony was our server and he was fantastic. The food and the service were great.
Very nice place and a beautiful one. Customer service is awesome and the food preparation was fast. Recommended to go with families, children and everybody. The menu is good and has a lot of good stuff. Flautas and nachos are so good. Tacos of beef too. The bathroom is clean and nice.
Went on Saturday around 2pm with my cousins to catch up. Initially, the waiter Domingo seemed nice. We ordered drinks immediately, we ordered an appetizer and asked him to give us a few more minutes. As service went on he seemed to be agitated with us for no reason. However, we did notice how he was jovial with other customers. We decided to leave, he would not let us split the check, no problem. I'll put it on my card and have them pay me. As we were about to leave I asked to speak with him, to let him know how we felt we were being treated. He began so sing, ignoring me and then he walked off. That was the most disrespectful and unprofessional encounter I've ever had! As we were walking out, we noticed another table of African American women, who obviously were being treated the same way by the same waiter. We had a conversation with those women when they exited and they too were not happy with the service they received from Domingo. I sincerely hope you all don't treat all African Americans or any other person this way.
Came in with a group of 3 kids and 6 adults. We had empanadas, 2x queso with chorizo, birria tacos, chicken quesadilla, steak fajitas and a few others. While the food looked delicious, there's was absolutely no flavor to it. I had the birria tacos and it was so bland it tasted like just beef. Everyone what agreed that there was almost no flavor. The service was excellent, the drinks were good as well and it had a good atmosphere. Sadly I will not come back because the food is nothing to go back for. I would love to however since the menu is so large and has something for everyone.
Driving through visiting the area and decided to choose this restaurant. Menu has a Large selection. It was a group of five of us. Great Margaritas, good freshly made guacamole, could have used a little bit more flavor. Salsa? It is not salsa. When I asked our server about getting a different salsa, this one was watered down tomato sauce he said but it's free! I explained to him just because it's free, It does not need to be bad. I would be willing to pay for a decent salsa, especially since I ordered queso and freshly made guacamole. I also explained to my waiter that an appetizer that is given free is a preview of what is to come for your meal, if you serve a free appetizer that is bad. It is not a good image for your restaurant. (I'm not sure he understood what I was trying to say) The rest of our meal was good, the shrimp were overcooked, the food needed a little bit more salt and spices for my taste.
Was OK at best. Food was very bland, aside from the complimentary salsa with chips. Service was meh (waiter seemed bored or like he really didn't want to do his job), as well, and my stomach got upset later than night. I think maybe if they shortened their menu and concentrated on making the food good - rather than offering a hundred things to choose from - it might be better. Things like calamari really don't belong on a Mexican menu, IMHO. Can't honestly recommend this place if you truly enjoy Mexican food.
I took my family to dinner there about two weeks ago . We left with a chemical taste in our mouth . All we can smell with the cleaning solution they use . It was so strong that we couldn’t even smell our food . We had headaches when we got home . Please stop using fabuloso cleaning on tables .
This place was a huge disappointment. Let's start with what was good. The cheesecake burrito was pretty tasty. The overall portion sizes were decent. And my pickup order was ready on time. Unfortunately, the rest of the food we got was bland, flavorless, and underwhelming. The food was marked ready within ~5-10 minutes of placing the order, so perhaps I should have known... Our combo had enchiladas and a chili relleno with rice and beans. The other meal was a veggie chimichanga, also with rice and beans. Both sets of beans tasted like they were straight out of a can with nothing done to them. The chimichanga had what felt like plain steamed veggies. The chili relleno was the only item that had any real flavor, which really was just the cheese. It honestly felt like nothing was seasoned or salted at all. The salsa could arguably not be called salsa. It had the taste and texture of a can of pureed tomato sauce. There was nothing to it. The food wasn't awful or offensive, but it also was unbelievably boring for the price. We had to add our own seasonings & sauces to make the food more enjoyable - which for a $50 dinner just doesn't make sense. So long story short, I can't recommend this restaurant - and I highly doubt we will be returning.
I had dinner around 10pm and i ordered a steak quesadilla. I took my leftovers home and now im eating it at work i found this in it. The food is good, you just have to look carefully at what you're eating. I don't want to make a big deal out of this because I know accidents happen, but since they didn't respond to the message I sent, I decided to write it here.
Music was super loud. Couldn’t hear across the table. There were only 2 tables with people at 12:30pm; it did not bode well. The waiter wasn’t attentive, especially considering we we one of two groups of two there. I sat on the wobbly chair and went to pull it closer to the table and it was so wobbly it pinched my finger. I switched chairs and told a waitress about it and showed her how it was ready to fall apart and she ignored my comments. Fajita was filling and pretty good, but beans were cold. (Husband got different meal and his beans were cold too; maybe that’s the way they do it?). Salsa was awful and flavorless - no chunks at all. Husband’s meal was one-note and had not much flavor. We ordered a beef tongue taco too. It was so greasy the tortilla fell apart. It was $4.50 and a small soft taco! The margarita was good - full of alcohol! This was the second time we ate there and won’t be back. Just not worth $50 for two for lunch.
