Old Oaks Steakhouse is on a completely different level. We tried several cuts — Australian Wagyu, Kosher Ribeye, and Filet Mignon — and every single one was outstanding. I personally had the 45-day dry-aged Porterhouse, and it was simply phenomenal: deep, rich flavor, perfect tenderness, and cooked with absolute precision. The sides were just as impressive. The portobello fries and the loaded baked potato were both exceptional — rich, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal complement to such high-quality beef. What truly made the evening special was the overall experience: warm, attentive service, a beautiful atmosphere, and a memorable night for our whole family. If you appreciate true steakhouse culture and world-class meat, this place is an absolute must.
This was our first time dining at the Old Oaks Steakhouse and it definitely won’t be our last! Our server Brittney attended to our party of 8 with grace and ease. We enjoyed several appetizers, starters, entrees, and sides. From the moment we arrived to when we finished dining, we had an impressive experience!
We went here right after they opened in April ‘25 and were very disappointed. However, friends invited us to go again and I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was beautiful, packed and lively but a little noisy. We had a drink at the large beautiful bar and the bartender Dan was amazing! When our friends arrived we were sat in the rear room which was much quieter. We had salads, several steaks, the crab cakes, scallops, au gratin sweet potatoes, truffle potatoes and desserts. Everything was amazing! The chef came over as well as the owner to make sure we were happy and satisfied 💖 We were and now we have a new place to eat !!! Will definitely be back. 🎉💃🏿
@oldoakssteakhouse556 another excellent dining experience at ONE of my favorite new restaurants in #thousandoaks at the old Corrigan’s Steakhouse! Can’t compare the old place but the new place is awesome! Everything is perfect! From dropping your car off with the excellent valets to walking in to meet the nice lovely hosts ready to seat you! The wait staff is so polite and helpful! The food is out of this world!! Don’t forget to get dessert! Chocolate cake was delicious! Arseen and his brother have a bit hit here! Please stop by and support local businesses in Thousand Oaks!! Say hi to his son Marco! Great kid with big smile! This place is so warm and welcoming! Stop by today!
Hands down the best steakhouse in Ventura county. I was pleas with everything from the service to the food and the ambience. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend the Gold Standard tomahawk.
We celebrated my birthday at Old Oaks Steakhouse and couldn’t have been more impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, the live music added such a fun and cozy vibe, but the real standout was the exceptional service. Our server Daniel went above and beyond—he was incredibly attentive, kept our waters filled without us even noticing, refreshed our plates and utensils seamlessly, and ensured our steaks were cooked to perfection. It’s rare to find that level of care and professionalism, and it truly made the night feel even more special. We’re so happy to have found our new go-to spot, and a place to celebrate special occasions. We’ll definitely be back!
Old Oaks Steakhouse in Thousand Oaks is a gem! The filet and 30-day aged New York strip were absolutely phenomenal—cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. The atmosphere transports you to a charming old-town statehouse, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The staff was exceptionally friendly, making the experience even better. Every bite was a delight, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

