I love going to Rudy's. The service is good,the food is Great. I love the bake potatoes with 2 meat.the employee are friendly.

Great BBQ!! Extra large bbq baker was delicious! Sauce is awesome as well. Prices are very reasonable. Peach cobbler and banana pudding for dessert was excellent as well. Can't wait for a return visit.

I was visiting from dallas yesterday and had a taste for some bbq. Place felt like I was at a relative’s! Elizabeth, the cashier, walked me through the entire menu. There wasnt a long wait and the entire team were friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

When a friend heard we were passing through Tyler, TX, he told us to eat at Rudy’s BBQ and it did not disappoint! The brisket and pulled pork were juicy and tender, but the star of the show was the green chili stew! It was so good and unlike anything I’ve ever eaten. The staff were incredibly friendly and answered all our questions, letting us know what their favorite items to eat were. I’d recommend eating here!

The Potato salad and the cream corn were delicious. We were told that we had to try the cream corn by some of our friends and it did not disappoint. We also ordered a pound of the moist brisket. It did not disappoint either. The brisket was very moist and tender. The employees were very friendly and efficient. The jalapeño sausage was also very good. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Talk about some good BBQ. This place has been around since I was a kid. Definitely worth stopping in and trying out the brisket sandwich and omg the chocolate pudding!!

I decided to get the breakfast bowl today it was fresh and warm and the yellow barbecue sauce made it even better.

Out of all of the chain bbq restaurants, this is the best. Their sauce is unbeatable and after a certain weight of meat purchased, they include a large bottle free of charge. Both the original and sissy sauce is fantastic. Don't forget to grab a banana pudding.

Rudy's has been one of, if not the best, places to go to for barbecue since I was a kid! All of the items on their menu are delicious, and every single one of them has the most tender cuts of meat whether it be the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, you name it, it's good! I always have had a weakness for the double meat smoked potatoes with brisket and for my other meat I usually bounce back and forth between the jalapeno cheese sausage, pulled pork, and the smoked turkey! They have really good BBQ sauce and I get a bottle of it whenever I can! I dine in and order to go often and no matter what I get it, whether it's the potato, a sandwich, or the ribs, it never disappoints. I always love to dine in and enjoy the beers or specialty sodas they have when you walk in that are literally ice cold, but would also recommend taking advantage of the large cups they offer for fountain drinks! If you bring back the cup for your next Visit they will refill it for less than a dollar! They also have some of the best chocolate pudding for their desserts! I also enjoy that you can go and place an online order ahead of time and it will be ready by the time you get there or you can walk in and order at the counter for the full experience and it's a usually a very short wait time unless the line is long. All in all I have never had a bad thing to say about this place!

Always great food and atmosphere here, I've been to almost all the locations around DFW. This place never disappoints, and I'm very particular when it comes to bbq.

So this was my husband and my first time and it was absolutely AMAZING! The service and food was a 10 out of 10! We definitely will be back.

It was my first visit. The taste of the BBQ was excellent. The ordering process and seating is different than most places. It is like a cafeteria. You might be seated by someone you don't know. The staff guided me along. While ordering, you can request samples of the different varieties of meats. When you receive your order you can add different items to it like peppers and onions. The atmosphere is interesting. There are old advertising signage and memorabilia on the interior walls.

Elizabeth was so nice and patient with us, very sweet! Loaded potato w/ brisket, turkey, brisket sandwiches were delicious however; the jalapeño cheese one the skin was tuff. Would like music turned down somewhat.

If you like BBQ, try Rudy's. The brisket and the Saugatuck is awesome. The potatoes salad was excellent. The corn and the ice tea was also very good. Overall experience in this location was awesome.

Very good food. I don't eat pork so I tried the stuffed potato with smoked turkey and the chicken. They both were so good. I tried the brisket as well and it was tender and delicious too. Try eating here if you've never been. It's a laid back atmosphere. A must go.

My husband and I came here for the first time today. The layout was different from what I expected but the second I walked in, I let them know it was our first time in and the staff was so helpful. They gave us samples before buying and explained how the menu worked. The food was absolutely astounding! The turkey is the best I've ever had hands down!

They were all so nice and accepting. I 100% cannot reccoment this place enough! You wont be disappointed! First time trying authentic Texan bbq as a Canadian. The brisket meat was so tender, perfectly cooked! Must try their breakfast tacos (only served until a specific time), hands down the best! We also tried just the meat, and the peach cobbler, it’s easy to see how hard it is to stay healthy over here, this food was phenomenal, hard to put down! Service has been meh, but definitely worth it for the experience. Will try the Turkey meat next!

