Our food took much longer to come out than usual and when it did only two of the group had their food and everyone else had to wait for theirs despite us asking for everyone’s food to come out at the same time. After another five plus mins the rest of the food arrived. The steaks were provided but no steak knives and no member of staff came to see how the food was or if we needed anything else therefore we weren’t able to get anyone’s attention without leaving the table in order to ask for steak knives. We used butter knives to cut steaks for the first half of the meal!! Food was excellent though!!! Can’t fault the food just the customer service.

Had my nephews birthday meal here couldn’t fault it the family loved it the steak sandwich is definitely something different. Tender steak cooked to perfection and kids and family loved it definitely will be returning.

What a great restaurant! This is definitely a must if you live or are visiting Birmingham. The service was first class staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and we didn't feel rushed at all while we dined there. The steak was one of the best steaks we have ever had and the accompaniments were delicious. One hundred percent recommend this restaurant. If only they did a good mac and cheese & chocolate samosas with vanilla icecream

I came here a few days ago and I cannot wait to go back already! I ordered the prawns as starter, ribs and rib burger for mains and a pina colada. The prawns were a lovely size compared to so many other establishments I have been to. They were coated in a very tasty sauce. My only cristism if I were to give it was, it was a tad bit oily for my liking. Otherwise very nice. Now, the ribs. Absolutely amazing! Not a thing I could fault. I have travelled many places around the UK trying ribs and nothing has come close to the ribs I had here. Melt in the mouth with an amazing bbq spice kick! I would recommend the ribs or in burger form to everyone! Pina colada was also very delicious. Portion sizes are very generous. Worth every penny.

Been here a number of times. Staff are always very helpful. Always go for the Dexter filler Steak but now been told about the Steak Sandwich the taste was amazing with the truffle mayo.

From the moment you walk in until we left the service was just top class. Food and drinks were on top. Staff members looked after us well. Parking was easy nearby. They also have prayer room and family friendly with baby high chair available.

Amazing tomahawk steak cooking was too perfection with great service Furthermore, the chef’s special BBQ ribs were succulent and full of flavour absolutely delicious. Lamb lollipops were bang average though.

Went on a boys night out here. Great atmosphere and the staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The food was amazing. Ordered the Serloin dexter and was impressed. Asked for medium and that's exactly what we got. All 5 of us thoroughly impressed and enjoyed our meal. The mocktail was amazing. 2 of us tried the burger sliders as a starter and they were amazing! Highly recommend this place and will be returning again.

Atmosphere and service is great. The only drawback is the menu is slightly more expensive compared to other restaurant. But food quality is way better. You get what you paid for. Scanning qr for menu is kind of bit fuss for someone who need to download qrcodr app. Would highly recommend the fillet.

Really lovely, family friendly restaurant. Portion sizes are really good and everything is really delicious. Parking is a bit difficult, but I would give yourself plenty of time for travel and parking. It's definitely worth the effort. Staff were really kind and attentive. Mocktails were really yummy and good size as well.

Great food, atmosphere and service! Went during the week so assume a lot quieter then peak times, service was quick and professional, food (steak) was amazing (full of flavour!) And portion sizes were great compared to a lot of other places. Will be visiting again.

Great dining experience. I have been here many times and the quality of food and portion sizes never fail to disappoint. Polite, well mannered staff and a great familt friendly atmosphere. An all round great experience. Will be visiting again in the future.

I spent last night at the restaurant the service was amazing and food was very good as well. All the staff members were very professional. Definitely I’ll come back very soon.

The food dexter ribe eye cap was delicious and the taste was 10/10. The service was very fast and the staff were very kind and helpful Nazia was our server and she was amazing.

