When we entered into this nicely designed restaurant, it represented just the right ambience for a seafood restaurant. From the colors of the walls to the pictures of fishermen, lighting, wood elements and everything else, this restaurant was tastefully designed. The display of freshly caught fish, was just enough to let their customers know, that what they’re about to order will be well prepared, seasoned just right and beautifully presented. Job well done.
Absolutely faultless. Celebrating my wife's birthday, booked a table a few days before, got there a little early but they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled, smart and spacious. The service was spot on, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The lady with the Red hair, Kristela I think, was exceptional (Thank you for a wonderful evening). We decided to skip starters and side orders and just share 4 main courses. EVERY dish we ordered was gorgeous (sea bass, mackerel, monkfish and linguine). The wine was excellent (vinho Verde). The prices were all very reasonable considering how perfect the food and wine were. I will definitely be going again the future and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
Very delicious fish foods are available… we tested oyster and seabuss.. really it was very well and taste was nice.. seabuss was cooked very nicely and simply since so fresh it was delicious. The oyster served was good and fresh. The prices are little high however nice foods are served.
Exceptional fish in the heart of London. We had a dinner here after various recommendations and we did not regret coming here. The restaurant had an open kitchen, which always has an inviting atmosphere. The fish tastes fresh as well. We got a tuna carpaccio, shrimps and a mixed fish plate. It wasn’t that expensive and would definitely recommend the place if you like fish and want to have a refreshing experience. The staff was also friendly!
*Pictures are from 2 dinners. Repeated items were ordered therefore the repetition. I enjoyed the service, the atmosphere! Food was fresh and tasty, we especially enjoyed the desserts, espresso pannacotta served in a martini glass! The display looks like an espresso martini, creative. Bitterness of the coffee rounds well with the sweetness, the difference of texture makes the experience in my mouth delightful. Tofu and chicory salad also comes as a surprise. My vegetarian friend ordered this and it was light, subtle, a noticeable olive oil freshness, the delicacy of soft tofu and greens, pairs well with every dish! Every time we go we order a bottle of Gavi, perfects the entire night.
Fish Works is a culinary gem that offers an extraordinary dining experience for seafood lovers. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The decor is elegant yet inviting, with a touch of coastal charm that instantly makes you feel at home. The menu is a seafood lover's paradise, boasting an impressive selection of fresh, sustainably sourced options. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's expertise and passion for seafood cuisine. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the lobster bisque was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of creaminess and seasoning. One of the highlights of our visit was the grilled sea bass, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The accompanying sides were equally delightful, complementing the main dish without overpowering it. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, offering excellent pairings for every course. The service at Fish Works is impeccable. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing a top-notch dining experience. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal was perfect, from the food and drink recommendations to the timely service. Fish Works is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable seafood dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, this restaurant delivers on every front. Highly recommended! ---
We had a wonderful early dinner here before we went to a concert last Wednesday night. The cocktails were great and the seafood starters and mains tasted fresh. Shoutout to Kat who's service was outstanding and who even convinced us to have desert! Throughly reccomend this restaurant
The food was absolutely on point. Simple and fresh and delicious. The service was great and they even brought out a brownie with a candle in for my dad's birthday. We had oysters and whitebait as a starter and both were lovely. The specials board is definitely the best option to order. The only issue with the atmosphere was that it was quiet, but it was a Monday night....
Myself and my husband had a lovely dinner here last weekend as a treat. The food was delicious (scallops, chicken supreme and brownie) and the team did an excellent job accommodating my need to be gluten free as they had a separate menu. The service was outstanding, all members of the team were 5-star. If we lived nearby, we would definitely be back again and again! Thank you for a lovely evening.
This restaurant is a gem! Food was great as well as the drinks. The seafood was fresh and the price was great value. After walking the whole day in busy streets, it was amazing to find a quiet elegant place with friendly staff where we could relax whilst enjoying a meal. The restaurant was very clean including the bathrooms.
