The veggie roll was quite tasty and hit the spot. Also, the portion of seaweed salad they give you is quite large compared to other places—I would say that’s a good thing! They have changed their music to a Lo-Fi vibe. Really great place to have a low key date night.
First time here, in mid-afternoon. Staff greeted us immediately, got us seated right away. Only 1 bento box option, but lots of choices otherwise, including dinner combos. Ordered shrimp tempura roll and teriyaki salmon dinner. Both very tasty! Enjoyed the salad dressing too!
Very tasty. Loved the food, sushi was delicious and teriyaki chicken perfect! Service was great!!!! Highly recommend this sushi place!
How does Lady Gaga like her sushi? Raw, raw, raw, raw, raw! What’s not a joke is this place. Great sushi 🍣 rolls Service was very nice We enjoyed our first time and look forward to coming back
We tried this place recently and liked everything about it. Food quality, quantity, and presentation were good. Service was fast and nice. Would try this place again.
Second time here in a week because it is just that good. You can tell they take a lot of pride in presentation and so far everything has been yummy. Please give it a try so this amazing place never goes away!

Went for lunch. I had salmon teriyaki bowl and salad. Someone else ordered sushi with soup. And another ordered the 4 roll lunch option. I was very happy with my salmon rice selection. Portion was good size and it was delicious. Even my salad was a generous serving. Luckily I didn't order the sushi because the portion was a bit small (as expected). The rolls was good too, portion was good and my friend seemed to like it. Decor is nice, we sat a booth which was comfortable.
Love everything about Unisushi, the service, ambience (decor is beautiful) food, and the professionalism and friendliness of the employees. The entrees are plentiful and the food is fresh and delicious. So happy to finally have a neighborhood restaurant that we enjoy dining at frequently. Dave & Barbara P
Had never been there. They sat us right away. Portions were large and place was clean. Staff friendly. Over all great experience
Lemon cilantro roll was delicious. Salmon was generously cut and beautifully marbled. Price was a bit steep for a relatively simple roll but hard to argue with the quality.
Just wanted to chime in on the recent sushi “local war” that appears to have started between UNISUSHI and the newly rebranded Carmel Sushi (previously Zip Sushi). We have been looking for a good local sushi spot since moving into the area in 2017 and this place beats out Zip/Carmel for us, no question. We still love Ken’s Sushi for an all out sushi dinner (definitely eat in there for the best experience), however UniSushi has leveled up our expectations for a weekday/night sushi option, replacing Sushi Exchange and Boto in our regular rotation. Love having you in the neighborhood and you will see us there weekly without a doubt! As a side note: very suspicious on the rebranding of Zip to Carmel at the same time as UniSushi opening up, also the number of 5-star ratings in small time-period while a few 1-2 star ratings at UniSushi with no comments. Not saying anything definitive, but definite side eye…
The food was really goooooood!! Highly recommended.

Don’t bother with the HAPPY HOUR- you save like $1-$2 discount I ordered the most expensive roll $25 ceviche- very unimpressive-spicy tuna roll topped with “ceviche”- this was the weirdest “ceviche” ever🤪

A Convenient Spot, but Underwhelming Sushi and Subpar Service It's with nice Japanese style decorations. Located in a busy plaza, Unisushi isn’t as crowded during weekdays, likely why they offer a lunch special and weekday happy hour to draw in customers. Their lunch specials feature bento boxes, teriyaki and katsu rice bowls, yakisoba noodles, and sushi lunch sets, along with a choice of miso soup or salad on the side. I tried the Sushi Lunch Special No. B, which included 8 pieces of California rolls and 4 sushi nigiri: tuna, salmon, albacore, and shrimp. Unfortunately, the taste was quite ordinary, reminiscent of chain sushi restaurants. The fish didn’t feel especially fresh, and the texture was just average. The miso soup was very bland, almost as if it had been diluted with water. Additionally, I ordered the Sea Urchin (Uni) Nigiri, which came with two small slices of uni on basic sushi rice. At $19.95, it felt overpriced for the quality and portion, making it hard to justify. Beyond the food, the overall experience was lacking. The men's restroom sink was particularly dirty, which was off-putting. To add to that, the service left much to be desired. The staff was quite impatient, constantly rushing me to place my order and pay the bill, making the dining experience feel more stressful than enjoyable. BTW, they charge extra 3.5% when paying by credit card : ( While the location is convenient, the sushi and service need significant improvement.

I went in mid day, and there were no other customers. The waitress with brown hair and a cracked tooth waited on us. She asked me to place a drink order, and I told her we want water, but my friend might order something else when she returns from the bathroom. The waitress only brought me 1 water so I had to ask her again to bring another water for my friend. Then I asked if something was fried before ordering, and she said she would ask the chef. I placed the remainder of our order. She never came back to answer my question and brought the fried dish out to me as if I had ordered it. It's like she wasn't paying any attention to us. That's weird because there were no other customers in the restaurant. I didn't say anything about the incompetence at the time. If I choose to go back, I'll ask for a different server. The food wasn't bad.
Food was way too expensive for the quality. It's priced like a top tier sushi place but quality day it should be 1/2 the price. Service was really slow when it's empty, the rice was dry, the sushi has great presentation but it was falling apart, and the miso was cold.
They allowed a dog in the restaurant chowing down on a food and a bone on the floor under a table? That's gross and unsanitary. Clearly a Health Code Violation. Women works there with a dumb look on her face when I ask her about it. It's a indoor restaurant, preparing Sushi right and food right out in open and dog spreads its nasty germs and fleas. I'm not buying the Service Dog excuse. It was clearly not a service Dog. Such a cop out
This is not an authentic Japanese restaurant. The service is so slow too. This will be my last visit here.
This place accepted my order on a Sunday, on UberEats. When it was closed. Now, I had to pay a cancellation fee of $34. No meal. No service. Why accept orders when you’re closed?! Convenience now turned into a headache.
This was our second time going to Unisushi, and will be our last. Our first visit was fine and the food was average; we’ve had better sushi elsewhere. We were nearby and decided to grab some food. Not sure what dish was contaminated, but I got food poisoning. The edamame appetizer tasted fine. I ordered chicken katsu, but the tomato in my salad was rancid and rotten. I spit it out as soon as I bit into it. By the time I got to the car after we left, I felt like I needed to vomit. I sat in the car for about 30 minutes waiting for the food to come back up. Hopefully this was a fluke, but it’s enough for us to always avoid the restaurant.
I ordered tempura udon soup which is advertised as having shrimp and crab tempura and broccoli and sweet potato. I received only ONE shrimp tempura, NO crab tempura and just sweet potato slices tempura. I was so mad. Don’t spend your hard earned money here. Unless you want to pay for sweet potatoes fries in a udon soap. It’s false advertising to say it’s shrimp udon soup. Really bad
