The first time we went here we had no service, waited 30+ minutes in an empty section of the restaurant with just our appetizer and drinks and didn't even get order food. Our waitress was god awful so we walked out. You may think then how in the world can I rate this place 5 stars now? Well upon our second visit we went with the whole family so we were harder to ignore it seems. The food and service was phenomenal and made up for last times blunder. The drinks were also damn good too if you know what I mean haha.
First time trying. Was taken here by family and the experience was amazing. First off I’d like to thank our server Eric who was very polite, attentive, and kind. He went above and beyond as a server to make our experience amazing. Second, the food was amazing the Fresh broccoli was quite delicious. To follow it up was the mushroom sauce classic pasta which was delightful. To round out the meal I tried Spumoni for dessert and was not disappointed. Overall a great restaurant and great experience. I will Definitely be recommending and returning for more delicious eats.
Love this place! Our server was the best! Super kind, didn’t rush us. Took time to talk to my son. The food was excellent, per usual. The cost has gone up and that’s kind of a bummer but, the restaurant is fun and I love the atmosphere. Try the broccoli - you won’t regret it :)
We ate at the Spaghetti Factory and Debbie was our server, She is truly one of the best, kindest, and most spectacular waitresses we have ever had! Even though she had a lot of tables, she balanced everything beautifully and was still very attentive to everyone. The food was fabulous, hot, and most importantly delicious. The unique Spaghetti Factory antiques were also amazing. Big shout out to Debbie, we will be back again just to see her and her wonderful service. The Spaghetti Factory rocks!
This was such a nostalgic lunch. Our server was great. Our food was delicious I had never tried the Olive Topenade! And their bread!!
My stubborn baby canine finally flared up with infection, making every smile ache. I booked Renovo Endodontic Studio in Schaumburg for a tooth extraction on a friend’s recommendation. The dentist reviewed a panoramic X-ray, pointed out the retained root, and explained exactly how he would remove it without disturbing the adult tooth beside it. A dab of minty gel numbed the gum, then one gentle twist and the tooth was out before I realized. They packed gauze, gave me a small envelope with the tooth, and walked me through rinse instructions. By evening I was sipping soup comfortably and planning the implant consult they scheduled for next month. I wish I had done this years ago.
Slow server. Didn't even bring water for about 30 minutes! Not good. Best food when it finally came out. Cannot beat the maZithra. Just moved back to California and can't wait to go back. The blackberry cream soda is amazing, must try.
I love the atmosphere of those place. I had the Lobstrr and crab ravioli and my husband had the lasagna. They were both delicious. The bread was fresh, and hot, and the minestrone was good as well. We topped it off with spinmoni ice cream. The server was really sweet and since it was Tuesday, my veteran husband got a 10% discount. Overall wonderful experience.
Had a great night with Steven as our waiter. He was very attentive and patient with our large group.
We have been going for years as a special treat to celebrate birthdays or hard days. Today we just went because we could. Took our granddaughter and the food was great. I am writing this review because today the service was exceptional!!! Blake ( a young blonde woman ) was our server…. Incredible- very friendly, professional, considered my granddaughter’s needs all in a Ninja style speed and elegance. Best service we had at any restaurant.
🎄 We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory as a fun Christmas adventure with the family, all being in town. We had a delightful dinner and loved how they decorated the place for the holidays. The restaurant's family-friendly atmosphere was much appreciated. 🌟 The staff was wonderful, and the food was magnificent. The portion sizes are very generous, making it easy to share one dish between two people. If you order sides, it just ends up being a perfect meal. 🌈 All in all, it was a wonderful experience that brought back nostalgia since we hadn't been to this place in decades. Highly recommend for a festive and satisfying dining experience! 🍦 Also the spumoni was incredible! Definitely choose that over the ice cream!!
It has always been my favorite until they raised their prices. Too high for me.
Got too caught up in reuniting with some long time friends to take photos. With our excitement of catching up with friends we took a while to study the menu, our server was very patient & pleasant. Food was good but was on the colder side of warm. Didn’t get any of the delicious bread till we asked and received after the entrees were half done. Hate to be a little critical because we did enjoy the evening and will undoubtedly return some day.
We missed it! My Texas Granddaughters came to see me after a surgery and we went to a place that everyone likes!
