Opinions de Lola's Cafe New Paltz
Stopped by for some grub after a refreshing winter hike at lake minnewaska. This was one of the only places I. New Paltz opened until 8pm. We ordered to go. Nice parking lot and entry way. I was saying I bet it's nice to eat outside here in the summer. So we went inside and ordered. The guy at the register was very nice and attentive! It seemed like a very popular spot. Almost every seat was taken. I had to use el bano and very clean. Didn't get to do any chalk wall art though. Next time! Bae got the Cobb salad and I went out of my comfort zone and got the Waldorf chicken salad. I got mine with Cesar dressing. It was so delicious I didn't leave a crumb. Very fresh too and we opted for salads as the healthy meal. And we had water to wash it down. I would definitely come back here since new paltz has a special place in our hearts. Thank you for a great meal!
I love Lola's!! The food is very consistently fresh & delicious and the staff is always so kind and helpful! It does get busy on the weekends and there isn't much of a sitting/waiting area but they have a lovely patio out front so as long as it's not raining, it's a great place to grab lunch with family. I love their Tomato Mozzarella Panini & the fries are quite literally always perfect.
Such a cool place 😀 l had a beer and chicken wrap. Unhealthy but so delicious 🤤 It was sunny the day l visited, l enjoyed the sun, beer and lovely live music on the terrace. The service was good, young boys and girls, cheerful and happy to help. Free water is available next to the bar. You order inside (no table service) and they bring the food to your table after.
Great food, and very consistent. Big portions. Hope the lamb kafta special sticks around. Ally is the best!!
One of my favorite places to grab lunch in NP. The tomato & mozzarella panini is my favorite - love to grab one & sit on the patio, watching the world go by :)
This was a great place to eat! There were a variety of menu choices. Everything we ordered had a great presentation and tasted fabulous! The kitchen was bustling. They seemed to have good teamwork in the back. Only drawback, but not to us, it is not full service. You place your order and pay then find a seat and they serve you your food. We saw customers leave not knowing this.
Really great food. Simple fare, but gourmet flavors. and no strings attached service. Its refreshing to have no table service. I'm serious, you order your food at the counter, And then they will bring it to you, but there's no pressure to tip . This actually makes me really want to tip, so I do.
Amazing food at an affordable price! One issue that's always been near to my heart is food quantity. I don't want to eat and feel hungry afterwards, and when I saw the prices at Lola's (I had, of course, heard of the quality of Lola's food from my friends and family), I was worried I'd be hungry. I was thankfully wrong, the portions are plentiful, the prices are plentiful, and the food is fabulous. I just wish I had taken more pictures!
My friends and I went out for a girls lunch earlier today and could not have been happier with our experience! From the food to the customers service! The host who was kind enough to help me put my bike in the bike rack to the servers who always kept my glass full made my experience amazing! Personal recommendation for food - Turkey and Brie panini with a side of the peanut noodles OMG
Went here with my autistic friend and was treated to an amazing experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, which is impressive given how busy they are. The food is great, but not amazing for the price. Still, 5 stars overall.
No frills restaurant where you order at the counter and get your meal delivered to your table. The portions are the perfect size for a filling lunch. I had the Asian inspired bowl with chicken that was delicious. My partner had a salad with shrimp that she said was delicious. The staff were smiling and pleasent to deal with. Great place for a nice lunch.
Lola's doesn't miss. I haven't had an entree I don't like, and the peanut noodles as your side is a must
Super cute spot. Great sandwiches, and their peanut noodles are the best.
Lola’s is a wonderful restaurant! All the staff at Lola’s are kind and welcoming, And so friendly too!! The food is delicious!! Their soup specials are the best comfort food!! And there peanut noodles are to die for!! We have been coming to both Lola’s locations for years and have always loved and enjoyed the food! Both locations are gems among the restaurant communities!! And we will always continue to come to both locations to enjoy they’re classy atmosphere their exquisite menu!! ❤️❤️
Lola’s in New Paltz, NY, is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. My wife ordered the Waldorf salad, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of crisp apples, rich walnuts, and perfectly balanced dressing made each bite a refreshing delight. The flavors danced together beautifully, showcasing the quality of ingredients and the chef's attention to detail. I opted for the Brussels sprout salad, and I can confidently say it was one of the best salads I've ever had. The Brussels sprouts were roasted to perfection, with a wonderful char that added depth of flavor. Paired with savory elements and a zesty dressing, the dish was both hearty and satisfying while remaining light and refreshing. Overall, Lola’s exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates excellent food in a lovely setting. We can't wait to return for another memorable meal!
