I just moved here from San Francisco where they have some of the best Taqueria's. I am very picky and have been a bit hesitant to try out a new Mexican restaurant. I was very pleased with the food, it tasted very authentic, and my very picky kids loved it too. I'm happy that my family now has a Mexican restaurant to go to. I ordered for delivery, next time we will dine in.

The food was great. Not a place to go if your in a hurry. There are signs that point out " This is not a fast food restaurant" Which is why the food is great. Each order being freshly made takes time. Definitely going back. Super sweet pretty waitress too...

This place has been on the radar for some time, I finally decided to check it out and had been going back over and over again. They are very friendly and easy to work with. They make a great Steak Burrito, tasty tacos. They will be my go-to in Oakley.

I've been coming here for 3 years now. After trying 3-4 other Mexican food restaurants in the area, I settled on 7 Mares as my go to. I can get the Super Burrito on my way home for dinner and it's enough for my lunch the next day too. Fajitas are really good and the Pinacoladas are Great! Usually no wait as it's off the main road a block or so.

This is our 1st time there. It seemed from the outside like a hole in the wall. But when inside, we were greeted properly. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious!!!! I had the shrimp fahitas. It was very flavorful. Food came out fast. We had a party of 5. We all got our food together. I would eat there again!

We only eat in every once in a while. But love to get takeout from here. My wife loves the burrito bowl and I love the fish ceviche.

WOW. Went here after a night out because I love small mexican spots like this. The waitress was AMAZING and the food was PHENOMENAL. I also got the tamarindo agua fresca and it was great. The super burrito is huge and the free chips and salsa is to die for. You MUST try if you are in the area! They also got my super burrito out in less than 5 minutes. Highly impressed with this location!

Weekends are supercrowded and good luck finding a parking spot, their parking lot can only accommodate about 15 cars, that's why 4 stars other wise I give them 5, their food is really good and great service, they need to do something about that parking lot pronto.

The place was empty when we got there around 7:30 so we weren't expecting much but the food was very good. My wife and I shared their humongous 14-inch burrito and it was great. The three other people we were with all like their food also.

At first, I was apprehensive in trying a new restaurant and drove by this establishment many times. One day, I said to self let's try this place. I did and to my surprise the food was plentiful and excellent. This will be my new favorite Mexican Restaurant in Oakley. This place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Some of their food is out-of-this-world GOOD! Their molcajete is an example. It's excellent. Their bean dip is great, as are several other specialties. We've had some dishes that, from our perspective were mediocre, but I don't recall what they were. I will say this --- that they do not have efficient service down yet. When it is slow, their service is both pleasant and passable. When it is busy, it is beyond slow (took over an hour to get our food once). They need to learn to gear up their wait and kitchen staff for special days (Mother's Day was a crawl). Still much of their food is incredibly good, so we hope they retain that - and improve on the rest.

Came to check out this place. I saw a picture of chile verde chicken enchilada but they didn't want to make me one so I got the red enchiladas. one of the pictures shows the green leaf, guessing it's sage cause I've cooked with it before. I guess its better than that roach pic at La Costa. lol Not that great of a chicken enchiladas ranks in the lower than regulars ones I've had. I did ask for the two over easy eggs that came out just right. points on that one, but not worth $4 bucks more, I get reimbursed, hehe. rice ?? well lets just say I got that dry sticking to the bottom of the pan rice, no flavor or appeal to it. it did'nt even taste Mexican. Beans as any other place. The jamaica was just right. not sugar tasting points on that. I think the best part of my review is the one, I repeat one tiny I do mean tiny salsa I got was actually spicy. But at the end I noticed it tasted like the juice from the jalepeno can. I am not from the neighborhood so I hope to never eat here again. They have lost their mojo.

Very good and large portions for a very reasonable price on all of the dishes. My personal favorite is the Chimichanga which came out nice and crispy each time I have ordered it. The service response time and friendliness is about average, not mind-blowing, but they are responsive when the servers are going around the restaurant floor checking on their customers. This is a place that has a lot of to-go orders, so the people who would take your orders and serve your food are also taking the orders and serving at the main counter for take-out customers. I would give this more stars if the restaurant wasn't so noisy. The tile floors cause the place to become an echo chamber when it is just barely half full of customers. Depending on the volume of the music playing, it can be even worse. If you are sensitive to loud noise, this may not be the best place for dining in, especially during peak dining times, (take-out would be recommended if that is the case). Parking at this location can also be a challenge during peak dining times.

I went today at around 2. It wasn't busy at all. I came in with my 8 month old and my mom. The place has some very adorable high chairs but, they arent very safe. The table has a little hook on under part where its supposed to latch close but, the baby easily kick out the hook. Also I found it strange that there was no saftey belt. The first high chair they brought didn't even latch at all. So I asked for another chair. This is when I felt the vibe shift from the waitress. We ordered and my mom got a fish filet with garlic sauce on the side. My mom begins to pour the sauce over the fish. When she takes a bite, she make a face and says there's something wrong with the sauce. So I tried the sauce with a tortilla and its has kind of sour taste to it. Like the sauce had gone bad. Its a mixture of garlic bits, oil, butter, mushrooms, and oinons. My mom was hesitant to say anything but at this point her dish is no longer edible so we asked if she could get another plate but without the sauce on the side. The waitress got a little flustered with the request. She began to say something along the lines of eat it without the sauce. I explained she had poured it over the top of the fish already. She took the plate with a smile and confirmed if all we wanted was the rice, beans, and fish filet. As we waited for my mom's plate to come out she ignored us. Walked passed us about 5 times to ask the table next to us if they needed anything, like if they wanted a refill on the sodas, or chips and dip. I got a combination plate of enchilada and chimichanga. The guacamole was browing, the enchilada sauce you taste was straight from a can. I scraped the guacamole off the chimi. My food was cold as well. When beans sit out and get cold they start to congeal on the top. The cheese on top wasn't melty it had hardened on top from how long they had sat on the plate before being brought out. It was a bummer because I've been here before and the food was actually good.

Falsifying dietary information is a violation of trust and disrespectful to those with religious or ethical restrictions. I am turning 5 star review to 1 star