I love the Old Spaghetti Factory. It is my go-to place for my birthday dinner every year. I wish it was a little bit closer to where I live. Well, maybe not. If it was, I would probably be there every week. So maybe it's a good thing. Thing it's a little far away. The misrathra cheese spaghetti with brown butter is to die for. It would be my last meal, if I had to choose one. However, everything on the menu is delicious. It's a really fun place to go. Lots of antiques. Lots of old photos. The one in San Marcos does get busy, but I've always been able to walk in and go straight to a table, even on a Friday night. If you get the meal, it comes with a salad and ice cream or spumani for dessert. How can you pass that up? My mouth is starting to water. Just writing this review. Go! You will love it!
Our family loves this place! It’s a little pricey but they really knock the pasta and lasagna (oh man the lasagna 🤤) out of the park. You can also buy their spumoni by the tub and take it home.
My mother and I attended a seminar at The Old Spaghetti Factory in San Marcos, where dinner was included. I went with the lasagna and mom tried Chicken Marsala for the first time. She wanted me to try her wine sauce and kept telling me it was out of this world! I’ll just have to return another day and try it for myself! Food and service were spectacular! This mom and pop grew to several locations, but didn’t lose their old world recipe perfection for Italian cuisine. The interior is cute as can be, and if you go once, you will return…. Just like us!
They have excellent entrees. I love the fresh bread and the 3 course dinners. The food was very delicious. Went here for the last 2 years for my Birthday and going to make it a tradition. Service was excellent. Hardly had to wait for anything (food, drinks, dessert). Waiter was very pleasant.
They knocked it out of the park. Massive amounts of food, amazing service, we didn’t expect much but went purely for the nostalgia because the Old Spaghetti Factory closed in our hometown several years ago. But they did great and we are considering going again before we leave town!! We both got the three course dinner, the minestrone was great, my husband had spaghetti and I had cheese and spinach tortellini (sooooooo good), the spumoni was great, and so was the spinach and artichoke dip!!
Nice dinner and service. They gave me a free dinner for my birthday. Very generous gift. Register with them for this surprise freebie! Follow-up: dinner tonight was generous as always with portions plus service was great. Price doesn't seem to be higher so a nice meal for a good price.
This famous Italian restaurant from Oregon is just getting better. Our favorite meals range from lasagna, chicken Alfredo, and mizithra cheese with marinara sauce. There's an actual train car inside the restaurant in which you can eat. The meals are reasonably price... Which adds to the reasons why the chain keeps expanding.
Delicious spaghetti. We had the lunch special which came with soup or salad and bread. Very reasonable and the atmosphere was nice!
We rented space here for our wedding welcome dinner and they were truly the best. The service was superb, and the food was great and the portions were perfect for such a large gathering.
This was the first time eating at spaghetti factory in San Diego And let me tell you they did not disappoint The service was great, and the food was even better My dad recently passed away and this is where I would go for my birthday with him every year And since I just moved back to the West Coast after 10 years Even though my dad is not here any more. It was only right to go with my family again. Thank you, spaghetti factory for all the great times I always have with you!
Great family restaurant. A perfect place to bring little ones. There is enough noise that louder children aren’t an issue. They also have a nice children’s menu with plenty of options. Our kids really like the decor (trolley inside the building and old vintage art/furniture) It’s basically fast food Italian that would probably make hard core Italian food lovers cringe at the thought but i think everything tastes great!
This is one of my favorite places Ever!. So I might be biased..I always get the Chef Choice it is a choice of spaghetti with a choice of two sauces. I get Mizzethra and the 1/2 Meat Sauce. It comes with a salad and icecream all in one price...food is great the people who work here are so nice and friendly. Love it. I tried my first Italian Cream Soda today BlackBerry Flavor, only question I ask myself is Why?.. I did take food pictures but I have a few of the awesome decor...❤
This was my first time eating here, but I've got to say that the food was delicious. I'll be going back real soon.
My family and I love eating here for special occasions. I could buy a gallon of the creamy pesto salad dressing itself! And the gluten free pasta is pretty good too. It's little expensive to eat here, but I'd say it's worth it every once in a while!
It is my mission to visit all the Old Spaghetti Factory all over the country! Well West coast! And this one did not fail me! Except my poor new waiter had a little issues here and there but food was great already forgiven!
We had our sons and daughter-in-laws wedding rehearsal dinner at your San Marcos location. Everything was excellent Wes the manager was so kind and helpful and the wait staff was amazing!!! Thank you so much🍝🥗The Dykstra Family
A side of parmigiana chicken is $7.50 their bread is free. Instant cheap sandwich. But my kids love this space for the soup or salad and dessert that comes with the entrees. Their lunch specials are great deals. Bread always comes out piping hot . Their mizithra cheese broccoli is a great addition to any meal with plenty to share . Make reservations . Great for large groups .