I went at 8:30 in the morning hungry because of a dream, the large amount of brisket wasn't cut yet because that's supposed like 11 but they went out of their way to make my dream come true and cut me 1lbs and made me 2 breakfast tacos, eggs, brisket and potatoes, sooo hot and soooo good. Did the drive thru last night. The Pulled Pork and regular Brisket was awesome! Beans were not my favorite, the coleslaw was a bit dry and 6 pickles for 2 lbs of meat did not seem quite right. But the lady in the drive thru on her last few minutes of the shift (445pm) was fabulous!! Great service with a smile! She knew how to take a joke from a Yankee!😉😁

Good BBq chain, I prefer this one over others I have been to in other cities. The service is always pretty good. If something is wrong they will take care of it quickly. Love their Jalapeno Cheddar sausage, it's great. Other than that everything is usually pretty good here.

Really good brisket sandwich was more than I can eat. Sauces are on the table. Plenty of fixins on a side bar if yiu like pickles, onion, peppers, etc., at no extra charge. Banana pudding was just average, but who goes to a BBQ joint for dessert anyway?

Flavorful bbq. I like how they give you samples if you’re new there. Potato salad was spot on, Cole slaw was pretty sweet, and the banana pudding and buttermilk pie were phenomenal. Not my favorite bbq, but I can see why people like it.

Stopped in for some BBQ for the first time in many years at this location and I wasn't disappointed.. we stopped in on a Friday in the mid afternoon. Restaurant was not busy and the food was great.. service was also great .. this isn't the best bbq in Texas but you could definitely do much worse .. would visit again and reccomend

The food was excellent, as it always has been!! We came here on our way back home!! I don’t know how the daytime crew is but the night time crew really has barely any hustle!! While they are making your food they just talk to each other, so it took them about 15 minutes to make some meat!!

I knew going in BBQ is expensive. $53.43 for 2 sandwiches,four sides, 2 iced teas, and 2 deserts. The chilled sides are self serve and you are expected to know to get them from the cooler before you get to the counter to order the type of meat you want on your untoasted average grocery store bun. We had chopped brisket. Not especially good. Strong smoke taste. Dry and the 2 choices of sauce are MEH 😕. They are on the tables in bottles with liquor style dispenser spouts. The sauce will not come out of. Others were pulling them off to pour the sauce. The sides: beans are a no. canned two kinds of beans mixed together with mystery seasoning, I wouldn't get them again. The coleslaw was okay. The potato salad was the highlight of the meal. Reminiscent of moms German potato salad. Desert: banana pudding was not bad. The seating 🙄. I'm 68 yrs old. 6ft 2in tall 245 lbs. Folding metal chairs that are great if you are in preschool. Way too low to the floor. There's a large gas station that's got a better sandwich for less $$. Not a fan... Try it for yourself, if I am too harsh.... It's because I have cooked tons of bbq a place thats been open since the early 1970's.

I had moist brisket. The brisket was so fat I had to throw away half of what I bought. At twenty bucks a pound that means that I threw away $10 worth of fat. See if you'd be happy with that. The beans would be good if they were warm. I guess the best thing about the meal was the coleslaw. My wife got baby back ribs and they were very good . She also got creamed corn and said it was good. So 50% of the meal was good and the rest was so so. Over 40 bucks for two people I would say try somewhere else.

It's probably just a taste preference, but this is not your normal pit cooked, pulled pork. It isn't bad, but not what I prefer, either. However, they had plenty of customers. The place was clean, and the service was efficient and friendly. It's not them. It's me.

We ordered our food. Then we're asked if we wanted to TIP. Tip who? At no time we're we helped to, or at our table by any employee. I've never been asked to tip ahead of time by any cashier anywhere. I didn't tip the cashier. Very strange.

I ordered a half a rack of baby back ribs cost about $20.00 I ate half of the ribs and couldn't finish because the meat is just too dry. The flavor is basic. The people however are very friendly, great atmosphere, very welcoming.. I'm sure they might have other dishes that would be better for me but as far as the ribs it's nothing to really write home about.

I ordered my food online at 6pm for a 7pm pick up time. I arrived at Rudys a little early at 650 and checked in using the text message they sent for check in. I then called at 706 to see if my order was ready and was told that my order was not yet completed. I only ordered 2 brisket potatoes, a pound of turkey and a half pound of brisket. There have been 3 cars thru the drive thru since we arrived.I finally received my order at 7:13pm

I ordered the brisket moist and jalapeño cheddar sausage through uber eats. Everything was delivered in a good time. The only issue was when I opened the brisket it looked and felt like dried up pot roast. Rudy’s is usually dependable but this location must have teenagers cutting up the brisket. Thank God for the jalapeño sausage which is always great. If you want brisket moist at this location you’re better off going to the gas station and getting beef jerky since it’ll be more tender than what they’re serving

Sometimes you get good service, sometimes the employees are just there for a paycheck. I usually get the smoked potato, and again, sometimes it's good and blended with decent amount of meat on there. Sometimes the cheese seems close to being frozen with barely any meat. All in all definitely worth a try, and I'll continue to come back, just not very often because it is a bit pricey.

