The wife wanted a quiet place for our Friday evening meal. We had been meaning to try Bob's and this seemed like a good time. Not too crowded, Friday is one of only three nights they stay open evenings, and definitely quiet. We were seated quickly and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The wife had a cup of clam chowder, and a gyro with chips and cottage cheese. The sandwich almost filled the plate. I went for their Friday special, the prime rib. Nicely prepared it came with a generous portion of au jus and a full size baked potato. Unfortunately that left little room for dessert. Maybe next time.

Looking for a place to eat on a Monday, discovered Bob's Diner. As soon as we walked in I was impressed with the attention from the staff and their help getting two elderly guests comfortably seated in the midst of their lunch hour rush. . Prices were great, food was delicious and it came very quickly. But the staffs takes the prize, checked in with us at least six times while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. Upbeat having fun. We will be back!

Awesome breakfast, great coffee pancakes ( just the way I love them) and THE best home fry potatoes. The place is very clean and my waitress was very friendly and responsive. I only went there because I had an early appointment with DMV and I was very hungry and the diner was right next door. I was very pleased and I will be a repeat customer on a regular basis.

My partner and I come here for brunch fairly often. The prices are super reasonable, the food is always good, and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive. My only “complaint” is that I wish they were open later! :)

The staff is always friendly, quick, and I've never had a cup of coffee make it to lower than half full, no matter how quickly I drink it. Highly recommend!

It was the best decision made to visit. They practice social distancing, the service was truly amazing, and the food, was" OFF THE CHAIN".. EVERYTHING, the hot chocolate with whipped cream, steak, eggs cooked to your exact specification, pancakes were moist and crisp don't ask me how the chef did that one, but it was great. Listen just visit and have the most amazing breakfast ever. We were planning on heading back with the children this morning 11/15/20, but plans changed and we had to head back to Brooklyn last night due to a family emergency. To the chef and staff of Bob's Diner, Henrietta NY.. I wish I could give you guys more than 5 STARS, it definitely worth it. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful start of our day, we will definitely visit again.

Packed out when we were here! This Bob must do a solid breakfast, we thought, and so he did. It was also a holiday weekend, and the staff while obviously working hard, did not strike me as worn thin. Food was good, recommend the omelets, and parking was convenient.

Bob's Diner has always been amazing place to catch up with friends/family or just relax with good food and service. Thos restaurant has been up and running since I was a little girl (that's a looong time LOL). It will always be my go-to!

We enjoyed our Greek omelette, side of bacon and cinnamon toast, Belgian waffle, and a great Philly cheesesteak breakfast sandwich for about $40. Kind and attentive staff, and a nice atmosphere!!

I knew they had good burgers, but holy smokes the bacon cheeseburger was aaamazing today! They're open 8am to 2pm daily so get there before they close, it's so worth it!

My family has come here for years. The food is fantastic, the servers are amazingly friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. We get breakfast 95% of the time, but they serve lunch too. My only suggestion would be for the ladies' bathroom to be improved.

Delicious and inexpensive breakfast and even on a packed Saturday morning no more than a few minute wait, and no matter what food is always out in less than 10min!

This is a great place for lunch, make sure you get there before 2, they close for the afternoon! I had a BLT with fries and Mac salad and it was great. We went during the week and the service was quick and friendly, we were in and out with plenty of time to get back to work during our lunch hour. We plan on visiting them again very soon!

Solid diner with quick service and good food. If you're looking for all your favorite diner foods (all day breakfast, club sammies) you've come to the right place! The staff is friendly and attentive, even on busy weekend days they get you in and out without making you feel rushed. Good cheesy omelets, eggs cooked the way you ask, and fresh hot coffee as often as you'd like - what more is there to ask for? Place is clean despite the foot traffic, if a little dated.

Bob's is a traditional American diner. The food is not fancy, but is well-prepared are tasty. I visit here at least a couple of times per month with family and/or friends. The service is always good and the meals are served quickly. I especially like the breakfast and the Greek salad. They are only open until 2pm.

My cousin and I are making our rounds to all the diners in the greater Rochester area and I decided to start leaving reviews when I really like one. The server was so friendly, the conversations around the restaurant were pleasant, and the bathroom was nice & clean. The food was pretty much perfect. I had a corned beef hash omelette with hashbrowns which were crispy and delicious! My cousin had 2 eggs over medium with hashbrowns and bacon. All cooked perfectly. A great experience.

