Nuovo Restaurant

Thanks to Live To Eat Food for the reminder to visit Nuovo Restaurant in Worcester. I hadn’t been back since around the time they opened—10+ years ago—& let me say, they did not disappoint. We arrived around 6 PM, & the place was buzzing with at least three Christmas parties going on, so we grabbed seats at the bar. We started with some excellent martinis, then moved on to appetizers (after the bread, of course). We had the fig–mascarpone stuffed phyllo dough & the best chicken lemon orzo soup—truly unmatched anywhere else in the city. For entrées, he had the lobster pappardelle special, & I went with pasta in vodka sauce with meatballs. We were completely stuffed but still couldn’t resist ordering the blueberry-crumble cheesecake to go. Despite how busy they were, the service was great, & everything we had was spot-on.

I went there with a friend the other night in a Saturday - it was our first time. I usually go to Via's across the street, so I had high hopes. When I got there it was pretty packed. The food was great, the wine was great, the service was great. The only thing I would change are the single stall bathrooms :/

Our first visit, and definitely won't be our last. Excellent food and service. The atmosphere loses 1 star only due to the loudness once the place fills up. That is also a testament to how good of a following of customers they have.

We had a great dinner at Nuovo the other night. The service was quick and on top of everything. The atmosphere is nice, perfect for family gatherings or date nights. The food was great!

This was our first visit to Nuovo on Shrewsbury St. First, I want to apologize for not getting pictures before we took a few bites. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Milanese (chicken, sausage, roasted red peppers), and my husband got the Pasta Polpette (meatballs and pasta). Caesar salads were very tasty as well. For dessert, he got the blueberry crisp, and I got the molten chocolate cake. Service was wonderful. The restaurant atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and clean.

I’ll just say this was a perfect experience! My partner and I came to celebrate our first anniversary together and I’ve been blown away by amazing service and food! Our server Matt was awesome and very accommodating! We started with the most delicious Bruschetta and Dijon Mussels! My Cioppino was incredible and to end a wonderful meal we got the Exotic Bomba! The restaurant even sent us complimentary champagne so we could toast! Thank you Nuovo for an amazing experience, we shall be back!

Had the honor of work in this amazing restaurant for 2 different events and the food and service is top notch; had the pleasure to meet with the owner as well; amazing person; highly recommend Nuovo Restaurant to everyone and so far my 2 favorite plates are the fries Calamaris and the Meat Lasagna.!

Food and staff are amazing! Great drinks from the bar too! Family owned and operated makes it even more excellent. They have an awesome event space upstairs as well. We're having our wedding reception there in June and couldn't be happier with the service Loretta has giving us thus far.

Second time there, food again was spot on...1/2 rack of lamb and mushroom risotto cooked to perfection! All staff very pleasant. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Only suggestion would be that the Brie appetizer should be permanently on the menu, not just a special!!

My focus at this joint was my undying need to consume carbonara. If you enjoy the traditional carbonara, this is the place to order from. The simplicity of the dish is what makes it great, minimal ingredients, but very flavorful. I researched for the best pasta that followed closest to those traditions and landed on Nuovo restaurant and it did get the job done. So much, I went another time, before leaving town. This will now be my go-to Carbonara spot. I didn't dine in but from what I can tell, it isn't necessarily the biggest restaurant but it's in a decent sized place. The decor is slightly fancier, and a little intimate. There is parking offered but not large. The staff are kind, and the order timing here is pretty good, I've never had to wait, and everything is piping hot, I'm sure their other dishes are just as good, but Carbonara is my absolute favorite. next time I am in town, I will try something new.