The steaks and the chops were cooked well but they were kind of tasteless. The chips were good on a plate but not the sizzler as they went slightly mushy. The portion sizes were too small for the price but the steaks looked good and the presentation was okay. The staff were really nice, friendly and better than most places. The atmosphere and cleanliness were good. We also ordered two burgers and they were really nice. Cooked well and the presentation was great. Would recommend the burgers over the steak. We brought a cake for a birthday but forgot candles, however, the waitress told us that it was okay and they had a sparkler that we could use. When it was time for the cake, our table was cleared and a few staff members brought the cake and sung which was really nice.

Our waitress was really lovely and helpful, The drinks were made well and looked amazing! The crispy chicken and prawns were tasty and nicely presented. Chicken steak was served with rice,veg and runny egg, the rice was quite bland. Overall the food is ok but i do think it is overpriced. We did have a good time and the atmosphere in there was really nice. I would recommend this place for a special occasion, my friends and i only went this week because of the eat in help out scheme.

I would give 3.5 Stars if google allowed me. The food is very good, I ordered a BBQ Ribs starter £7.99, a tomahawk Ribeye at £39.99 also a Dexter Beef Ribeye for £24.99 both cooked medium. I have dined at many steakhouses, the price at Kobe's is slightly higher than average however the food is cooked well and is flavourful, compliments to the good quality beef. The reason for the 3.5 Star is because on one of my sides, I found two strands of hair, Id recommend the chef's pay more attention to their headgear. I let the front of house know about this at the end of my meal, the side in question was inspected and the hairs identified. I did not make a fuss as the food was great and mishaps can happen, however I felt more consideration should have been given to us especially after spending over £70.00 for two.

Visited this establishment for the second time last night. My first visit was a few months ago with my wife & children. It was a very pleasant experience, so I decided to go again and take a friend with me. Have to admit, the food was better last night. I had the king prawns for starters & then Dexter sirloin. Both of these were really good! My friend - who had not been before - really enjoyed his meal also. He said he’d definitely visit again with his family. Their mocktails are really good… Great taste and they’re not stingy like some places are. Price is reasonable too which is a bonus. The seating arrangements is really good, there’s plenty of space as the tables aren’t all squashed together. Very comfortable seats. Really clean environment overall. Toilets are very well maintained and on both visits I found them to be spotless! My only criticism is that the waiting staff, although very polite young people, aren’t experienced. And management could do with investing a little more time training them.

My wife and I visited Kobe Sizzler and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The classic burger was incredibly juicy and succulent and really hit the nail on the head. I had previously been to Kobe’s and got the BBQ beef ribs which were to die for, however this time they were a little too spicy (which is saying a lot given that my wife and I have a pretty high threshold for spice). Nonetheless, the meat was extremely juicy and fell off the bone. The staff were attentive from the moment we walked in and made our visit extremely special. Can’t recommend Kobe enough and looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent food and great service experienced in this restaurant. The steak sizzler is a good portion and very tasty. Décor is very stylish and suitable for families. Prices are slightly higher than other places but was worth it.

T bone steak was not exactly to my liking. It was nice for the first few bites but man that thing turned solid pretty quick so I ate as much as I could and the rest went into the bin. I would like to give it another try to see if it was a one off but apart from that staff were very polite and service was good.

Place looks nice, staff are friendly. Food was OK, nothing special. However the mojitos were really good. One thing I couldn’t understand is why noodles would be served with steak? They wasn’t very tasty either. Steak was good, mine was cooked to perfection. Would be great if the sauce with steak came separately. Found a very long blonde hair on one of our plates and the restaurant replaced the meal straight away. Nice environment very clean and warm decor.

The food was okay, nothing standout but decent overall. Unfortunately, the atmosphere let the experience down. The host/manager hovered around our table and closely watched the staff the entire time, which made it feel uncomfortable and gave the impression he didn’t trust his team. One young girl who served us was friendly and smiled, but the rest of the staff looked visibly unhappy, which wasn’t surprising given the constant supervision. I also ordered a daiquiri, but what I received tasted like lemonade with syrup rather than an actual mocktail. Overall, because of the service and atmosphere, the vibe just wasn’t very welcoming.

starters were nice mains ok biscoff milkshake was absolutely terrible. staff was unprofessional they were eager to get us out we was really rushed despite the place was 60% empty they couldn't get rid of us quick enough, they kept interrupting us during the meal clearly while we was still trying to enjoy this mediocre meal.

