Went for breakfast at the ship. Really nicely presented pub with pleasant helpful staff. I tried "smokey Joe's" sauté potatoes with smoked garlic sausage, peppered bacon, eggs, chipotle, tomato, pepper. I was going to have the full English breakfast, but fancied something different so threw caution to wind and had a dabble. I'm glad I did as the sauté potatoes were lovely and the bacon was bang on! Just a wee bit spicy but nothing crazy, I mean it is breakfast 🙂 It was quite filling too. I'm glad we tried the Ship inn. It was fab way to start the day.

A lovely spot. Very popular so you would need to book if planning on eating. This was a bike ride away from a few campsites in the area. Great local beers.

This review is for the restaurant only as we were non-residents. This is the second time we’ve eaten at The Ship at Weybourne and on both occasions, we’ve had a great meal and excellent service. Tip: be sure to book as the restaurant is extremely popular at peak time. Also, be patient and have a drink in the bar if your table is not ready at your booked time. The slight wait will be worth it. We ate on a Friday evening at the beginning of September. We’d booked for 19h45 and we had a 5-minute wait while our table was being set. No problem, we were guided to our table and seated by one of the friendly, efficient and very busy hostesses. The pub has a festive atmosphere. It also has a dog-friendly section which we purposely avoided. Food quality and portion sizes are excellent and are served on colourful plates (see the photos which don’t really do the food justice). We shared two starter portions of whitebait for a starter which was plenty for three. For mains, my wife had the chicken skewers which were tasty and tender. Our friend had the delicious special which was herb and parmesan crusted salmon. I had the duck breast which was perfectly cooked and served with with tasty croquettes. Sides are included with all menu choices, but extras are available. All the food being served to other diners looked great. For dessert we all had different flavours of local Norfolk ice cream which was super. Overall value is very good. This restaurant deserves to be as popular as it clearly is. 5-stars all round.

Fabulous bed, breakfast and dinner at The Ship Inn. Room decor was phenomenal, mod cons, cleanliness and experience throughout. The King Suite was well worth the money! Breakfast was also superb - thank you Lauren. Also returned for dinner to sample the evening vibe which was just as great.

Sensational Food! A fabulous choice of cocktails, wines & draught ales/beers & lagers! I’m known for being picky & fussy…. The Ship Inn as for sure if highly recommend! Whether you’re stopping for a tasty liquid refreshment (as we did a few times), or to stay longer and enjoy the gorgeous choice menu choices…. This is THE PLACE to visit. And best of all, it was dog friendly 🐾🐾🐕‍🦺🐾🐾🐕‍🦺

Popped into in for lunch on spec. Welcoming staff and plenty of them. Quick service. Had a lovely lamb curry with all the trimmings, partner had beef burger, and we shared a HUGE pot of tea.

Came here for a drink with our dog a couple of times. There was a wake going on the first time but we were able to sit outside watching the world go by. The second time we decided to have a snack. We shared a crab roll which was excellent and reasonably priced. The beer was in good condition and the service was very good, with tables cleared promptly. A fine traditional pub.

What a lovely place with a friendly welcome. We stayed for a few days to audit family nearby. The room was great, well appointed. Everything was supplied toiletries, even q-tips and cotton face wipes. A make up mirror too. If needed they will supply a small fridge box, even ice for your ice bucket! We had a lovely home cooked breakfast on both days. The breakfast menu has lots to offer. The evening menu was full of choice including specials. We had a beautiful lobster salad. At a very reasonable price too. Some where to go back to for a further stay and to recommend.

