Wow! Heritage is such a hidden gem! The margherita pizza might be the best in AZ, the cocktails are next-level, and the patio has the prettiest fire pit and portofino lights. Service was flawless. I can’t wait to come back!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending the friends and family soft opening of Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the thoughtfully curated menu to the warm, inviting atmosphere, every element reflected the passion and dedication poured into this concept. You could truly taste the craftsmanship and love behind each dish. Absolutely exquisite. The attention to detail and hospitality were remarkable, and I have no doubt this will become North Scottsdale’s staple! Omg! I’m just so excited to return for another unforgettable dinner. Congratulations to Cheft Christopher Brugman and his entire team on such an impressive launch, and thank you to our favorite cousin/brother, Cheft CMACK for having us. Heritage is so lucky to have you!

The decor is absolutely stunning — every detail feels intentional and sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The food is beyond amazing — every dish is crafted to perfection, full of flavor, and plated like art. You can truly tell the chef puts passion into every bite. The cocktails are delicious and creative, perfectly balanced and made with top-tier ingredients. What truly sets Heritage apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and attentive — you never feel rushed, just genuinely cared for. This spot is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re coming for date night, family dinner, or drinks with friends, Heritage Kitchen & Cocktails delivers a five-star experience from start to finish.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible. Possibly the best in Scottsdale. We had the heirloom tomato salad, piatta di pane, aged beef tartare, gulf prawns, grilled lamb ribs, braised short ribribs, and spaghetti à la nerano, and they were all phenomenal. Our servers were always checking in and bringing our food and drinks in a timely manner. The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere that’s very relaxed and airy, not stuffy at all. Everyone should come here at least once.

Love this place! Warm, elegant-yet-casual vibe with beautiful patio and fire pit. Great for date nights or groups.House bread with charred butter & yogurt sauce. Grilled Spanish octopus is amazing. Worth the drive highly recommend.

Rarely in Phoenix do you find a location that’s a triple threat; amazing service, amazing food and amazing atmosphere. As opposed to Scottsdale’s other top restaurants, Heritage offers a relaxed atmosphere with composed and kind staff who are attentive to you, the menu, and their service. We elected to eat the menu on a “tapas” style basis; opting for lightweight fresh food dishes, with the addition of a few deviously delicious bread dishes (Piatta de Pane and Pan con Tamate). Highly recommend the Roasted Cauliflower, too. The wine menu was paired with knowledge staff, and their joy at recommending each dish and drink cements the restaurant as top valley destination for us.

The meal was spectacular. Flavors you are not going to find anywhere else with this kind of quality. Something for everyone on the menu with plenty of great sharable items. The vodka chicken parm rivals/beats any high end Italian joint We will be back!

There are too many new restaurants opening in Scottsdale, and the majority are mediocre recycled versions of the same concept. Heritage is an exception. Chef Brugman and his team have produced a lovely experience in North Scottsdale, and I couldn't be happier for the addition to the neighborhood. Don't let a strip mall scare you away. This is a gem, from the food to the service to the overall hospitality.

This place is visually striking. Gorgeous bar area with a large patio, with small groupings of seating. But above all the food is the star. We had the octopus, incredibly tenderly grilled, superb. The prawns were massive, perfectly prepared with a sauce I couldn’t even describe but we ate every bite. Lamb practically fell off the bone, with some kind of rub that complemented the lamb so well. For mains we had short ribs, pork chop and tortellini. We wanted so much to finish, each was delicious, short rib was mouth watering, but had to get to go boxes. So dinner tonight will be lit! lol!! One hundred percent we will be going back all the way from Chandler. Worth the drive.

First quick comment: FINALLY Our neighborhood has been desperate for a restaurant with an elevated food experience and elevated wine/cocktail menu. Heritage Kitchen delivers on both counts, while still feeling comfortable and casual. To go along with that, the staff provide a level of service that is both professional and kind. (That’s a tricky combo to pull off.) Heritage may to us “locals” be the neighborhood spot we were waiting for, but I would still put this place on your list of “must trys” even if you live elsewhere in the Valley or are visiting from afar.

Heritage Kitchen is just fantastic. We were greeted with smiles and brought to a comfortable and inviting table. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The food was outstanding; everything was cooked to perfection. We highly recommend Heritage and will be back again soon.

Great food (the grilled octopus is to die for). Thoughtful and kind service. High-end dishes but the many offerings of small plate options makes it an approachable and must-go destination. The chef is super nice. Really happy it’s in my neighorhood. I’ll be a regular.

Great restaurant and service was excellent! Favorites were Mezze platter and grilled oysters to start and shared by the table. My Iberico Pork Chop was best I’ve had in town. Really great patio to enjoy as well.

Great patio, drinks and food. Erin makes a great martini! I had the caesar and the dungeness crab tortelloni. Loved the radicchio in the caesar salad and the pasta dish was unlike anything I have had before. Can’t wait to visit Heritage more often, it was a great experience.

Loved this new spot in North Scottsdale. Food was flavorful and interesting. Ambiance is perfect - Inside and patio were inviting and attractive. Service was top notch.

Exactly what this neighborhood needed!! This place is really special and unlike anything else in the area. Classy and elegant inside with a very large patio. Incredibly high quality food, great drinks, nice atmosphere. The food is very high end for the price and everything is very sharable.

Fantastic food and service. Our group ordered a bunch of things and shared them. We loved the short rib, wedge and the sausage pizza. Highly recommended!

