The place was recommended by our hotel to go for coffee. We took our laptops and wanted to get coffee and work there. We got cheesecake and coffee. Interesting, our order did not show up on their screen so they did not make our coffee - rather, they made it for people after us. We commented that maybe it’s because we did not have a number tag/flag on the table. It was actually a system issue, minor, and they came with coffee right away, I’d say he was the manager - super kind, great attitude, professional, and even offered us macaroons for the trouble. Not an issue, but I’d say their service is great! We all miss orders or system does not show them (I realize it, I have a business and where people pay cash, sometimes the orders don’t show in queue). What the company does to mend an issue is truly impressive and we stayed for hours and worked and enjoyed the place! The whole team is wonderful! So are the coffee and the treats. We went there again the following day. The sandwich was amazing, the salmon crepe fantastic, they just really do a top notch job!

I have visited this pastry/ coffee shop several times in San Diego. Pastries are delicious, as are their desserts, food, and drinks. They also have ice cream, which I haven’t tried but assume is just as good of a quality as everything here. Thank you to Carlos for preparing the food. Thanks to all the staff members, Andrew, Dove, Matt and Leon, for such a friendly service and kind hearts! Their opening hours are a treat, too! It was lovely to stumble upon it late in the evening and find out I’ll be able to grab a bite as early as 7am! Happy Holidays, Everyone and Happy New Year!🎄✨

We made a super quick stop at Melt just to grab a bottle of water, but the hosts were so genuinely kind and welcoming that they absolutely deserve a shoutout. Even though our visit was brief and we weren’t ordering food this time, they treated us with warmth and professionalism, the kind of hospitality that really stands out. That alone made a strong impression. We’ll definitely be back to actually try their food, but for now, this is simply to recognize how great they were even for something as simple as selling a bottle of water.

I never heard of this place until friends told me about it since we had a business lunch meeting in the area. WOW! It's rare I eat at alot of cheese sandwich places but this is a pretty good place. We had the Italian Job, Patty Melt, Grill Cheese, Tomato Soup and a few more items. We can't forget the Snickerdoodle thick shakes! Thanks to the customer service by Sally for great recommendations on menu. Atmosphere nice, modern, and clean. Price point fair for the high quality of foods served. We will be coming back. A+

Absolutely adore this spot! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience a joy. My swoosh burger came out perfectly cooked, and the fries were incredible. The local root beer added a fun, unique touch. I dined outside and soaked in the lively Gas Lamp atmosphere, which made the meal even better. Everything I tried was flavorful and satisfying. Can’t wait to come back — highly recommended!

A couple workers have been pretty rude but a couple other ones have been awesome. Food is always A+ . I love the bacon double cheeseburger for sure highly recommended. Never thought I would like sweet potato fries but I fell in love at first bite and have been getting them ever since. Also tried the Mac and cheese and it's a yes for me, Home made style and it's a pretty big portion. Could share between 2 people but if you're like me you're gonna want your own. The Melt is definitely a must for good burgers,fries and real ice cream shakes if you're in the downtown gaslamp area. This was a GREAT meal as we were walking around in gaslamp area. The meat in my burger was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spice and salt. Easy to order and pickup. The burgers are always amazing here and their fries are fresh. The sodas are also unique and taste like cane sugar sodas. There isn't name brand sodas, but i feel like these taste even better. They have stations to order on a screen and connect to a buzzer to avoid long lines, and also lets you view how the food looks before buying.

We stopped by The Melt after a late flight, and it was a huge relief to find a spot that’s open until 3 AM—not many places were still serving food that late, so this was a lifesaver. I ordered the Classic Melt Burger, and overall, it was a pretty tasty bite. The burger was nice and juicy with great flavor, and the cheese was melted to perfection. That said, it was definitely on the greasy side, which caused the bottom bun to get soggy and fall apart a bit as I ate. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you don’t like your burgers too messy. Now, the real star for my wife? The Parmesan Garlic Fries. She was raving about them the entire time—seriously couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. Crispy, flavorful, and loaded with that garlicky-parmesan goodness. Late-night hours, flavorful food, and fries worth ranting over—The Melt hit the spot when we needed it most.

The cafe has an amazing atmosphere. You can tell they put real thought and taste into creating it. It is a cozy and beautiful place, especially when the big windows are open. The desserts here are absolutely delicious and the breakfast is really hearty. It is a perfect spot for an inspiring start to the day or a romantic date. I would just make the service a little more positive or friendly, maybe more like the vibe you get in France, rather than how it feels now.

I went to hear for the first time tonight and ordered the barbecue bacon cheeseburger with a side of the garlic parmesan fries. On the menu they offer a second patty of beef for an extra $5. $5 for one single patty?! That seemed a little outrageous. I think if the price point was $4 or less they would get a lot more takers on that. Needless to say that the burger was decent but not great or extraordinary in any way. It was like the western bacon cheeseburger at Carl's Jr but not as good. My patty was overcooked, dry and had a good amount of thick black charring that degraded the taste. The garlic parmesan fries were not great. They were over seasoned and I ended up tossing half of them in the trash. The staff was friendly. I did not see ketchup anywhere available visibly nor was I offered any. This is always a turn off when I go to a burger place. I can honestly say that In-N-Out is cheaper and better.

This is definitely good drunk food. We ordered the jalapeño burger, the burger was a bit bland, texture mushy, and overall mediocre. The patty melt is what you would expect very basic but I thought it taste fine. Both the sweet potato and regular fries were good. There's plenty of seating and evening seating along the window. The service was as expected; however they did mix up the fries with the burgers.

This place came recommended and I am particular about my burgers. My son's sandwich fell apart but he liked how juicy and flavorful it was. My sandwich was dry but the burger meat was impeccable. My other son got the cheesesteak. The meat to veggie ratio was too much in the veggie zone. But he said it was still good. We got parmesan fries but why was the cheese not melted on? The Mac and cheese was just passing. The lemonade was really good though.

I ordered a galette to go as well as a latte and macarons. While nothing tasted particularly bad, I was very confused and frustrated to cut a piece off of my galette that was drowning in bechamel sauce to discover that it did not contain a crepe, but instead two slices of bread. I don't know if they thought I was stupid and didn't know what a galette was or they couldn't be bothered to tell me they were making a substitution, but I was very angry and had no time to deal with it due to my flight leaving soon.