Had a great dinner! I had the minestrone soup, added meatball for 2.49 and Pasta Classic White Clam Sauce with extra lemons on the side. It was really good, would say the best thing I've had of 2 or 3 previous visits. If you like seafood, it rocked, big chunks of clam🐚. My wife had the Founders Favorite, Jumbo Lobster & Crab Ravioli. She said 👍. We asked to sit in the trolley, and they gave us the end booth in the trolley🚃 😄
This was our first time going to Spaghetti Factory in a long time because the ones in Northern California closed down. This location was the closest location in Escondido to where we were staying. Everyone loved their food. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. I got the garlic shrimp fettuccine. My kids got the shrimp fettuccine alfredo and chicken fettuccine fettuccine alfredo.
The Old Spaghetti Factory at 111 N Twin Oaks Valley Rd in San Marcos is a wonderful place for a comforting Italian meal. The food was hot fresh and full of flavor with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The service was friendly attentive and made us feel welcome throughout the visit. The atmosphere has a warm classic charm that makes dining here feel special. It is a great spot for families date nights or group dinners. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.
I had been coming to OSF since I was a kid and now my own family also enjoys the food and atmosphere. Maybe it's the warm sourdough bread, the "managers special" or the spumoni ice cream. The food is good and filling and our family pretty much orders the same dishes, unless there is a new or limited time item on the menu that looks good, like the Tuscan Chicken Pasta we tried tonight! Very tasty and flavorful!
Dined on a Friday night and it was busy. Service was excellent and the food was on point. Still a great value with all sorts of options to choose from. On a rain filled night, the milestrone soup was perfect. Portions on entrees are slhige enough to share. I was hungry though and finished everything. Ryan was our server. Very good at his job. Been coming here for years. Glad it hasn't changed a bit. Be back soon.
A wonderful second experience, as was the first. Given a choice of an appetizer and desserts with the purchase of an entree, along with unlimited crispy hot bread and butter, is great. Lots of tasty entrees, appetizers, sides, and drinks. The train inside of the restaurant is very special and the antique decor makes it feel like we're stepping back in time.
I had a lovely experience at this Italian restaurant. The menu comes with a delicious soup or salad and a dessert, and the ice cream is particularly great! The food is good, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly with a small playroom for kids, complete with coloring sheets and crayons. The architecture and décor are absolutely stunning. Highly recommend for a cozy and enjoyable meal!”
Hands down, absolutely amazing. From the atmosphere and service, straight to the food! I absolutely love the decor and the vibe of the place. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. They have very nice side rooms you can reserve too. The food was absolutely scrumptious. There wasn't one thing I didn't like. I'd eat here weekly if I were closer. Definitely, definitely recommend.
It was my first time there and it exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back!

Our family loves this restaurant. Sitting in the elegant train car is a plus! Friendly staff and good service. The Victoria theme is truly beautiful.

The Old Spaghetti Factory has the New York mobster feel. I was expecting Tony Soprano to walk in the door at any time. The restaurant was really clean and well decorated. I've never been to Italy or New York, but I'm assuming this is what authentic Italian food tastes like. I had spaghetti with meatballs. It was good, Just a little heavy for me.
They have a senior menu but even though there were 3 seniors in our party, it wasn't offered to us. I just happened to see the senior menu on my way back from the restroom and grabbed it. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars.
Decent food, family friendly atmospheric restaurant. It’s nice that all the entree’s come with bread, soup or salad and vanilla or spumone ice cream. The manager recommended pasta with half Mizithra (cheese) sauce and half meat lovers sauce. Would recommend. Consider making reservations. We were there at 4:00 on a Sunday and had a 20 minute wait for a party of 2.
Vive has a nice atmosphere with an old vintage look that adds to its charm. However, the food was just okay—I’d rate it a 7 out of 10. The spaghetti and meatballs lacked flavor, which was disappointing. The ravioli had a good taste but the portion size was on the smaller side, making it feel underwhelming. I’d also rate the flavor a 7 out of 10. Service was average and could have been better. We had to ask for cheese and drink refills, which should have been offered proactively. The pricing is about average, but overall, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. Would I return? Maybe, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Excellent location plenty of parking. Being disabled I notice parking spaces. This restaurant does not have enough disabled spaces. Secondly there is a insensitivity by the seating hostess who takes a disabled person to the farthest table from the entrance. Bypassing other seating just to get one out of the way to seat others. SO IF disabled be prepared to be more active . The insensitivity of this restaurant towards disabled is enough to warrant going somewhere else. Food is good. Service is adequate not superior!! One just needs to balance out what is important in enjoying a meal.