First time coming in and most likely the last. It was between this place and Juicys next door. I decided to give Rudy's a chance. Not the best choice. I like pork, with pulled pork sandwiches being my favorite, so that's what I ordered. I should have known it was going to be seriously lacking when I saw them remove it from a warning pan with an ice cream scoop and then spread it in the bun. Pulled pork is one of the easiest BBQ items to make, but this just looked like soggy mush on a bun. Gave it a try anyways and I was disappointed with the bland soggy meat. BBQ sauce helped with flavor, but not enough. The baked beans were about the only flavorful thing. They were good, with just a hint of spice. When checking out, the computer asked for a tip...... I gave one thinking service would be good. NOPE..... I tipped, but regretted it after I sat down. You have to clean your own table and put your own tray and trash away. Not complaining as it's no big deal to clean up after myself, but with the cost of the food and the request for a tip, I want expecting it to be a full self service restaurant. Lesson learned. Tipping culture has gotten way out of hand. Welp, guess I can mark Rudy's off my list of must tries. Don't plan to be back for the price and lack of flavor I received.

The brisket is good. No denying that, but the management has problems. It took 30 minutes for the staff to serve 5 people in line. Only one out of 4 at the front counter seemed to be actually doing any work, and even that was slow. All were young kids. Where are the adults? They also charged MORE PER POUND for a full pound of brisket than a half pound. How does that make sense? Didn't like the slaw either. Just no flavor. Management, you've got some work to do. Pay for a good supervisor.

Been eating at Rudy’s for years all over Texas and never had a worse experience. We walked in the door at 12:30 and the lady behind the counter was hollering the announcement that they were out of brisket. She was fairly rude while helping us. As she was gathering up our orders we watched as there was a huge brisket being carved up for the chosen ones. That’s pretty disappointing when we only get a rare chance to stop in now that we live out of the state. Please do better next time. This makes me sad.

They should change the name to Rude. The lady at the counter who I believe was named Elizabeth D. (Per the receipt) had a horrible attitude and seemed to be perturbed that we wanted to add to go items to our dine in order. She hollered at the other employees about it like it was a hassle for her. I won't be back to this location as it's not worth the hassle. Soulman's BBQ has nice and friendly staff so I'm sticking with them from here on out. Also, they had no pickles which is just unsatisfactory.

Line was pretty fast, but having never been here before I was trying to figure out my order. There were no "plates", everything was priced individual, per my SIL. Pulled pork was tasty, but the amount of meat does not match rhe bun. When I was a little delayed in ordering, the person behind the counter said what else? What else??? Very rude. I decided to try the ribs as well, and she gave me a "REALLY?" LOOK and was very irritated. Evidently I didnt order in the correct order. Wish I had saved my $7.50 for two tough ribs. I also got corn, which had been sitting in water forever. (I would prefer to have waited for a 3 minute fresh microwave cook), and some butter to put on it. On the only good side, the potato salad was great. My bill was almost $26 and I felt like I had just wasted $26. My family loves this place, I say leave me out when planning dinner or lunch here.

I love Rudy's but I was disappointed with the moist brisket in this location. It was not as moist and the beef was hard/tough. That's why I am giving it a 1 star.

Drive thur was 6 cars deep so I went on the inside. Walked up to the counter to order and I was the only person at the counter to order. There was 6 employees standing with backs turned to me and no one acknowledged I was there. I waited and then just walked out. When your business drops off due to sales I would look at replacing lazy employees. Customers will always return when someone offers good customer service.

This place has gone downhill. Guy taking order didn't know what picante or salsa was and replied "oh you want some red sauce". Put the wrong meat on it. Ate a bit and threw it away. Just terrible. And the drive through was soooooo slow b/c apparently they want to hand you the credit card machine so they can mooch for tips in a drive through that is slow as molasses.

Very skimpy on the meat, I got a baked potatoe and it probably had less of a 1/4 of a pound of brisket lol on it. The female Manager on shift tonight was a big micro manager, everything that the staff would do she would be right there to correct them, on the smallest things. All the employees seemed very capable so I was confused as to why she was constantly inputting on simple things ! Made it seem like she was making the work environment hostile.

Got there at 10:15 a.m., wanting some brisket tacos made with no egg. They told me no because it was after 10 and there only selling lunch. I was disappointed but understood, but it was when my son and I were walking out of the store without buying that many of the employees started laughing at us. The meat is great, but I do not like the bread as to why I wanted the tortillas instead. Was very disappointed in the way they did us, and it will be a long time before I try again.

Absolutely disappointed in this place. The baked potato was way over cooked and for the price per potato I could have made better ones at home. Sorry to have come here I won't be coming again .....

Person charged me for double meat. And only had one serving of meat. Then me.and co worker got sick from here. I use to love this bbq place but after being over charged and getting sick I won't eat here even if it's free. One pic is my coworker who got the same as I did but with a different cashier. You can clearly see the difference.