The Ship was a lovely little pub in a very picturesque village. There was a good sized car park and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the portions were more than ample. It's advisable to book in advance during peak season. We would definitely visit again

Felt silly all of us ordering fish n chips but it was fantastic. One had the lamb which was equally great. Happy end to our holiday, thank you

What a find! Stayed for three nights' B&B this Easter. The Ship provides a warm, welcoming environment that's exceedingly clean and beautifully presented. The owners and staff are absolutely great and work as a very solid team, which is reflected in the friendly atmosphere. Our room looked exactly like the promo shots, it was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, with thoughtful facilities. The comfortable king-size bed and pillows (a combo of medium- and soft-weight) came with good quality linen and duvet. The walk-in shower was great, the basin a good size (not one of those annoying ones you have to mop-up round after use!), and the perfect number of good quality fluffy towels were supplied. The room was quiet and, together with the blackout curtains, made for three great nights' sleep. Breakfasts were excellent, and generous. Even the tea was good too (very rare)! After eating in the restaurant on night #1 we decided to do the same for the following two evenings. We did a pretty good tour of the menu and it was almost perfect, the service was certainly perfect. Although very busy and fully booked, B&B guests get preferential booking in the restaurant, but of course you do have to book ahead. The garden is quiet, well equipped with tables and beautifully planted. This is a long review, I didn't want to miss anything(!) and know from experience how difficult it can be to find a good place where you'll feel gives good value for your hard-earned money. The Ship at Weybourne is a VERY good place, we will definitely stay there again.

We stayed nearby but ate here. The food is amazing. The crab salad and Mediterranean chicken were second to none. Hubby had the curry and the fish and chips would have fed a family! Couldn't recommend it more.

What isn't there to like. Our room was gorgeous, nicely decorated, clean and had all the facilities required. The staff are so lovely, welcoming and very attentive. The food is amazing. We had breakfast included and every morning it was fantastic and the evening meals with a vast array of dishes to suit all tastes is exceptional. Compliments to the kitchen staff. Our room was cleaned and bed made daily and stocked with coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletry requirements. Thank you to the cleaner. It was my Husband's 60th birthday during our stay and he got a card and balloon from the staff. What a lovely thing to do - so nice. Overall, I would highly recommend The Ship Inn and we will definitely be visiting again.

We had a wonderful two night stay at The Ship Inn. The room was very nice, clean and modern with first class bed, bedding and towels. There was a great shower with shampoo and hand wash provided. An excellent Simplehuman light up mirror and a really good coffee maker. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, beautifully cooked. We ate in the restaurant both evening and the food was lovely. My husband has a medical condition which means he can’t eat large meals and the staff were accommodating, which is always a relief. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Many thanks to the manager and all staff concerned, they work very hard to make everything perfect.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here! Just quality from start to finish. Great food and drinks, portions that make your eyes bulge and friendly service. Excellent. We were not staying at the Ship Inn.

A nice weekend get away. Nice outdoor garden with comfortable pods still in place. I loved the food. For starters, I had fresh crab and avocado. To follow, sweet chilli and lime salmon skewers. Beautifully cooked. I would recommend The Ship Inn for a North Norfolk break.

Splendid pub with great service and surprisingly diverse menu. Half lobster with sides for £21 is a bargain in my book. Great Caesar salad. Large array of beers including Wherry and Moongazer. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Tiny car park so be prepared! I'll be back.

Family meal was superb. Friendly staff. Lemon and lime salmon skewers with Thai rice was excellent: kids fish and chips also very good. All locally sourced too.

Delightful early evening meal, despite not having a reservation. Such a friendly place with fogs even more so. A pleasure eating in the bar area surrounded by well behaved people and animals. Any establishment serving Leffe blonde on tap must be good. My nachos with pulled pork went down a treat and my wife almost finished her double classic burger. Thanks for fitting us in,