Food was great. Service was poor, but it was busy so I dont blame them. Place is very classy and nice, loved how it felt in there
I gave an extra star for decor Came for a Rotary Club meeting at lunch. I could go on and on about the classy stained glass, velvet upholstered chairs, and high vaulted ceilings but decor does not a restaurant make. With the exception of a good spiced cake dessert the food was just above mediocre mass produced "italian" food. The hot fresh loaves of bread were a nice touch but were served with low quality "butter". appetizer salad was basically just lettuce with 5 tiny croutons on it that even when drenched with dressing was not appetizing. My spaghetti was a huge bowl but since they put so little sauce it only covered about half of it but I ended up dumping about a half a container of Parmesan and squeezing a couple lemons on them to stretch out the sauce. My friend's ravioli were generic frozen even with the decent amount of sauce nothing special. The lady next to me got the chicken Caesar salad which was more of the lettuce and a pretty frozen chicken cutlet plopped on top. Overall nice place and fast service for mediocre food
We came on a Tuesday night, we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Server was pleasant enough but seemed in a hurry and bored. The Chicken Parmigiana and the Clam Sauce Spaghetti were really good. The Garlic Mizithra was tasty but the bacon was too hard. All-in-all, it was a good experience
We ordered meaty Mac and cheese and also spaghetti and meat sauce for the kids. They loved it. I ordered the lasagna and it was delicious. My husband ordered the classic pasta with mushroom sauce but his food was quite underwhelming. Lots of tomato with few pieces of sauteed mushroom on top. I wouldn't call this a mushroom sauce. But we did order a small side of broccoli since our boys love broccoli, and it was just heavenly. I highly recommend it!
The Spaghetti Factory is an institution! The food and atmosphere are nice and the service was good. I wish the servers would give more time between the dinner salads and the main course. It usually seems rushed. But overall, you can do a lot worse than The Spaghetti Factory.
Excellent food, no matter what you get! Of course, the ambiance they install with the old-timey decor (complete with an old street car with tables) adds a lot to it. Customer service is excellent, wait times and order-to-eat times are not long either. My only hesitation is that the post-covid prices are pretty spendy. But for a special occasion I will take the family back.
Yes, we drove all the way down to this area from Vegas (for a concert) — and stayed an additional day just to eat dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory! This is one of the very few of my favorite things that we are missing in Las Vegas! OSF is not the best pasta on earth. It’s not the fanciest restaurant, or always the best service. But it offers a great experience overall — with legitimately delicious spaghetti, good bread, a simple but sweet salad, and a scoop of yummy spumoni ice cream all included in one fair price for your meal. When we lived in the Bay Area, we always made it a point to get to OSF at least 3-4 times a year but since being in Vegas, this is one restaurant I always try to fit in when entering California on a road trip. All locations are usually grand in size, and ambiance is nice - family-oriented, spacious, and suited to both casual and a little fancier if you’d like. And for us, since road trips will always involve taking our dogs, most (?) OSF having patios which allow dogs is critical, especially since our puppy seems to like barking his head off when left at the hotel. 🤦🏻♀️ Order the captain’s platter — mizithra and brown butter for one half and the awesome white clam sauce on the other half. Mix it up and voila! Tip to OSF: Invest in better butter for your bread. Note: We sat on the patio and I never actually stepped foot inside this location, but the few locations I’ve been to have always been consistent in decor and ambiance. Note 2: We called at noon to confirm they allow dogs on the patio, verified by the lunch manager. When we arrived for dinner, the dinner manager tried to tell us only service dogs were allowed. They relented and seated us but keep this in mind.
Old Spaghetti Factory is very nostalgic for me. The food is as good as I remember. Love Their Italian Sodas. Waitress was very nice, she just never came to check on us. I understand busy. But you do need to check on your tables to ensure they have everything they need, is the food tasting well, beverage refills. Maybe we came in on a busier than usual day. Still please maintain your tables. Thank you
Love the dinning room and food is great. IF you can get a seat; The down side of this location is there is ALWAYS a wait. There is no calling ahead or reservations. They usually estimate the wait time much shorter than it actually is. I have been three time when our party has to leave. If you can get past the wait time the food is great, seating is comfortable and servers are great. The manager special is my favorite spaghetti you get a choice of two sauces, side salad, house bread and a spumoni ice cream at the end! Delicious! Good ice tea and lots of non-alcoholic choices like fancy Italian sodas!
