I recently enjoyed a fantastic three-course meal at The Claremont’s bar and restaurant near Charing Cross, and it was a memorable experience. From start to finish, each course was crafted with incredible attention to flavor and presentation. The starter was beautifully light yet flavorful, perfectly setting the tone for the meal. Moving on to the main course, the dish was perfectly cooked, balancing flavors with a satisfying depth. You can tell the chef put thought into sourcing quality ingredients and creating a delicious plate. This place is absolutely fabulous. Nisha our waitress could not do enough for us. Also the restaurant manager. They were balky to let us change the menu exchanging rice for mash potato on the beef stroganoff. It was super The wine is reasonably priced and the decor in the old great British hotel is neo classical. (Look out for the original light / chandeliers) We came in the fork. But I’d be happy to pay full price in future. Thanks guys.

This is the restaurant of the Clermont Charing Cross hotel, on the first floor. So it's a great location, literally right next door to Charing Cross station. We ate breakfast here each morning of our stay, and we ate dinner here one rainy evening. The restaurant is beautiful. The tables are close together, so you may not have the opportunity for a quiet conversation. Our food was very good. Service was slow--our server sometimes disappeared--but otherwise we had enjoyable meals here.

Terrace restaurant & bar is located at the first floor of the Amba Hotel charging cross , mainly to cater in house guest. The bar is good and compact. It has a great menu and the drinks and cocktails are very good.

Food was decent, nothing too special but not bad either. Service was okay, a bit slow at times. Could be better with more flavor in some dishes. Overall, an average spot to grab a meal without any big surprises.

Average service and food wasn't good. Calamari was tough, the rice overcooked and the fish and chips was way too greasy. The venue is beautiful though.

After reading all the good reviews we were looking forward to dine at Clermont hotel's restaurant. The service was mediocre from the begining however the food started on a good note. Both the Calamari and Falafel starters were delicious. Unfortunatelly the rest of the food didn't meet our expectations. The mains were absolutely tasteless, okay at best and with the lack of service that was all I could say when they asked how was it. Dessert were also just okay, nothing special. I wish we could have had that 5 star experience as everyone else. Maybe we went on the wrong day at the wrong time, but not worth a second try..

I am giving the restaurant two stars because the staff here are lovely. They're polite, welcoming, kind, friendly and actually engaged with us. However, I'd give the food half a star because the nicest thing I ate yesterday was mashed potatoes. My mother ordered her mash with no butter and it came with butter which meant that she couldn't eat it... I ate it instead because it was the nicest thing on the plate. The goujons were over cooked and the fish inside tasted frozen or just not fresh at all, very fishy. Just not at all good. I ordered the red mullet and it was literally the smallest plate of food ever plus again, the fish wasnt fresh. Not good. My cheesecake tasted like gelatin. NO FLAVOUR AT ALL. NONE. It was literally a wobblish firmish mess, Wetherspoons do a better cheesecake. Now, I understand that this was a groupon deal and we really did have a nice time with the staff and enjoyed our prosecco but the food gets half a star. I was quite embarrassed to be honest. I was embarrassed because I'd bought it as a treat to celebrate my mother and sisters for overcoming a hard family challenge and the food really was a let down. Thank god for alcohol. I would recommend the bar but NEVER the food. Chefs, you need to do better.

Please work on improving the caesar salad, had a lovely family meal here, and most enjoyed their meals - but I can’t recommend the caesar salad. The chicken was dry and cold, croutons were soft and flavourless, cheese seemed to be slices from a supermarket, and the salad was not great lettuce. No egg, no anchovies and the dressing was very basic. Hope to come back again but sending this in the hopes that they will improve the salad.

Overpriced and very empty. Steak was not seasoned at all.