Popped in here for an unplanned evening meal on Friday at about 6pm. Although still early evening, the bar area was very busy and all tables in the restaurant were reserved. However, very pleasant front of house staff organised a table for us but on the promise we had to vacate it in 75 mins. Great variety of dishes on the menu. We had a crab mornay salad and a burger, which were both well cooked and good value for money. All members of staff were very friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit but might be best to book in advance.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this truly excellent pub. Our room (room 1) was spacious, warm, quiet and really well appointed, with a luxurious king sized bed and bedding, compact but well designed en-suite and a smart tv. It was also spotlessly clean - as was the rest of the pub. Our Sunday lunch was about as good as we have had anywhere, breakfasts ( chosen from an unusually wide menu) were cooked to order and our evening dinners were again of the highest quality - all featured local meats, fish and produce. A very special mention must also be made of the young and extremely friendly staff who made every effort to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you, we did and we shall return! Oh, by the way, if you are staying here and want to see more of the coast between Cromer and Wells Next the Sea, leave the car in the car park and jump on the hourly Coast Hopper bus service (CH1) which picks up and drops off right beside The Ship.

We stopped at the Ship Inn for breakfast en route home from a break in Norfolk. We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful meal which we felt was reasonably priced. The service was excellent with staff friendly helpful and very efficient. One of the nicest breakfasts my husband and I have had and would highly recommend. This is the second time we have visited the Ship Inn and both times we were thoroughly impressed.

What a lovely pub, and what amazing service and food! We were very well looked after for our anniversary lunch: an imaginative and well-cooked menu coupled with friendly attentive service, and all in the lovely surroundings of Weybourne. What’s not to love? We shall be back!

Had two great meals here over the course of our stay in Weybourne. Lovely pub with a wide selection of local ales and a excellent menu to suit all tastes . The owner (Lyndon) and all his staff went that extra mile in making sure we had a great time whilst dining /drinking there . If you're in the North Norfolk area then be sure to give this establishment a visit ... 5*

We popped in for a light lunch before a walk along the fabulous pebble beach. Immediately we were welcomed and given a choice of available tables. The service was friendly and efficient and the decor is really nice. We had a lovely ham sandwich and from what we could see, the larger plates of food were epic! We'll definitely come back when in the area.

SIMPLY EXCELLENT!!! The food we had here for dinner on our stay was beyond brilliant! The Staff were super helpful and friendly too. Everything on the menu is home-made and you can really tell it. All the ingredients that are used are local produce where they are able to (including the meat and fish) and the portion sizes are the best I have had from a pub dinner. Its so rare that I leave an establishment like this feeling full and that I haven't been ripped off, but this place was the complete opposite. Absolutely the place to dine if you're staying in the area. 5 stars

We (Mr Alan Mrs Corinne Eaton) spent 3 nights at this amazing place to celebrate our 1st anniversary. From checking in till checking out we were made to feel very special and welcome by everyone. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like royalty. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and so very functional. The village of Weybourne has a lovely quiet beach that’s within 10 minutes walk from the accommodation. The food is just absolutely quality, thanks to Stu and and the kitchen crew. The bar and restaurant staff are all so wonderful too, Lucy, you are a true asset! We feel we have gained some new friends. Lyndon and Ben: you guys can be very proud of this wonderful place! We will definitely come back many more times!

From the second I came I felt welcomed. The restaurant and rooms are cozy, and the food is the freshest I’ve had in the area. Also just a 5 minute walk from Weybourne beach. A must visit if you’re in Norfolk!

Good food and good atmosphere. Background music wasn't too loud and everyone was friendly. Glad we were a 4, we wouldn't have been able to finish the nachos sharer between 2! Don't be put off by the price of the food, the portion sizes were generous! And a good selection of local ales too.

Didn't stay in rooms. Have not been to the pub for many years, we were pleasantly surprised, very clean n tidy, a good pointer are the toilets, pristine. Staff are very attentive n friendly. The food we had was excellent. Fish n chip baps are worth a try. We will most certainly be visiting again.

Dined here last night. Went as a 'walk in' with the family. Immediately made to feel welcome. The food was fantastic, as was the beer. My daughter has a dietary issue and the staff were very accommodating to ensure she was well catered for. Excellent value for money considering the quality of the food. Message for the owners, the staff you have are very good, courteous and attentive without being over bearing. Fully reccomend this place.