I recently dined at a popular Italian restaurant chain and had a delightful experience. The spaghetti with marinara sauce was cooked to perfection, and the unlimited, freshly baked bread was a pleasant surprise. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the meal enjoyable. However, the ambiance felt a bit dated, and the noise level was higher than expected. Despite these minor issues, the delicious food and excellent service made it a worthwhile visit
Delicious spaghetti, bread and butter to die for. Our food was piping hot as was our soup. I tried the olive tapenede . I liked it but it was very salty. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? It was my first time trying it. On Monday, they have a special, for two, spaghetti and meatballs, soup or salad, wine and dessert for $25, That's an awesome deal. Spaghetti factory has been around for years. One of my family's favorites. The only improvement I would suggest is more seasoning. Spaghetti sauce could use some herbs. But I did enjoy my meal and plan to return
I need to update my review since it's been over 10 years. We always enjoy coming here with family because it's affordable and great for big parties. Make reservations so you don't have to wait long. I don't remember our servers name. She was very nice but someone dropped the ball on 2 things. First, I don't like the bread they serve, so the first thing I ordered with my adult beverage is garlic bread. Whell my drink came, and my family all had the complimentary bread and was done but no garlic bread for me. Our meals came and no bread, so I told our server to cancel it. Next, all of us got our dishes but not my nephew. We waited and brought it to the attention of the server, and about 5 minutes, a dish came, but it wasn't what he ordered. He finally got his order. My favorite dishes I love are garlic mizithra. My BF always gets the combo with mizithra and red sauce. In addition, the salad with creamy pesto and ice cream dessert is a treat. Despite my last experience, I'd still return. The food is always good.
Always a solid spot especially for families with 5+. Plenty of room on the table and space. Our fave here is the brown butter mizithra cheese with spaghetti and broccoli. Our kid love it as well but …

I hope the kitchen is cleaner than the dining room. This baby spit-up looks lile it's been there a while

Our waiter Elizabeth, known as Liz was fantastic. She was attentive and always was smiling. The food was awesome as well and I highly recommend this OSF.
Classic place. Great decor, fun environment. Unchanged for decades. Menu is limited, food is so-so, but service is good and it's just a comfortable environment for a meal. Everyone there has been there before. Just one of those places.
Food ok but salad was very sad nearly dead lettuce, clam sauce dark was end of night. Plate presentations could improve Retired Executive Chef went to San Diego location years ago. This was not a experience I will crave.
Meals seemed to be a bit overpriced for the quantity...chicken. breast was smallish. Other places typically serve two pieces.. Pasta was good. Needed a wee bit more lemon and capers with the sauce. The cup of soup was hot and tasty. Server was friendly but seemed a bit oveloaded and stretched.
Everything was nice, except the restroom. Smelled like old fish and urine. Trash cans were overflowing. Unbelievably, there was even more trash after we finished dinner three hours later. Still stank, too.
Food: I ordered lasagna and my husband ordered chicken marsala. I ordered glass of wine, my husband ordered an old fashion. The bread is Excellent, hot and fresh! The side salad was a sad salad, looked like those cheaply packaged with iceberg lettuce, sprinkle of carrots & a few croutons. My husband liked his chicken dish, but he was still hungry so when we got home, he heated up some leftovers and I've never heard him complain about portions. I didn't hate my lasagna but I didn't take my leftovers because I knew I would not want leftovers. The spumoni was delicious. Service: Excellent, friendly staff. Vibe: Nice Restaurant Noteworthy: I've always heard about spaghetti factory but this was my first time. I might come back and try something else.
Nice place but smaller portions than I remember. Sauce wasn't terrible, way better than olive gardens sauce! Still, kinda pricey for 6 oz of chicken and a little side salad and tiny side of spaghetti for almost 30 bucks. Steak prices there!
Service was good and food was just okay. The restaurant looked clean. The food didn't sit well and I had an upset stomach afterwards. I have to say the company was good and the garlic bread with ch…

I've been coming here on and off over the last 20+ years. The quality of the food has never been better than something I can make at home but the ambience is unique, have to give a couple stars for that. My main issue more recently is the prices are no longer justifiable. Just a few years back some entrees were under $10. If I'm being honest that is what the average meal here is worth, even today. However you will be spending $18.50 or more on an entree which again is something you can easily make at home, without much effort and having spent much less. Serving staff seems to lack the ability to think proactively and often forgets to ask if you need something, a lot of which should be common sense. They always seat you near a lot of other full tables with crying kids when there are plenty of open tables elsewhere in the restaurant. The servers need more training and need to think on their feet more. We ordered an Italian cream soda with the keepsake glass but we were not offered it to be cleaned or wrapped. We were not offered bread when I know it's complementary. Overall our servers haven't been very attentive recently. They have almost no vegan options here as well. Overall I won't be coming here any more.