Bob's Diner is the best breakfast in town with the #1 hostess in Henrietta, Barbara! Her cheerful and friendly manner make you feel instantly welcome. The servers are all fantastic st Bob's and have your meal out in minutes.

This review is for out of towners since the locals must know this place. Spent a few days in Rochester and on our way home we found this diner minutes off the main highway. It's tucked into a corner of strip stores in a shopping plaza. We were seated right away as it was around 11:30 am. Coffees were the first thing as we browsed the menu. The menu had many choices and we settled on omelettes, a veggie with cheese and a sausage with cheese with home fries. I got a kick out of the cheese listed on the menu as "two slices" extra. Our food came out quickly and was excellent. Coffees were refilled without us asking (always a plus). Our server was really personable and it looked like that was the way they all were. Our bill averaged $12:00 per person without tip. The place is clean but the only drawback at this posting was the Plaza parking lot was full of pot holes. My impression was the property owner hasn't kept up with it. All in all its worth the stop.

Great food and amazing service. I love the price points. Food is great, but sometimes lacks consistency (as I go here often). Sometimes undercooked and sometimes done perfectly. The only real complaint would be that it’s VERY awkward going to eat here if you are not-white. Everyone will stare at you and it’s hard to eat peacefully because no privacy between tables.

Loved the service just enough attention to have full coffee mugs but not enough that we couldn't talk. Perfect! Food was alright. Portions felt a little light but these are harder times for everyone and they need to make money too.

Outside of a snarly girl at the counter when we walked in, nice place with good staff all around. Breakfast was good, service was prompt and friendly. Hardly had a chance to finish my coffee. Our server was always ready to top it off.

This was my first visit to Bob's Diner. My husband had a Fritatta, and I had a bacon and cheese omelet. Probably not the best presentation for the omelet but it tasted great and no complaints on the Frittata. I'm sure we'll visit again soon.

Asked for well done home fries & would wait so thy could be cooked on the flattop. What did they do they put them in the fryer… if I wanted fried potatoes I would have gone to another fast food drive through place…over easy eggs was swimming in butter or oil on the plate. Had to use all my napkins to soak that up.

This is a diner that i think my grandparents would have preferred. Outdated atmosphere, tiny place. Ive only been here once so my review doesnt have too much behind it but my server absolutely sucked. And it takes a really bad experience for me to say that. She had a bad attitude and was very short with me. But, it gets 3 stars because the food was acceptable. It wasnt great but it was alright. What i would expect from a place called "Bob's Diner" and located in Henrietta.

Corn beef hash. It's one of my favorites... was just okay. Medium size portion but good enough for breakfast. Good portion home fries, egg sandwich was okay, nothing bad. The place was about half full, moderate, and made it easy to have a conversation. The service was excellent! It's what I look for today since before covid, and then it just got worse... this is a good place. We will go back

Wait wait wait, Make sure you read this part! I give this place a three because the food is low but the portions are high and the prices are decent. This place has been around forever and is a staple of many families and elderly couples Sunday afternoons after church, but you can definitely tell they've had to reduce the quality of the ingredients to stick around. This is the kind of place you take a family of five kids out to get some decently priced filler food. It is far from top of the line, a lot of the food seem to come from frozen. But it was a good price, family of three for about $40 with tip. I got to admit it did lose some points for having the most watered down diner coffee I've ever had. But take it as you will.

Food was good food came out quick waitress was in such a hurry I noticed all the front booths near the front near the kitchen was empty I asked for one of those boots because I was by myself she said they were closed no one could sit there so as I said here and watch those front booths I noticed that they had their favorites they got to go up there and set. Good place to eat but you you were not and every day local which I’m from North Carolina I am a business owner first time here but you could tell that these people were their favorites by the way that they joked and picked and cut up with them very disappointed

Food has been always pretty good, as we frequent this diner a few times a month. One day we went in and the waitress was miserable, rude, short and there is no excuse for this type of behavior! Yes, i did write a letter to the owner with my phone number. I guess he could care less. We will now go to the Mount Hope Diner, which has better food, less expensive, and a staff that appreciates our business!