Just wow. Lets start off with the obvious: This place is pricey in the traditional sense. However, the bang you get for your buck is stellar. The service was very supportive and attentive throughout, truly personalizing the experience for us specifically. The steaks are cooked on a woodfire grill, so the smoke flavor shines through in all cuts of meat. The sides complimented, even elevated the main courses. The ribeye was percectly medium rare, very juicy, incredible flavour. The truffle fries had freshly shaved truffle so that each bite has that truffle flavour. The sauces were all delicious and exquisite. This steakhouse is very intentional on what they put on the menu and drink selection, its all carefully curated. Hands down the best steakhouse experience I’ve ever had. Heavily recommended for celebratory occasions due to the price tag, but whether its worth it is never going to be a question for Old Oaks steakhouse, therefore I can only recommend.
I absolutely love this place! I’ve been there a few times and never walked away disappointed. I prefer it 10 times over to Mastro’s. The steaks here are incredibly tasty with options of different sauces. The sides are incredible! I would highly recommend the purée potatoes, the cream spinach, and the crispy broccolini. The place is a class act and worth the money. They also have a bar area.
Had a fantastic dinner at Old Oak Steakhouse with my good friend Greg. We both went for the Denver steak and it was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The kind of steak that makes you quietly nod to yourself after the first bite. The service really made the evening though. Our waitress Jamy was warm, fun to talk to, and super attentive without hovering. I actually did a double take when she walked up because she looked like the spitting image of Helen Hunt — and judging by her reaction, she’s heard that one before. As the cherry on top, the owner surprised us with a behind-the-scenes tour, which was a cool extra touch and made the whole experience feel even more special. Top-quality food, top service, and a great vibe overall. I’ll definitely be back — even if it takes me until next year to make it happen. 🥩✨ Errol de Ceuninck van Capelle
What an amazing experience! Britney was very attentive and everyone who came by our table were all very friendly. I got the 30 day aged NY strip, and it was perfect. Cocktails were very tasty and they have an impressive wine list. As an homage the owners kept the horns that were hanging when this used to be Corrigans Steakhouse, true Gentlemen. Come pay this family owned gem a visit!
The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff especially Phil and Jamie were professional and knew their steaks and wine. It is a steakhouse and they were amazing. Cooked and seasoned to perfection cooked over wood fired We split a 12 oz filet and the portion was enough for two. The sides were very large and made to be shared. The salad came with chilled forks which you see rarely. I had the crab cakes and the remoulade was very tasty. All the sides for the baked potato were very plentiful. We requested the vegetables to be steamed even though it was not an option on the menu. And they delivered. Highly recommend to try out a great steakhouse in Thousand Oaks and order one of their wonderful steaks.
The food and service were 5 star. We had the Tomahawk and Porterhouse, great sides, desert, cocktails and wine. Steaks were tasty, tender and cooked to perfection. Our Waitress Kailie couldn't have been better -- fun, knowledgeable, professional and she checked in on us frequently. The owner Albert stopped by to introduce himself and also Head Chef David. It was a memorable wedding anniversary for my wife and I.
My second time here. It was even better than the first, which I thought was impossible. The aged ribeye was definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back again!!!
The service and the place was great , we stopped by randomly and we love steaks . This place was 💯. Johnny our waiter was classy , even more special was after a great meal we were met by the owner that thanked us and walked us into his kitchen and showed us how they prep.. meeting the Chef and the kitchen was impeccably clean and full of great energy. We got the NY strip and the lamb chops and will be back for the porterhouse. Really happy we came here .

My wife and I finally out to try Old Oaks Steakhouse and were impressed with both the service and the food. Our waiter, Jason, was on point, instructive, and helpful. For example, when my wife was struggling with the shell of the lobster tail, Jason was there in a flash to offer to take the lobster back to the kitchen to extract it from its shell. As for the food, I had the crab cakes appetizer, which thankfully had more crab than filler, and the 12oz. filet mignon. The steak was cooked to perfection. Speaking of steaks, it bears mentioning that the serrated steak knives were not ideal, and cutting with them was not smooth, especially with the lobster tail. Their steaks come with various sauces, and I had asked for the Old Oaks butter, which was serviceable, but nothing spectacular. Next time, I'll try the peppercorn sauce. And there will be a next time. We are fortunate to have a high-end steakhouse in town now that Mastro's was taken over by Landry's. Landry's ruined Mastro's just as it ruined Morton's. But fear not, Old Oaks is the big boy in town now.

Great steak dinner with aged rib eye that was perfect to share along with broccoli and truffle fries. Definitely a special occasion place for us. Happy Anniversary dessert was special too. We’ll be back.