The food was great however they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair after waiting 50 minutes. Service was extremely slow and when asked for refill the server rolled his eyes. Definitely disappointed. Food was good and the building is beautiful.
Super slow service, not busy. Cafeteria food. It used to be a nice place to go, but not anymore. The menu is lacking. I won't be returning anytime soon. Overpriced for the quality served. Also, when I asked politely (more than once because our server forgot a couple times) for boxes to go, they brought very tiny little boxes for our large plates. Which actually made me laugh because the look on my MIL's face was epic. So I snapped a candid shot. Lol! It was a fitting end to our not-so-great lunch.
The food was pretty good. Loved the ambiance of the place, absolutely gorgeous and inviting. Our server however, was not very tentative to our table. Had to flag him down towards the end. Our server never asked us if we wanted another drink or even offered water. We ordered the Italian sodas for the keepsake glasses. We were given new ones to take home which were wrapped in paper. However, when we got home, one of the glasses was damaged. The decal on the top was partially coming off. We were not actually given brand new glasses. So disappointing, especially for a place like this. Wish I could give a higher rating.
The 2 stars are strictly for the decor and the service; otherwise, it was a disappointing experience. The food lacked flavor and was definitely not worth it. To make matters worse, the utensil was dirty and the restroom was poorly maintained—no soap and no paper towels. Great atmosphere, but they really need to fix the basics.
Food was okay. Not like it used to be. Portions were tiny. Literally 6 ravioli as an entree. Our waitress was in a hurry, rude and had very little knowledge of the menu. She never came by to offer refills, 2nd round of drink orders, straws, silverware anything.... very frustrating. We are probably not going to be returning any time soon.
YIKES! Avoid this place at all costs! Reservation? You still have to wait. Seated? Still waiting. Asking for drinks? Some never come. food arrives and it's not hot. Want anything else? Too bad they…

waited 15 minutes for a table, not bad. Then waited 10 more minutes seated at our table only to be completely ignored by all the staff. Spoke to the manager just to let him know that we were expe…

Did not order the right thing, if there is any such..... pasta with no meat, no flavor, worst ever. It was dry, way too dry, only a little bit of cheese on top.... no cheese flavor either. I…
We had a party of 4 we waited about an hour for our food and when it arrived it was cold. The meat balls were undercooked. However the supervisor compensated us the best he could.
Took almost 2 hours just to get a seat this place is crap and food tasted plain and no taste to the pasta at all would not rec this place at all
Hostess is rude and uncaring. We were a party of 5 we were seated at a 4 top table. I asked if we could have a bit larger table. Was told that all the larger tables were reserved. However when we walked( after eating) out non of the larger 8-10 top tables were used. We will not be returning we were there early and had two handicapped people with us. We were shoved in the back room at the smallest table they had.
Been coming here for years. Now in need a new place…Very small dishes for the price increases made. You only get 5 raviolis for $25… half a scoop of noodles for a pasta dish and 3 pieces of chicken. Everyone pretty much left still hungry. Waiter also ignored we had a birthday at our table. So disappointing.
Tonight was a mess. Our assigned waiter never actually showed up. We got told their name, never saw this person. A manager eventually came out to take our orders after we started trying to catch any staff members attention. But then we also had to flag them down again after an additional 10-15 minutes without even the included bread having been brought out. They assured us that it would be right out, and then we got brought an entirely different tables main course. Which they served half of, before realizing it was incorrect, and took it back to the kitchen. After some time, the bread and salads did come to the table, and then the correct entrees for our table. After eating, there was an additional absence of any attention before the included dessert got ordered, and then another lull as we waited for the bill. At the end of the night this was between a 2-2.5 hour slog, including the 30 minutes it took to flag down a staff member for the check. Flag an entirely different staff member to split them, and then flag a 3rd staff member to take them back to be processed. 10-15 minutes, later, they brought them back, and we were finally free. I love Spaghetti Factory, and regularly go to the Gaslamp location during peak crazy after comic con, and have grown used to a snappy in - out - tasty filling food after a long day. This was not that.