Been at Bob's a few times before and I was pleased. Last visit not so much. I ordered an egg white omelette that they charge extra for which l understand if they use extra eggs. What came out was an omelette for a toddler. I asked the waitress about it and she didn't seem to care. She also wasn't very friendly.Its almost not worth it to go out anymore. Everything is expensive and small portions.

So now I am being censored on Henrietta Highlights page so I will post it here: Just had the worst experience at Bob's Diner. The food was delicious, the waitress busy but expected on a Sunday morning. She hadn't gotten to our table to deliver the check but no big deal. Figured we would go to the register and wait so as to free up the table. The hostess was nasty and rude when she was advised we hadn't gotten the check. She stated, "you're not going to get it standing here. You need to go back and wait". I advised she didn't need to be rude with which she replied "Don't like service, you don't have to come back. We don't need your business". Now I understand why Steve's Original had a 45 minute wait. I will go to Steve's or Sunny's moving forward.

Ordered two burritos to go this morning, they said it would take about 30 minutes. When I get there to pick it up they said they didn’t have burritos so they gave me something completely different than what I asked for. I got an egg, cheese and bacon wrap. That was super cold, hard and dry. The lady said they didn’t have any burritos and I said I wish they told me that before when I ordered. The wraps didn’t even come with anything that was supposed to be on the burritos. Super dissapointed with the food. Probably the worst breakfast food i’ve ever tasted.

This has to be the absolute worst example of this generations poor work ethic that I have observed in years. I called Bobs restaurant at 1:35pm on a Sunday afternoon and talked to a girl seeking to order a to go order. She indicated that the restaurant stops taking orders at 1:45pm. I said, your hours state that you are open until 2pm? The employee said well if you can get to the restaurant by 1:45pm, we'll take your order. Again, I said then why are your hours of being open till 2pm? The employee hung up on me. I call back and said I can be at the restaurant in 10 minutes, which would be 1:50pm and the girl said we are closed by then. Again, I stated that the hours you are open is until 2pm? I asked to talk to a manager and the girl employee said my mother is the manager so she will say the same thing I am saying. I called a few more times to try to place and order but every time I called at 20 minutes before closing the phone was answered and hung up. I guess this Bobs restaurant condones incompetence. Regardless if this was the daughter of the owner I spoke to, I would fire her immediately based on this extremely poor customer service experience. I tried to call a few more times up until 2pm and I received a busy signal. This is a text book example of what NOT to do when dealing with customers. This is probably funny to the employee who treated me poorly but to me, its a going out of business strategy.

I went there for lunch for my birthday just a week or so ago. It was about ten degrees outside. The staff spilled a large glass of ice water all over me before I was even served my food. Needless to say I was very uncomfortable during my entire visit, but until I got home. When given the check, no discount was offered. I mentioned that this was surprising and poor customer service and was told not to come back if that’s how I felt.

This is the 3rd and last time we will go to this place. Last xperiences was beyond horrible. First experience was barely decent. First time it was mostly empty. The waitress ignored all customers except a single man who she heavily flirted with. Food was basic and ok. Nothing more. Second time, different waitress who was nice. Food again was basic and ok. Third time, they were a little busy but not too busy. Waited at least 40 minutes for our food after we ordered but never got it. After about 1/2 hour the waitress came by and told us we'd be getting our food right after 1 more table, and she pointed to the table. She then went and brought that table their food. We waited at least 5 more minutes for our BLT and chicken tenders kids meal. Nothing. That's when I decided we'd just pay for our drinks and go. We went over to the cash register and told the lady there we'd waited too long and wanted to just pay for our drinks and go somewhere else. She asked us to wait and then went over to speak to our waitress. The waitress said our food was up and she was just about to serve it to us. So we sat back down. But then it turned out the order was not even stated yet and we'd have to wait at least another 5 minutes. So basically we were lied to. I told them again we'd just like to pay for our drinks. The waitress started arguing with me because she thought 5 more minutes was not too long to wait. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her. I turned around and she said, "Merry Christmas" in a very nasty way to my back. The lady at the counter started ringing up our drinks but couldn't find the price of a soda on the menu and didn't know it off-hand. I asked to speak to the owner at this point because this was beyond ridiculous. She went over to our waitress who told her to comp the drinks. Thank you. Owner never appeared and when I asked again, I was told the waitress was the owner. Both the cashier and the waitress/ owner were laughing at us at this point. The cashier said to the people behind us cashing out, "I don't know what her problem was." While she continued to laugh. Rude, nasty, food's not even that great. Cleanliness is borderline. Skip this place. There are way too many other places in this area with good food and without attitude problems.