Lola’s Cafe is a perfect place to grab some deliciously designed fresh food especially when you do not feel like cooking! Lola’s Cafe in New Paltz has been my go to take out spot since they opened up! You will not be disappointed!
Great place with everything you need! Booze, good eats, great water and great vibes! The ordering up front and pre payment is a great casual vibe that allows groups of friends to go out and keep things simple! Highly recommend for climbers looking for good vibes!
Lola’s in New Paltz is awesome!!! I tell everyone I know to go there. Special shout out to Kourtney who made sure we had a great experience!
OMG if you have not tried this place you must!!! And the Malbec goes perfect with this Sunday FYI.... Update this place is one of my favorites in new Paltz. In the warm weather they have great outdoor seating where you can people watch. And that is the best in new Paltz. The food the staff and the wine are amazing here. Plus the owner has the biggest heart and donates his time, and money to great causes like helping to feed family's where the mom has cancer. He is one of the biggest donners to Sparrows nest, so stop by have a bite to eat and say to the manager you are here because the owner is such a good person. Pay it forward.
Lola's is our goto for apres climb dining and a beer. The burger is solid and our vegan friends also like it. Would recommend!
I did a door dash and didn’t see what I wanted on there so I called in and Courtney was marvelous! She immediately checked that it was in stock, made the proper arrangement and I got just what I wanted on this cool fall day. 🍜 thank you for your professionalism and being so helpful!
Super friendly staff and great food. We were sat immediately when walking in. You can scan the QR code at your table, order and pay directly from the link. Super convenient and beats waiting in line to order something. Staff delivers right to your table. Food portions were huge. We ordered two salads; the Asian and Caesar. Both were delish. That Asian salad was pretty special though. Service was polite and food was delivered quickly. One of the only restaurants in the area open later on a Monday. Thank goodness! I definitely would return.
So cute and friendly! Beautiful outdoor seating. Awesome gluten free menu! Just ask for the separate menu, good for large groups too!
Lola’s is a 10/10 must stop spot. The food is incredible and freshly made. Thank you for having gluten free options!!
Lola’s Cafe has easily become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming and the food? Absolutely fresh & delicious. What made the experience even better is how incredibly dog friendly the place is. The staff went out of their way to help me pick something for my pup and they were all so kind and genuinely sweet. You can tell they care. I honestly love everything about this cafe and can’t wait to come back again soon. :)
Fun, upbeat environment. Friendly, professional staff. And the best Chicken Waldorf Salad I have ever eaten! The grilled chicken was delicious. The peanut noodles are understandably a delicious favorite. Outdoor seating and ample comfortable seating inside. Dog friendly and beyond. ( Which I feel is so telling of the kind of wonderful people in this cafe. ) A great find on our excursion beyond Wildflower Resort. New Paltz has a fun, funky vibe. Wish we had more time to investigate this town. Thank you for a great lunch!
The place is a semi- order your own by the counter but get your food served by the table deal (at least for me when I was there on a Monday lunch time.. super crowded with wait list!). Panini was the best I have ever had in NY - the bread was so buttery and soft it did not even feel like bread. I highly recommend this place.
Lola's has delicious salads and sandwiches --- the best in the area! The seasonal brussels sprouts salad (in winter) and Summer Berry Salad along with the Chicken Waldorf salad are outstanding. The tastiest sandwiches include the Turkey Avocado and Turkey Brie panini. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's our favorite casual restaurant.
I’ve been here a few times and each visit I am never disappointed. They have a dedicated gluten free menu which is restaurant holy grail for me. They are dog friendly! And the food is delicious, but pricey. I recommend buffalo chicken salad and their homemade shakes! Special shoutout to the Hawk wrap as well.
The food and service is exceptional! The specials are always creative and delicious! Today’s salad special “Midnight Moon Panzanella Salad” can only be improved by putting it on the regular menu! PLEASE and Thanks!