Just had a business lunch at Fish Works and probably my fourth visit over the past couple of years. This is an excellent venue with really attentive service, superb fresh fish and for the quality and service excellent value. The staff here really work hard to deliver. Thank you team, very much appreciated.
The whole experience was amazing. Angela our waitress was excellent and very attentive to all our requests and needs. The food was top notch. Oysters (carlyle and Lindsguard) were mouth watering. Haddock and chips is deffo a good shout. The kids menu for a restaurant like this is amazing. Our 3 year old was loving it. We left feeling extremely satisfied and extremely full. The hardest thing is finding some parking nearby in Central london but even that we found one 3 mins away for free. Will be back again.
Great place with fun atmosphere. Friendly staff and a few local beers. Had to try the fish n chips and did not disappoint! 2 versions: Halibut was light and flaky and the cod had a little more flavor.
Good food, good service and a place that had a somewhat relaxed atmosphere. The scallop starter was really delicious too! Unfortunately couldn't get a photo of it.
Absolutely fabulous. Staff are very attentive. Food is 5 star all the way. I would drive all the way to London to eat here. If you love fish then this is the one for you. Very reasonable prices considering the very high quality.
A favourite restaurant in London. The food is always brilliant. On this occasion we had pan fried halibut with samphire. It was superbly cooked, couldn't fault them.
If I can put more starts, I'd have put 10 stars! Their customer service was amazing and made our dinner special for sure. Took my non British friend to try fish and chips and she absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone!
Welcomed and served by friendly and attentive staff. We were able to share a meal being the ale battered fish and chips which was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, it was a great dining experience in London.
Cod fish and chips were excellent, server was very good. We enjoyed our experience.
Good service and very nice venue. There's also a fishmonger. We had the lunch deal and it was good, perhaps the tuna was a bit of a small portion. Very tasty and fresh. Good selection of wines.
Dined in for lunch and would recommend checking this place out if you love seafood. We opted for the lunch menu, and had scallops, whitebait for starter and tuna and mackerel for main, with oysters first. White bait starter was okay, but a lot of whitebait on the plate so a bit samey part way through. Tuna was a stand out dish for me, well cooked and seasoned. Would go back for this dish. Service was also attentive.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything! The Bouillabaisse was bursting with flavor and had plenty of seafood, and those king scallops were both huge and incredibly tasty, especially with the bread crumbles. Desserts didn't disappoint either; the apple and raspberry crumble was large enough to share, and while the espresso panna cotta wasn't the prettiest, it was delicious. Definitely worth a try!
The food and the general quality of the fish at Fishworks is definitely good quality. The highlight of the meal would be the scallops , they are super juicy and the breadcrumbs have so much flavour . Everything was delicious but I would say the portion sizes do not equate to the price of the dishes . The grilled seafood platter was so small and unfilling and it doesn’t even come with any substantial sides . The wild prawns starter was also a small portion. Service was pretty good .
A very good selection of fish for seafood enthusiasts. It has a regular menu along with a daily catch menu with whatever is available on the day, cooked either grilled or pan fried. Very appreciating that they actually show you the whole fish before they are sent to the kitchen! The fish was nicely cooked and tasted great. Their chips are surprisingly good and we even asked for an extra portion. The raw oysters were just about average and a bit pricey for the quality.
The restaurant looks really neat. We had two set of Oysters and champagne. Oysters 🦪 were okay. Champagne was not cold enough. Service a bit sad. Not engaging. Small details can make experience better or worse. We would come back again anyway because the atmosphere and the feel is really good.
Solid choice for pre theatre dinner. Very impressed with the quality of our meal, particularly my pan seared trout. Nicely seasoned, quality fresh fish, and beautifully cooked. Also worth noting that the sides - too often an afterthought - were exceptional. £100 for two people, including bread basket, two sides, mains, and two glasses of wine was reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location. Portion sizes were standard, though for £5.75, I’d have appreciated a few more pieces of their yummy freshly baked sourdough.