We came in on a Sunday at 2pm. Their closing time is at 3pm. The waitress was extremely pushy and came to our table a minimum of 15 times pushing us along to get out of there even though we were fast and simple customers with uncomplicated dishes that had no plans to be there long. All I ordered was a plain grilled cheese and I enjoyed no second of my time there because her arm was constantly in my face trying to take things off the table. She barely gave us time to look at our menus between the four times she tried to get us to order in the space of five minutes. As someone who worked in food service for over a decade and is informed considering this was completely unacceptable and rude behaviour. Further, the kitchen staff came out and sat at the bar glaring at us while we eat. It was so unprofessional and so disturbing to try and eat that way. Never going back.

I was a regular here with my boyfriend and I usually have a good experience but today was the opposite I got a cold plate of food after 30 minutes of waiting never got an apology or anything just "I'll take that off the bill"... The server wasn't nice like the one we usually received we really liked this place until today we were not taken care of with the hospitality the place usually lives up too. Sadly won't be spending money here again

Kelly has become rude and dismissive of her customers concerns. The food has lost its quality and it's clear they no longer value their customers at all. Sadly I will no longer pay this place to make anything. It's time they shut their doors for good.

My fiancé and I were in the mood to try a new diner in the area and so we stopped here. I ordered a steak and egg sandwich and it was the most greasy but somehow dry sandwich I’ve ever had. Food was almost all pre-packaged and nothing seemed to be house made. This is a real bummer because we love to support local. Prices were respectable though!

I visited Bob's diner and it reminded me of the Jim Crow era, though the waitress was quite friendly. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor and seemed like it had been frozen and simply reheated. The place felt very outdated, and the clientele was mostly older white people that stare at you.

I visited Bobs this morning for breakfast, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by poor customer service. A fellow customer approached my server with a concern about an individual who seemed suspicious, and instead of addressing the concern professionally, the server responded in a condescending and disdainful manner. She laughed off the customer's concern, implying that it was obviously an employee, and then proceeded to talk about the situation in a snide, loud manner after the customers had left. It was clear she felt above the situation, but her rude attitude and lack of respect for the other customer left a bad taste in my mouth. It's disappointing to see an employee behaving like this, especially in front of other guests. I won’t be returning to a place that allows this type of disrespectful behavior toward customers.

had one of the most disturbing experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant here. I walked in 30 minutes before closing just for a quick meal and was immediately met with rudeness. The waitress flat-out lied, saying the kitchen was closed, even though I’ve eaten here at the same time before with no issue. I called afterward to explain how unprofessional that was, and things only got worse. The young male host literally mocked me, repeating, “We don’t care, we don’t care, and the audacity you had to come 30 minutes before closing.” Then the waitress jumped on the phone, laughed, and proudly told me she was the owner’s daughter. She then snapped, “We have things to do, we have to clean, we don’t have time we're closing.” The arrogance and nastiness were shocking. Instead of apologizing, they doubled down on being disrespectful and made it clear they think customers are an inconvenience. If the owner’s own daughter behaves this way, it explains why the staff feels entitled to mock and dismiss paying guests. This was not just bad service — it was humiliating, condescending, and downright hostile. I would strongly warn anyone considering this diner: you are not welcome here, and they will make sure you feel it.

I usually go to highland park diner, but they were closed today due to it being the 3rd of July. I came here to Bob’s diner, and I wish I had went to IHOP instead. I ordered over medium eggs, and I received almost raw eggs. It was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. The server was also so disrespectful, I asked if the cooks could cut my sausage links in half and the server looked at me and straight up said, “Yeah they won’t do that, we are too busy”. Like excuse me? You can’t cut 3 little sausage links in half, it takes 2 seconds. I also politely asked her to take off my eggs from the check and she gave me a dirty look and laughed under her breath. Terrible service, terrible food. I do not recommend going here!