Edit... While I love their food, I just called there at 7:33 And they refused to make a salad for me.They said they're taking no more orders. They don't close until eight o'clock. They're technically still open.I asked if I walked in, would they make my salad, they said, no. What kind of customer service is that if you're open till eight, you're open till eight! The last customer gets to come in at eight, not you get to clean up and go home by eight. Lolas is a wonderful restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Place your orders at the counter, and they'll deliver to your table. Or most people take their wonderful salads, bowls, and sandwiches to go. My favorites are the summer Berry salad and the winter Brussel Sprout salad, both are amazing. I take mine topped with seared Ahi tuna!!!
Delicious, large panini. Brussel Sprout salad also was great and huge. I don't know how they can afford to stay open with such reasonable prices and large portions! Wish I lived closer!
I love this place! I dine in or takeout at least once a week. The menu features a diverse selection of creative cuisine with many healthy options. From bowls to salads to wraps, I’ve sampled just about everything and my appetite is always satisfied. The staff is warm and friendly, and they always greet you with a smile. They have a cool outdoor patio overlooking the heart of downtown New Paltz. I highly recommend Lola’s for a hearty lunch or dinner.
Very good! It was very confusing w the ordering it was my first time. So wait for a table to see if one is available they will tell you your table number. Meantime they hand you a menu. Order your food and drinks up front and pay first. They will bring your food to the table. Free water is available to the left of the front door when you walk in. The food was good! The gluten free bread was good. If you order the bean and corn salad ask them to put it in a separate dish, or you will have a very soggy sandwich.
Plenty of parking within walking distance. Indoor or outdoor seating. For small parties or just buy yourself. Clean environment. We were greeted from a very friendly staff who were very attentive the entire time. Everything we order was delicious. Good quality, quantity and price. We will be back in a few weeks for more hiking and we're definitely stopping back in.
Lola's Cafe and Catering in New Paltz delivered an exceptional dining experience. The food was nothing short of fantastic, particularly the burger which struck a perfect balance. The bun was just right, providing a solid foundation without overpowering the other elements. The garnishes were thoughtfully selected, enhancing the burger without making it too busy. The signature sauce was smooth and tied all the flavors together beautifully. The staff impressed with their speed and efficiency, managing a bustling crowd with ease. It was evident that this place is a local favorite. Our Victorian Bulldog, Bailey, is eagerly anticipating more treats from Lola's, a testament to the quality and appeal of their offerings. All in all, Lola's Cafe and Catering is a gem in New Paltz, highly recommended for both the food and the friendly atmosphere.
So good! Ate here for lunch. We showed up and we're given a 15 minute wait time after which we were given menus and a table. To order you have to go up to the counter, and then they brought the food to our table. It was great! They had a lot of different options such as burgers, paninis, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. I got the Chipotle turkey panini and a house salad, other people got salad bowls, tukey brie paninis, wraps, peanut noodles, and their soup of the day.
I have met my sandwich. It’s at Lola’s. I am old enough that the superlatives I use actually carry some meaning, so when I say “best” here, please consider its credibility. The short rib grilled cheese on sourdough is the best sandwich that I have ever been served at a restaurant. Any time. Anywhere. That meal, the service, the atmosphere and all the other factors that make Lola’s so wonderful earned our designation as the premier stop on a weeklong Hudson Valley vacation. To our Lola’s friends, thank you for making it so! To readers, don’t pass up this opportunity for an unforgettable experience at a simply perfect eatery.
Great food, great prices, great service. This is the first time I've ever been to Lola's despite living in the area for years. Wish I had came here sooner. Got the short rib grilled cheese with the peanut noodles. Grilled cheese was phenomenal. Peanut noodles have a subtle heat to them but nothing crazy. Tried my best friend's vegan chili and if you didn't know it was it would fool even the hardiest of meat eaters. Everything is super delicious. I know some folks complain about having to order from the counter and not at your table but I actually love that concept. You just tell them your table number, pay, and they deliver your food to you. So easy. They have free water to the left of the entrance which is convenient. Our server was awesome and was on top of everything. All in all a great restaurant. I want to come back and try their shakes!
This place is adorable, we went on a whim while passing through NP and we were so pleasantly surprised. We ordered the black bean burger and the Asian chicken salad, both of which tasted so fresh. I must admit I was expecting a frozen Morningstar type situation (and if it was, bravo) but it was SO fresh. Expect to order/pay at the counter and then the food is brought out to your numbered table. You can leave plates on the table when you’re done. Bathrooms were gender neutral and extremely clean! There’s also a little chalk wall area that you can doodle and write on. Great experience and will definitely come back again!