We ordered two ribeye sizzlers and two Mexican colas. The portions were generous, but the food was just okay-somewhat bland. We arrived without a reservation on a Sunday at 7:30 pm and were seated quickly. The service was decent, nothing exceptional. Overall, it’s not a bad spot, but it’s not one I’d go out of my way to visit.

Visited Kobe with high expectation, however it failed miserably! Service was absolutely terrible from the manager himself! We order a lot of food and the steak my wife ordered was off. It had an off meat smell and tasted horrible. Called the staff to explain and she got the manager who was trying to tell us it was not bad. He did not offer an alternative until we kept saying we not eating the bad steak. He came back from the kitchen with the same steak and my wife had to tell him do you expect us to eat this? After you and the chef tried it. He changed his tone and offered an alternative afterwards. Also I asked if the steak was actually Kobe, they could not answer which is shocking considering you have a restaurant named Kobe and not knowing what it is! I ordered noodles with my steak never again worse combo anyone can offer. Only positive I can say is the area and restaurant did have a nice decor. They definitely need to work on the staff there, the food quality and menu option.

Trying to be something it's not. Prices reflect that of a premium steakhouse. Ambience location all great but the food was that of steak at any typical restaurant/pub. Not worth the premium price; over 100 quid for food alone for three of us. The distance between Moseley and Japan is about the same as the distance that the steak here has from Kobe quality.

I had booked a table for Valentines day, when we arrived we were told we could not be seated as they were too busy. I informed them that we had a booking, but they said that doesn't matter as they don't have any free tables. We then had to go around all the other local restaurants and beg for a table. Luckily we managed to eat somewhere else and received excellent customer service. Unfortunately the same certainly cannot be said of Kobe Sizzlers and their staff, on that evening their customer service was up there with the worst I have ever experienced. They could not care less that they could not seat us. I have since emailed the restaurant to inform them of how our experience went however they have not responded. Avoid Avoid Avoid!! Do not waste your hard earned money here!

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism from Kobe Sizzlers Birmingham. My family and I visited on February 15th (Table 14) and had an appalling experience. ​We waited over 70 minutes for our main courses. When they finally arrived, the premium cuts—a Dexter Sirloin (£30) and Dexter Rib Eye Cap (£35.95)—were improperly cooked and did not meet safe standards. ​I sent a formal complaint to their management on February 26th providing all receipts and details. As of today, I have had zero response. It is one thing to have a bad service night, but it is another to completely ignore a customer who spent nearly £140. I am still seeking a full refund and will be escalating this to Environmental Health and my bank if this continues to be ignored.

We booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day and arrived at 8:15pm, expecting to be seated for our 8:30pm booking. Instead, we were told by staff that seating was first come, first served, and our reservation essentially meant nothing. If that is the policy, then reservations should not be offered on the website at all. There were 3–4 other parties waiting with valid reservations, yet we were told by a waiter to “sort ourselves out” based on who arrived first. This is not the customer’s responsibility, and management was nowhere to be seen to handle the situation. To make matters worse, walk-in customers were seated immediately while those of us with reservations continued waiting. I informed staff that my wife is pregnant and had nowhere to sit while waiting. Despite this, no accommodation or concern was shown. The lack of empathy and basic customer service was extremely disappointing. After waiting 40 minutes, we were finally seated, only to be given conflicting information about food wait times—one staff member said 20–30 minutes, another said over an hour. After I had just finished a 12-hour shift and with my pregnant wife already exhausted, this was unacceptable. We eventually left, along with other customers who were equally frustrated. No manager acknowledged us, offered an explanation, or attempted to resolve the situation. Overall, this was a poorly managed evening with disorganised team staff, misleading reservations, and very poor customer service—especially on what is meant to be a special occasion.

