I have my lunch at Saigon 88 today. I ordered what my son recommended, the #2 Saigon 88 Special with boneless chicken. The noodles and the soup are excellent. The chicken is not the best compared to the other chicken dishes restaurants. But I love the noodles the best. I don't care about the chicken. The chicken is okay with the dipping sauces. I like the dining room. It has good natural light from the windows in the daytime. The service is fast and friendly.

The best chicken pho I've had. They've had a recent update to their menu as well so check it out!!! If you're a big eater like me and do fresh noodles, I recommend an exrra side of noodles. If not, do thin noodles. But definitely 5/5 for me. Go and support!!! 🙆🏻‍♂️🙆🏻‍♂️

Those fried onions make all the difference. Pickled onions and jalapeños were also great! Definitely changed my perspective on chicken pho. 9/10!

The restaurant was freezing when we went but the pho was so warm and delicious! Their rice noodle and egg noodles are so good! Can't wait to go back.

Ordered the #14 and it was very yummy 😋. Flavorful broth, robust with herbs and tender meat. Spicy but not too spicy. The portion is huge and definitely will fill you up.

Probably the best Cơm Gà Hải Nam in the Sacramento area. The ginger-infused fish sauce was absolute perfection—fragrant, balanced, and elevating every bite of the tender chicken and rice. Service was impressively fast, and our server checked in on us several times, making sure everything was just right. The portions ran slightly on the smaller side, could be an opportunity area. The décor was warm and inviting, adding to the overall dining experience. Will definitely be back.

Ordered the #14 and it was very yummy 😋. Flavorful broth, robust with herbs and tender meat. Spicy but not too spicy. The portion is huge and definitely will fill you up.

Mixed reviews on both foods and services. The foods overall is good and ok but not your typical Vietmanese flavors. On the less, the foods are good. Service is but not so good. A bit rude and we have to asked for items after waiting for a while.

Service was very good, but the food is slightly below average. It wasn't very busy, but the food took about 25-30 minutes to come out. Our waitress did notify us 15 minutes after we placed the orders, but still, we were hangry! #16 Bun Bo Hue 88 Pho should be hot, if not piping hot. My soup was warm. I wanted to say something to our waitress, but I was really hungry and had only 20 minutes to eat before picking up my son. The beef shank was tasty, and I wish there were more than 2 slices. The pork blood was stale, and I didn't care for the pork feet. It had a lot of fat. Overall, I was disappointed with my dinner. #10 Specialty Chicken Rice Plate The Hainan rice was good, not too oily. The chicken was average, nothing to rave about. The sauce was drizzle on the chicken. I find that odd because it's usually served on the side because it's a dipping sauce. Maybe today was an off day. Sadly, I doubt we will return.

Poor service & food. There was not one, but 4 hairs in this chicken piece. I had a very long day at work, and didn’t feel getting workers involved. They barely even checked on me, maybe because I was solo. Who knows. But definitely is not tasty or worth trying.

This restaurant has very few variety to choose from. Their menu consists mostly of chicken. So we placed our order. When he brought us our food, his thumb was inside my bowl of soup with his dirty blue gloves. When he placed the soup down on the table his thumb was fully submerged into the broth of my soup—he was still wearing those same blue filthy gloves. I was hungry but suddenly I lost my appetite. The other bowl of soup was quite bland. Just tasted like boiled chicken with very little salt. The soda was good though! We didn’t say anything, paid and left. Went next door to eat instead. Much better experience next door. If you’re wanting more selection I recommend going elsewhere. I hope they hire friendly people with customer service skills.

Sides: I always order the fried dough sticks with my pho as I like dipping it into the broth, but the fried dough sticks were over cooked and hard that you literally have to have the fried dough sticks swimming in the brother to soften for at least 3 minutes. 4. The table we were seated at still had someone’s lunch on the table and seat so if your okay with chicken chunks and liquids over your seat and table then come! Overall: Terrible overall you can go to spots like Sit - Lo, Pho Anh Do, or other places that serve really tasty and rich broth tasting eateries than Saigon 88. 👎🏽👎🏽 Two Thumbs Down!

Pho had meager portions of meat and was much more oily than any other Pho ive ever had. Atmosphere gives the "Well its Hot and Ready, never said anything about being good" vibe. Rice dish felt off and just thrown together. For the same price i could have gone somewhere else. Neither of us finished half our food and would probably never come back

They lied…website says they close at 8pm but they’re really closed at 7:30pm. Many times I get there by 7:30 and they turn me down telling me their kitchen is closed. I even called to place a take out b4 7:30pm and they said they only do takeout in person by 7:45pm. At 7:44 I called saying I’m speeding to come order a take out so please make the dish as I’m literally 1 min away and the lady told me they’re closed. So what time do they really close? Dude…just put 7:30pm closing on the website and stop wasting peoples time!