If I had the recipe for their peanut noodles, I swear I would make it every night. Easy and casual place to eat at in town. Once you sit, you order your meal at a counter up front. As for the food, I can't talk about it enough. There's such a great variety, and everything is absolutely delicious. My at the place always feels so short because of how quickly I seem to scarf it down. Highly recommend. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but there might be a bit of a wait during peak times. I usually go outside of those and typically get seated right away.
Traveling for work and someone recommended Lola's to me. The food was great, the staff beyond friendly and the atmosphere was such a great vibe! Definitely a solid recommendation and will come back!
One of the best meals I've had in so long. Tried a bite of my wife's brussel sprout salad, phenomenal! I had the spicy chicken sandwich and omg what a magical science to make it so crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. 10/10!
Had the salad at Lola Café and it was absolutely excellent. The ingredients were fresh and beautifully balanced — the roasted Brussels sprouts were perfectly caramelized, the bacon added great flavor, and the mix of cranberries, walnuts, and cheese made every bite delicious. The grilled chicken was tender and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying salad!
Went with my girlfriend to this spot back in August. We've never been to New Paltz before and it was truly an enjoyment to be here. That grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap I had was one of the best wraps I've had in awhile and my girlfriend really enjoyed her medium rare burger. We honestly really miss this place and hope to visit again soon. I called this place the other day just to let them know that they make such great food, that's how great they are. It's very friendly, clean and the prices are great too. Overall 1000/10 experience. Please don't close this store!! Hoping it keeps on thriving.
What can I say? Food was great, it was very fast and literally everyone was so nice. The prices were great too. Very nice spot and super courteous staff checking up on us and making sure he had what we need. We went for lunch and I think we made it at a good time it was empty at first then the restaurant filled up 20 minutes later.
My wife and I travel to the catskills every autumn and we always plan to stop at Lola's for lunch. We have enjoyed everything we have tasted. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. It is a charming place. Reasonably priced. I would dearly love to have their chili recipe. 😋
This is a casual dining establishment offering flexibility with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The service model operates on a select-your-table-first basis, after which ordering is done at the main counter. The staff operating the floor and counter were friendly. The menu includes several vegetarian options, and the food prepared was consistently tasty. A self-serve station featuring lemon and cucumber water is available in the main hall. A notable detail of the venue is the restroom, which features distinctive, funky art.
We happened to discover this spot and chose to give it a go. After checking in, we were informed that someone would come to take our order, so we waited calmly for 15-20 minutes. I went inside to wash my hands, and on my way to the restroom, I realized that we had been misinformed and that customers actually place their orders at the cashier's desk. My kids were very hungry, so I couldn't delay any longer looking for another place to eat, so I opted to stay and wait another 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. Bummer… However, the food was tasty, and the marshmallow s'mores were delicious as well. Despite the frustrating wait, we enjoyed our time there and might visit again when we're in the area.
The berry salad was amaaazing. Globs of goat cheese, lots of fresh berries, great vinaigrette, and perfectly spiced and moist chicken. The kid's turkey sandwich was huge. The tex-mex burger was flavorful and fresh with generous toppings. The peanut noodle side was interesting. Would go back happily.
I enjoyed it here! The food is GREAT— and my favorite in town. I would most definitely drive to eat here… thankfully, I am local/driving distance as of right now. Feedback would be more so for the staff. When spending time with family, it’s unsettling when someone hovers back and forth checking your table (when it’s not a service-based restaurant)— it’s an order to go or sit down. Also, first impression is everything and a welcoming presence would be great too especially with the quality of food that is served here— it *would be* one of my top restaurants (hands down)— if the culture and energy was more welcoming. Yet, culture/service is everything. Either way, it is a must try, y’all! Enjoy :) and blessings to you. (PS— of course I’ll be back because we all have our days and it was my first time here) Updating as of April 8th, 2025: Second time around and my review still stands the same. Great food and room for improvement on the culture and energy.
