Their Hot Wings are the Best!! Bar None!! Cost more but WORTH THE WAIT! Make your lips burn and you can count on them being cook thoroughly!! Can't say the same about KFC!! THEY TAKE THEIR TIME!

I never thought I'd like any fast chicken place as much as grandy's, but this was even better. Awesome okra, terrific crisp breading on the juicy chicken, and they have catfish!!

We place a special order for someone that was sick and they gave us very good finger strips and we got two sides everything was very good and it was the typical Chicken Express if you like Chicken Express then it was great.

They have a deal for now that includes any three pieces of chicken and a roll for six dollars and some change. I chose three breasts. The breasts were delicious and the roll was larger than the ones I've seen in other places. My wife had the four piece tenders and gravy, and, as always, they were soft and tender and not too crunchy. Really good food if you are in the mood for chicken!

The parking lot was clean, traffic flow was good, doors and windows are clean. The place looked and smelled great. The chicken is ALWAYS hot and delicious, and some of the best iced tea in North Texas flows like a river. Make sure to say hi to Logan, he cooks that chicken up right !

I have been to this location twice the first time everything was perfect . This most recent visit they were out of several items. The chicken half the breading was off and it was stuck together.

I like it. Could have used more raw onion though. Add some rare roast beast to the menu and I'll give you that other 🌟.

Good food including their fish rolls and biscuits are good, sides are good wife likes their chick.strips and gravy use to love the gizzards but since having all my teeth pulled can no longer eat the gizzards. Love their ice tea. Good friend pies. Plenty of seating and parking. Friendly staff, drive thru.

It was always better to walk in. I could mix my own blend of lemonade and tea. The folks at the counter always had a smile to share. The food is still the same, fried chicken strips and mac'n'cheese, but using the drive through loses that nice, friendly touch.

Kaitlyn has exceptional customer service! i went there sunday, ive never had chicken express before but ive worked in customer service for over 6 years. its not often you get cashsiers/servers as well as Kaitlyn. she was extremely helpful with multiple customers, good attitude and looked out for the customers personal interest. if i had cash i wouldve tipped her. she was also very patient. most places need serves like her. she definitely earned/deserves her recognition! people of sherman come see what im talking about and pay her a visit.

No complaints about the food. My complaint is about the people filling the orders who don't or won't read the order tickets. 7 out of 10 times they will forget 1 item from my order, & it's usually mashed potatoes. If you're not eating inside, check your order thoroughly before you leave. Chances are it's missing something.

It's was pretty good tonight. Super hot as if they just finished cooking it. The gravy wasn't real thick like normal but still good. I'll definitely return. There's gotta be something wrong with the order microphone and speaker, almost impossible to hear them.

Chicken Express is always a great choice for delicious chicken. The place was clean and the employees are motivated to give the customer a great experience. A bit on the pricey side for family meals, but inflation as the supply chain issues are hitting restaurants hard. Still 4 stars and worth the trip to get a great meal.

I would have gave it a five-star however I don't care too much for chicken but the rest of my family loves chicken and they love Chicken Express! And I must say that they are pretty good or should I say real good I had the family pack I have chicken tenders with sides and all then the girl says a gallon of tea goes with that you went sweet or unsweetened ? I had no idea that they gave you a free gallon of tea and the tea is delicious. I will be going back I know my family wants me to go there and get them chicken all the time and now I won't have a problem with it because I like them too.

Make sure you check your order. I ordered the meal with tenders, fries and rolls. I was missing the fries. It's so frustrating when you order for convenience and the you become stressed out by not receiving what you ordered.

The food is good but they didn't even give me my food that I payed for so I had to call back up there just to go back and get my food.

I like getting the spick tenders but the last few times i went, they were dry and not as good. They have consistently stayed that way.

Only get sweet tea there. Price has gone in 3 yrs from $1.50/gal to $5.49! Still my favorite place to get tea from when on the go or quickly. Just dont buy as often due to price.

Iplaced an order of chicken livers dr-thru#310 I stopped in the parking lot to eat a few the lovers were cold and really old and dried out. I went back in to the restaurant and asked to re do. They said it would take 5 min fine. When they came out again it was fine. The reason for the low rating is the server should have never sent it out to the drive through that way. Plus the server looked like she could care less. No smile no thank you nothing.

Please put more than a smear of gravy in the “mashed potatoes WITH gravy”. The to-go food was not hot today and I work less than 5 minutes from restaurant. The employee at the window was extremely nice!

It may just be me, but it seems like the chicken at Chicken Express has gotten extremely expensive. I know that their tenders are wonderful and their chicken is really good and they're sweet tea is awesome but I used to be able to go get a meal to feed four people and not spend 60 bucks and that's hard to do at Chicken Express these days. It is really good though.

The chicken 🍗 here has always been good, but this last time we got 3 pieces of chicken 🐓 breast that were raw, the good thing the manager was very nice and gave us a replacement order!!

Second time in 2 weeks I order the 4 pc chicken tenders and they look like 4 chicken nuggets...what is up with that?! Paying the same price as always, quit making nuggets and go back to regular size tenders.