Apart from the decoration being nice there isn’t much else to say. The manager was rude and not friendly at all. Before taking our order he told us food will take more than 45 mins ( food actually came out in 20 mins) as they was busy! This was not the case it was literally a family of 10 and a few other people there. He wasn’t helpful at all with the menu. Very disappointing. He’s put me off. I wouldn’t recommend this place! Even the waitress agreed with us. Management needs to either retire or learn some basic skills.

We went to dine on the 17th October 2024 at Kobe sizzler in Moseley B13 9EF Birmingham, to celebrate my daughter’s 13th Birthday. There were only 3 table seated and it was quiet night. My daughter was very excited to try lamb sizzler for the 1st time. And we all were looking forward to nice meal. Our bill was £85.70 and as per their suggestion we order/try it all. We ordered crispy chicken for starters, my husband ordered chicken sizzlers with schewan sauce, my daughter ordered lamb sizzler with peppercorn sauce, I ordered grilled burger and from kids menu chicken goujon for my 5year old son. (This was simple meal order yet the waiter got missed and gave wrong order when served) 1st of all I couldn’t finish my meal it’s was something odd about meal and I said to my family I can’t eat so left 3/4 of my burger. My husband ate all his food. My daughter left half as it was big meal for her as sizzler is a big size. My son only ate few bites and went to sleep. The next morning my family was feeling dull and as day went passed we were all ill my husband and my daughter are feeling super unwell. They both are feelings nausea, vomited twice, dizziness and had temperature. My husband had to return from work he was nauseating, chills and temperature kept going up. I was called from my daughter’s school to pick her up from school as she is dizzy and vomited at school. I feel dizzy and nauseous too thanks that I didn’t eat my food at restaurant. Also the ambulance had to be called as my family were sick. I had to raised a complaint letter to the restaurant on poor quality food service. We are very disappointed and concerned about our health at this point. All the symptoms that appearing were of FOOD POISONING. This has really spoiled our mood and sense of ourselves after the momentous day in our life. We have a family GP and he has advised the symptoms can last up to 7days. We were also holding a 13th birthday party tomorrow on Saturday the 19th of October but we had to postponed and cancel it. We didn’t hear back from the owner how they could help us or to discuss this situation. We are at disbelief that we came to nice restaurant to mark my daughter day but we were at complete shock and poor health condition. I have uploaded few pictures for your reference and for you to understand the how much food we had parcel it back and this morning it has all gone in bin Every guest should feel good and happy after a good meal at restaurant like yours but we almost packed all our food as I thought may be I could eat at home later in the night but I couldn’t. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED. As adult at a point we adjust to poor health but my daughter is sleeping and resting in her room whereas she should be enjoying her school and be excited about her party. Our complaint was not heard and I just wish we read the reviews here before dining. Also I did dine during Covid and had a good time then but it was horrible experience. I have rang the restaurant to discuss the matter but it only heard back from a lady who was denying that their food was wrong and till this day 28/10/24 I haven’t even received an apology from them.

Service was awful. Cutlery was dumped on our table, food took about 45 minutes to come. Missing items, that had to be bought out later. Waiter came to our table ask us to pay (like they were wanting us out quickly). When I questioned the service, the response was that ‘they were busy’ (only 4-5 tables were occupied while we were there). In any case being busy is not an excuse for being rude. I shall not be visiting them again.

The service and staff were extremely unpleasant and unfriendly. There one was particular staff member who had a low ponytail on today’s visit who was extremely rude and moody. She slammed our knifes and forks down with a lot of attitude and overall seemed like she didn’t want to be there. The food wasn’t the best and wasn’t how it used to be. It’s definitely gone down hill and there’s a lot more better restaurants out there which explains why this place is completely dead and not talked about! Please avoid as the food isn’t even worth the money and what you’re paying for!

