Amazing sandwiches each and every time! One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Everything is simply scrumptious!
One of the best small delis around the Bay Area! The place is small but the food is amazing! Great place to pick up a yummy sandwich (or other items) parkingis limited and can get busy quickly with a line out the door but it is definitely worth the wait! 10 out of 10 recommend
The best hidden gem around. Large sandwiches (1 size only) for 10$. You will not find a better or cheaper sandwich place in Walnut Creek.
Meatball was 10/10. Long wait, but quality sandwich. More seating could be useful, this place is popular! The ham, cheese breadsticks are exceptionally good! First visit today, will go back for sure (maybe ordering online for time sake)
First off, the sandwiches are bomb! Second, the employees are super nice! I called in an order the other day and Kaitlin was the one who answered. She made me feel so comfortable and like we were lifelong friends. I will be ordering again in the near future. I know that everyone else will be just as helpful as Kaitlin was. Thank you guys so much!
Morrucci’s has a great menu, and their sandwiches really deliver. The prices are reasonable, the service is solid, and the ingredients are consistently fresh. The #6 with a chicken breast, pesto, and extra glaze is my go-to.
I came here around 3pm so I was able to place my order quickly. This is a deli so the atmosphere was as expected. There is indoor & outdoor seating. I think they had every flavor of Kettle chips imaginable. Unexpectedly, they had Semifreddis products, which I love.
Great Deli. Always busy with a strong team of employees providing excellent service. We always get sandwiches here on our way to watch St Mary's Soccer games.
Chicken Pesto Sandy w/Bacon is absolutely delicious. An ice cold lemonade to go with it. Can’t complain here then expecting to wait for a few minutes due to the high volume of customers at lunch time. Highly Recommend
My favorite place in the Bay Area for delicious sandwiches!! They have some of the best and freshest options for toppings whether it’s for a sandwich or a side the food here never disappoints! I’d suggest going early and don’t go before 3, the later you go the chances are they are either sold out or put things away to prep for closing. The line can be crazy out the door but it’s worth the wait, every second! Been going here for years and the #2 is my favorite!
My office is in downtown Walnut Creek and I decided to take a break from the overpriced, underwhelming, $20 lunches that come with a side of poor service and go for a little five minute drive, where I found Morucci’s. They offer a large menu of sandwiches and salads, and because it was difficult to narrow it down. I decided to start at the top and go with the #1 one Italian sub. It was really incredible! Rather than add on the suggested mustard or pesto, I asked for an unconventional ingredient to be added to an Italian sandwich (Mayo) and I was grateful that they didn’t (outwardly) judge me for my choice, because combined with the Italian dressing it was the perfect creamy, tangy combo. There’s a lovely outdoor shaded eating area where I was able to enjoy my sandwich. I will absolutely be back very soon. I’m hoping to work my way down the menu, but that Italian sub is going to be tough to beat. More Morucci’s, please!
Great tasting delicious sandwiches, friendly and fast service, nice outdoor setting with shade all at very reasonable prices. I wish I had discovered this place years ago. My wife had a BLT on a croissant roll that was delicious, and filling. The croissant was large not a tiny one. I had the tri-tip sandwich that was filling with quality meat. I just wished the meat had a touch more flavor, but was still delicious.
This is my favorite deli in the east bay. My go to shop when I want a good sandwich. Today I tried the breakfast burrito and was pretty disappointed, I had high expectations since I love everything else here. Everything in the breakfast burrito tasted as all the ingredients were all microwaved with chewy bacon and hard potatoes. I’ll be sticking to the sandwiches going forward.