Lola’s!!!! I love you! Such a great spot. Great energy. And food was delish. Had the B.L.A.T sandwich and probably best “blt” I’ve had. Great bread. Super fresh lettuce and tomato. Crisp bacon. And creamy avocado. AND the chipotle mayo had just the right amount of heat! Others at the table ordered the Sticky Rice Bowl, Southwest Bowl, Chicken Salad Wrap (crazy flavorful!) and Short Rib Grilled Cheese (really tasty but could’ve used more short rib). Didn’t love the wait for a table then wait in line to self order but the energy was great so it wasn’t too big of a deal. Went on a Saturday afternoon-they had live music on the patio! Looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu!
What a delightful corner restaurant in the main shopping district of New Palz! We enjoyed a fantastic late lunch after hiking in the Gunks with the dog. We considered bringing the dog, but it was pretty hot outside so we dropped her off at the airbnb and opted to sit inside and enjoy the clean lines, sunny windows and cozy decorations inside. I ordered the Captain Jack Burger (bacon, cheddar, shoestring onions, romaine, hot pepper aioli) and it was absolutely delicious, maybe best burger I've had (and my daughter agreed). The patty was generous, cooked exactly how I like it, with just the right tender yet meaty chew. The different toppings were perfectly balanced against each other. We also loved the ancho cumin vinaigrette in the southwest bowl and the special Italian chicken panini. I subbed the fries for a delicious, tangy medium spicy peanut butter noodles and my husband said the fries were good. Huge portions. We all had leftovers so we could enjoy the meal a second time! A big highlight (and the reason he suggested this place) were the gourmet milkshakes. The S'mores shake featured two graham crackers loaded with flame torched marshmallows - at least 8, that were nicely warm and soft in the middle, the glasses were chilled and dipped in a delicious graham cracker crumb and the ice cream, chocolate ganache and whipped cream generously layered inside. Service was quick and we were out well before our hour parking meter was up.
Such a great find by my teamie. Went for lunch after the Apple picking with my teammates. Was pretty crowded, had to wait for about half an hour to dine but the wait was worth it. The Southwest bowl with ahi tuna was delish. And all the other food we ordered. Loved the seating area as it was in the Main Street. Will definitely like to go again if I pass through this town. Update: went in again with same group after apple picking. Ordered hot chicken burger & it was on point. Loved it.
After a late winter hike at Minnewaska, bae and I were craving something healthy for dinner. We searched Google Maps for salads in the area and found this spot. We parked in the lot just behind the restaurant and went in to place our take out order. I went with the SouthWest Cobb Salad 🥗. After a little bit of a wait, we stood at the bar area. It came out fresh, warm (chicken) and a huge portion. Very large strips of chicken, nice amount of egg and bacon. It was tasty and In all I was very pleased. The restaurant was busy for a Saturday evening. I noticed it is decorated with cool stickers of the shop name and a cute American bulldog. I suspected that is their mascot, though the dog was not present in the restaurant. When asked, they gave us a handful of stickers. Baes grilled chicken Caesar salad was really good. Bae finished the entire thing in no time. Must have been good.
Food was good but we put our names in for an inside table bc it was so hot. They keep the doors open so it wasn't that much better inside though, also flies inside restaurant. We waited at least 30 min then to find out you had to order food at the counter, no one takes order at table. Would have been nice to be informed of that having never been there. We could have expedited things.
Start with parking. Non existent. Greeted by a friendly host who handed us two menus, pointed at a table and told us to order at the counter. Think fast food type ordering with delivery to your table. Drinks of any kind were a complete mystery. I couldn't find a menu of drink options anywhere. I'm sure it was somewhere, I just didn't see it. We ordered Chicken Bruschetta sandwiches with side salads. Food was delicious, if a bit messy. All staff were smiles and happy to serve Atmosphere was noisy. Happy we tried it, I can see why people like it, but not for me.
Cafe style restaurant. The short rib grilled cheese was a highlight! The chicken wrap was ok. Good for a quick bite!
The employees there are super nice. The food was amazing! Everything tasted very fresh. They don't have fountain drinks, which we thought was odd, but the lemonade/tea we had were much better than fountain drinks. One other thing we thought was odd is that there was no one to take your order, you had to go and order yourself at the register but it wasn't really a problem. Everyone was friendly, we just love the town. We will definitely go back.