Disappointed… we have been going to Kobe Sizzlers for many years but we were very disappointed with our last visit. It’s seems the management has changed hands. They don’t serve tap water, when asked why they said the water coming out the taps is dirty, so then we we asked how they wash veg and food in the kitchen the lady told us she didn’t know. To me it’s just a lame excuse for you to buy drinks, a tiny bottle of water for £3.50. Not only that, staff are very abrupt and rude. Food was okay, mash has changed, no longer tastes like fresh mash, more like the instant mash where you add hot water to. Sorry, won’t be returning here in a hurry.

I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews before deciding to ignore them and arrive at this place. Pros: - The decor is amazing. - The dynamite prawns (starter) were delicious. - Lamb chops (starters) tasted good Cons: - This was the worst steak I've ever had. It was extremely tasteless and had a funny smell. Both steaks ordered by me and my friend were of the same quality. We complained to the manager who, to his credit, took the meat back and allegedly tasted it with the chef, but denied it didn't taste normal. IF YOU WANT DECENT STEAK, AVOID GOING HERE. - The waiters weren't knowledgeable about the steak cuts and menu details. - Our serloin steak came with sauce, however the sauce didn't come separately (unlike other places), instead it was poured on to the sizzling plate by the chef (unhelpful if don't like too much peppercorns sauce). - The dynamite prawns came on a bed of coleslaw, which was just dry cabbage and carrots. - Overpriced £35 (per person) for a below par serloin steak, a starter and a drink. I would genuinely go to other steak places in Birmingham. - £8 for 3 tiny lamb chops. The chips were very few, but tasted the best on the plate. I was very disappointed and I did not want this steak. After speaking with management they said they would fix my steak though I was upset and offered couple of fizzy lemonades with added flavours and called them mojitos. And said they would sort the bill out. - I paid the full amount of the bill despite complaining to management - it appears from these reviews this is a common theme. I won't be returning or recommending them. - I feel very disappointed and let down I don't want you to be disappointed either. Don't go, stay away, and spend wisely.

Went here with family of 7 for a Birthday, the staff are extremely arrogant with attitude, we didnt want to sit near the entrance due to draft coming in everytime the door opened but were refused due to some social media video being made on the other side which was occupying more than half the restaurant, we ordered 4 lamb steaks which were severely over-cooked and impossible to cut, when we asked for 1 steak to be medium rare the Manager refused to cook to our preference and kept repeating it would be "kacha", we then ordered a burger and it cost £19.00, I feel this place is heavily over-priced and quality of food is low, the lamb steaks were not lamb they were mutton as I have had lamb many times and this was definitely not what we expected, full of fat and impossible to chew, I would never go back as over priced, no care and concern for customers, food is bland and extremely poor service

Not really impressed . The few chips I had were hard , steak was bland , plate was overfilled with rice which made. It hard to eat the steak . I was refused water which is always a bad sign . I didn’t want to pay £3.80 for a tin of green cola . There was really no service at all . Never going again .

Your order starters and they give you all the food same time. No space to put it And why ? A Starter should be first 10-15 min after main but not here Advance DO NOT have a starter Also the chips are fat and hard as a rock Cheese meat ball it shows it full of cheese & no just a bit on one side lol Staff need to be happy & friendly but not here Sad as it can do well with the right management & attitude hence it was not full on a Saturday

Been coming here for many years, i championed this place despite others telling be differently but after today experience, this might be the last time i ever go back. The steak was over cooked, had no flavour whatsoever. Some items had a weird taste. Not sure when they last changed their oil or cleaned grills or coolers in the back. It’s a shame cos the service isn’t bad and the location is decent. They also have a prayer room but this place is just not the same. Sorry but hopefully you guys sort this out