This is a great place with a good staff. One of my go to places when I want a good sandwich and chips
It's a neighborhood deli. Prices may reflect sizes of the sandwiches, but definitely NOT the quality!!! Super tasty and fresh. One of my many new stops...😁
Reminiscent of a New York deli. First time they took my in person order right away and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. It was delicious. Second visit they were overwhelmed. They did what they called was a "pause" and stopped taking in person and online orders. I waited the better part of 20 minutes and still hadn't been able to just place my order in person and neither could the people ahead of me or behind me. I was really hungry but I had to go and couldn't wait any longer. So disappointing. The third time I tried them I got my in person order in after they took a pause in orders again. I waited patiently like everyone else. There was a line out the door at one point. When I finally got my order and got a chance to eat it, I find that even though I made the ext same order as the first time, it was not prepared the same way and while it tasted good, it wasn't as great as the way it was made the first time. Also disappointing. While I waited to receive my order another waiting customer made the similar comments. It's like they are victims of their own success and can't figure out how to consistently maintain the quality and the they can't adjust their staffing during peak demand to handle the rush. Wish they could figure this all out and deliver delicious fresh consistent quality per their menu.
Got the tri tip sandwich. The bread is great. Around $10 a sandwich which the portion size isn't bad at all. I would definitely go back and try something different. My husband ordered the turkey Reuben and I would like to try that one next. Waited for ten minutes and it was super busy at lunch. Not bad.
Found this mom & pop Italian Deli close to where I was in Walnut Creek. Wanted to eat a deli sandwich for lunch. Ordered the CA Club #5 on the menu. There was barely a line and the sandwich was made relatively quickly. Service was very good. This place reminded me of one of my childhood favorite Italian Deli’s in SSF, Little Lucca. The sandwich was good with fresh ingredients. Just wish I asked for some secret pesto spread. Cannot complain though and the cost was reasonable at $9.49, considering some places in Walnut Creek cost double this price. All in all, a good experience. They have small tables indoor and outdoor seating as well.
I am from Berkeley. Never been here before. Had gone to a meeting with a friend and stopped here for lunch. I got the #8 pastrami sandwich (pastrami is often the #8 on many menus) and was pleased at the generous portion of the sandwich. All too often you pay lots of money and the portion size is very small, but not here! They were very busy. The line was long but moved pretty quick so it is clear that they have a good system for making their sandwiches and making them right! If I come back to Walnut Creek I will for SuRE be coming back here!
I don't understand the hype. This was kinda like a Safeway sandwich. My favorite place is Michael's sourdough in san rafael and it's cheaper and 5x better. The meat and lettuce was kinda good but if you've had a great deli sandwich in ny or somewhere else you'll know this isn't great..
I've been to Morucci's several times before and always enjoyed the food, but my most recent visit (Tuesday, September 16th around 1 PM) was really disappointing. I found a piece of plastic in my sandwich. I tried calling the shop multiple times but no one answered, and I couldn't find an email to reach them. I really like this place and hope this was just a onetime mistake, but food safety and customer service are very important. I'd feel more comfortable returning if I knew this was being taken seriously. This is not okay if it didn't notice, i don't even want to think about what could've happened to me. i'm so disappointed, i love this place
This review is for the service. I waited in line for about 10 minutes to get to the ordering counter. Once at the front of the line, the staff member mentioned he was going on break. No issues with that. After about 15 minutes of waiting to place my order, the cashier yelled out "all new orders will take 35 to 40 minutes". Seemed like they had a big online order, they decided that was more important than the people who had already been waiting. They knew that order came in, made us wait 15 minutes before announcing it. Terrible customer service. This was August 27th around Noon
This was like someone took out a professional hit on a sammich. The top left of the menu does say what each sandwich comes with, and is then followed up by parenthesis stating that sprouts are an OPTIONAL addition. Which means one must ask for them. I very much DID NOT ask for cold soggy sweaty-gym-sock-smelling sprouts on a HOT REUBEN sammich. I promise I am not taking this personally because it’s my name. That combo is just FEH. I totally get someone could’ve just made an honest mistake one time, but this was my first impression/first time ordering after everyone in my neighborhood was chatting-up how great the sammies are. Maybe I’ll try again another time but right now I’m just irate. Prolly a bit hangry too.