After moving to three different tables as each seating was unusually hot, I was then informed the Air conditioning was broken. You need to buy the food first at the register and you’re not waited on. One woman at the register was oblivious to a customer waiting to order as preferred to chat to coworkers instead and had to be told to assist by another coworker. Must be their first real job…food was good but seemed some canned food was involved. Placed looked great, hip and while place was clean including the bathrooms hardware. Did make custom iced coffee with no sugar added.
Great little spot in New Paltz! Took my wife and daughter here for lunch. We all really liked what we got. The service was fine but I knocked it down a star for asking for tips up front and not after the meal is done. If you're in New Paltz you should definitely go there and have yourself a quality meal. Sidenote, I loved the playlist while we sat outside on a beautiful day.
Have met a friend here a couple of times for lunch. Tends to be really busy. There is outdoor seating on a patio with both tables and high top seating at a counter. Inside is conventional tables. Ordering and paying is done at the front counter, and if you give them your table number they will bring your food to you. Inside can get REALLY loud and difficult to have a conversation. We both had the black bean burger which was GREAT. Very substantial burger, and garnished with all kinds of stuff....pickle, greens, tomato I think.....great lunch. You have a choice of sides, and the peanut noodles are HIGHLY recommended. Thick udon noodles with a great peanut sauce, not heavily soy sauce laden like Chinese restaurants. They sell hand made shakes, some of the specialty shakes are $14. Regular ones are $7. They have bottled Harney and Sons iced tea. Local and the best. Try the peach.
Lola's cafe main st New paltz ny. This cafe is self serve place your order and pay and select your table. The chili was very bland, needs more spices and also shredded cheese and sour cream would be nice if offered. Burgers was very bland, what happened to cooking with simple ingredients as salt and pepper goes a long way, vanilla milkshake was good but for the price$14 you get such a small portion compared to most restaurant. If you expect people to self serve you should reflect the price to be more competitive cheaper instead of raising the price. This cafe was a miss.spices go a long way instead of offering bland food. Extremely disappointed.
Not sure why this place gets so much praise. The food was awful, the Mediterranean wrap was lukewarm warm, and incredibly salty. My wife got the southwestern chicken wrap that was meh. They put some sort of Olivia sauce in it that almost made it inedible. I couldn’t eat even half of it. The fries were also over salted. For a table of four, the only things that came out well were the grilled cheese sandwich (cause how hard is it to med that up?) and milkshakes. Very disappointed and don’t plan on going back anytime soon. Plenty of other establishments in the town with higher quality food.
My wife got sick from eating undercooked hot chicken sandwich. Chicken was pink in the center. She woke up in the middle of the night, and threw up 3 times. Made her very sick. When I called them, the manager said "there is always a small risk of chicken being undercooked" and tried to underplay it. I am very upset over how nonchalant they seemed over this which can a serious health and safety concern. Perhaps someone who doesn't understand the seriousness of salmonella in undercooked poultry should not run a restaurant.
Disappointing Experience at Lola’s Cafe in New Paltz I rarely take the time to leave negative reviews, but my experience at Lola’s Cafe in New Paltz was truly disappointing. Given the positive ratings, I expected a welcoming atmosphere and good service, but unfortunately, the reality was quite the opposite. Service: Unprofessional and Unwelcoming From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude. We waited patiently to be served, only to be met with dismissive and unfriendly behavior. Despite our repeated attempts to place an order, we were completely ignored and, eventually, outright refused service—without any valid explanation. Their condescending tone and lack of basic hospitality made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority here. Cleanliness: A Major Concern Adding to the negative experience, the restaurant itself was visibly unkempt. Dirty windows, uncleaned tables, and an overall lack of maintenance created an unappetizing environment. A restaurant should uphold at least basic hygiene standards, but Lola’s Cafe failed to meet even the most minimal expectations. Alternative Options in the Area New Paltz is home to a variety of fantastic restaurants and cafés that actually value their customers. If you’re looking for a great meal, consider one of the many local Mexican restaurants or bar-style eateries nearby, where you’ll likely receive much better treatment and food in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Final Verdict: Avoid This Place I strongly advise against visiting Lola’s Cafe. Between the unprofessional service, lack of cleanliness, and outright refusal to serve paying customers, this is not a place worth your time or money. With so many better options in New Paltz, you’ll have a much more enjoyable experience elsewhere. Save yourself the regret and choose a restaurant that actually appreciates its patrons.
