We ate here very delicate food. The starter, the fish of the day (turbot fish) and the dessert were all very tasty. The staff who helped us was very friendly and attentive. The music was very nice, soft jazz style, not loud, matching the peaceful ambience. From the beginning till the end great experience. Thank you. We'd like to come again when we come back to Venice.

Spectacular place - warm service, inviting ambiance and spectacular food. We had the sea bream ravioli in green pea sauce and it was great - fresh and light. Then the turbot for two, served with vegetables. Fish was firm and juicy, vegetables were rich and warm. It was perfect - not fussy or overly rich. This is excellent dining. They asked to stay for a limincello on the house. Highly recommend. .

The food was absolutely delicious. We decided to switch things up with some seafood, and we definitely made the right choice. The octopus was perfectly cooked, the fish was divine, and the tiramisu and crème brûlée were some of the best we’ve had in Venice!

The food was amazing here! The waiters were extremely attentive, constantly filling up our drinks and making sure the food was okay. We ate the duck ragu, fillet steak and grilled sea ass and each dish was a 10/10

Well, dinning at this restaurant was a unique experience which will remain in our memory for long time from now on. The waiter gave us the best experience, because of how he treated us. The food is quite good and we recommend trying seafood (grilled sea food mix, San Marino spaghetti and risotto with seafood). We first thought it’s a tourist trap but it is not.

Really wonderful experience all around. We shared sauté clams and mussels to start - the shell fish was very fresh and plump, the light tomato white wine sauce was so delicious and not overly salty, which makes it absolutely pleasantly “drinkable”. For mains, we had seafood pasta (spaghetti San Marco), mixed fried seafood and grilled octopus - all three dishes were spot in. The intensive flavor of the seafood pasta was finger licking good, the fried seafood was fresh crispy yet tender (not a second over fried) and the octopus had a lightly charcoal/caramelized grilled exterior with very tender interior - the dishes were beautiful. To end the meal, we shared a lemon custard for dessert which was the perfect sweet and tangy finish to our meal. Finally, we very much appreciated the friendly and attentive service from the staff, especially the visits from the owner (we assumed he was the owner because he demonstrated so much ownership in making sure the customers were cared for and had a good time). It was a great dining experience overall with great food, attentive service, new/clean facilities and a sense of professionalism.

Walking outside the main tourist route we found a beautiful canal and a number of interesting restaurants. We made a note of this and went back for lunch. The staff were excellent, extremely friendly and made good alternative options for us. The menu is not crazy long as so many are here, which to us means that they’re concentrating on quality dishes, not just trying to cater to every passing tourist. The wine list was excellent and’s very well priced. The food was, dare I say, better than the food we had at a famous restaurant the night before and a lot less expensive. Coming from Tasmania, where we have the best scallops on the planet (seriously, you need to go and try them fresh), we really liked the one they served on the traditional tasting plate. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, moist, textured and very flavoursome. The tortellini (looking just like gondolas) with sea bream was equally as good. The meal was topped off with a complementary amaro, different for each of us (which lead to an interesting discussion about flavours until we realised we weren’t drinking the same thing!). Overall, excellent and very good value. GBF (Go Back Factor) 7/10. I would strongly consider returning if I’m in the area.

Excellent meal at this canal-side restaurant specialising in seafood. Beautiful presentation matched by skilled cooking - my sesame-encrusted tuna was perfectly seared and tender, and our shared seafood appetiser was a sensory delight with a tasty selection of fish and shellfish served in a variety of ways. The tiramisu was also spot on, and charmingly served in a Kilner Jar. Good service even on a very busy Saturday night. Thoroughly impressive.

To be honest, the food wasn’t that great which adds to my general irritation at this restaurant. The pasta was just ok. I’m shocked by the fantastic reviews, the pasta was kinda soggy and there wasn’t much flavor (and I got the duck ragu pasta - duck always has tons of flavor so I’m very surprised). Additionally, they will ignore you when you ask for tap water. Got bottled water (so wasteful) they then charged me 4.50 for. I get it’s customary, but it’s not even included in the cover (additional 3.50 for bread I’ll never eat because I can’t, I can only hope they give it to someone so it isn’t wasted). The total cost of these unnecessary additions is double for most restaurants in Italy I’ve been to, and added a full 30% to my bill. Maybe I’ve been lucky, but this is the first time I’ve been flat out ignored on my water request in years of visiting Italy. It just seems wild and wasteful when the fantastic tap water is a selling point of tourism in Italy, but I guess that’s a wider conversation to be had. All in all, if this is what I am to expect in Venice compared to the rest of Italy, I think I’ll just go to the grocery store.