Welcoming and friendly. Good food. The fish chowder was rather bland and gritty but all other meals fine. Children's menu very comprehensive and well received

Called back in here on Monday evening to celebrate our little ones birthday whilst on holiday. The staff were welcoming, polite and exceptionally friendly and the service second to none. The quality and quantity of food was extremely good and the portions that big we had to bring some home. Had the bang bang prawns and scallops to start, then the belly port and ribs / wings combo for mains. I don't think the prices are too bad considering the quality and seem competitive in comparison to another new location in the village offering food. We would happily go back and will return next visit. Thanks very much, great experience 👍

Beef Burger is delicious, homemade Chips are to die for. Chocolate Brownie Dessert is one of the best we have had in a very long time. I Would love to see Onion Rings added to the burger like most restaurants in the area If I was being ultra picky and QR codes to scan at the table to order more food & drinks.

Lovely food and beautiful pub. Service was good but waiters were pushy and acted like we were the last customers of the day.

What a fabulous little pub/b&b situated in the heart of Weybourne. The food is fabulous and the service is really rather good. There's also a bus stop right outside, if you're travelling from Sheringham, and another one just over the road if you're travelling from Wells. Buses operate on a Sunday too and the local company is Sanders. If you're going to eat or drink at The Ship it's just a £3 fare. The pub is very clean and has an amazing reputation locally.

Lovely lunch after walking to Weybourne from Sheringham. Dog friendly. Great service. Food was delicious. We had fish baps, sausage bap and loaded nachos. All fab with good size portions. Would go again. Didn't stay so can't rate the rooms.

Hmm not been here for years found as a pub in Norfolk average with overpriced drinks and 40 quid for surf and turf 6 oz steak and half small lobster 🦞 make ya own mind up

The Ship Inn is a nice place for lunch. The pub area is lovely and the service is very friendly. Our food was good, I was very impressed with the selection of salad and its size/freshness, it was tasty and crunchy. So many places skimp on salad portions, I love salad it’s often my favourite thing on my plate! The lobster was OK, the chips were tasty. My husband loved the fact he could have ribs (no sauce), wings and chips - he gave me his slaw. The walk from Sheringham was easy, our beers were cold, our walk back was a little more challenging with such full tummies. We’ll definitely go for lunch again, there’s a decent selection of non-meat dishes for me and loads of meaty things for my husband.

Staff/manager unhelpful and quite rude to my party and other customers. Telling people standing at the bar to "move" not saying excuse me or anything. Food is very overpriced for the portion sizes.

L
L Lakin

Hugely disappointing evening. Slow and disinterested service. Couldn't get the waiting staff to look at us and had to keep getting up to order drinks at the bar. The food was also bad. Three of us ordered fish and chips and it was almost completely tasteless batter, tasteless mushy peas and chewy fish. Not fresh. Rubbish.

I
Ian Wallace

We were staying in the village and had phoned in about dinner and were told there were only and very few, walk in tables. So we walked in, early and asked if we could see a menu. The member of staff was abrupt to the point of rudeness. They were full! I said innocently I had phoned and been told there were tables kept for walk ins she said they we full. I said we were thinking of coming back later. But no no help. I should say I had tried to phone two days earlier, repeatedly and at various times, no answer and when I arrived and went in, again they had no availability. I wouldn't go if I was you - they don't want your trade. Actually I don't think they like strangers.

R
Ruby Elliott

came to the restaurant after looking at the reviews, didn’t book a table but there was many open. went to order drinks and staff rudely responded and rolled her eyes. when we asked if there were any free tables she said she’d ask the kitchen, gave us nowhere to sit so we sat outside on a table waiting. after a good 20 minutes being there there was no table service, nothing at all. i would’ve rather they told us there wasn’t instead of keeping us waiting. we ended up leaving, very dissapointing. rude staff, bad service! gone over to the maltings and it was lush. go to the ship inn if you want sassy staff and and like leaving with an empty stomach.