One of the top restaurants I’ve been to in a long-long time!! Thankful it’s in our “backyard”. Amazing atmosphere, service (Kieonte, our server was epic!) and flavors!! Would highly recommend this spot!

Love this place. Aaron, Juan and the entire staff were awesome. We ordered several entrees and pizza and shared them with our group of eight.

Best restaurant in North Scottsdale! Food, drinks, and ambiance are INCREDIBLE. I like to call it elevated, but not pretentious. Staff is professional and very knowledgeable. Everything we have eaten so far has knocked our socks off. If you have not tried Heritage Kitchen, go ASAP. You’ll be back for more, I promise!

My wife and I took the kids to Heritage Kitchen & Cocktails in north Scottsdale last night, and honestly, it was one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time. We walked in and the owner, Eric, came right over, greeted us, shook my hand, said hello to everyone. You just don’t get that kind of personal welcome very often. Really nice guy, and you can tell he actually cares that people are enjoying themselves. The restaurant itself looks sharp: clean, modern, lots of brick and wood, great lighting, but it still feels comfortable, not stuffy at all. We sat outside on the patio and it’s fantastic. Feels private and tucked away, surrounded by plants, and they have plenty of those big heaters going. Even though the desert air was cool once the sun went down, we were all perfectly warm and comfortable. The food was outstanding. I ordered the pork chop and it was easily the most tender pork chop I’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. My wife got the short ribs and they literally melted in your mouth. The kids split a pizza and pasta , both plates came back empty. Cocktails were excellent and great wine selection. Service was friendly and quick without ever making us feel rushed. Everyone working there seemed happy to be there, which makes a difference. We almost skipped dessert, but I’m glad we didn’t. The dessert menu is ridiculous in the best way. The place was packed and it’s easy to see why. It’s perfect for a family dinner, date night, or just meeting friends for drinks and appetizers on the patio. Five stars, no question. Great food, great drinks, great people. Just do yourself a favor and make a reservation; this place fills up fast, especially on weekends. We’ll be back soon.

Wow, just wow. Heritage is a wonderful new restaurant in North Scottsdale. Seasonal dishes with super flavors. My son had grilled octopus for the first time and loved it. I had the branzino and the seasoning and crispy skin was perfect. If you’re in the area don’t miss out.

Overall, very nice dinner at Heritage Kitchen. The decor and especially the outdoor patio is lovely. The vibe is upscale, warm and inviting but without being trendy. Very nice selection of craft cocktails and wines. I had the octopus as my main course and it was really excellent. Octopus can often times be overly spiced or crusty. This was tender but not mushy and perfectly seasoned. My husband had the wedge salad and meat lovers pizza which were very good. Looking forward to coming back with friends.

Absolutely wonderful meal and service. Great cocktail menu and the small plates afford a variety of meal choices to share. Our server was attentive and excellent. Finally felt that the food was a focus instead of the “scene” (although the venue was great)!

This place is excellent -the food was delicious and the service was great - HOWEVER, we had the sausage and fennel pizza, which was really good, but there were literally 2 bites of sausage (like the size of a nickel) on each slice of pizza - there are too many places to go in Scottsdale for good pizza - HERITAGE -please put the proper amount of meat on each slice on the pizza - there should be at least triple the amount on there…other than that, it was great - !

We love Heritage, we took my dad here shortly after they opened to celebrate his retirement. One of the highlights was the octopus dish, best octopus we’ve ever had. We returned to Heritage this evening to just have a quick happy hour app and order that amazing octopus, but were devastated that the portion size of the octopus this time was nearly 1/3 of the size it was when we ordered it months ago. There were more potatoes on the plate than octopus and it was almost laughable. The price of the dish has stayed the same but the size of the dish was a fraction of what it was the first time. It was really disappointing. We will return for this octopus and if the dish size returns to its original portion size that was worth the $28 you charge, I will change this 3 star review to a 5 star review, but cutting corners like this is not a great way for a new restaurant to keep regulars in the north Scottsdale area.

We had high expectations since it was recommended by a friend and all the reviews. It fell completely flat. Our server was lovely abd helpful but giving it a 1 star as the meal, drinks were extremely disappointing. We started with drinks which took 25 minutes to receive and had the speciality bread. The bread and 2 dips were the highlight of our meal. A plain old margarita had club soda in it and was $23. The martini was served but poured over glass when served, not neat. Our appetizer of there touted dishes, grilled octopus was not even a full tentacle hidden under a layer of frisee and surrounded by potatoes. They should have said it was potatoes accompanied by octopus. Main dishes included the bolonghese pizza came out 30 minutes before the other meals so one diner are alone. The pizza crust was soggy and the topping was as if they just labeled sauce on top, nothing artisan about it. The chicken parm was enough for two, but same out cold and the accompanied pasta was drowned in sauce, barely breathing. The sausage and fennel blanco pasta laden with cheese and fennel prongs, with maybe a 1/2 a sausage that had been poorly chopped with two hardtied ends thrown in. We did mention all of this to the kitchen manager, as the manager supposedly was in kitchen cooking. He offered us dessert and took off part of the meal, which we didn't request but that was appreciated. The cappuccino also came out cold and was removed from table upon request, a replacement was not even mentioned or brought out. The restaurant had the patio door and windows upon we made everything drafty. Decor is nice unfortunately the meal didn't match. For the prices and for the touts and previous meals made by this chef we wouldn't even bother with a 2nd chance.
