Starting off with the chips and salsa was great. I mean yes it is just chips and salsa but the salsa had a great taste and spice to it. The chicken enchiladas (red and green) where delicious. You can get them in orders of either 1 or two. Only thing I didn't like was that after we got our food no one checked on us. We had asked for extra chips to eat with our beans and we never got them. The weather was cold so it wasn't like we could wait for because within a couple of minutes the food was already cold. ( the weather is not the waiters fault) but because we where sitting out side and it was windy and cold we should of been checked on a little more.

The food looked great, presentation was cool beans. I ordered a 3-item plate with chile relleno, tamale, and steak enchilada. While everything looked appetizing, the chile relleno tasted like it was fried in old oil and seemed like it had been sitting out. My plate didnt deserve to eat first, even though phones eat first. Overall, the food was just okay. But the biggest shock? $136 for 3 people before tip. For that price, I expected better quality and flavor. Definitely overpriced for the value offered.

The service was good and the restaurant is pretty. They also have an outdoor patio area which is cute. However none of the food had any flavor. I ordered a chille relleno and two flautas. For relleno lacked flavor. Maybe the broth needs more flavor. The batter was also more of a pancake than an egg white foam .

The menudo broth looks and tastes like it’s been watered down, maybe so that it lasts throughout the day. The meat, the maiz and the garnishes are excellent. The molcajetes are their staple, I’ ve had them in the past and I do recommend them.

Gorgeous atmosphere, with a beautiful interior, patio, and bar. When I went, there were 3 different birthdays with lots of smiling families. Staff was friendly and attentive, when they weren't singing birthday songs. Most under-seasoned Mexican food I've ever eaten. Highly Americanized. I ordered the Carne Asada. The plate it came with had a salad with croutons and french fries on it alongside the rice and beans. This struck me as odd. In the running for least tasty Mexican restaurant I've been to.

Food is great. But you walk in and staff walks by you without acknowledging you. I’ve worked in the food service for over 59 years and as a Regional Chef, I understand the importance of customer service. I was totally ignored and a couple that came in after me was seated first. Three people walked right past me and one was what I assume was a phone order, but not even an “I’ll be right with you glance” All I could say was wow and just walked out.

This place is very fancy well designed but the food is below the street market value. I bought both chicken and beef burritos. They’re probably 1 tablespoon of chicken in the whole burrito is very tasteless. I had four different people taste it. Everybody came up with the same review that this place is not worth it. They make everything look fancy to charge you $30 for a burrito but it’s not worth two dollars save your money go to a taco truck instead.

The employees were super nice. Unfortunately the service not so well. It took 15min for drinks. And even after we got the drink’s, by the time we were ready to order everyone in the table needed refills. After we ordered the food 5/6 orders were ready and by the time the last plate came everyone was half way done. Needed to ask 4 times for refills. And for more chips as well. The main problem was asking for a $60 tip on a $350 bill which we gave. Server only came when called. All 5 of us work for restaurants and we understand the restaurant work. But this was ridiculous. Late food/No checkup/No boxes/No bill and still wanted a decent tip? Not pleased.

I used to love ordering from Mexico Tipico when I lived in Union City. Friday night I was visiting family in Union City and I was excited that we decided to order from Mexico Tipico. My nephew picked up the order and when he got home I noticed that they did not give me 2 bottled sodas. No big deal I called and asked if I could get a refund. This is where things took a horrible turn. The phone gets passed around to about a million people finally a woman gets on the phone and says NO I cannot have a refund. Taken back by her response I asked why not and the phone hangs up. Now I'm mad. I call back and ask to speak to someone in charge. I guy named Efren gets on the phone. I inform him of my desire to get a refund for two expensive $5 bottles of soda that were not added in my order Efren says OK no problem puts the phone down only to come back and tell me no He cannot give me a refund because no one who knows how to do it is working he would only be able to refund my whole order . . . by this point that was not a bad idea. So he starts offering suggestions and tells me if I come back tomorrow the manager will be working and maybe then he can give me a refund or give me 2 bottles of soda. By then I realized they got me for $10. I normally would have gone back and got my refund if I still lived out there. But because I now live in Santa Clara County it would cost me more than $10 had a drove all the way to Union City and back. Won't be going back to Mexico Tipico until all the staff that engage in taking money learn how to give a refund and since I know that will never happen I won't be back. Sadly, I'm not even upset cause their food did not taste as good as it did when I lived out there. I'm not missing anything.

bad customer service, OVERPRICED, bad food 23 dollars for 3 quesabirrias?? Seriously? They were okay not even good I asked for a chicken quesadilla and It ONLY had cheese I asked if the garlic fries were small and she said yes I paid $8 for all of this that could feed 2 people. They tasted bad, the lady that took my order never told me they were spicy and had chili flakes. Just bad overpriced restaurant, don’t go. At least the only thing that tasted good was the $6 lemonade 🤦🏻‍♀️

The experience I had tonight was horrible,if I could give less than one star I would. I had to ask for things that should have been provided like water and napkins after our dinner arrived. The things asked for came 15 minutes asking for them. Not to mention several different people staff members coming and removing things off the table without asking if we were done. The server had no clue about the menu and did not provide good service. She forgot things and walked past without asking if things were ok. My sour cream and tortillas came at the end of the meal and never once did she apologize for her lack of attention to her table. We had to ask for the check twice, she just kept speed waking past with her back towards us saying it’s coming. The manager who we requested came to the he table but he was just as bad and not helpful. He seemed uninterested to hear the concerns in his establishment. Myeloid was not a good server, and Victor the manager need to be retrained on customer service. Now for the food TERRIBLE!!!! That’s the review only the white rice was good.