Started great. We were seated immediately and given chips and salsa. A server brought our margaritas almost instantly. Then, nothing. We never saw our server again. The other tables around us were seated and ordering but no one ever came to our table again. We asked 2 different people at the bar if we could place a food order and they said yes but no one ever came to our booth. We placed $$ on the table and left. We have no idea if it was even enough to cover the 2 drinks and chips.
If we could give 0 stars, this place would receive it. Slow service to start and place was not too busy. Food tasted ok, but with 2 other Mexican restaurants just up the street, this place has to up its game big time. Furthermore, the worst was the price we paid for 3 tacos.....we were charged a total of 23 dollars for three tacos, yes, 23 dollars for 3 tacos with ground beef, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes. Absolute robbery to charge that for tacos that were tiny besides and not even full. This restaurant is just another quick scam owner, obviously not thinking of his customers but only his wallet. Sad because it definitely will be another crappy run down closed building in no time with prices like this. I frequent many many restaurants across the states, and this one definitely hits the top 3 the worst. Listen, there are 2 other Mexican restaurants less than 2 miles away. I would recommend going to them as I've had better there and with better prices.
Ordered food to go two orders of combination fajitas drove 25 minutes to my destination with no tortillas called. I was put on hold called back later and they told me to come back and get a coupon $10 odd $50! Really. On top of that , 3 out of 5 of us got sick later that evening!
Please do not eat here, I was here 2 weeks ago eating dinner with my friends when I found a metal shaving in my rice. Luckily with my line of work I see these sort of metal shavings all the time so I could see it clearly shining and reflecting on the plate. I’m worried people are going to bring their children here and a little kid won’t be able to notice something like that in their food. The consequences of eating a metal shaving like the one on my plate or the other one I saw under their reviews could be very detrimental this restaurant could kill somebody, they could kill a child. I’m debating calling the police to get this investigated I just don’t want to see anybody hurt. This review is not the only one related to a metal shaving in somebody’s food this is a common occurrence here at this establishment.
Ordered takeout. Was told it would be 30 minutes. Got there after 30 minutes and was told it will be another 15 minutes. Got home with food (5 minute drive) and the food was ice cold. Orderwas not correct. Asked for no beans and onions and it had both. Hostess was very bitchy. I guess I'm going to have to find another Mexican restaurant as this is the second time poor service. The other time was dinning in.
We’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in Kentucky, Florida, Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee, New York and many times have gotten great Fajitas so sadly the ones we got there tonight were not close to even average. First the Steak wasn’t even cut all the way through. First one I went to get pulled up about 15 other uncut chunks with it. The Chicken had almost no flavor and was super chunky and had some fatty gristle in parts, Shrimp was tough and still had tails on them. The Margaritas were good and got 2 each but no pricing was shown before hand. $10 each for about a 10 oz size is pretty steep from any we’ve gotten in Louisville which have many Mexican restaurants with 20oz lime ones for 7.99. I’m sure They have great items but our choice didn’t work out tonight . Left about 70% behind. Bill with 20% tip was $ 80
Shredded beef tacos were flavorless and the beef was rubbery. Chicken bowl was the same way. Chicken had a lot of chewy pieces. Even chilis has better Mexican food than this poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant
Salsa was like water. Red water. I ordered the pork belly appetizer and street tacos. Pork belly was off. It tasted gamey- definitely not fresh and not seasoned at all. The guacamole was seasoned, but brown. Street tacos were not seasoned and cold. This is the first bad review of any restaurant I have ever done. It was so bad I actually felt I had to say something. That's how bad it was.
We have ate in restaurant plenty of times and everything was okay. We have ordered to go three times over $200.00 a time because we’re a family of 8 we kept getting promised credits they forget half our food then tell you they’ll replace it and when you call back to get your food they tell you there’s no manger ever working there which I know is a lie he spoke Spanish called me a name and hung up I tried telling them they were forgetting things they kept saying no and my husband speaks Spanish so there is no language barrier negative 0!!! The place up the road Los Gallos Mexican grill is amazing and if they mess up they will replace and give you what you actually ordered if I can I will attach copy’s of the receipts & they were tipped $20 on top of everything disgusting on customer service and the way they treat people all I asked for and still ask for is my correct food in this economy we get to eat out once every other month and yes I expect it to be correct
Would never go here again got the platter had chicken wings, nachos, jalapeño poppers some type of chicken taquito and mozzarella sticks. The whole platter was good. We got birria tacos they were awful The shell was soggy. The meat had no flavor no lime literally had to eat a taco with a fork that’s a no for me. Why put the cilantro and onions on the outside? It’s supposed to be on the inside of the taco if I go to pick it up, it’s gonna fall off couldn’t pick it up either way because of how soggy the shell was had no lime or seasoning on the meat didn’t even have a lime to offer. Everything that was authentic was disgusting would never go again. It’s even more depressing when you go on their page and you see a picture. That looks way better than what you ordered. The sauce looks different. The tortillas are actually cooked. Our sauce was garbage. The tortillas were soggy no heat to them at all. I would never recommend going back there. The picture on the right is what they were supposed to look like nowhere near what we got so disgusting, disappointed, and waste of money.
