Peet's Coffee

Dayv helped me redesign my private blend that I have had at Pete's for decades. This had to be done because some of the beans in my five being blend we're not available. Wonderful heartfelt competent dedicated service!!

This Peet's is deceptively large (for Walnut Creek). Looking from the street it doesn't seem that big, but once you get inside, there's adequate seating. Beware that the restroom is outside and is unisex. The baristas are friendly and my drink order was perfect!

I love Peet's Coffee. There's such a variety of special coffees, like fine wines. There are also a variety of teas. They also have the usual mochas and other fancy drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Peets is much better then starbucks. Their black tie coconut is so yummy. I highly recommend peets to anyone who likes good coffee. Not that bitter garbage from starbucks

Quite street with trees, morning sunshine, afternoon shad and outdoor seating. On weekend mornings between 9 and 11 there's a local group of good musicians who played here.

This Pete's is great. There is a music jam session that performs outside Saturday mornings.

The coffee here is top notch and reasonably priced. On Saturday's, locals get together and have a morning music session. Very welcoming and friendly. A great place to meet people!

Although Covid has altered my daily routine, for years I would visit Peets every morning, grab a latte and scone, then then sit outside with Gustaf and talk with all of the other customers. I’ve even made some great friends this way. My dog certainly missed our daily visits so I will still bring him down in the afternoon for an iced latte. Dogs love anything you offer so he’s happy either way. If you come here, be sure Laura makes your drink. She is the best!

I always like Peet’s but have never written a review until now. I came into the shop to order drinks for myself and my friends, 5 drinks total. I also had my 3 month old infant with me and was trying to figure out the logistics of getting my baby and order back in my car. The atmosphere was great, everything was clean, and your staff were all friendly and professional. But your barista, Char, went above and beyond, was conscientious and kind when Char took my order, asked if I was taking my order to my car, placed the drinks in carriers for me, and helped me to my car without me asking. She was so kind and helpful and helped me far beyond what she needed to or that I had the courage to ask. She is a gem and I’ll be telling others about this specific Peets location because of her kindness and thoughtfulness.

I'm not a Pete's coffee drinker (to strong for me!) But the times I have been here the baristas are friendly and know alot of the regulars that do come here. My reason for coming to Pete's is Saturday mornings there is a group of musicians that come to play music. They draw quite a crowd and people look forward to, I know I do, seeing them. Where else can you run across a group of people doing what they love to do. Music!! This makes the experience even better.

Always happy to have Peet’s coffee. My cappuccino was delicious. Only felt annoyed that we were waiting a long time not realizing that the coffee was left on the counter for us. Still very sweet staff prices are much better than the competition.

Peet's feels like coffee home. It smells of freshly ground coffee and he atmosphere is light with a comfortable crowd. Staff is pleasant and helpful. I don't know about peet's in other locations but peet's W/C is quaint. Affordable,nice pastries and the waffle chicken sandwich is goooooooddd!....Love the ice tea shakers and the caramel latte frappe is my fave:-)

Everyone and everything is wonderful here. They even had Gourmet Ghetto food from home base Berkeley! Not at any other Alameda south County stores including the 3 in small San Ramon. Wonderful. Tried the salad layered cups (large plastic). And the chia pudding along with a qualitative protein box and another for my associate cheese and fruit and smoked almonds. Maybe copying $-bux, but long needed other food options besides sugar ridden pastry. This place has been here for almost two decades and in need of a bleach scrubbing to get rid of the fingernail grime like an older cafe. Best loose leaf (mighty L), and better roasts including Giants roast. White tea is like Snow White's cuppa with a Leopard in the snow. Many other and will surpass since Tea-Ivanna is closing just next year. Try the smoky Russian Caravan, its back! Busy place

This is my local Peet's and I want to rate them high, but every time I go, it's very slow. Also there is a lot of wear and tear at this location. The front entrance stone tile is taped together as an example. When it comes to rating franchises, it's all about the service and less about the product since that's the same everywhere.

Dec. 2023 Still understaffed, slow service like molasses in the winter! There were 3 people ahead of me and it took 20 minutes before my order was taken. 5 years ago... Locust Street location has very long waits in the mornings! You could drive to the Encina location and get that beverage faster if you're headed in that direction? Peet's needs more staff at their locations and more locations!

The coffee and food options are typical, and there is generally ample seating inside and out. The bathroom is deplorable, so if you need the restroom, I recommend you use the restroom at the Starbucks on the corner or the nearby Capital One Cafe (which also serves Peet's)

This Place has been here for YEARS, and still same size, same condiments, the place is ALWAYS crowded , & not always the nicest people either. Its gives off a internet Cafe vibe. Rich old men reading men papers watch all the Hot Young MoM"s . the coffee ? It wasn't Starbucks!!

A nice location that offers the basic amenities. The time I visited there were two people working the registers but only one barista, which made the wait quite long. Coffee is good though!

This isn't my usual location, and the coffee tastes different than my usual order (which sees consistency over the 3 regular shops I visit). It's not unpalatable, but I did not enjoy it as much. More unfortunately, they forgot a food item in my order, then when reminded, asked me what I'd ordered, then did not heat it up as per my order. This was after a bit of a wait, too, which is understandable given the order frequency, but it was frustrating nonetheless. That said, the employee who took my order was very kind.

Disappointed. I feel that if the Barista doesn t know how to make the drink I requested, they should let me know. I ordered 2 honey cortado's and received 2 ... cups with honey in the bottom, a single shot of espresso (it's supposed to be 2 shots), and foamy milk. Just a waste of money.

Came here for a quick coffee while waiting for a meal reservation and was appalled by how filthy it was. Maybe it was the clientele but it seemed like nobody had cleaned all day.

It's definitely not as hot or as good a cup of coffee. I have sought out other Peet's locations for my morning brew because of it.

The Berkeley location I usually go to, is better. They pour you the coffee as you pay for it. No need to wait 7 minutes at the end of the bar. To top it off, the guy who ordered behind me got his drink ahead of me. 🤔 2 stars for the coffee being hot.

Matcha latte had chunks in it. I've never experienced this before at a cafe that sells matcha lattes.

Please put somebody at the cash register who knows what they're doing. Actually, I will likely not be going here again. The girl this morning messed up my order three time, and I still received my drink wrong almost a half hour later (hot chocolate!), and they had to remake it. So then you get a drink that hasn't been made in the way/with their care a Peets typically would. And they didn't give me my pastry I'd ordered and paid for. And the shop sees this as ok. Go somewhere else. Such a waste of a beautiful morning. My drink was large, and it wasn't even filled.