Was in drive thru for about 30 mins at dinner time. 3 cars behind me got their food b4 we did. Employees were rude, acted like we were bothering them when I asked how much longer. We were told that they "ran out" of chicken... During dinner rush. On the bright side, we did get fresh, hot tenders... lol

Chicken tasted old & kinda stale like. Okra was cold. Mp were ok & rolls always good lol. But I Paid 28.00 dollars to feed my family for a box of old chicken & cold okra. Very dissatisfied & discouraged. Spoke w/Roy the manager, he said bring it back & I'll replace it....what with old chicken! & get these kids back out to wait! No thanks. I told him I'd speak with corporate or area manager & he just repeated himself with bring it back & I'll replace it. Won't be returning to spend that much money!

Music so loud it was uncomfortable. There's no need for it. 7/16/25 Things seemed to change for a while but today I came here and they had loud pounding music playing. I couldn't relax or concentrate on reading the news. Placed on the no go list.

Deffinetly not the best chicken express that I have been to. Went at noon. Rolls were old. Chicken and corn nuggets cold. Service was good or I would rate at a 1 star.. Not busy at all. May be a reason for that.

The chicken tenders are never brown enough and the crust falls off of them. I ask for extra crispy but they do not cooperate. They were out of 3 side items today. Not planning to ever go back. Have eaten there many times but today was the last straw. Sherman location. Denison location is so much better.

How does anyone afford to eat here anymore?? 12 chicken strips and 2 family sides were FIFTY DOLLARS! Never again. Service is pretty lackluster as well but that's never kept me from good food. Seems like prices have gone up here but quality has gone down.

I went there for lunch and was very surprised at how expensive it was for a 25 piece tender with 2 sides. Over 45.00bdollars. I was like dang it even that good and then when I get home which only takes me seven minutes my potatoes were cold and my rolls were so dark and over cooked I wouldn’t even eat it. I probably won’t go back there either. Lord I’m just going to cook at home.

Check your box before you leave to make sure your meat has not been sitting for too long especially if you're ordering liver or Gizzards cause they will be hard enough to knock someone out!. I've had this happen more times than not with my chicken as well.

Haven't eaten here in a long time and decided to try it again today. I wanted it bad too. Got inside and this weird short girl tried taking my order. Most annoying acting person ever in a restaurant. She acted just like a robot and I do not deal with robots. They always seem kinda snobbish. Anyway, I eventually just told it to cancel the whole order and called her a robot chicken as I left the restaurant. I won't try coming back as long as she/its is still there. She's not real.

The food was good but the customer service was awful and made the whole experience bad. I ordered in the drive through and all that was said by the woman who took my order was “chicken express” no how can i help you or anything. Then I went to the drive through, with a car in front of me and a car behind. For some reason, the same girl, charged the car behind me and waited until I was at the window to charge my order. Then when I got up there, she had my food, placed it on the window seal and walked away, letting my food be MOVED from the window shutting. My food almost fell. The food was good, but the service was so poor.

We had a small problem, I called and I was talked to like I was trash...they messed up our order and I just wanted them to fix it.....it seems like every restaurant does this and doesn't care if we catch it and call in....I was talked to like I was trash..and I will never be back to Chicken Express...NEVER AGAIN...Should be shut down

This Chicken Express has gone way, way, way down hill. I have been here several times and each time I come here they never have any food ready. Each time they have an excuse as to why they don't have the food ready. Be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes to get your food.

I was very dissatisfied with the food and service. My side orders were cold and when I told the manager he simply reheated my food instead of giving fresh, hot food.

The food the last few times I've gone has been cold/old, the employees spend more time talking about their personal lives than helping the customers.

The prices on the menu are wrong and they charge way more than other Chicken Express stores nearby. Show them the price on mebu and they just said it's wrong.

Put boxes in open and side ways the bag was so full that you couldn't even tie it and my food went everywhere

I LIVE IN CELINA, TEXAS. I WAS SHOPPING AT WALMART IN SHERMAN, TEXAS. I WAS SO TIRED AND HUNGRY. I ORDERED CHICKEN LIVERS AND COULDN'T WAITE UNTIL I GO HOME TO HEAT MY CHICKEN LIVERS, CREME POTATOES & GRAVY TO EAT. I OPENED THE BOX AND THERE LAY CHICKEN TENDERS. AND HOT SPICY ONES AT THAT. I CAN NOT EAT SPICY FOOD. NOW I HAVE TO DRIVE 35 MILES (???) ONE WAY, TAKE 90 MINS. TO MAKE THEM GIVE ME THE RIGHT FOOD. BUT THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY NICE.

I went here on 1/18/2018 @1pm, drive through #371 receipt number 40065. First off the food took 15 minutes to get. The drive through lady was talking about sexual relations with her multiple boyfriends with another coworker and talking about smoking pot. Register #3 on receipt. Next my food was overcooked so bad that I almost broke a tooth biting into. Is there not a manager on duty? Or maybe that was the manager talking so inappropriately. This used to be one of my favorite places now you can't pay me to go here!