Lots of choice but falls short, especially for the price point. Seabass fillet was beautifully smoky and grilled but I came across so many bones whilst eating it, sort of put me off. The day’s special Hake was also tasty and the beetroot salad was a highlight. Fried whitebait also a good starter. Otherwise, fairly expensive for the quality of food and having to add on sides for a complete meal.
Fish soup & scallops to start, soup is rich, however garlics overloaded on baked scallops. Rarely to have Monkfish and Plaice in hong kong so we order these 2 fishes. Simple and delicious with mashed potatoes & butter sauce, price is very reasonable with the quality. Service is great today! Fish lovers give it a try!!
The food was delicious but not very filling. Also if you sit near the kitchen you will cover with smoke the air extractor doesn't work very well. I've tried the turbot fish which was very nice my boyfriend had sea bass. Also the dressert was very tiny and we had port wine which was big. Also first they brought my food with chilli which I didn't want so because the extra waiting time the dessert was free.
Went there with relatives in town in a quiet Monday evening. There weren't many customers in there. No complaints on food but they were not remarkable either. The turbot dish was the best amongst all.
Great seafood experience! The scallops, lobster Thermidor, and grilled shrimp were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Service was pleasant. Loved it!
Good choice for people who love seafood. a lot of wine / white wine or red wine for pairing with the food. 12.5% service charge will be included in the price after check bill
Nice place, good service and decent wine selection. Food was very good, if I am being super picky, my fish was slightly over but I think I'm probably being picky. Would definitely return
Starter is king scallops. Surprised, quite good and tasty with lemon ! Dish is Fish & chips. disappointed, I'm not particularly into fish & chips but this wasn't tasteful at all. I don't recommend it. Overall, expensive restaurant but surely worth the cost for something other than fish & chips as a dish.
We come here for late lunch early dinner. It was just ok giving that we were very hungry. My Seafood Bouillabaisse was a bit undercooked, I don’t eat raw seafood, and the broth lacks that cozy hearty flavor. Fish and Chips were ok and the Tiger Prawns weren’t really tiger sized! The best thing was the selection of bread and butter for £6. Service on the other hand was very attentive and staff very friendly.
Food was ok. Soup was good. Service fine.
We visited FishWorks in Marylebone last year and loved it. We were excited have dinner at this branch too, but it did not go that well. The staff was slow and kept forgetting things, the fish was “okay”. I’d expect better fish dishes given it is a fish-focused venue. Sides were flavourless.
I went here early evening with my boyfriend for dinner. The service was friendly and payed attention. For the starters I had some oysters which tasted fresh and that I quite enjoyed. As a main dish my boyfriend went for the fish & chips and I ordered a seared piece of tuna. The fish and chips was prepared very well with crispy chips and a very well fried peace of fish. The mashed peas were a bit too sweet for my taste. The tuna was technically well prepared but the flavour really underwhelmed me. The crust of the tuna didnt go so well with it and the side salad was simple rucola with an overly sweet dressing. I think the restaurant serves stunningly fresh sea food and prepares them well but the flavours and dish combinations could be improved.
Tasting platter for 2 was ok plenty to share. Wasn't impressed, oysters were tiny, lacked condiments. The tuna starter was the best. Sourdough bread didn't seem fresh. Dessert was overly sweet, the apple raspberry crumble no raspberry.
Hello! For the price I wasn't impressed. We ordered 6 oysters on the half shell and some prawns. I did not enjoy the flavor of the prawns, I thought that they tasted mucky and dirty, the flavor of the meat was cloudy. The seasoning was great, but you can't go wrong with anything that has a garlic and butter base. The oysters had a great flavor but were smaller then described and not as flavorful as I had hoped. I must say, I've had oysters from the east and west coast in America, as well as the Gulf of Mexico and so far the oysters back home in the states are better than the oysters I've found in the UK, but I am optimistic and will keep looking around!
I don't quite know how to describe this place. The service was good the sharing fish platter seemed although perhaps there could have been more.. sadly I was sick afterwards. Must have been the Oysters since my partner was fine and she did not eat the oysters. Difficult to recommend somewhere that poisons you.