Reason for visiting: brother's early birthday dinner with the homies Date/time of visit: Friday night, 8:00 PM Parking: we started day drinking 🤭 so we parked at parking lot for Tarantula Brewery (~8 min walk, ~1 min drive; doesn't seem to be a time limit or it's not enforced. We parked there for 8+ hours 😀). There's valet at the Steakhouse, not sure how much. There's some street parking next to the restaurant too. Free. Party size: 7 Environment/ambience: they sat us in the back room; kinda stuffy/hot back there. But not too bad. No TVs; there's a bar area too. Clean restrooms. The people dining at the restaurant were friendly too! Ended up going to Tipsy Goat afterwards with a couple that we met there (~8 min walk back, directly across from Tarantula Brewery). Reservations are recommended too. Service: was great! Server was friendly; drank with us too (separately, not at the table). Offered recommendations too. Food: we did family style; Australian Wagyu, Bone Marrow, French Fries, Mac 'n' Cheese. They also offered a complimentary dessert for the birthday boy! Everything was good; steak cooked medium rare. Mac 'n' Cheese had no flavor but everything else was good. Bone marrow with the bread was awesome. Fries good too. Cost: $970, with tip Would I go back (yes/no):

The aged steak was cooked to perfection and outstanding New York chop house qualitys. Side dishes were fair but nothing else. Fairly comprehensive wine selection comprising some interesting Italian wineries and a few Rhone offerings.
The steak we had here was phenomenal. It took a few tries before we finally landed on our selection. We originally wanted the dry-aged New York steak, but it was sold out. We then ordered the dry-aged tomahawk, only for our server to return and tell us they had just sold the last one. We ultimately ended up with the Australian Wagyu Cowboy Cut, which was delicious. The sides weren’t anything exciting—just typical steakhouse offerings. If you want bread for the table, it is complimentary, but you have to specifically request it, as they won’t offer it. Given the amount spent, they really should include it automatically, since bread and butter are standard at most steakhouses. The service was nice, helpful, and not pushy at all. The atmosphere, however, was quite loud. It made it difficult to talk to my partner, who was sitting directly across from me. Our server even had to switch sides of the table while speaking with us because neither of us could hear clearly. Overall, I’d give this experience three stars for a $500 night. And yes, I’m rating the experience—not just the food. I don’t have any real complaints about the food itself, aside from it being a bit overpriced, but if the overall experience had been better, it would have felt worth it.
The food was fabulous, had the larger filet mignon, no bone. The atmosphere was nice, although my table felt like a I was in the middle of the road cause everyone kept walking behind me and to the side of me I would’ve preferred to be tucked in without all that traffic behind me from servers. But OK that’s fine. I’ll take that cause the food’s worth it, but here is the butt. I had this lady server who was just in a mood maybe? Wasn’t very nice wasn’t attentive. She’d be gone for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. It probably took close to 20 minutes for me to get my Coke. And still no bread other servers were giving their tables bread and attention. I wanted to ask if we can trade table so we can get someone else. We will give it another shot and come back again.
First time at this restaurant. The restaurant is very nice inside, tables are pretty close to each other, we kept getting out chairs bumped into by the staff going by. 3 of us at the table. My friend and I ordered the filet mignon it was a good steak and tender. My wife got the NY, she ordered it Medium and came out Medium well, they made her a new steak and now came out Rare. Manager and waitress tried to tell us it was Medium, but no go. They brought out a block to cook more on, but still didn't help that much. The flavor of it was not the greatest, and even putting it in the air fryer the next day was not any better. Loaded baked potato, was not bad. Will come back again to get a hopeful better experience. Manager was very nice and helpful

food was okay , there lobster bisque is not the best , tastes a bit watered down . There meat is amazing though no matter what you order . Also THERES NO WOMANS BATHROOM? Incredibly weird to me.. service was great.

Beautiful ambiance and our waiter was excellent — attentive and professional. If I were rating him alone, it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food and manager/ownership response ruined the experience. At our table of four, we ordered two $80 ribeyes medium rare and one filet medium. One ribeye came medium, the other was correct, and the filet came rare. Two of the three steaks were cooked incorrectly. When we brought it up, the owner came to the table and asked us to cut the steak open “in front of him.” He said steaks cooked over an open flame can be uneven and told us he could replace it if we “really wanted him to.” The tone felt defensive and dismissive — especially at this price point. Before leaving, we asked to speak with him again and were told he refused to come back to the table. That sealed it for us. Great atmosphere. Great waiter. But for the money, the customer service and accountability were extremely disappointing. We won’t be returning.