I said I would never go back but I did, called ahead for livers and ordered fries and extra gravy, got home and no fries. I knew better. Will not go back again! And there was not another customer there, so it wasn't as if they were busy...

Went there to buy food for my mother and sick grandmother who is dying and they didn't give the full order and acted like there wasn't more couldn't even turn around to fix the order so my money was wasted service was poor and I am highly unsatisfied

The service was terrible. Employee's had no care for their customers. My fried okra was burnt and our chicken was cold. I will never eat at this chicken express again. My kids and I were very disappointed.

I was driving on 75 headed back to Dallas on my way from Oklahoma and I stopped in Sherman and ordered $40 worth of food only to get to McKinney and noticed that all of the food was dry and overcooked. The owners policy is to drive all the way back to Sherman for a refund or new order. If your driving thru Sherman and don't live there, DO NOT risk buying food from here. Absolutely the worst response anyone could have told me!

I placed an order online and I attempted to use the drive-thru to pick it up. The individual working the window wagged her finger and motioned for me to leave. She couldn’t even be bothered to open the window and speak to me like a human being. If I treated my customers the way that she chose to treat me, I would be out of business. So, I choose to no longer spend my money at a place that allows their employees to treat paying customers this way. The individual working that window has no business in customer service.

I ordered a special with a sweet tea. I had no idea the special comes with roaches in my drink. And when I had informed the manager he called me a liar. My chicken looked and tasted old

It was absolutely terrible.. I have never in all my life have seen such a bad attitude from a server. I asked for a better piece of chicken and thanked the lady. When I left I thanked her again and she would not even acknowledge me, in fact showed a totally bad attitude toward me. To be truthful I was sat close to her and never saw her greet anybody nicely. If she hated her job so bad she should not be serving at the front counter.

Warning if you plan on going here don't be surprised. There attitude sucks. If I'm asking for more food and you tell me what else in a very rude manner than don't expect my service. Okra way over cooked can't even pinch it to break it. Only thing good was the sweet tea.

This is the worst Chicken Express I've ever patronized! One, the young lady working the drive thru had the worst customer service and attitude. Two, I don't know how you screw up sweet tea, but it was terrible. Tasted like super sweet water; which is upsetting because I love Chicken Express sweet tea. Hopefully something changes!!

The last few times I have visited the store on Texoma Pkwy I've been extremely dissatisfied. The mashed potatoes are gummy and have a nasty taste to them, the country gravy looks old and has a gray tint.the service is lacking in friendliness. I won't be back. Along with that it seems the cost has gone up again. I'm going back to Churches. Cheaper fresher and courteous service.

I’ve never had a bad experience at any location until today. I ordered a #2 spicy and before I could add anything else I was told my total. I asked if I could add on a side of mashed potatoes and all she said was yeah. I get home and realize that I got normal tenders and it would be sort of fine except that they’re mushy and the breading is coming off and they don’t look appetizing at all. It’s extremely disappointing. I was looking forward to this after craving it all day yesterday during a 12.5 hour shift on Mother’s Day. This was my treat to myself and my 1 year old for lunch today. It’s going to be along time before going back to this location.

I don't know why I continue to give this place a try I guess it's so I don't have to drive all the way to plano to get some fried chicken. This place is awful. The tenders are so dry, overcooked, and mostly breading. It also doesn't help they pre make hundreds of tenders that just sit under a heat lamp all day. I'd rather wait 20 minutes for fresh food especially for the cost. If I'm spending 40 bucks on chicken it better be damn good. But for some reason managers in denison/sherman are the laziest people I've ever met. How can the same company in another city be that much better but it's like night and day. The plano chicken express is absolutely incredible. So fresh, customer service is top notch, bathrooms and inside the restaurant are super clean. For some reason out here where I live these adults stuck working minimum wage jobs put minimum effort into the service and quality and it really shows. I'm shocked they have been able to stay open because I read the reviews and I'm not the only one who thinks the exact same thing. Shame on you Sherman chicken express.

I went in today ( 8/13/ 24 at 7:37pm ) after not having them for a while and the white girl with black hair at the register was EXTREMELY rude she acted as if she didn’t wanna even be there . She then proceeded to get my order wrong which is fixable so u wouldn’t think that’s an issue but she instead got upset and didn’t say anything to me brought my food out and threw it on the table and when I said thank you she looked way and started helping someone else . Just for me to get home and the food is absolutely disgusting the tenders were soooo salty I couldn’t even finish my meal. Definitely won’t be going back .

Ordered from here a few days ago, usually the food is pretty good but this time was horrible. The food was extremely cold, the fries weren't the same, the okra was rubbery, the chicken was so unbelievably hard that it cut the roof of my mouth from the first bite. The gravy was more thick than usual and tasted like a gallon of salt was dumped into it. I honestly feel like the food was tampered with, either by the restaurant or by the one who delivered it. It made me sick and I immediately started throwing up. Solid 1/10, good experience, won't try again.
